10681  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin prices rise high on: June 18, 2017, 12:04:30 PM
BTC now is very exciting because of prices rising high.To all bitcoiners this is our day to celebrate and counting happy days for being a member of BTC.Its a great pleasure and proud to be a bitcoiner that sooner this will be known to all the world, thar one day bitcoin will be the number one currency to all nations. It blooms the heart of rising prices of BTC.It is insppiring to do good hard work now.
Bitcoin is not as high as we expect but we can only celebrate because the price has recovered after it dipped as a result of panic sellers and i agree its very exciting to be a bitcoiner has everyday is special you wont know whether tomorrow price will rise or dip.

Many people are now curious to know what bitcoin is, whereas once bitcoin was just underestimated, now upside down many people stop working instead they prefer to focus on bitcoin

Is this the impact of rising bitcoin prices?

I would not support quitting your day job for cryptocurrency its better to keep both jobs to increase your income
10682  Economy / Economics / Re: could bitcoin be replaced by another crypto currency? on: June 18, 2017, 10:44:21 AM
there is possibility that bitcoin will be replaced by another cryptocurrency because of the high transaction fee I think ETH slowly crawling to be number 1 crypto but bitcoin is the mother of all coins, well we don't know what will happen in the future, it could it be or not.
I agree most people do not like to pay high transaction fees which makes it unpopular for people who use it for their daily usage and resort to other cryptocureencies such as ETH that do not require to wait for a very long time to receive in our wallet. Its for this reason i think there is a chance another crypto can replace bitcoin.

10684  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if, we advertise bitcoin on T.V.? on: June 18, 2017, 09:42:42 AM
Advertising on tv is easy but you need a slot that will reach a large audience probably a slot during peak time of broadcasting , say during the most watched programme to give bitcoin the perfect stage
10685  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet withdrawal over 24hours still pending on: June 18, 2017, 09:37:34 AM

10686  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in 10 + years on: June 18, 2017, 01:05:45 AM
10 years from now bitcoin will be under pressure from other cryptocurrencies especially those initiated by banking institutions or well established companies which will offer a centralized money system that will likely have more support than decentralized currencies like bitcoin
unless they dont show interest in crypto bitcoin will be the greatest
10687  Economy / Economics / Re: What prevents companies from "losing" money in crypto? on: June 17, 2017, 10:35:36 PM
I know it is possible to sign up as a company to invest in Bitcoins on almost all exchanges where they sell Bitcoins.

But I am just wondering, what is preventing companies to invest big in Bitcoins and then pretend that someone stole their private key and stole the funds, but in reality they just send the coins and exchange them through a bunch of different currencies and Monero etc that is "impossible" to trace? Will there not be a lot of money lost this way? I mean hacks etc are happening all the time so how would someone prove they did not get hacked?
Companies are free to invest big in bitcoins but this would discredit them should the be found staging this and pretending that someone stole their private key and to trace them, data forensics can be used to help prove that they are innocent or guilty of the  act.
10688  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will BTC be at $5,000? on: June 16, 2017, 08:24:02 PM
5000 $ is a very high value. I feel that this achievement will probably hit the target next year. With some consideration that bitcoin users will be more and more. The increasing state of acknowledging bitcoin will make bitcoin ever more expensive. This is one way that can increase the price of bitcoin.

I agree,  $5000 is quite high for Bitcoins now due to the series of correction it is experiencing this recent days.  Though I still believe that bitcoin will one day reach a $5000 price per piece due to the coming good news about bitcoin.  I have not found any reason for bitcoin to go down in price except correction so I believe that Bitcoin will be going uptrend after this correction.
We have to wait for next bubble for us to see $5000  and high transaction fees are one of the reasons behind the drawback and why bitcoin has slowed down, once we have fast btc transfers, demand and price should skyrocket
10689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Ether surpass Bitcoin?? on: June 16, 2017, 07:54:03 PM
Surpass in what?
My thoughts exactly

In price, no way! In total market capitalization, this is possible. In total supply, already passed...
Its not impossible for ether to have a higher price value but for the time being ETH will remain second best.

Bitcoin total market cap will be surpassed any day now because of the increased smart contract based projects.
10690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Good time to buy Litecoin? on: June 16, 2017, 07:24:03 PM
Litecoin took a lot of time to put itself together even before there was serious competition from other altcoins they were not proactive

now that a lot of brilliant projects have taken off and this is when they want to organize themselves...having my doubts about buying ltc.
10691  Other / Archival / Re: Do you think that you're addicted to gambling? on: June 16, 2017, 12:16:49 PM
Am not addicted to gambling because I know when to stop win or lose
I know my bank limits and I can go for a long time without gambling without missing it and if I lose money I just accept the outcome and try another day when I have better luck.
10692  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Where to invest my Bitcoins? on: June 16, 2017, 11:54:24 AM
Best place to Invest bitcoins with the best returns and lowest risk would be your own wallet, it is less risky as no one will run away with your coins and you always know how much profit you have at any pointing time. My advice just hodl you bitcoins

10693  Economy / Speculation / Re: No need to panic guys! Here's why... on: June 15, 2017, 11:50:28 PM
$500 is an open invitation for bitcoin believers to invest and have a share to join the elite someday
But the truth of the matter is this price is all a fairytale that will never come true!

10695  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which alt coin will gain most value in 2017? on: June 15, 2017, 06:35:39 AM
You forgot to put Bitcoin on the list. When ethereum passes it, it will be an altcoin.
In this section Bitcoin is an altcoin not on any condition like Ethereum has to pass bitcoin to make it an alt.

Quote
Which alt coin will gain most value in 2017?
the first two quarters of the year Ethereum has performed well and will continue to do so
10696  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kraken stole my life savings on: June 15, 2017, 06:06:15 AM
Well, you went all-in into crypto market. Next time be more careful about it and don't invest more than you can afford to lose.

The guy didn`t invest anything,he just got scammed.
I don`t trust any exchange platform, even the big ones.
Making a 21,000 USD deposit into some exchange platform is a suicide.
Maybe the OP isn`t scammed and maybe Kraken are experiencing payment system issues.
Let`s hope so.
Even if  Kraken claims that their support is attending to more queries than ever before, a month is a long time to wait.
OP why would you deposit 21,000 USD without considering the risk involved...next time smaller batch payments should be considered
Have you been in touch with your bank to confirm if wire transfer was successful?
10697  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Worst mistake in gambling on: June 14, 2017, 09:33:14 PM
There are some regrettable moments i have had because of sports gambling... like betting $200 in btc on low odds of 1.04 which i lost

I have also lost money because of the "accept any change" option when i was betting on a soccer match and a goal was already scored a second after bet slip was submitted. so right now i stay away from such games
10698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty [IXT] InsureX blockchain-secured marketplace for Insurance Bounty Program on: June 14, 2017, 07:49:37 PM
Hey OP is InsureX  ICO live?
When I try to join the Crowdsale it redirects me to this dead end and why cant I see amounts of money invested in this project like other ico

10699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What coin to invest in for a month? on: June 14, 2017, 07:29:40 PM
Want to see how much profit I can make in a month. What coins are gonna go up and why?
Investing about 0.1btc

Thinking one of these
COVAL
WAVES
NXS
LSK
For me the best investing choose ETH for this year because it is popular because the contract is increasingly popular ethereum where most ICO use ethereum contract to provide the requirements for their coins

I agree Ethereum looks to be the coin on centre stage and all new projects are basing their coins on ethereum smart contracts which is also giving it price boosts as demand continues to increase.
OP Still want to invest in a coin for a month... ETH is your coin Wink
10700  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we going to hit 2500 usd ? on: June 14, 2017, 06:23:44 PM
What is your prognostic?
A few days ago we were flying as high as $2900 now the price has dipped so low and we just might hit 2500 usd...
just wondering what's happening to bitcoin thought we had a correction already
