I'd be willing to write you a site bottom up if you offered some incentive. I just don't have the time to make a site as a "volunteer".
I have 5 bitcoins to my name, I don't have steady cash flow to guarantee payment in a predetermined timeline beyond that amount tho that being said I could pay more in the following months just can't guarantee when exactly. Alright, i'll pm you in a few days so we can get started. Sounds great!

ESET Smart Security Access denied Details: Web page: http://www.pipboy3000.comComment: Access to the web page was blocked by ESET Smart Security. The web page is on the list of websites with potentially dangerous content. Okay apparently you are not the only one I just got another report claiming their anti-virus software is saying its bad, but I think it was becuase of my refresh() script (for prototyping purposes) so i don't have to click refresh while i prototype my web design, anyways I removed it let me know if you still experience this problem.

Replying to this quote:Well, if you can install/run bitcoind on your own server, you can do the JSON queries there with no limit and (probably) faster performance.
PM me with more detail about what you're actually trying to do and why (transaction wise, I don't need to know your business idea). I may have another solution to your problem.
....but right now i'm limited to a webserver, so i could not run this on my server.
I've only access to the webserver via ftp.
Looks like he doesn't have the requirements(which is full root Shell access, or a connection with the owner of the webhosting service... ) I just change to a VPS where i've got root acces, so right now i'm able to try different ways like bitcoin-abe. Does anybody use it? Could i do what i want with the help of bitcoin-abe? Greetings, Fredyy Bitcoin-abe's database is basically a mirror image of the Block chain in a SQL database form. The only issues with it is that it takes up just about 9gb of harddrive space and requires about 1.2gb of ram :/

I just started playing around with the client, and it's pretty neat!
However, after a bit of testing, there seems to be a bug in the JSON-RPC over HTTP service at ecdsa.org:8081 (and no bug over TCP on 50001). Over TCP, transactions to an account the client is subscribed to yield a nearly instantaneous message from the server of the form:
<-- {"params": ["<account>", "mempool:<len(h)>"], "method": "blockchain.address.subscribe"}
Whereas the HTTP version doesn't seem to report anything to the polling requests.
Could someone verify that this isn't me making some trivial mistake? I used "sudo ngrep -q -Wbyline '' dst host 78.47.154.42 or src host 78.47.154.42" to watch the traffic.
If you go up(maybe back a page or two) I read some people were getting balance mistakes from the ecdsa.org server but valid on every other server. it sounds like a mix up on the ecdsa servers only. This is a perfect example why lite bitcoin clients should always cross verify more then 2(or even 6) servers that which are owned/operated by different entities to gain confidence during transaction send/receiving, and information/balance queries.

Time to test this vanity thing out for once!
|
|
|
You could use electrums watch_address program and just loop it with different addresses to check for balances... this could all be done with maybe one line of pythoon code in addition to the watch_address program

one advantage of bitcoin is that it is fairly easy to automate. if you could post programming jobs with - a spec and
- 2 sets of test-cases, one public one blind
then a programmer writes code and when the tests pass the site could automatically pay out the developer. if he believes the blind test was written badly he could dispute it and there should be a resolution mechanism (maybe manual) on the other hand, i honestly see this only working for very, very simple projects/assignments. any real-world software i have written involved a great deal of communication between programmer, project manager and client. Hey now theres an idea, maybe once this project gets some footing it could implement a feature to allow others to join in the messaging that way the programmer isn't forced to relay messages from the project manager to the client or any other combinations of communication you can think of... that would be quite helpful!

The 2nd one sounds like a must and a great idea.
Agreed on #2. I would personally use this service since it would allow me to easily offload some coding work to a contractor without having to actually hire a long-term employee. Are you planning on starting this yourself? i am looking into it right now I just need to figure out designs and features so i may start writing it my self. pm me if you need a tester
