10761  Economy / Economics / Re: Can it be possible for the whole wide world use a single currency? on: May 03, 2018, 05:18:06 PM
I think that Bitcoin can be use as a matter of fact to be globally accepted.
Right now it is being used as a payment system and it's already globally accepted. Although there are some countries that prohibited it but the number on how many adopted it is many.
What is your take and which currency can you suggest to be accepted globally?
We are in bitcoin forum so it's obvious that I want to see bitcoin accepted globally without any problem. As I've said it's already accepted but it's better if those countries that banned it will remove the sanction.

What are your thoughts on scams? How can they be avoided and what needs to change in crypto? I'm down for discussion
You should escrow your transaction so that you cannot be scammed if you'll look for someone to transact with here in forum.

10763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC @20k$ vs Eth @ 2,500$ on: May 03, 2018, 02:50:27 PM
Both coins are solid investments, but which will you choose BTC @ 20k$ (just like what happened in the last quarter of 2017) or ETh @ 2,500$?
Bitcoin as usual. No matter what happens I'll a die hard fan of bitcoin and today it just jumped to $9,400 which is good.
I think ether this year will cost much more. My bar is about 5,000, but many forecasters are already talking about 15,000 by the end of the year.
This is a big prediction but this is more realistic than the $15,000 that you are saying.

10764  Economy / Economics / Re: Why fee and other stuffs are deducted?? on: May 03, 2018, 02:11:22 PM
Well we cant expect $0 fee for transactions.

There's no free transaction today before it was possible when the network isn't experiencing traffic but today, we have to comply and pay centavos for your transaction to move on.

It won't hurt you to pay $0.1 - $0.5 for transferring worth $1,000 of bitcoin.
10765  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to do in this bearish market? on: May 03, 2018, 12:33:51 PM
Well, I'd still consider the price of bitcoin now bearish, it just only recovered a little from the $6000 range.
Depends on how much you bought bitcoin before. I'm good with the current price of bitcoin as I bought it earlier before $1,000 so whether it went down from $19,000 I'm still in profit.

why not add more coins to your portfolio during the bearish market
Newbies will never understand that during the bear it's storing time / buying time.

That's your case, but for most people and if you look at the bigger picture of the market. I can still consider it in a bearish state.

Newbies will learn this soon enough after they've acquired more experience in the crypto community.
Yep that's my case and there are many of those that is in the same situation as mine. What to do on this bearish market, keep on holding and forget your investment for a while.

Experience is the best teacher and I've been through many dips and corrections that taught me on what's the best thing to do. Reading tips from the experienced one before that just hold and don't do the same panic selling as others did.
10766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: My bounty story (5.99eth) on: May 03, 2018, 11:29:19 AM
Congratulations for your success.

I wonder if you sold that 5.99 ETH already or you manage to do nothing and just keep on holding until it goes back again to ATH?
10767  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What happend 2140 all BTC are mined on: May 03, 2018, 09:43:51 AM
What happens in 2140 when the last BTC was mined with the confirmations of the transactions in the blocks and thus with the block rewards. There should not be more BTC than Rewards, because 21 Mill BTC were gemined.
How are the transactions then confirmed?
Miners will still do the job and they will now mine to confirm transactions and they'll earn through the tx fees. Read these articles for better understanding.

10768  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple - long term or shorting? on: May 03, 2018, 09:09:55 AM
What's your approach towards Ripple? I can see both sides making sense.
What side is making sense to you?
My approach to Ripple has been negative and I don't really like XRP since then. You can take the ride of this coin but I'm telling you that you'll regret if you think that this can be a good long term.
Do you think that a centralized coin can be one of the best?
10769  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Ethereum on: May 03, 2018, 08:36:25 AM
So where do you bet your chips?

BTC or ETH?
This shouldn't be a question, I'll bet already most of my investment with bitcoin and I'm sure that I'm not the only who did it. And base to the increase ETH quickly reached $717 easily while bitcoin is still moving in a slow pace at $9,200.
Bitcoin is mother of coin & Eth is the future bitcoin.
Where you really at siding? You are for the mother of coin? eth isn't the future of bitcoin. Bitcoin is bitcoin.
10770  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Hodl ether ? on: May 03, 2018, 08:00:20 AM
Should I hodl Ether or sell and invest in something else ? And if yes, then what should that new thing be ?
Bitcoin.

10771  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Bitcoin Cash on: May 03, 2018, 06:50:37 AM
Oh, I thought it will be free coins again for the hopefuls.

Well they are not looking on what they throw to bitcoin and now they are upgrading because of their issues, there's no perfect system but the existing one is the best but not them but bitcoin. They should have realize this and stop dividing the community and misleading the newcomers.

They already created millions of free BCH from forking Bitcoin, now they will fork Bitcoin Cash to fix what they need to fix but it will not be able to compete with the Bitcoin lightening protocol anyway
Thanks for your words, I'm not that too updated with them since I'm ignoring it.

Good to know that they will still not be too close to bitcoin as they are trying to defame bitcoin. And with the recent news that they have to face a lawsuit never stops them to claim that they are bitcoin.
10772  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin by Christmas 2018? (POLL) on: May 03, 2018, 06:24:04 AM
The only choice is to the moon? Those other choices were very low and I don't want to take any sentiments from those prices.
Too many people are vouching $2k, why many people are too pessimistic about bitcoin?
We can't help those people if they only see the negative side. Maybe they want to see it at that price so they can collect more and more and start buying once it was reached. We don't know if that is for real but this is just a poll and only few participated.
10773  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth it to take part in airdrops? on: May 03, 2018, 05:56:40 AM
Hey guys, what do you think about airdrops? It’s a good and easy way to earn money.
It's easy money for you guys but it's up to you on how you would take airdrops seriously. I've read someone is complaining here about airdrops and it's not worth it for him.
However it takes a lot of your personal time, so is it worth it to take parts in them?
It's free so why you would say that it's a lot of your personal, most of them are just signing up and you are good to go?
10774  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PURPOSE OF TOKEN? on: May 02, 2018, 11:36:58 PM
What is the purpose of token?
This is what most of the ICOs don't really have.

I am just wondering why people keep inventing and creating so much token at all.
They are assuming that they'll gather a big market cap that can benefit not only the investors but mostly them as the creators.
Try to visit those exchanges that has that token of yours in trade/listed so you can just sell it off and get your profit in bitcoin.
10775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Bitcoin Cash on: May 02, 2018, 11:26:03 PM
There is an upcoming btc cah fork so i am holding bcash until fork.
What another fork? What is this fork? These forks are totally abused and never stops, there must be some crypto law for this.. oh I remember crypto is unregulated.
Bitcoin Cash will be forking again, I heard this time it is to fix some issues with the chain and upgrade it to 8mb per block. No free coins this time though.

There is an upcoming btc cah fork so i am holding bcash until fork.
But after fork i will take my place on bitcoin side cause real bitcoin is more stable
What another fork? What is this fork? These forks are totally abused and never stops, there must be some crypto law for this.. oh I remember crypto is unregulated.
Like what majority says when there are upcoming forks, free money is still money.
until whenever I will still choose bitcoin, because I'm sure bitcoin cash never beat bitcoin.
It's the goal of the bcashers, they want to take over bitcoin but yeah they won't win it.
10777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is more secure platform in the future, Bitcoin or Ethereum? on: May 02, 2018, 10:23:53 PM
In your mind, which platform will have more transactions and therefore secure in the future.
With transactions it's undeniably ethereum but for security in the future, can you describe more of what type of security is this?

Secured in a way that many are using it or it's entire networks security?

I am talking about the number of transactions that is done and can be done by the network. We all know that one of the reason why blockchain is secured is because it is immune to mutation and according to Satoshi's whitepaper, the more the transaction is done the harder it can be modify by the potential hacker.
That's true.

The point is that bitcoin has more transactions that is done and confirmed compared to bitcoin
And this only means that bitcoin has tighter security or you miss typed it to ETH has more transactions?
There's the same discussion here regarding security and speed.
What is faster transaction Bitcoin or Ethereum ?
10778  Economy / Speculation / Re: what affects the price? on: May 02, 2018, 12:34:41 PM
what might be the reason why bitcoin's price is going down?
Plenty of traders are selling including those young lads that are panicking.

what are the major things that can greatly influence bitcoin?
News today has the biggest impact that is greatly influencing bitcoin and it's not only for bitcoin but for the rest of crypto's.
10779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is more secure platform in the future, Bitcoin or Ethereum? on: May 02, 2018, 12:09:05 PM

Keep in mind that Ethereum starts 3 years ago while Bitcoin starts 9 years ago. Also consider the fact that Ethereum can handle more transaction per second than bitcoin.
So what if Ethereum started 3 years ago? it's network can be also congested same as bitcoin.
10780  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much time do you spend reasearching your prospective coin buys? on: May 02, 2018, 09:14:49 AM
Im curious on how much time others spend on research?
Research doesn't really need any limitation on how much amount of time you have to spend.
As long as you are not contented with your gathered information then you have to keep on moving forward. Research never stops to any prospect coin that you potentially want to buy.
And that's how you decide if you want to hold it for long term or short term.
