It doesn't matter if they can keep trading the asset on the AE. It's basically just like trading real NEM but in big chunks. Noone is getting hurt an noone has a disadvantage by letting them redeem until January 29th. What's the big deal?

So the AE assets have a "deadline" of the 29th, but can be redeemed afterwards at no penalty? Why set a deadline?
the deadline is set so theres a clear line as to who will be in the genesis or not. there needs to be a certain amount of time between finalizing the list of addresses and launching the blockchain. OK, so it will still be possible to redeem and trade NEMstakes on the AE for the two months after the deadline? Technically yes. In this case, will launch be put back to February ? Where is that coming from ? Launch is only being pushed if there are technical reasons. We won't push launch because people are not redeeming. People are already thinking its ok to trade on AE for another 2 months........ Let them. They won't be in nemesis then. Was I reading wrongly that no penalties were to occur for 2 months after redemption date....29 th.....? No. They will get their full stake. Not being in genesis after launch is not a penalty it's just a fact. If you wait for after launch it's kinda impossible to be in genesis. |

I can't start the NEM.jar with my Linux system. Also the webstart doesn't work for me. It says 'install the latest have version', although the latest java version is installed. Also my LG G3 isn't supported by Java at the webstart.
Are these errors known and worked on? Because as long as they stay like this I can't complete redemption phase 2.

Are you trying it on your smartphone ? I don't think that's going to work right now. Can you post the exact error when you run the client on your computer ? Pretty sure it's not saying 'install the latest have version'  /edit: Oh..I guess you mean 'install the latest java version' right ? Which version do you have ? You need 8. |

I followed the instructions and sent .1 nem stake to the address.

You DO realize NEM hasn't launched yet, right? Ok I dont understand how I see record of my nem though? Thought I would get sent the coins to my nem account? NEM hasn't been released yet, the official blockchain hasn't been born yet. It could have been at anytime. The basic blockchain and messaging functions work well and have for some time. New code and new platform. But the devs are trying to put in some special features so when NEM launches it can already do things on day 1 that others can't. Ok cool but is there anyway to see that my stake has been sent in and I will receive the coins? It's been a while. Is Nem launching soon?
Early December, we hope !!! We hope yes. If not then not. I'm not too worried about WHEN we launch. For me it's important HOW we launch. Launching a stable network that is absoutely bullet-proof and well tested is much more important to me than launching next month or even this year. Only few coins that have released recently have been written from scratch and they are facing serious issues. I don't know how Crypti is doing but NODE had some outages recently...again. This can't and won't happen to us because we won't release until we're absolutely ready for it. I don't mean to say we're taking things slow - hell no. We're going as fast as possible but as slow as neccessary. People will be able to be confident in our software and network from day 1 and that is worth a lot more than launching before some imaginary deadline. Other things - beside devlopment - also take time but as xtester said those things will be announce soon  |

Yes...ish. We split the process because we couldn't start registering addresses because that part of the code wasn't done yet (we swtiched curve quite recently) but we also didn't want to wait much longer so we started phase 1 where people can reigster their token and therefore decoupling stake from btt account. Originally there wasn't supposed to be any extended period or anything which is why the process didn't take this into account. |

there'll be an announcement but I'll just go ahead and drop it. The penalty of 25% will be dropped. Everyone will get their full share. Why would anyone be happy to loose Oo. I hope this as always goes to show that we do listen to people. So, I will get 1,000,000 NEM (100%) of my stake when NEM is launched? I have to claim it AFTER launch? Just to confirm... and that I'm happy... that was irony. Yes if you missed phase 1 (i.e. initial token registration) then you'll have to claim after launch and will receive 100% of your stake. Do note that after launch is not indefinitely. Currently 3 months are planned. |

I know, many people may have asked this question already. But here we go.
On Octobre 5th, I got a token through PM - no infos about what to do with it.
Now I read that I am too late to claim my stake... and I read about phase 1, 2, 3 and deadlines.
I was away for a long time and never thought it would be "too late" to get my full NEM stake.
So, please someone tell me, what I have to do to get my full stake. Thanks in advance.
You can claim after launch. Stick around and we will process you then. Just to clarify as you did not get a straight answer. Based on the rules at the time you joined the movement you would have lost your stake for not claiming it on time. Based on the new rules, agreed by the community, you will have an extra 3 months to claim but with a penalty. If you were to claim : - 1 month after launch you get 75% of the stake (that would be the best scenario for you right now) - 2 months after launch you get 50% - 3 months after 25% I'm sure you will be disappointed about this, but you still get loads of NEM and I think you should be happy some people fought to extend the deadline as otherwise you would have been even more disappointed right now. Please check the thread at least once every 2 weeks and you should be fine claiming your 75% of the stake. To sent the token without links and infos about claiming was bullshit. People on the list are the ones that completed both phase 1 and 2. Currentl deadline for redemption is 22nd. After that you can only claim after launch for which the process hasn't been announced yet. Has the launch date been scheduled yet? Or is it the same as the deadline of redemption. No launch date set so far. |

I'm really worried about the price. I can't believe i'm the only one.
And i'm worried because i see no reason for this falling: it can't be the fall of nxt price!
The price in NXT has risen during the last week (at least according to nxtreporting allthough i don't trust that). Why are you worried about the price at all ? NEM is a long term project and I can guarantee that there will be highs and lows. Panic sells are exactly what makes all cryptos so volatile (that and manipulators of course). i'm worried because i see no reason for this falling. I think it's normal be worry in this situation. Why do you think we are in panic sells? I'm not saying there are panic seels right now. |
