10661  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Confido ICO Scam! on: November 30, 2017, 02:27:29 PM
We need an update! Where is aTriz?

What kind of update do you need? Atriz has already stated that he has been scammed as well and he is willing to pay those out of his own pocket. As for finding the scammer, I think he has done he's share of giving the information about the scammer and its up to those who are going to investigate the matter.

As you all know scammers not only have a entry strategy, they have also a very good exit strategy. Finding them will be very hard but don't blame everything on the campaign/bounty manager. It looks like Atriz has learn his lessons here to escrows or at least have access to the escrow funds before accepting a manager's job for a project.
10662  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Falling Dominoes? $10,000 Bitcoin Price Now Looks Inevitable on: November 30, 2017, 05:48:46 AM
It is an expected correction, a great opportunity to purchase. And he quickly stabilized to approximately the same values, which were.

Correction did happened, but it was quickly recovered and a lot of investors get into the picture immediately. Altcoins is suffering, so I think some cash out their altcoins and shift again to bitcoin during the price correction. So the mental barrier is broken and it looks like it can maintained at $10K level.

A lot of good news coming along the way, Nasdaq doesn't want to miss the boat as they have plans to introduce bitcoin futures as well.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-11-29/nasdaq-is-said-to-plan-bitcoin-futures-joining-biggest-rivals

So investment and financial institutions are at on board as well. What could go wrong now? Grin
10663  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy Entry on: November 30, 2017, 04:37:26 AM
New here and cryptos are crazy!!!

Looks like 10K is holding up as resistance after the correction.

Do you think its time to buy?
Or it will still correct to 9600 level.

Few questions though:

>> Do you have the funds to buy bitcoin at this price?
>> What are you plans, long or short term hold?
>> Are you willing to invest what you can afford to lose?

In my opinion, Bitcoin price will have a short term correction. It could happen anytime soon. But can quickly recovered again and go even higher as proven in the past. Bitcoin could reach $20K or more in 2018. If you are a long term holder then I say don't wait for the price to make a correction to enter the market. Just buy today and hold it for at least a year.
10664  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin 10.000$!!!! What's Next? on: November 30, 2017, 04:03:23 AM
This means that bitcoins will be taken seriously by those big investment firms, banks and all those other institutions. You can see it everywhere on mainstream news and this is just the beginning.

The issue is, tons of newbies are coming and they're looking to earn more fiat. That's a serious issue for long term bitcoin growth. We need to educate these newbies asap.

I agree. Hitting $10K is a big boost for bitcoin and crypto in general. This is just the beginning. Those who are watching from behind and observing or even bashing bitcoin can't really ignore the fact that it reaches a new milestone in history and should be taken seriously by big financial institutions like banks.

CME getting on board will set the precedence for investment firms. If this push through as scheduled next month, bitcoin price will skyrocketed that you are either to dumb to invest on it or you still think that bitcoin is a bubble that will crash anytime. It's your choice.

Those newbies will learn it the hard way. Bitcoin is not a quick rich scheme. They could educated themselves as they go along and learn from their mistakes.
10665  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Investments in the media on: November 30, 2017, 02:49:19 AM
Yup i think it's worth it if you invest in media it will be a big help on making cryptocurrency much more popular and a lot of people will benefit from it. It will help us a lot of people who's into crypto to spread the word about cryptocurrency and how it is really rewarding.

It could be worth if you invest in media in the beginning of the year because bitcoin hasn't reach that far during that time. And bitcoin will only be covered by media (not the mainstream media that we are seeing right now), and its all about the negative impact of bitcoins. (ponzi, HYIP, dark market).

But in the last couple of months, specially this month alone, bitcoin has captured mainstream media now that investment on it will not be a good idea anymore. Bitcoin have already a foot hold on people now and we don't need exposure. Just check google trends on how much people are searching for "bitcoin". And you will see that it can already gained wider audience.

10667  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Minergate? on: November 29, 2017, 12:13:51 PM
Is minergate a legit service? Is it a scam or downloads some virus? Is it worth the download?

I haven't experience anything with minergate but based on what I read here, its not a scam. I will get you some threads that you will help you decide it for yourself.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1975859.0

Just a simple Google search will give you that results. I read in one thread though that the withdrawals took 20 days to be received so maybe that's 1 problem that you can face in the future if you decided to invest. He was able to invest so it doesn't look like a scam at all. Although you can look for alternatives if you still have doubts.
10668  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is the price of bitcoin rising so high? on: November 29, 2017, 07:17:56 AM
One of the reasons for high bitcoin prices is the high demand of users. Bitcoin is developing, many people know it and use it. When bitcoins increase, people invest in it to make a profit.
This is the only reason why the price is so high, it will not be too high if there will be no demand. If the demand is low, there will be no reaction to the price of bitcoin. And the news are also affecting the price of it, when experts are being interviewed and give a positive feedback to bitcoin. Viewers are going to have a peace of mind that it's fine to buy bitcoin and that makes everyone to keep on buying.

yes besides that, people now know that bitcoin is really worth and the price will increase in the future and the highest price now it is just beginning. in future, maybe we can see the other highest price again. while people realize that bitcoin is precious, they want to buy bitcoin whatever the price and they will hold it for a longer time.

This is just the beginning folks. The $10K is just the tip of the iceberg. I'm sure with all the media attention bitcoin and crypto are getting, 2018 will be another breaking year for us. Mainstream media covering it and analyst doing their best prediction has really captured the heart of ordinary and casual people to buy bitcoin that's why for me this is just the beginning of a new era now that the 5 figures has been breach.

For all we know, those who attacks or continue to bash bitcoin has secretly buying it in the side. Because they can't really stop this train from going further. Now at the end of the year its $10K, next year it could go 5-10 folds.
10669  Economy / Speculation / Re: Institutional Investors - will they enter in current price or look to crash? on: November 29, 2017, 04:47:23 AM
Of late, there are lot of news in mainstream media and news on Wall Street getting into BTC. More of a good news though, but still I am afraid if they will look to manipulate and crash the market just like what happened with recent China instance.

I doubt that they can crash bitcoin to its knees when there are a lot of investors coming across the globe. And the crash due to China was not as result of manipulation, they really have to dump bitcoin because their government is putting a hard stance on it.

As for manipulation, very difficult, it should be a coordinated attack. And for the institutional investors coming in, they are much very welcome to enter, they have a lot of cash to pour into the system which is good news but manipulations? I doubt that they can pull it that stunt.
10670  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $10K bitcoin: It is now official on: November 28, 2017, 03:33:04 PM
Whether the price will stay there is the important question for me. We have crossed the $10K threshold a few times now but couldn't manage to hold on. If bitcoin gains a foothold past the $10K mark, then that would be really huge in my opinion.

Agreed, I think the major USD based exchanges need to meaningfully break past the $10,000 barrier to really gain that foothold. The Asian exchanges have always ran a few hundred dollars higher so it still is not convincing.

Yes, its mostly on Asian exchanges though. Coinmarketcap shows $10014.60   now.Let's see how it goes though, this is really good to see that it breaks this barrier but I wanted to see if we can maintain this price at certain point.

This is a big mental barrier for traders, its very tempting to dump some of your bitcoins and take profit, but I don't know that's why I will have to observe and see how everything will pan out in the next couple of days. It's gonna be critical but I hope that we can really sustained it at least before a price correction takes place.
10671  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is going down. on: November 28, 2017, 02:41:08 PM
Is it time to buy? :-)

Looks like this thread was created when bitcoin cash was making a moved against bitcoin. Did you buy though when bitcoin floors at $5600? If you did then you are almost doubling your investment because bitcoin has already surpassed $10K today.

Right net week if not this week, bitcoin will touch the $10000 level if bullrun continues. As of this time, the bitcoin is $9930, and reaching all-time high. Many are anticipating some dips when it reaches $10000 level so better seek some signs of correction in the chart.

We already did, some asian markets like Korea and India has been trading bitcoin above $10K. I don't know if many is anticipating a down fall because they want to get it at cheap price or trying to promote bitcoin cash again. But nevertheless, we must prepare ourselves if there is a sudden dip after breaking $10K. Let's see how it goes.
10672  Economy / Speculation / Re: Historical day bitcoin $ 10,000 on: November 28, 2017, 01:39:09 PM
This is another milestone for bitcoin, although coinmarketcap $9977.16, but it looks like it crosses $10K earlier. I think the $10K barrier was broken much earlier in the Asian Markets but I'm sure Western trading platforms will break it as well. The outlook really remains bullish, I really thought that we can't break it before the end of the month, but bitcoin proves me wrong again.

Now we have test this mental barrier, such questions like it is sustainable for long term? When are we going to see pullback? We crossed this mark very quick though, maybe a correction will follow or this massive bull run will continue, but I'm very glad that we already officially hit 5 figure this year.
10673  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price Drops are only temporary right? on: November 28, 2017, 12:17:39 PM
The moves of bitcoin is unpredictable, it can go low steep or can spike in a short. Everything is happening with time as well the circulation around the cryptocurrency network. Here, it is similar to a cyclic process where things gets repeated. The price decreases and soon the same bumps high which is continuing from the early days. This confirms that price fall is temporary.

You should be used to seeing bitcoin price swings. Its just the nature of the market and there are times that this drop occurs very short or it can go up to a week. But we all know that sooner the price will recover so I guess drops are normal and temporary. When I started with my bitcoin journey, I was also amazes with the price swings, but as a matured, I said this is just part of the process.

I think its evident in the last 3 months, specially after the China hard stance on bitcoin. It fall dramatically to around 30% if I'm not mistaken but again, its just temporary and bitcoin proves once again its recovery capability. And we should also understand that price drops is not 'bad', its a good point to enter the market because the price of bitcoin is so cheap.
10674  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: JP Buntinx on: November 27, 2017, 03:49:41 PM
Am I the only person that thinks JP Buntinx is bot and not a real person? I searched and didn’t see any commentary on this forum. I’m pretty sure JP Buntinx is not a real  journalist. Thoughts?

Hello CherrySoda!

Good to see my name being mentioned on this forum, I think... The jury is still out on that one.

I am a very real person and it is the name given to me at birth. I do work for a few different sites and produce an average of 15 pieces of content per day.

That makes me a rarity, granted, but it is how I pay my bills every month Smiley

One thing you are correct on, however, is how I am indeed not a journalist. I never claim to be one either, mind you, as I am a freelance writer.

If I were a journalist, my daily content production would not only be less, but also more boring to both write and read.  That is a matter of personal preference, but it's not something I would pursue personally. As long as my employers are happy, I am happy, and that is all that matters in the end.

I think that's it. The man(Legend) has spoken. He already confirmed that he is not a bot. He is real and I'm going to follow your articles. I read a few and I say that you are indeed a good writer. And wow 15 articles a day? I think you are made a killing out of your writing skills man.  Smiley

Anyway, good to hear back from you. Just provided enough information though to keep this thread alive but I'm sure many have read this already and I'm sure that you will gain followers like me. Goodluck and keep the article flowing specially that bitcoin is hitting all-time-high and crypto world are buzzing all about it.
10675  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Be Careful with EXODUS wallet on: November 27, 2017, 01:29:11 PM
I'm using ver. 1.35.2 and so far my coins are all still intact. I haven't updated though with the current version. As other's have suggested, it has something to do with the network. A manual refresh might do the trick.

I'm assuming you already made back up of the seeds. I can't really think of what might have cause your altcoins to drop its amount. Also try to upgrade your Exodus as well, and see how it goes.
10676  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: JP Buntinx on: November 27, 2017, 12:02:01 PM
I don’t have anything against JP Buntix! I was just curious, because he is very prolific for a human. I wondered if anyone had doubts about the integrity of his journalism for that reason. Anyway, thank you so much for replying!

Reading about his biography, I found out that he is a Legendary member of the forum, so that alone would really tell about his personality. He is very knowledgeable and well experienced about bitcoin and cyrptocurrency that's why he can write very good articles.

Also- sorry, my original post was not very detailed...for some reason I thought everyone would know who I was talking about...and I meant to post this under the “media” or “press” subsection.  Anyway, JP Buntnix is a journalist. He posts about 8 articles a day on the Merkle...which is a source I know nothing about, if anyone cares to fill me in.

8 articles a days is just normal for a author who has a broad knowledge about the subject. Heck, they can even write one in under 5 minutes. He not only post on Merkle but other cryptonews website.
10677  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 9700$!!! New record! on: November 27, 2017, 06:42:37 AM

I woke up this morning and I saw something shocking happen. I see this is a very fantastic price increase. Everyone would be shocked and I'm quite disappointed to have sold some Bitcoin at the 9000USD rate, but when I'm patient enough then I can get more profit. This is a mistake and I still think that there will be another Bitcoin price increase.
Well, i am also feeling disappointed by doing a big mistake. I sold my bitcoin when it was $6000 a couple of weeks ago.
I thought the price will decrease again to $4000 and then it would be better chance for me to buy it cheap but everything happened against me.
I don't know if bitcoin ever goes down again but i am waiting the moment i see it at $4k-$5k.

I also sold some at around $9200 because I needed money that time. But I don't have any regrets though, I just took it in stride and be very to by it back when we see price correction later. The last update of the price I got is $9200 and I'm also as shock as you guys to see bitcoin knocking at the 5 digits. 3 Days to go before the end of the month, if we are going to hit it this month, then imagine would would be the price at the end of the year.

What's keeping bitcoin massive bull run? I don't know and I don't care. LOL. All I know is that bitcoin never stop to amazed us all.
10678  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can I earn bitcoin using facebook, youtube, or in any social media? on: November 27, 2017, 03:27:51 AM
Hi, I'm a newbie here in bitcoin and I'm not that really familiar with the methods and strategies in earning here.
Since this is an open forum and I don't want to commit any mistakes using it, i will just ask and get suggestions if bitcoin can be correlated in any social medias that i mentioned?
Thank you.

There are bounties that rewarded their participants with tokens though and not bitcoin. But you can exchange it to bitcoin. They allowed all to used all the social media's you have mentioned.

Its OK to commit mistakes, but you must learn from this mistakes so that you can't make it over and over again. I think everyone here committed a lot of mistakes especially in the beginning of their career so don't be afraid of it.
10679  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Virus change crypto address on: November 26, 2017, 07:33:43 AM
wHAT IS that virus it sounds terrifying waaah. Did you get back your coins? Im afraid of those phishing viruses.

This is what you called a copy-and-paste-virus. Numerous thread has been opened here since last year.

This is one of the latest:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1841658.0

That's why its very important to update your anti-virus very frequently and double check the addresses. Hackers are really targeting crypto because is very easy for they to stole our bitcoins and altcoins and they can easily hide it by using tumblers. So just be careful.

To the OP, bitcoin is irreversible so I don't think that you can get back your money. Thanks for the warning though.

Am I the only person that thinks JP Buntinx is bot and not a real person? I searched and didn’t see any commentary on this forum. I’m pretty sure JP Buntinx is not a real  journalist. Thoughts?

Why are you particularly interested with this person though? Did he scam you or something. Its fairly a practice in the writing world that authors used pen names. And the way I see it is that he is a freelance writer, so he maybe writing articles to other bitcoin news website and using another pseudonym.

As a side note, I would like to state – for the record – that I never bought or invested in Bitcoin through trading. All of the bitcoins I have earned since 2013 have come through writing, forum signatures on Bitcointalk, and running my own website.

So that's its mate. Looks like he admitted already that the is a forum member of this community and not a bot or something.
