1061  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic Implications of War on Individuals on: October 21, 2023, 07:36:46 PM
Am also wondering countries experiencing this war how are they surviving and how are they managing. Firstly in times of war everyone is expected to stay save first because life comes first before thinking about the economy and your investment. One thing with humans they will always find a way through no matter the condition.
I watched a video on YouTube yesterday where a little boy was crying that he watched his little nephew got bomb and he was crying seriously I felt very emotional.
So countries experiencing war there economy are at risk, peoples investment such as estate investment and other investments. So if you ask me what to do in time of war I will say you should protect your life first or the best is to change location.

Up Blues, Chelsea has taken the lead after a while before the Referee was called to attention on the hand ball committed by Arsenal player inside their box. Palmer scored the penalty kick with a brilliant shot to the left corner of the post.

Chelsea has the advantage now to win Arsenal but how are we sure that they would use this opportunity wisely to secure a win. Arsenal will definitely fight back for an equalizer and who knows if Arsenal might even win the game. There will be joy in Stamford Bridge this evening if Chelsea ends up winning this game.

Chelsea 1-0 Arsenal
I said it before now that arsenal are the favourite to win  this match, but Chelsea will try to contain them, as Chelsea players will see this game as a derby match, so they will come out all in to prove a point.
Cucurella is marking saka with all his strength, though I feel saka hasn't really recovered fully from his injury. Arsenal are really making a good attacking force, they might get something before the end of the first half.
First half has just ended, am not even sure Arsenal has a chance to win in this match, Arsenal lacks the effort to push through this match, am shocked to see how Chelsea is oppressing Arsenal. Seeing Jorginho running round the field with nothing to show pains me. Am not happy with the way Jorginho and Odegaard are playing this match but Saka is trying his best. Let's watch out for second half
1063  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Get a skill and make the best out of it. on: October 21, 2023, 09:54:59 AM
Any person wey dey complain about unemployment for naija just dey wait time, anyhow we complain no change so no need to complian. Even the least skill/handwork for naija dey pay well, na why everybody dey find handwork to learn. Truth be told I prefer owning a business small or big because expecting government employment for naija just dey as if you dey wait for thy kingdom come. When last government employ graduates na only when them wan come for election na that time them go bring job opportunities. Last time I checked skillful jobs wey dey pay well for naija the first one wey I see na writing so I sure say people wey dey engage for this writing dey make am.
1064  Economy / Economics / Re: Young people needs productive mindset to be happy in life on: October 20, 2023, 09:31:25 PM
...

I think if people really want to be happy in life, expecially undergraduates and young graduate they should learn not to give all expectations of having living job from the government.  If people create the mindset of being creative and productive in this era they will live a more happy life than putting all expectations of getting a dream job from the government.  A productive mindset is what young people needs to make life easy and worth living.

90% of graduates definitely think they want to become workers in large private companies and also in government offices when they graduate, but will this be easy for them to achieve in the future? Of course not, they have to compete with millions of other graduates out there, so I highly recommend that graduates try to think outside the box and turn the knowledge they gained at college into valuable knowledge for building their own business and personal branding, depending on living on a job created by the government will only make you die of hunger slowly.
As a graduate depending on government job is not the best, if depending on government salary one can stay useless and jobless throughout his/her lives. In this modern era where everyone is involving in different kinds of jobs that pays such as begin a web developer, photographer etc.
Now most people even prefer to be self employed, I personal prefer having a job on my own in my comfort zone and in my area been self employed pays a lot. So as a graduate having the mind set of creating a job for yourself is just the best idea rather than expect a government job.
1065  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 20, 2023, 08:48:22 PM
Arsenal passed their test against Manchester city although many people say Manchester were without key players like Rodry and Kevin but Arsenal themselves where without Saka and Martinelli was just coming back from injury so they definitely had to work hard for what they got.

Now Arsenal faces Chelsea who also has been coming back in form, I don't think it would be easy for Arsenal because Chelsea has now woken up and I think they have been playing well lately. Although if I was to bet on this my money would be on Arsenal.
Arsenal has been playing well so far this season and am very happy, concerning the Manchester city vs Arsenal match most people were saying Manchester city didn't bring out there best and it's Arsenal luck, bro I watched that match I watched how Manchester played they brought out there best but still yet they did not win. Most people say Manchester city did not bring there key players what about Haaland, Haaland played that match but it was not in there favour

I will also bet on Arsenal, from Chelsea's past matches I didn't see any effort to show that they've changed, no tight defence and they lack team work so I prefer to bet on Arsenal.
1066  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Why do people think is a mistake to be Nigeria?? on: October 20, 2023, 08:34:44 PM
Abi you no dey see how the country dey. Nobody go tell me say this inflation and the current situation wey naija dey no dey affect am, proud Nigerian or not, dependent or independent, business man or salary earner, naija current situation dey affect everybody, naija just dey fucked up for now and I no dey blame anybody wey dey talk bad about Nigeria. But observe people wey dey complain naija dey in many faces.
  • the jobless ones wey no wan make effort to do anything, them think say everything na government go provide na why sometimes wey flood come them go blame government lol, government don suffer.
  • business men: even this naija current situation dey affect business men too. For example the price of fuel, some business dey wey involve light, and them go need to buy fuel daily because the electricity system for naija na another problem. And business men dey short for money due to the price of fuel currently.
  • salary earner/civil servants: due to the inflation in naija, price of things don increase and no upgradment of civil servants pay, but things dey expensive, sometimes month never end money don finish.
Even me wey dey talk the country tire me because I go buy something today for market the next week price don increase, and the thing dey amaze me sometimes I go dey wonder. But we still dey manage for the country.
1067  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Marriage right wan de increase pass price of goods o! on: October 20, 2023, 07:45:53 PM
I don observe one thing concerning this bride price thing. And wetin you talk dey common for the south east side. Even if e dey common for other tribes e no reach the south east own For naija they're  commonly known for that.
I don witness situation where a man has a super market, time to pay bride price and marriage ceremony he use all he working money and savings do marriage and now the super market don fall. I dey see situations many like that, lol, thing dey happen sha. In this kind case who should we blame ?
The man or the brides family.
Most families go say na the tradition and na must to pay that big money all in the name of bride price but consequence dey.
1068  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / No Robot can take the place of humans beings to predict cryptocurrency (Bitcoin) on: October 20, 2023, 06:40:10 PM
In a modern world where technology has been dominating in all aspect, new inventions and new technology. Creating of robots in all aspect, marketing sector, agro sector, etc. So in the cryptocurrency space people use robot to predict the Price, gambling and trading of bitcoin.
  • the human brain is made up of billions of nervous tissue, and it can accumulate and store thousands of information. On the other hand robots has a stuck brain, that has been programme for a particular purpose, a robot cannot do further thinking. Robots cannot take the place of humans when it comes to prediction and future telling because robot has a stuck brain and can't think of what will happen in the future and if it does, it will give that particular answer all the time.
  • robots are been programme and it cannot think and act on his own, so robots are still controlled under human intelligency. In a situation of comparison, man is a creative being.
  • humans have the ability to think, the human brain has the ability to think and make multi decisions. And cannot be compared to robots in essence robots cannot think beyond the purpose and programing.
  • making use of robots to predict the price, gamble and trading of bitcoin can affect the feature generation, making the generation lazy in thinking aspect.
Conclusion: therefore using robot to predict, gamble, and trading is not a good idea, because the disappointment will be a great damage.
1069  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Is Nigeria's movie industry only favouring the ladies? on: October 20, 2023, 12:43:47 PM
I don reason this matter tire, but I go pretend as if I no see the hookup side for the Nollywood industry. Mr IBU na person wey dey act film well and sometimes when I dey watch those throwback movies I dey laugh, because IBU na person wey funny.

But you talk say men no dey make am reach women for the movie industry and that's a lie. Let's talk about quality Nigeria movies before I talk about the rich male actors. IBU na actor wey dey act oh but you never observe say anyhow film funny reach, people don dey watch quality and standard films, now naija movie industry don upgrade because others too dey upgrade for example: shanty town, blood sisters, brotherhood etc. People no dey get time for local movies again, even me wey dey talk no dey reason local movies again. Make I mention actors wey feature for this movies wey get money scatter, RMD, Deyemi okanlowon, Tobi, IK ogbonna. So men too dey make am for the movie industry no be only women.

Okay most people for the comment section dey talk say the women dey involve for hookup, that one no be lie. What about the music industry for niaja why e be say the men dey make am pass the women, or abi the women for the music industry no dey do hookup.
No allow all this celebrity fake life style deceive you. No be all of them get money na packaging them dey do.

But wetin dey pain me for this Mr IBU case be say money never come to do the surgery, all these celebrity suppose don support there fellow man IBU with the money. No be when he die every celeb wan post am that one na evilness. One thing I observe for naija music/film industry be say them no dey help each other. Na the same thing  happen to mohbad too, nobody gree give am listening ears na so the guy take die. Almost all the celeb page wey I dey see for IG don post this IBU case and money never still reach for the surgery, I pray to God rest in peace is not the way people shall trend.
1070  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Which does good leadership depends more on? Age, experience or education? on: October 19, 2023, 07:57:35 PM
From what you've just mentioned age, education, and experience which one is preferable.
Education: every leader is ought to be educated, been educated does not guaranty a good leadership. Most leaders are educated but lacks the ability to rule a nation.
Age: age is just a number, so age difference cannot determine a good leader
I will go with experience, there's a saying experience is the best teacher, having a leader that's well experienced in the system matters a lot because life is all about experience.
1071  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / 2020 lekki shooting on: October 19, 2023, 07:24:13 PM
20 October 2020
A day Nigerians will never forget, 3 years remembrance, ENDSARS. Dear Nigerians remember that on this day 20th of October 2020 the endsars movement was formed to fight the suffering, harassment, unjust detentions, continuous abuses.
Some Nigerians youth who protested peacefully because they were tired of the abuses and suffering were murdered and brutalize by angry soldiers at lekki toll gate.
I kept on wondering who sent the gun men to murder and injure peaceful protesters but no answer.
Today we honour the youths and heros who sacrificed there lifes at the endsars toll gate in lekki.
On this sombre three years anniversary the youths of Nigeria demands:
  • release all political prisoners
  • accountability and compensation for grieving families and including dignified burials.
  • permanent memorial at lekki toll gate
  • release of all judicial inquiry reports
  • prosecution: youths demands justice for souls lost on 20 October 2020
Rest in peace to those we lost at lekki toll gate

1073  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: What really happened to Nigeria Economy on: October 19, 2023, 11:11:42 AM
Nigeria economy so far has been an issue, if proper care is not taken or if our leaders don't act right concerning our economy, I think the economy will continue to decrease.
But from my paspective, empowerment can contribute to the growth of Nigeria economy.
Youth empowerment could be considered as providing investment opportunities for the growth of our economy such as; information technology, agro_industrial ventures cash and food crops farming, poultry etc.

In Nigeria between 2021_2022 the rate of youth unemployment ranked at 23.1% according to the national bureau of statistics (NBS) report. This portends danger to the health and stability of the country economy at large.
In a county where citizens are not empowered and has no job how will the economy grow. Let me use my state for example, the previous regimes of the state had never done any concrete programme to allievate the issue.
However youth between April 2018, the bayelsa state government sent about 300 youths to Abuja to undertake training of computer, after completion laptops were provided for them. Again another scholarship were offered for 150 youths to go to UK to acquire further knowledge on modern technology on e_banking.

Subsequent on these the outcome are very poor and discouraging. Secondly unemployment of the youth can be attributed to bad government and poor economy.

In conclusion the Nigeria government should redirect its attention for youth empowerment programmes to two critical areas such as; information technology and agro business ventures for the growth of our economy, these would also improve the gross domestic product (GDP) of Nigeria at large and this would enable the nation to compete with the rest economies of the world, and would also increase the incomes of the youths
1074  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you leave gambling if your future wife/husband tells you to do this ? on: October 18, 2023, 08:29:03 PM
Will you leave gambling if your future wife/husband tells you to do this ?
I am not gambling like an addict, so I will not expect my fiancee to determine what I will do or not. But I noticed women correct when they know their boyfriend is affected by gambling, but I am not that type of person.

For people that are addicted, if their wife or fiancee or girlfriend tell them to quit gambling, I will dice them to do so.
If the wife /husband does not like gambling definetly the wife will suggest the husband stop gambling. Secondly if anyone is stopping me from doing something I love very much at least you must give me some reason why I should stop.
Gambling affects mental health a lot and it gets very annoying. So I believe if you're wife is telling you to stop there must be a reason and to save your marriage or relationship is better you stop.
1075  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Government job or private job? on: October 18, 2023, 07:58:20 PM
It depends, like for me I will prefer a government job.
Here in my country government offer a quality pay for there workers, secondly the time spent on some government work in my country is just 5hrs, and government workers have the opportunity to engage on other work and business.
But in the private sector the work time might even take a whole day and with no quality pay. So I will prefer a government job
1076  Economy / Economics / Re: Cracking the Code of Saving Money... on: October 18, 2023, 07:38:16 PM
1) spend wisely

2) avoid living a luxury lifestyle to impress people

3) avoid unnecessary spending

4) if you want to save, settle for lesser price product

5) make a list of necessary needs, like if you're a salary earner, after receiving your monthly pay, write down list of what you need throughout the month, then you set the money aside.

6) make use of trusted wallets to save your money.
1077  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: We should control our tongue at all time. on: October 18, 2023, 01:49:24 PM
Anything wey me I dey talk, I make sure say I talk am for the right place and the right time, wetin the girl talk na truth, police men for naija now don lazy finish. Sometimes sef na empty threat them dey do. I fit remember when I dey travel, police men stop the bus wey I enter to check people logage and them charge the bus driver money, but if na thief or harm robbers police men see that night them for no fit do anything rather na them go run. For naija, work wey road safety officer suppose do na wetin police man dey do.

But why I dey blame the girl she no suppose talk am for there, just imagine me telling a police man that they're thiefs I dey try tell them make them thief my money na, and I sure say as that girl talk that thing they mind don happy because money go finally drop and them go charge the girl.

1079  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's your view on abortion? on: October 17, 2023, 08:03:34 PM
Abortion is something that's very risky so someone cannot just jump to make some decision like aborting a baby, but sometimes it depends.
I don't see abortion as a thing of joke, if one can produce a baby with one night stand or not, the person must also take responsibilities, aborting the baby is not the right decision, why? Abortion is a sin!!
Most hospital doesn't support abortion, or probably if the condition is critical and the baby needs to be terminated that's when the doctors can conduct an abortion, but in a case where nothing is wrong the baby is fine I see no reason for aborting the baby.
And sometimes in the process of abortion something wrong might happen, maybe death or damage to the womb.that's why most girls/women can't give birth.
Have you not heard of this saying prevention is better than cure, instead of adopting abortion as a way of reducing population why not make a family planning, family planning is the best way to reduce population why? Because it's recommended by doctors and nurses
1080  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Flood the natural disaster on: October 17, 2023, 05:35:54 PM
Just like what you said flood is a natural disaster. Flood has been destroying peoples properties, crops, taking lives. For the past 3 years flood has been one of the major topic in my country, but have we thought of what we can do to prevent this flood.

I can still remember last year when my country experienced flooding, and it was very embarrassing, but governments maked sure the citizens are safe. People who properties were were destroyed, government provided a house, foams, free food stuffs at that time, but still yet people where not happy due to the destroying of properties.
Knowing the fact that flood is natural but it can be limited.
How can flooding be limited, constructing of rivers, drainage, canals, will limit the flood, by so doing the flood can flow to the drainage and canals.
