However, if someone nice gives me a bitcoin, I would: - Sell 0.2 btc to wait when Bitcoin decrease low and buy back. - I will use 0.4 btc to buy some potential altcoins like ETH, LTC, LSK, XRP, STRATIS ... - The remaining is 0.4 btc, I will holder in the wallet can be several years or longer. If Bitcoin goes up very high should i buy a house?
Ive been thinking if it went into very high figures i could cash out 80-90% of bitcoin and buy a house outright with no mortgage. Is that even a good idea though? - basically 80% of networth in a house hmmm. On the other hand i dont want to have a mortgage and im fed up with renting due to landlords, letting agents and lack of control.
Man when Bitcoin reaches these high value I swear you need to convert into fiat. You will be able to buy a house with Bitcoin!The seller will accept Bitcoin!  Yeah i know but maybe not on this next bull run. Lets say we hit $3k- $4k in the next few months which could happen i doubt everyone well accept bitcoins for houses. Some people will sure. I think you made the right decision when investing in Bitcoin. And now that bitcoin has crossed the $ 3000 - $ 4000 threshold you want. I sure you have your own home. If it is I am sure I will sell some of the bitscoin I keep and buy a house without renting or dependency. Moreover it is also a fixed asset without worry it will lose value. You can continue to invest in Bitcoin as it can bring you wealth (of course you should not sell the house you bought because wealth will always be at risk). |

After reading a lot of perma-bullish postings in this speculation forum, I only want to issue a little warning. Not as a professional trader, but a guy that has been here since 2013. Be careful! I think we are near the top of a bubble. Don't invest what you cannot afford to lose.That is valid for Bitcoin and most altcoins at the same time. I think we have overheated - mostly due to the speculation on the Segwit activation - and now we must go down a bit. Probably the rest of the year will be bearish or a sideways market. What doesn't that "warning" mean?- It doesn't mean that Bitcoin will go instantly to zero. My prediction is that it will go to $3000, until late October but then, depending on the news, we can go lower (in a worst case scenario, to about $1000). - It doesn't even mean that $4970 was the top (although I consider it likely). There could be another bullish "leg". But it will most likely be the last one of the year, and I don't think it will reach $10.000. - It does not mean that "Bitcoin is a bubble". Bitcoin is useful and a great project. But it cannot increase permanently in price. Sometimes there is profit taking, or also a little bit of panic. Why do I think that the "bubble" ended?- Bitcoin's price has increased about 30 times in this bullish cycle which started in late 2014 at $135. I think you should keep ETH. It is a good coin and only behind the BTC. I think you should not worry because maybe it will not help you 50 - 100 × as many successful ICO coin present (of course there is risk of ICO failure). But it will definitely increase. Trust and be patient with your choice! |

But before that the price of bitcoin may reach 3500$ and again move towards the Value of 5000$ and follow to 10000$.We may except this highest peak at the Christmas time.Every year during Christmas time some miracle may happen. before fork, peoples predict that bitcoin would get big dump/crash, but instead that we got $5000 ATH. $10K is possible in this year, though i think that is too high, maybe only $6-7K *if bitcoin reaches $10K in this year, i will buy a notebook and altcoin with my btc I so think like you! Hello. I have a folio of BTC, ETH, NEO and some alts. I've been watching at Bitcoin since 2015 but bought only at this summer (and the last move was quite bad, I bought some BTC for $4600). I try to study, watch vids, read forum and twitters. Chris Dunn has a vid on the topic but nothing really specific. I'm interested in some ideas about what to do when prices are falling. Sell alts and hold bitcoin? Short? (and if yes, so the next question is how to learn how to short?).
I think ETH and NEO are good coin. The second half of September will have good news and may well pump. You should trust the coin you have chosen, they can hold long term. No need to worry. Bitcoin you buy at $ 4600 - a pretty high price and now it's reduced to $ 4300 you worry and wonder whether to sell or hold? I think you should keep Bitcoin, it going back up to $ 5000. Nobody knows for sure when is the right time to buy again, but I think you should wait a little longer because it is going down more at least until August 1st, then we will see what happens next.

Yesterday BTC was peaked around $4900+ ~close to $5,000 and it is now back to $4,700
What's your take on it? Minor price correction? Or we will have a slightly down trend towards to Close to $4,000 which is almost a 15% Down
