While I was in college, making friends was pretty easy. It came naturally because I lived in the dorms and my roommates and I always hung out. There were also a lot of social events like school clubs, etc. Now that I've graduated and moved across the country for my job, I find that making friends is extremely difficult. My co-workers are at least 10 years my senior. I don't really have any peers to connect with on a more personal level.
How did you guys make friends outside of college/school?
My advice to you is to join local clubs, or organizations, like Scouts, fitness club, fisherman, a book club, dance, whatever you like to do in free time, and visit regularly their activities and events. In this way, in more natural way, you will find new friends very quickly, believe me

Finally! I've been looking forward to see what comes out of this experiment and project. At least now, it's really started. I hope they report their findings during this school year, also, and don't just wait to release everything they learned at once once the school year is over.
This is really great news! I wish I'm MIT student to

You can buy bitcoin through exchangers, as suggested above, or earn them through some paid work, like joining signature campaigns, which you can find under market services section on this forum. Also, my advice to you is to buy bitcoin now, because their price isa low at the moment, and when their price raise again, sell them and collect profit

list those who do not want the bitcoin price to take off?
What do they gain?
That would mostly be the current super elites, they have no reason to want bitcoin to take off: 1.) They already control money and resources on the planet 2.) They dont need bitcoin to move money fast & securely 3.) They make profit from the 3rd party money transaction confirmation system Very good points. World banking and financial institutions are the biggest enemy of bitcoin. If bitcoin project become successful, and mainstream, they will loose financial power and control over average people. They will do everything in their power to prevent it!

Invest your money in education, learn new skills, connect with the people, search the market and try to find where you fit in. Check yourself, what I know and how I can contribute to any company, what I have to offer?

Satoshi Nakamoto is man who want to rule the world, destroy all other world currencies and build one world government, one world bank and financial regulation. In fact, this is maybe true, not just another conspiracy theory about bitcoin

Just purchasing the BTC is not going to make this the NEW WORLD CURRENCY...we need to bring more btc in the mainstream.
I agree with this. All happy bitcoin users should help global promotion of bitcoin, contact local merchants, explain them advantages of using bitcoin as additional payment service, educate public... This is task for all of us and if we don't become more involved, bitcoin will grow more slowly.

Every security, even the best one, can fall because of human factor. If you will not protect your passwords or give your security details to others, or make weak password, or will not instal good anti virus protection, you can't blame others if something happened, only yourself. All this examples are also valid for bitcoin users.

I don't think so. In fact, you can't compare Bitcoin and FB. FB is social network, Bitcoin is crypto currency. I think that eventually FB will accept bitcoin as another payment option, and this will be added value to their service.

Maybe is World economy and monetary system collapse and if a few important countries go bankrupt, and the major currencies like the US dollar and Euro lose their value, we'll see how bitcoin is becoming increasingly important player in the global economy.

Real Madrid 3 - 1 Barça Not quite a dream debut for Suarez
Great game! Modric was perfect, 40 accurate passing the football, no wrong, and Ronaldo showed one more time, he is better player than Messi at this time. It seems that Real had the better football shopping this summer

Yes, you are perfectly right! I paying mortgage for my house and feeling like modern day slave. Banks have to much power over us, simple human beings. I really hope this will change soon and bitcoin is really one step toward this goal (take power from banks and give back to the people).

1. Fast transactions, but only with fees 2. Secure, but only if you've taken the proper steps 3. Ability to have as many wallet addresses as desired
Very good points. I would add also a few more. 4. Very good investment for your money. 5. Possibility to avoid ''big banks'' and help to decentralize world banking.

40% of American wealth is held by 1% of the people. That is not good! 40% of BTC is held by about .01% of bitcoiners!!! How are we to get more distribution?
People who joined first, trusted more and invested more (and risked more), deserve to have more and earn more. So, this is prize for their risk involved and truat in this project. How are we to get more distribution? I guess this is good question for the creator, Satoshi Nakamoto

I think that your wife's country is not so important. Her character and personality is much more important. In every country you have good and bad people and this don't depend on sex, nationality, religion etc. By the way, my wife is from other country but I didn't choose her because of this reason

All my friends are on skype, nobody on teamspeak, so my choice is obvious and logic one. Skype!

japan or south korea may not matter - but mt.gox does.
china matters - because they are harming bitcoin more then doing good. Everyone should already know the primary driver behind last rise was not chinese demand, but bot and exchange reserve manipulation and insider trading. chinese news was more hype then substance no matter their supposed volume that is heavily manipulated.
Bitcoin and crypto does not need these nations - it will be they who will follow and accept bitcoin, not the other way around.
I think that Japan and S. Korea are very important in global economy. So, if Japan is officially a Bitcoin friendly country, this is very good news for bitcoin community. Hopefully, China will follow Japan soon and accept bitcoin to
