10821  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't join spam bounties. Easy money does not help you to (quickly) get rich! on: March 23, 2019, 04:01:21 PM
Most of those Altcoin bounties won't even get you $10, simple because the tokens are worthless, low trading volume, no realiable exchanges, and so on.

The risk of getting tagged, wasting your time, and risking documents in kyc (for bounties and exchanges) is simple not worth.
10822  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash ABC can do 100+ tx/s? on: March 23, 2019, 03:05:05 PM
Everytime someone talks about transactions per second in a centralized cryptocurrency, ask yourself:"why don't I use visa?"

Visa can do a lot more than that
Bitcoin is not meant to be only fast, but decentralized , cheap and borderless.
10823  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DAI, USDT, PAX... Where are All the Stablecoin Casinos? on: March 23, 2019, 11:52:14 AM
Great idea.
I believe you should really move it to glambing doscussion board.

Stable coins are really interesting to gamble. They are like a USD, where you need no kyc, no taxes, etc. Great for privacy and low bureaucracy
10824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is $25 XLM worth your privacy (identify). on: March 23, 2019, 11:46:53 AM
If depends on your personal financial situation and where you live.

There are places in the world, such as Venezuela, where you can live one motnh with 25 USD.

If you live in a rich country, I doubt you should take kyc
10825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Netflix series OA - “What’s ether? Is that some kind of, like, digital currency? on: March 23, 2019, 11:43:16 AM
So if we are talking about serials then I also remember BTC was featured in Mr. Robot when there was a kind of crisis and all shops were accepting cryptocurrencies.
Unfortunately in all movies cryptocurrencies are shown either as a money for criminals or just a geek currency. In both cases there  is no good usage for normal people.

It was also mentioned in another Netflix series, casa del papel.
It was also used by criminal activities.

Just remembered another on, on the series billions. It was used to avoid taxes.

However, even though it's used as a money for criminals it's good to see it on TV shows. Cryptocurrencies need more visibility. Soon we will see people using Bitcoin legally in movies.

10827  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin needs Segregated Witness on: March 22, 2019, 03:50:01 PM
Segwit somehow solves blocksize problems, by reducing transaction size. So more transactions can go in a block with the same size.

Additionally it also adds new features which will allow lightning network.

OP is not asking a question here that you are answering it! OP is just sharing a link here.
and you are wrong, SegWit does not reduce transaction size, it instead increases capacity by moving the signatures (witnesses) elsewhere inside transactions that way the legacy nodes still see the 1 MB cap while we have more transactions in new versions with witness.

Ok thank k you for your correction about segwit. You are right, it does not reduce transaction size, just made a small research about it now.
10828  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Realiable exchgange with low documents requirements? on: March 22, 2019, 03:44:55 PM
I don't think you can buy cryptocurrency using Fiat without kyc.

The most reliable out there for your case are kraken cex.io and bitstamp, in my opinion.

You will just need a driver's license and a document about your residence. Your account will be verified fast nowadays..

10830  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Proposal Ethereum as the layer 2 to Bitcoin on: March 21, 2019, 11:30:04 AM
I think there is no need.

It's possible to implement smartcontracts and some others ethereum capabilities to bitcoin
Not all of ethereum capabilities, but the most important ones.
10831  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: My 12 word seed phrase is not working on my ledger, it is getting `invalid` on: March 20, 2019, 03:32:27 PM
Also yes, this seed wasn't generated by a nano ledger, I am just trying to recover it on this.

Was it generated on Electrum?

Electrum uses a different encoding and does not use bip39.

Try to recover it on Electrum, you may be successful.
10832  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Looking for a open source and secure wallet on: March 20, 2019, 11:59:21 AM
Ledger is really not fully open source.

However it's an old wallet, and one of th safestest options out there.

Coinomi is not open source also.
10833  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: My 12 word seed phrase is not working on my ledger, it is getting `invalid` on: March 20, 2019, 11:20:26 AM

I suspect at least one of your words does not appear on the bip 39 list. A first step is to make sure each of the words you are using is on the list. Here is a link to the english list.

https://github.com/bitcoin/bips/blob/master/bip-0039/english.txt

Other languages can be found here.

https://github.com/bitcoin/bips/blob/master/bip-0039/bip-0039-wordlists.md

Not all 12 words combinations are valid. In fact, I believe most of them are not.

You can test by yourself at iancoleman.io/bip39

If you write "word" 12x it is a  valid combination, but most of words are not.

So probably the op misplaced some words. Ledger nano won't even accept an invalid word.

I would try to change the order of your 12 words. Maybe you wrote something like:
Word dog house
Raccoon car dog
...

But the correct order is word raccoon dog car house dog (from top to bottom, or something like that)
10834  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin lost? on: March 19, 2019, 09:37:07 PM
As long as you have your seed (12 words) you are safe, just Loycev said.

Just download a new software in electrum.org
And recover your wallet using the seed you have.
10835  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: can I start a signature rental service on: March 18, 2019, 09:43:26 PM
As others said, you need to rank up first

For that, you need to earn some merits.
To earn merits you need to make high quality posts. If someone likes them, they can give you merits.

When you receive merits you will rank up to jr member and will some a simple signature
10836  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Is it possible not to find a payment received on a unique address? on: March 18, 2019, 08:42:56 PM
As the address was previously generated, the seller must have the privatekey.

Keep in touch with him and contact his support. Unless you sent it to the wrong address, the seller has control over the funds.
10837  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Will you recommend me to use bitstamp in 2019? on: March 18, 2019, 08:39:55 PM
Bitstamp is the oldest exchange still online, as far as I know

I used it a lot. It's my favorite exchange.

If you are in the USA coinbase is better probably
10838  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: [Help!] How to receive bitcoins (I am a beginner!) on: March 18, 2019, 11:48:58 AM
Maybe the guy is honest and truly wants to donate some BTC to you.

In this case, just download Electrum from electrum.org

Create a new wallet and click receive . You will see a receiving address. Just give this address to him and ask him to donate in this address. If this is not a scam, he will transfer the coins to your new address.

Quem criou a lightning network e em qual ano ela foi proposta?

Joseph Poon e Thaddeus Dryja fizeram o white paper em 2016.
https://lightning.network/lightning-network-paper.pdf

Joseph poon também foi o criador do Plasma, o equivalente da lightning Network na plataforma ethereum.
