1081  Economy / Gambling / Re: Suddenly I am receving warnings for every casinos sites. on: October 11, 2023, 09:44:01 AM
I tried using vpn of USA and it works fine, My country has no prohibition towards online gambling. But don't know why I am facing this issue.
I tried all the things I written in the OP. Is there anything else which I am missing?
My windows update is ongoing for now, I will update this thread after a restart...... and also I have asked to other indian members that they are also facing this issue or not waiting for reply.....
If you tried VPN and it works, and you are using one of your country's internet service provider, that means they are the ones that is causing it. You can try to access the gambling sites on another device and see if it would work. The issue is strange to me and I have never seen it before which might make me not have information about it.

1083  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Which mining pool is more profitable to mine with ipollo v1h 950mh/s on: October 11, 2023, 06:55:19 AM
Which mining pool is more profitable to mine with ipollo v1h 950mh/s ,anyone knows Cheesy
You can not mine bitcoin with a mining machine that is generating just 950 mh/s. This will not mine bitcoin profitably. If you have good electricity that is constant and cheap, you can get yourself something like Bitmain Antminer like S19 pro or stronger one which will generate at least 100 th/s.
1084  Other / Beginners & Help / You data is not safe on centralized exchanges on: October 10, 2023, 12:56:06 PM
How do hackers know who to send messages to?

Quote
Hong Kong police warned users of the scam in an Oct. 9 post to its Facebook page dubbed “CyberDefender.”

“Recently, fraudsters posing as Binance sent text messages claiming that users must click the link in the message to verify their identity details before a deadline, otherwise their account would be deactivated.”

Is the message randomly sent to people? I think the hackers target Hong Kong Binance users and that can only be from data breach or insider work.

Quote
According to the post, the phishing scheme has seen 11 Hong Kong-based Binance customers report combined losses of more than $446,000 (3.5 million Hong Kong dollars) in the last two weeks.

If it is someone like me, this is easily avoidable, but what if it gets to the hacker's selling peoples data to thieves and which can lead to physical robbery and attack.

1085  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can somebody make a successful career in gambling on: October 10, 2023, 12:22:08 PM
As the gambling industry is evolving, I think innovations would have kicked in that can make someone create a career from gambling. I do not know how this can be achieved but I feel it is possible.
You think it is possible. That thing that makes you to think that it is possible is driving you to gambling and a way to be addicted to gambling which will lead to significant loss of money.

Making gambling a full time job might be seen as risky but I still feel one can make gambling full time job and a career.

What do you all think?
This is how gambling addiction starts. Change this way of thinking for it not to affect you negatively. There is no career in gambling except you create your own gambling site that people will be using to gamble.
1086  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: is there any safe ways out there to get 10-15 % ANY return rate ? on: October 10, 2023, 09:47:45 AM
I know of two coins which are Atom and Dot. You can stake them to earn. The APY for atom is 18% while the APY for dot is 15%. For the dot, the minimum amount that you can stake is 270 DOT. You can stake this two coins on noncustodial wallet that support their staking. There are other coins but which I can not advise anyone to go for.

crypto exchanges upto 15 %   - but are they safe to put money there ? like nexo , kucoin ?
Not your key not your coin.
1087  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's a strategy to lose on: October 10, 2023, 09:36:17 AM
I don't know how you came to the conclusion that gambling is all about luck. I don't seem to agree with this because luck cannot take the place of risk management, skill and others. Luck is just a factor but not all there is to gambling. If you a strategy, you can actually make good winnings and you don't necessarily have to rely on luck to win. There is no logic that can explain that the multimillion dollar gambling industry is entirely governed by luck.
The multimillion dollar gambling industry are growing all because they make money from people than people make money from them. Games played are in a way the gambling industries are favoured than gamblers. There are some strategies that can be used to gamble, but that does not mean gambling is not still about luck. Because you have risk management, that does not mean the little amount of money used to gamble is not luck if you win.
1088  Other / Meta / Re: How many people use Tor to access TalkImg? on: October 10, 2023, 12:13:50 AM
I wish to be using Tor for this forum and any other thing that is related to it, but this forum itself is frustrating while using Tor while having problem with cloud flare or captcha or what it is called.

I have been using your site to upload images but truthfully I have not been using Tor for it.

I do not think using VPN is bad. But some people may want to be more private and that is why Tor will be good.
1089  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do crypto sport books have better odds than "licensed" ones? on: October 09, 2023, 08:55:53 PM
The odds on other sportsbook is not very different from the other though. The odds on Stake are not very different from what is in Sportsbet. Comparing it to a fiat base casino would be a different story but all fiat base casino odds are almost exactly the same as well.
With what I have noticed on gambling site bookmakers, it is true that the odds are different but very similar and no big difference. I have many sport gambling sites that I am gambling, but I do not bother to check their odds again individually because the odds are almost the same. Another thing is that I can not because of odd differences leave a licenced gambling site for unlicensed ones becuase my country allow gambling and make it legal.
1090  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DCA method on: October 09, 2023, 08:09:03 PM
I don't know if anyone else has different opinion about it?
DCA is a good idea for people that are earning little amount of money weekly or monthly in a way they can not invest the total amount they which to invest all at once. But this topic is becoming common these days on this forum. I think you should search for DCA related threads on this forum and see how often people are using it to make topic. This one is today: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5469725.msg62968022#msg62968022
1091  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Correlation between buying and selling of bitcoin: Is it a technical methodology on: October 09, 2023, 12:12:00 PM
Marketcap = bitcoin price x circulating supply

Bitcoin price = marketcap ÷ the circulating supply.

From the calculation, you can see how marketcap is proportional to the price.

The more people buy bitcoin, the marketcap increases which is directly proportional to the the price. The more people sell bitcoin, the marketcap decreases which is directly proportional to the the price.
1092  Other / Meta / Re: bitcoin discussion board have lot of unecessary questions on: October 09, 2023, 09:30:48 AM
bitcoin discussion board have lot of unnecessary questions which is mostly not helpful to increase knowledge or learn something new.
most of them start thread about "my first bitcoin purchase" i convinced my dad to invest in bitcoin, "bitcoin is life", etc. which is mostly a waste of time for good posters.
On each post, you will see report to a moderator, click on it and report it. If your report is good, moderator will take the thread down if a topic is a spam. But if moderator do not take down the post, leave it be becuase this forum is a bitcoin forum and we can discuss anything about bitcoin. If I invested in bitcoin and it gave me 5x return and I used it to build house, I can be happy to bring it to this forum.

most users post low quality replies to get post count for signature campaign, and the other users start threads like these because many members award them merits, show my request is stop replying to them if it's not an important discussion.
Signature posters are better than bounty hunters. Report the posts that you see unworthy.
1093  Economy / Gambling / Re: My best SPORTSBETTING advices! ⚽️ on: October 08, 2023, 04:10:41 PM
1. Always do some kind of research about the game and teams you gonna bet on. (Are some important player injured? Is a team good or bad home/away? Does a team have extra hard against a specific team?
I think this is easily noticed from the odds.
It may not all the time be noticed from the odd. I always analysed a match before I bet with it. There was one wiith the home team having exactly 2 odds and the club started to win from the first half and won the match. Regardless of the odds, I make analyses.

Most gamblers are greedy so advising them to settle for less to me is just a waste of time because the main reason why most people gamble is to win big not just to catch fun
You are not getting it right. The reason we are on this forum on the gambling board is to educate ourselves. It is good to always tell fellow gamblers not to be greedy.
1094  Other / Meta / Re: Does deleting our own posts harms our acccount ? on: October 08, 2023, 04:01:57 PM
I know that if our posts get deleted by the mods and there are many of them, it means that we are making low value posts, they are being reported and eventually getting deleted. In some cases, we may get tagged by the DT members for being a shit poster.
This can also lead to temporary ban of the account if moderator keeps on seeing posts to delete.

Anyhow I want to know that if we delete our posts ourselves, does it have a bad effect on our account and can we still get tagged or something or it is completely normal ?
I have deleted many of my posts before myself and nothing happened to my account. But do not delete post in a way it will affect other people. There are some times that you may decide to delete your post.
1095  Other / Meta / Re: Switching to Presearch search engine for bitcointalk? on: October 08, 2023, 06:44:46 AM
Wouldn't it make sense? https://www.presearch.io/ can't be worst than the current engine...
Bitcointalk has its own search engine and it has google search engine. What makes you think that presearch.io is better? I have used the forum search engine before and it is good for me. If a topic has been created for like more than a day, google search engine is good for searching that if the topic title is not edited and changed by the OP.

That is a whole different crypto ecosystem which is built on the electrum blockchain and not a regular search engine, making it more complicated.
You mean Ethereum blockchain.
1096  Other / Meta / Re: Should Merit-Sources use feelings when giving out Merit? on: October 07, 2023, 10:48:41 AM
You know humans, if they do not like someone, they will not do anything in favour of the person they dislike. And can theymos know, he can not know. But we have 109 merit source with approximately 33940 smerits given by theymos almost every 30 days. If a merit source do not like you, another merit source will like you unless you are not posting something useful.
1097  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mastering Bitcoin Security: Tips, Tools, and Best Practices on: October 07, 2023, 07:42:21 AM
I know a lot of people here dislike Ethereum, MetaMask does have a feature of potentially showing a warning if the user opens a phishing site, which I don't think uBlock Origin has that feature.
Trustwallet and some other wallet that I can not point to people to use also have that, but I do not think it is working in a way that it is pointing to phishing sites, I think it is pointing to new created sites.

I have seen new created legit site for presales that would be first tagged as 'may not be legit' on these web3 wallets, but legit. As the site grows older, the warning message will not appear again if the site is legit.

But why should wallet become a browser? That browser called web3 is now majorly used by scammers to make novice to connect to their fake website, we can see people complaining everywhere and including some member on this forum about their wallet that they connect to fake website and all their money stolen.

Metamask is not a shield in anyway. If you have your coins there, there would not be warning if a hacker have access to someone's metamask wallet and know the person seed phrase or able to transfer the coins on it. Metamask can be as vulnerable as other online wallets.
1098  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have You Ever Made Such Mistake Before, But Won still? on: October 07, 2023, 07:17:22 AM
I have not seen someone in this forum that made such mistakes but some mistakes turn to be good, maybe you are afraid of using 3.50 to play such bet because you knew that you will win but assuming you know that you are going to win such I believe that your stake would have increased to more your initial budget to the gamble and even the one you called a mistakes, that is why we conclude that gambling, winning it is a luck, you will not hope in gambling.
That is why it is good to check and recheck and check again the amount of money that you want to use to bet before you press on the gambling button to bet. I think there are some people that will make such mistake. But on the gambling sites that I am using, the amount to use to bet are seen clearly, I do not make such mistake because of that.
1099  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie Don't be afraid of buying Bitcoin on: October 06, 2023, 10:17:41 PM
This is a good topic. If not because of business that you have fiat, holding it is stupidity. If you buy asset, your wealth will grow. Bitcoin is an asset, people buying it makes their wealth to grow as bitcoin has shown since it was created till now.

Let me show you why wealthy men like changpeng Zhao(cz), Brian Armstrong, Jed mc Caleb etc can hold billions in Bitcoin without being afraid.
I think we can mention Microstrategy also.

I clicked on the link that you post and I saw the image. I am talking about your first link. Probably the problem is from your side not the forum.

You can look at the image option on your browser settings, it could have been changed to text only. But this would be the case if other images are not also showing for you.
