10601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Am I cursed? on: May 15, 2018, 02:05:29 PM
I don't know if I am cursed or something. If I sell a coin now from airdrop/bounty few days later that coins increases much that you will regret selling. If I hold a coin from airdrop/bounty again that coins price decreases much that you will regret not selling right away. I'm confused now whenever I sell the price increases and when I hold the price decreases. Am I cursed?  Cry
You are not curse, you are just greedy enough that you feel in loss if you sell those tokens that you got for free.
Sometimes you have to accept on what you got and don't ask too much for it. But if you insist and you are not removing that attitude of being greedy, just be grateful on what you have since you got those tokens from airdrop and bounty which is free.
10602  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Casino and gambling games based on Altcoins on: May 15, 2018, 01:30:56 PM
Just a simple google search will show you that there are alot of gambling platforms that already exist now that uses alltcoins for their gambling activities. There are legit ones and there are the ones that are scams just the same way with other coins and projects. You just have to find the right one if you wish to use the services.
You said it right, it's easy to research and look for the reviews to know if there are positive or bad ones.
There are many ICO's out there that are using the gambling industry to improve it's service and improve the use of blockchain. I can see that some are loving decent.bet but I don't promote it nor part of it and I don't have it. Just do your own research and I have no idea if their project is still going on.
10603  Economy / Economics / Re: Investment in Bitcoin vs Investment in Education? on: May 15, 2018, 08:51:17 AM
Education is important so it should go first. My parets would even tell me that its a treasure that no one can steal unlike any other wealth and investment, someone can steal it. However, its a case to case basis, there are people who lives in the poverty line and has no chance to study more. But if they strive to get out of that line and they suddenly find out about bitcoin, they are lucky.
10604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why should people invest in Etherium? on: May 15, 2018, 07:57:27 AM
This is one of many ethereum threads that I've seen in this section.

Surely you people have a lot of ethereum and you want it to pump. It's obvious when someone invest not only to ethereum, we all want to double or earn more than our capital. And if there's another reason that means you really like the coin as well.
10605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if this happened? on: May 15, 2018, 07:31:55 AM
I don't even know those coins that you mentioned.

VIU = 1 billion supply
Universa = 4 billion supply

I don't think that it will even reach $1 because of it's high supply.
10606  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Approaches 9k! on: May 15, 2018, 07:24:32 AM
I hope the rising trend won't end right away after Consensus ends. Slow progression is nice though
We don't want it to stop but that's not how the market moves. There should be a balance of its about to stop, it has to move higher first and then slowly moving. I would prefer the slow movement as it approach back to $9,000 and higher because this gives us the confidence that if there's a slow progress, there will be no immediate dump. Unlike the fast progression that we are all happy but after that see to it the market will collapse in a surprising manner.
10607  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: do you still beleive in icos ? on: May 15, 2018, 07:15:20 AM
You guys already got an hint that most of them are scams so why are you going to stay in it if the risk isn't calculated and you are about to be scammed? I don't join ICOs and never will be, if I'll join an ICO I'll make sure that it will be one of the best ICOs and that is being run by a real project and it is reliable.
There are two reason why I still believe ICOs:
1. I have never got a SCAM
2. I still got benefit from ICO

Maybe If I ever got SCAM, I will keep believe because reason 2.
Nice set of choices so if ever you'll be scammed, you'll remain.
10608  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Staying away from Bitcoin for 5 years on: May 15, 2018, 05:15:48 AM
You can come back anytime you want. This is just a way to avoid the fear that you are feeling right now.

But your reasons aren't really good to hear so why you are staying away for 5 years. If you decided to come back make sure that you have stocked a lot of it.
10609  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can a goverment trace you have BTC? on: May 15, 2018, 03:30:44 AM
How can the government discover I own BTC, let's say I'm from Venezuela where crypto is banned, what they can do to discover and arrest me?
I have watched an interview over the phone that if you are a miner there you'll be arrested.

Bitcoin transactions are anonymous and there's no way to trace you unless they have proven that you own that bitcoin transaction. But how can that be? there's no name of sender and receiver for each transactor so there's no way to find out unless you are too vulgar and will expose that you own some.
Is this in Venezuela? Are they so desperate to keep pushing their funny money? I mean come on now what a joke, make your citizens suffer because you want to continue to pretend your Fiat works.
Yeah mate IIRC that man came from Venezuela and the video was blurred and interviewed through a video call.

I don't know what's the real score in Venezuela right now but it seems they are really hiding from the authorities and they are not allowing someone to know if they are into crypto's, bitcoin or anything related to digital currencies.
10610  Economy / Speculation / Re: Market is slowly degrading on: May 15, 2018, 03:00:12 AM
Do not panic buying or selling. Better analyze and take the right position to get a big profit. Cool
Actually it's better to panic buy instead of panic sell. You are buying at the right time as bitcoin is destined to reach $10,000 soon and is heading through $20,000 after that. You just have to be patient and wait until the dust settles and everything starts to be calm. I don't blame if the market is moving slowly, this is all due to the reaction of the market with the sequence of events that we are getting through.
10611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can any other crypto replace bitcoin? on: May 15, 2018, 02:10:51 AM
I will say there are much coins in circulation that can replace Bitcoin as the Mother of all Digital Currencies.
There are much that coins that can replace bitcoin? I don't think so, there's plenty of them but it's impossible for them to replace the best crypto of all.
Some coins like Ethereum, NEO and litecoin have possible potential in the market to overtake Bitcoin few years to come, but that is much more like a thread going through the face of a needle or the nose of a camel.
How much time we are talking about here? I really doubt it that there will be the time that these coins you mentioned will overtake bitcoin very soon.

10613  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Consensus 2018 what's the impact to crypto market? on: May 15, 2018, 01:07:38 AM
Does anyone have any news on what they are discussing right now? It's about to end by tomorrow and we'll see the impact of the discussions there. This is one of the well known conferences in the world and each investor will have the confidence if they will be positive with cryptocurrencies.
the market is too tired to have a collective pump no matter what comes out this conference.
They should put an end to these collective pumps and make the market naturalized but they can't prevent it I guess.
10614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in BTC, Altcoin, or ICO on: May 14, 2018, 04:30:10 PM
As for me, I'm investing in ICO, more chances to increase the jackpot, but it's also more likely to fail, because you do not know exactly whether the token will grow in price or not.
You have said it already that it's more likely to fail so why stay on ICO's.

I myself didn't join any of it, I saw some in success but most of them are failure so it's better to buy bitcoin and hold it the jackpot is in there with lesser effort.
10615  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do when your coin spikes? on: May 14, 2018, 04:19:40 PM
I'm just looking for the opinions of others really, there's no right or wrong answer to this question.
What do you do when a coin you're holding suddenly jumps up by like 30% or whatever? do you try to sell at the peak of that spike and buy them back once it's gone back down again? or do you just keep on hodling?
I'd sell out if there's a 30% increase and will wait if there's a draw back or dip for that coin again.
There are certain coins that I hold that is mainly focused for long term holding and this is bitcoin but if there are coins that are also good for these type of trades by selling at peak buying back, it's also a good strategy for someone that diversified.
10616  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why the Cryptocurrency Market Is Falling on: May 14, 2018, 04:00:59 PM
Many cause crypto prices to decline, global economic problems and news circulating in the community can affect the price of crypto. But whatever the problem, holding is the best way to save us from losses when the market falls.
News that aren't giving good vibes to the community as it's dealt to spread not so helpful information but to only make the market collapse. Thanks to those coverage that are only there for the bad ones.
Positive remains to us who already know how to deal with this type of market. Since the Q1 has ended full of bad memories for the early start of this year but let's keep on holding.
10617  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crash together? on: May 14, 2018, 03:35:28 PM
I really think that the biggest stock players are also the whales in crypto.

When you'll see on how the market reacted after the stock market crashed, there must be some connection of it and that's what really bothers my mind and I can't stop thinking that there's a bond to these two markets.
10618  Economy / Economics / Re: A coin issued by some country government - would you go for it? on: May 14, 2018, 03:12:08 PM
Would it get more attention than some of the biggest coins now?
If that country will strict in implementing and promoting their own coin then it will have more attention than the biggest coins. AFAIK there are coins that was into the same thought of being held by a government but most of them didn't reached success.
A coin issued by the national government will become the official currency. The money will be used in daily life, transactions and transfers through banks. But bitcoin in Vietnam is not issued by the national government or accepted payment.
This can only happen if they'll make certain government rule that is dedicated for their coin.
10619  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin market recovering ? on: May 14, 2018, 02:12:41 PM
after long time bitcoin price start to recover from last month hopefully it will contineu in possitive site
While I'm reading this, I went to preev and it was around $8,300 the last few hours I've checked it and it's now $8,700, so quick.

Let's all hope that this is the start of everything and will go according to the positive speculations .

I don't call myself an expert but I think I can read charts a bit accurately and what I have found is that the uptrend is still not confirmed.
Not yet confirmed but once we see some hint, we can finally tell.
10620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH started rising again , is it as positive sign for market recovery ? on: May 14, 2018, 01:37:04 PM
Is it a sign of positive market recovery?
Not yet, it was down for today.
Many people predicted that that market will pick up after recent down fall.
I'm also one of those people that believe that it will come that way.
One thing is becoming clear that ETH is rising no matter bitcoin price rises or not.
Wrong. Eth is still depending to bitcoin so if bitcoin rise, eth will do but if bitcoin falls, eth will do the same either.
