1081  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is the future of crypto, bitcoin is not. on: November 14, 2017, 07:35:18 PM
I don't know, maybe. Bitcoin and Ethereum are different roles. Ethereum will encourage the develops of other altcoins.
Bitcoin and Ethereum are two very different projects Bitcoin aims to be a currency while Ethereum is a platform for many other projects, it can function as a currency too but it has so many functions and characteristics that using ETH as a currency will be a complete waste thanks to the huge potential it has.
1082  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: "Onion" - THE BABY GIANT! 10000%+ coin for 2018 on: November 14, 2017, 07:31:27 PM
The real fear I have always had with and still have with onion is what will happen when all the airdrops are finished? At that point it is hard to see anything other than a huge dump and I worry if it can continue on from that point.
If you believe in a project a huge dump is in fact good news, it may seem that it does not make sense, but if the project is any good then that is the moment to get it for cheap, you will get a lot more more deeponion than you could get otherwise and benefit in the long term thanks to the dump in the price.
1083  Economy / Economics / Re: Generating Passive Income on: November 14, 2017, 07:29:04 PM
You can also deal with bitcoin mining or other cryptocurrencies, but for mining you will certainly have to spend a lot of money.  And besides bitcoin you also need monitoring stable cryptocurrencies such as etherium, litecoin, ripple, monero or other cryptocurrencies, at the moment, of course, there is nothing better than bitcoin.

Mining is not worth for try at the moment , IMO
I'm usually earn passive income from my speech on local forum since I've been trust as a speaker for bitcoin so yeah.. there is a lot way to earn bitcoin without spending too much expense
Mining is always worth a try but only if you are able to meet three requisites, first you need to have a significant amount of money so you can buy the latest miners, second you need to have access to cheap electricity in your country, and finally you need to join a mining pool.
1084  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: At what price are you going to start buying bitcoin again? on: November 13, 2017, 05:03:32 PM
I had a limit order in at $5520 but I've just taken it off because the price is falling so quickly.   I want to increase my stash of BTC but want to be able to buy as much as possible.

If it goes through $5000 I think it could well go to 4300
Don’t overthink about it, set a price and once you do buy your bitcoin, if you try to buy at the very bottom you may miss the chance to do it, only a lucky few are able to guess and to act on it, to me it seems a good enough price to buy bitcoin is anything below 6000 dollars.
1085  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are bitcoins only for the educated and knowledgeable people only? on: November 13, 2017, 04:58:56 PM
I dnt knw what is the real answer.but to me yeah you have to be educated.atlst you have to know the language english.i mean the country i belong here english is not a regular language.and i cant work here with my traditional language.so you just need the basic language knowledge to work here.
Why would you need to know English to use bitcoin? You will find wallets that supports their native language. You will just need to know numbers and that is it.
I wouldn't say that a person needs to be extremely knowledgeable to use bitcoin, but should know some basic of how things work when using bitcoin, how to transact and keep wallets safe.
You don't need to know the English language to profit with bitcoin, however it’s a big advantage to know this language after all a significant amount of the news on bitcoin are going to appear first in the English language, also there are many opportunities to profit which are only available to those which can speak this language.
1086  Economy / Economics / Re: The best time to invest. on: November 13, 2017, 04:53:21 PM
if you want to invest in bitcoin, don't look at the value just invest, don't be fooled by the market swigs, there are only two things to do with bitcoin now that is buying and holding

keep buying no matter what the price it, and hold the rest, if you want to make more bitcoin from the one that you are hold, invest them in some other things like altcoin that have a great potential or mining

actually i never bought a single bitcoin, i like to generate them via mining, it's more anonymous for me, and more profitable, even if it's slower
This is the problem with a lot of people, they only see the current price of bitcoin and they see the high price and think they cannot invest in bitcoin anymore but the truth is as we have seen in the last months is bitcoin is going to keep growing and those which invest right now are going to enjoy the benefits of their investment in the future, while those which don’t are going to regret it for the rest of their lives.
1087  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin rise to $500k in three years? on: November 13, 2017, 04:47:59 PM
I think it is certainly possible for Bitcoin to reach $500k, though not in three years. If it happens it'll be more like in 10 years.

Three years it should be somewhere between $50k-$100k, probably closer to $100k.
Even a number like 100k seems very high, bitcoin is a great technology but to reach those numbers we'll need more money than the enthusiast of bitcoin can bring, we will need the money of big businesses and even the money of governments and I don’t think bitcoin is ready for such a major investment.
1088  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin had a stable price, would it still be as popular? on: November 13, 2017, 04:45:02 PM
Do you think if BTC had a stable price which could only be altered by $0.01-0.10 it would still be as popular and as used?
I don't think that if Bitcoin had a stable price, it would be this popular as a large number of believers of Bitcoin are day traders and the volatile nature of Bitcoin helps them to earn good amounts of profits.
Stable price may help to boost it's popularity when it's acceptance has increased and almost everyone accepts it as a means of payment.
We are in the early stages of bitcoin, people cannot hope bitcoin to be stable yet, bitcoin is still being upgraded and we are yet to see if the lightning network is going to bring the benefits we were promised, so I think it’s natural the price is unstable besides the devs and the miners are still in dispute as we can see with the recent events.
1089  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin now the strongest currency in the world? on: November 12, 2017, 06:07:04 PM
After the events of last week.

I was making this suggestion to some folks yesterday, but they claimed that bitcoin is too small.  Does it matter?

Nope. Bitcoin is not the strongest currency in the world yet. Gold is still the strongest one. But bitcoin is the fastest growing currency. Therefore it may be like you said. In order to this majority of governments have to accept bitcoin as legal and form their economies according to bitcoin. In the future bitcoin will be the strongest currency. You can believe that.
No, you are mistake, Bitcoin is a currency, but Gold can't call is a currency like Bitcoin or Dollar. You can't use it to pay anything, just exchange it to FIAT through exchanger and gold store while Bitcoin and Dollar can use for reality and online payment.
Gold is a currency it’s just a currency which is not moving much and this is due to the laws passed in most countries of the world, they fear gold, this is why there is paper gold created to keep the price down, and I’m sure they are going to create paper bitcoin and try to do the same with bitcoin.
1090  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Good Altcoin for longterm investment on: November 12, 2017, 06:01:42 PM
Ethereum is my flagship altcoin with a 70% portion of investment portfolio crypto. Altcoin is most popular with the second capitalization sequence after bitcoin. Thus, the opportunity to get higher profits.
ETH is the number two coin but I don’t know for how long it’s going to be the case, bitcoin cash has been growing extremely fast and at some point yesterday it surpassed ETH for some time, while I do not think BCH is going to surpass ETH in a permanent way anytime soon, this should be a warning signal for ETH.
1091  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in ICO, still promising? on: November 12, 2017, 05:56:58 PM
Even though 90% of the startups fail, Investing in ICOs is still promising. Just double check all the time all the important aspects of the ICO. Most important is the concept of the Project and the modus operandy. Crowdholding is the project with a great concept, basically platform of the future of co-creation. check it out here
The problem with icos is as you suggest the 90% failure rate, it is awful and anyone thinking in investing in icos needs to look at the figure and think, I’m willing to invest money in a project which has a failure rate of 90%? That is why I only invest in projects in which I’m totally convinced about their prospects of success.
1092  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin should rise amidst this civil war on: November 12, 2017, 05:53:33 PM
We all know BCH have no future as is highly centralized, and BTC is stagnated due to the scalling discussion.

LTC already have the implementations of BTC and, tech-wise, is always at the front. It already have atomic swap, and can scale more easily as there are less people using it, so the network is not congested.

LTC is also considered as "virtual silver", whereas BTC is "virtual gold". If you study the history of currency, you will see that silver was most used for minting physical coins in the past. Silver was used in daily exchanges and the value of the coins was according to its purity. Gold was kept in reserve and was only for high values. It was more expensive to transport too, as it was prone to theft, requiring more security.

As we can see now, BTC cost much more than LTC, and is more expensive to move due to its high fees, hence it can only be used to buy expensive things.

LTC should rise amidst this dispute between BTC and BCH. BCH dont have any of the new implementations, dont have SegWit, and it have big blocks instead, which might centralize the nodes on servers, thus defeating the purpose of a P2P decentralized currency.

Why not LTC to go forward and become better than bitcoin, as a way of payment, and have its own ATMs around the world? Why not expanding its network to business and startups? Why not become like the silver in the middle ages, a currency that can be used daily, not just a store of value? Let BTC have the sole purpose of a store of value, its gold anyway, virtual gold, something you kept in a safe, something you hodl until you need it, to buy big, expensive stuff.

LTC should go to a hundred dollars so that it can do what bitcoin cannot right now. LTC should take the crown and show what virtual silver is, the currency of the streets.

Tell me what do you think.

I think there is a lot of truth in these words but the issue it is now we have bitcoin cash trying to take that place, we know most of the community does not trust in that project but if major adoption were to happen people will not care about a coin being centralized or not, they will care about the costs of sending transactions and the acceptance of that coin from business and that is something which gives bitcoin cash a chance to overtake bitcoin despite our reluctance for this particular scenario.
1093  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I have 250 ETH, Hold or SELL? on: November 12, 2017, 05:47:17 PM
Ethereum will take a while to ever to up, it was overhyped 6 months ago, and is starting to build a base at the $300 mark.

I would honestly forget about Ether. If it rockets to $600 you have ONLY x2 your money!

Go ALL IN on ETN / Electroneum. Just launched yesterday, mobile mining and game credits. It has more upside than a crazy double (like Ether hahah) Ether is slowly dying.

Buy ETN, its the most successfull real project to date. Just launched yesterday, I mined a few coins already!
The problem is selling now is going to lose him money, it can be tempting to invest in a new project with a lot of future but he needs to first recover his money, it can be hard in this market which moves in completely unexpected ways, so the safest thing he can do is to hold and then after he gets some profits he can decide in which new project to invest.
1094  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do Altcoins really have a future? on: November 12, 2017, 05:40:29 PM
With all the icos and altcoin popping here and there, not all of them survives or lasts long. Some of them just fade or disappear while some survives. Altcoin's future depends on its technology and developers and so as its investors. So long as the project keep on improving and the population of its investors keeps incrrasing then i guess that certain altcoin has a future.
While the community is key to the survival of a coin, the developer needs to be extraordinaire as well, you cannot just create a clone of another coin and think yourself as a great developer, you need to try to do something better than other coins or to find an application to the blockchain that no one has thought.

1096  Economy / Economics / Re: Why people scam on: November 07, 2017, 09:18:37 PM
They think it is easy money.

It is a human instinct to seek methods to get an advantage without doing any work.

Now we have money it has followed through to that.

Look at questions on Quora, I answered one yesterday, ‘How can I get money on the internet doing nothing.

This is not only a human instinct it is just part of nature, but we live in a society and there are certain things that are forbidden and stealing is one of them, so all of those people have no excuse, they are willingly violating the laws and taking advantage of gullible people.
1097  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: "Onion" - THE BABY GIANT! 10000%+ coin for 2018 on: November 07, 2017, 09:14:52 PM
hard to join this signature bounty. they say need user active on the forum. but Sad I have my work so I can't online everyday like other member. so sad

Yes they claim community big, the reason community is big is only for free coins, nothing to do with serious investors.
Lets see if it works for them, deeponion seems like the most active bounty campaign, we do not know if the developers were right about distributing so many coins but we are going to find out eventually if they were correct about their strategy or if it was a major blunder.
1098  Economy / Economics / Re: Are cryptocurrencies better than regular currency on: November 07, 2017, 09:10:59 PM
That is like asking which is the best looking house in a bad neighborhood. I can’t say that I think cryptocurrency is better than fiat currency. Both are just a promise, and like bitcoin, many of our dollars do not physically exist either, they are digital.

I was reading an interesting article this morning by David Smith of the Morgan Report, and he was addressing this subject.

As David Morgan has said when referring to precious metals of late, “it will wear you out or scare you out” because of their sideways actions for the last several years, people are losing interest. But I always say, do what other are not doing, take advantage of the lower prices in precious metals.
Precious metals are a great investment and if you have the money to buy them that is great but bitcoin is better than fiat, bitcoin at least has a limit to the amount of coins there are going to exist while this is not the case with fiat and that makes bitcoin way better in my opinion.
1099  Economy / Economics / Re: Generating Passive Income on: November 07, 2017, 09:06:07 PM
You are right holding bitcoin is the easiest way for generating passive income but i dont think there will be other alt coin that can do that.
At the current rate of other coin is going on the market you may seem to profit but just a few dollars unlike just being focus on bitcoin.
The only problem is that if you have one bitcoin it does not matter if the price goes up or down you still have one bitcoin nothing has changed so if you want to increase the amount of bitcoin you have, you will have no other option but to trade or to lend your bitcoin.
1100  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sub 7k on: November 07, 2017, 09:02:39 PM
Hiccup or bubble burst?
Bitcoin is back at 7000 dollars sometimes people surprise me they jump the gun very fast, bitcoin cannot lose a single dollar because when that happens people immediately begin to panic thinking bitcoin is going to crash, it is just a small correction nothing more.
