1061  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ethereum grow like bitcoin ? on: November 22, 2017, 02:26:09 AM
I believe everyone is aware of Ethereum and it's unbelievable pump which we witnessed in mid of June this year and all i am wondering is will Ethereum be the contender for the most reliable crypto currency ? is Ethereum the next big thing ?
Were you sleeping? ETH is the second coin in market cap, the only coin above is bitcoin, the first cryptocurrency, you cannot ask for more than that, those that want ETH to surpass bitcoin are asking too much in my opinion, ETH has already reached amazing heights.
1062  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it good time to buy Bitcoin? on: November 22, 2017, 02:23:41 AM
It is never a good time now to buy bitcoin.

If you cannot wait for 1½ years, at least wait for a month.

Bitcoin at $10,000 is only a self-delusion - the logic is inconsistent.

Bitcoin is all about buy-low sell-high - nothing about buying bitcoin (viz other crypto) for its "especial" value and to HODL. Buying bitcoin now to hold and handing them over to your grandsons is not an investment strategy Grin

You must have bought at lows before you could sell at high. Come bitcoin $10,000.

Why should there be such buyers for bitcoin at $10,000 when you yourself are already off loading.

This logical inconsistency means there never will be a bitcoin $10,000 - there is no bitcoin $10,000 to celebrate this Christmas. Only gloom for those invested in bitcoin above $6000.

A lot of FUD but not enough substance you give no explanation of why you think bitcoin is not going to reach, 10000 dollars, anyone that looks at the charts and does so with honesty will see that bitcoin reaching 10000 is almost inevitable, it is going to happen at some point in the future and there are good chances that happens before the end of the year.
1063  Economy / Economics / Re: Generating Passive Income on: November 20, 2017, 07:46:17 PM
Proof of Stake would be the way to make completely passive income off of a cryptocurrency. Check out the mechanics behind any PoS coin. I've learned personally that you need a pretty hefty amount of coins to really produce anything significant from them though. But it is passive regardless. You'de be better off learning about trading to make money with crypto. Obviously, that is not passive though. Personally it's a big goal of mine to establish a few passive sources of income even outside of crypto. Keep the money flowing!
I think we all want that but it is not easy, because in order to produce passive income in fiat you need a lot of money as well or a lot of talent, so I suppose generating passive income is one of those things that is going to keep eluding us for some time or at least until bitcoin skyrockets and we can use our new found wealth to generate the passive income we are looking for.
1064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: "Onion" - THE BABY GIANT! 10000%+ coin for 2018 on: November 20, 2017, 07:43:14 PM
Usually when i hear TOR, It registers as something that wont go mainstream, But there really is alot of good tech behind this project.
You are right but that does not mean there is not money to be made, just look at Dash and monero, two anonymous coins that are in the top 10 in market cap so while the amount of people that could potentially use deeponion is small if the project is solid there is chance the project succeeds.
1065  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to stop ICO ? on: November 20, 2017, 07:39:28 PM
every single day ICO projects always appear with their respective advantages. but in fact, many are experiencing failure in the end. they just waste time and spend money to advertise? how about you're opinion Huh
It is inevitable, while there are a number of icos that are a scam there are other projects that have good intentions and simply fail, that is jut the nature of the market and since there are no rules about which person can create an ico so I think this is a problem without a clear solution.
1066  Economy / Economics / Re: Alt coin price manipulation is much easier than with BTC on: November 20, 2017, 07:37:05 PM
Anything with a lower market cap is easier to manipulate. This is true too in the penny stock market. Enter with buy and sell limits and protect yourself. Otherwise sharks will be waiting to hose you.
Correct, and this not only applies to the market cap but it is a law of physics the bigger an object is the harder it is to move it, and the smaller an object is the easier is to move it so it is not surprising this elemental principle also applies to money and price fluctuations.
1067  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin had a stable price, would it still be as popular? on: November 17, 2017, 06:42:25 PM
Stability is what people are looking for. People like to experiment and with the experimentations come big expectations when investing in BTC. People invest hoping that they will get rich someday, maybe even overnight but in the end, when they see small drops from a current state of value, people would be satisfied with the stable price that would give them some kind of security for their investment.
I disagree. Most people are on bitcoin because of the huge price fluctuations and every time the price of bitcoin goes down threads about the future of bitcoin begin to emerge, even if the drop in price was nothing but a minor correction, just look at the last week there were threads about bitcoin cash replacing bitcoin and it was ridiculous.
1068  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Good Altcoin for longterm investment on: November 17, 2017, 06:39:20 PM
Bitcoin cash is a very good altcoin that the price for the past few days/weeks has doubled it's price which by the end of the year might become expensive than it was. Some ETH and XRP are also good ones.
Bitcoin cash is just a fraud and a scam, the price cannot move naturally the way it did, it is obvious the price was being manipulated by the whales, the miners and the exchanges so avoid that coin, if you got something from the fork you can sell it or hold it but don’t buy it.
1069  Economy / Economics / Re: The best time to invest. on: November 17, 2017, 06:36:27 PM
There is no best time to invest because it is just not possible to guess the best time to invest no one knows when you need to invest because no one knows when the price will go down or up so i believe it is not something like this.
There is in fact a right moment to buy Bitcoin but it’s very difficult to get it right which is why the most common advice in the forum is to buy bitcoin whenever you can afford it, don't worry too much about the price if you’re planning to hold for the long term.
1070  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin to be international currency on: November 17, 2017, 06:02:46 PM
Bitcoin is already international currency, because its available for everyone worldwide. And it is used almost by people from most countries around the world.
But it is not yet supported enough to become the first used currency, or to eliminate using fiat.
Yes, bitcoin is already become an international currency, usually countries which has problem with international reminttance services like paypal or people which the government is pose a excessive control over their money like people in china, they use bitcoin to solve that problem. The feature of bitcoin like fast transaction and low fees is make this currency even more interesting.
Bitcoin is already an international currency but the problem is its acceptance, you cannot go to many places which accept bitcoin, bitcoin needs to improve in that area and it’s going to do so but it’s going to take some time before we can use bitcoin in every country of the world.
1071  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are bitcoins only for the educated and knowledgeable people only? on: November 17, 2017, 05:38:26 PM
For me, it isn't. We have different talent and knowledge on how we give and do stuff that we love. Bitcoins are for everyone and we have the chance to try or even have this to earn and save money for our future.

How about you guys? Is it only for the educated and knowledgeable people only?
Ofcourse not! Bitcoin is for all people who are interested in using it. We don't need to be educatated nor knowledgeable about digital cryptocurrencies to be able to use it. We just need to be able to understand the basic concept of it all which is not that really hard to understand if we really want to learn it.
Bitcoin is for everyone but we cannot deny bitcoin has some limitations especially for those that are poor, you need to have a computer and access to the internet, and for many poor people those are luxuries they cannot afford so they aren't going to use bitcoin until computers become dirt cheap.
1072  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin UP BitCoinCash DOWN on: November 17, 2017, 05:20:47 PM
It was below $800 each one a few minutes ago, but now it seems that it is recovering and it is over $950 p/bcash at the moment.
it is increasing, i dont know the reason, maybe some people still have hope on that cash and this is why they are buying tons of bcash. I have never trusted in that coin, i only made some profit from it by trading, nothing more. But there is some people who switched all their funds to this coin, and that is insane because they all knew that bitcoin was never going to be replaced, not even by bcash.

Speculators are still playing with bitcoin cash, that is what it’s happening, but it’s kind of obvious those prices cannot be maintained in the long run and at some point the price will be were it was just a few weeks ago, and when it happens some will have incredible profits, mostly miners, and those with insider information and the majority will lose a fortune which are never going to recover.
1073  Economy / Economics / Re: Why people scam on: November 16, 2017, 06:13:35 PM
They scam because scamming is the best way to earn bitcoins because there are a lot of retards who invest in bitcoin so you can easily scam them and just get all the money from them. And you won't get in trouble because bitcoin is not being controled.
Right now bitcoin is a place that is not controlled so people need to take care of their coins to the best of their ability especially as we know there are no chargebacks in bitcoin, so we must be incredible sure that the person we are sending money to is not going to scam us.
1074  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Please recommend me 1 best Altcoin to buy on: November 16, 2017, 06:09:03 PM
Please recommend me your 1 best altcoin to buy. I have been researching so much for the next coin to buy but i am overwhelmed by all the choices. Dont recommend Eth, Ltc, Waves and Neo please. I own them already.
You can never have enough of a good thing, if you have the money to invest then those coins are at the top of my list but other good coins to invest are monero, shift, iota, dash or nem, all of those are good projects that can give to you good profits in the future.
1075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do Altcoins really have a future? on: November 16, 2017, 06:03:42 PM
With all the icos and altcoin popping here and there, not all of them survives or lasts long. Some of them just fade or disappear while some survives. Altcoin's future depends on its technology and developers and so as its investors. So long as the project keep on improving and the population of its investors keeps incrrasing then i guess that certain altcoin has a future.
While the community is key to the survival of a coin, the developer needs to be extraordinaire as well, you cannot just create a cone of another coin and think yourself as a great developer, you need to try to do something better than other coins or to find an application to the blockchain that no one has thought.
However, we do not need to have much application like now of the ICO market. There are many good ideas and all ideas is ok, I can not negate the idea of some potential projects. But, can the devs of these projects make their idea become the truth in future? And is it really improve our society or just useless?
Implementation is key, there have been many people that got great ideas but never execute them, just look at bitcoin, something like bitcoin has been imagined for a very long time but it was satoshi the one that could put the pieces together in order to create the first decentralized currency.
1076  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your best investment strategy? on: November 16, 2017, 05:55:29 PM
Personally i believe the best investment strategy is just holding as much bitcoins as we can into our wallets for the price increasing. There is many people created wealth just doing this and with patience for few years their bitcoins worth many thousands or millions of Dollars actually.
This is correct, many people complicate themselves with weird strategies that they read in a book, the easiest strategy is to just buy bitcoin and hold it for many years, such a strategy has many advantages, one is that is simple and anyone can do it, it does not consume a lot of time and you do not need a lot of knowledge to implement it.
1077  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in ICO, still promising? on: November 16, 2017, 05:51:52 PM
investing in ICOs still promising if you look carefully at team, project and roadmap!

another smart strategy is investing once ICO hit exchanges because many people are dumping their coins!
The only problem with that strategy is that is only true for coins that do not have a lot of support, for all the other projects that have huge support the opposite is true, you will see that after a coin like that hits the exchanges it has a tendency to go up in value many times the ico price.
1078  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I have 250 ETH, Hold or SELL? on: November 16, 2017, 05:49:15 PM
yeah, the price of ethereum has started creeping up. yesterday I see the price is about 0.04 BTC/ETH, now it costs 0.045 BTC/ETH, up about 15%.
really expect ethereum prices to rise again to 0.1 BTC/ETH  Grin Grin Grin
I do not know about that even if ETH is showing signs of moving, bitcoin is not going to stand still in fact taking into consideration all the factors I’m seeing I do not see how bitcoin will go down in value, in fact it is obvious to me that bitcoin is only preparing to go even higher in the next months and years.
1079  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it good time to buy Bitcoin? on: November 14, 2017, 07:47:09 PM
Given the fall in bitcoin in the past 24-32hrs, is it a good time to buy bitcoin?

Best Time to Sell Core version of BTC.
No Floor on bottom, it can go to $0 now.

Put in Fiat or Bitcoin Cash, smartest moves.

As long as some are willing to accept bitcoin as a currency it’s never going down to zero, besides people are being too optimistic about bitcoin cash, yes it went up but it’s still very far away from bitcoin in market cap and in the amount of people using it.
1080  Economy / Economics / Re: Are cryptocurrencies better than regular currency on: November 14, 2017, 07:38:50 PM
Honestly I believe bitcoin is better since one you don't use your credit card so you don't loose you needed cash but instead your cash that you could easily earn back from mining. Plus, it's open to all ages unlike credit cards.
I think it is not! Fiat currency is still better than cryptocurrency. Because many people are still not yet aware to the cryprocurrency. I think cryptocurrency will not surpass fiat currency when it talks about popularity.
Popularity does not make you are better, it’s like saying Justin Bieber music is better than Mozart just because he’s more popular right now, that is ridiculous, fiat is terrible but people use it because they never had a choice but now they have and eventually they are going to choose bitcoin.
