10841  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: This seems counter productive on: December 10, 2013, 04:03:51 PM
You only have to post once here and wait 4 hours (must not be 4 online hours within the forum afaik), so it does indeed not encourage spamming. Also the guide recommends that you post your question here, chances are that you get an answer anyway.

Looks like these coins are very new, probably your questions are best asked here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=361813.0
10843  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is most ASIC mining a scam? on: December 10, 2013, 02:42:00 PM
-snip-
 - Why do these companies that make ASIC miners just use the technology for themselves to mine bitcoins if it pays for itself so quickly(at the current cost of bitcoins)?

What makes you think they dont? Also selling the Miners is safe money, while Mining is unrealiable. There is this saying "not the average gold miner became rich durring the gold
rush but those that sold the shovels"

- What is the best ASIC miner for someone getting started.(would like 5 or so between different price ranges.)
 - Is Xtreme Miners a legitimate business selling ASIC miners?

No Idea

- Risks of ASIC mining?
Thank you in advance if anyone responds to this thread. Smiley

The main risk is the rising diffculty. What looks profitable now may cost you more in electricty in 2 months than you get back in BTC.
10844  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Block rewards. on: December 10, 2013, 02:31:50 PM
When a block is mined, does it give the reward to the addresses which found the answer, or does it distribute the reward to all computers in the network? Should I expect to see a large sum of coins every once in awhile from mining, or should I see a gradual increase in coins. I've been mining for awhile and I haven't seen anything yet.

If you solo mine you get all the coins, if you dont (and you shouldnt) it depends on the pool.
10845  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hy everybody! on: December 10, 2013, 02:30:05 PM
Everyone working for the pool just gets different nonce or a different set of nonces. If anyone finds a block everyone in the pool gets paid.

How mnay posts do you need?

Can't post more than once 360 seconds, wait 360 seconds and tells you cant post because you have already posted (which you haven't)

Pretty heavy handed implementation

Just a single post here, wait 4 hours and you can post everywhere. The limitations make the forum work, otherwise DDoS would easily kill it.

@shorena: what you mean with "tf2" money? Care to explain, if it is not a secret... Wink

No secret, its a steam game called team fortress 2 (free 2 play btw) and I made some keys (the games currency item #1) the last month. I plan to sell them for a while now, but I dont trust paypal.

I <3 TF2, but I did stop playing. I am hoping to get back to playing it though.

Easy to get back to, plenty of new MvM stuff too Smiley
10848  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 3 coming soon on: December 09, 2013, 05:46:23 PM
Hello everyone!
I'm not really a newbie but i can't say more.
I've been following the evolution of Bitcoin for a very long time and must say it became something of huge value, something i wouldn't expect. I must thank everyone for contributing and in particular Gavin for taking this project on his hands.
I've seen Bitcoin splitting like mere colours, as this is what you would expect from an open source and "libertarian" project, so i say go beyond, split thyselves like it should be but please don't just ccr as this brings nothing but noise (and by noise we mean bad noise too) in the community!
Just letting you know that Bitcoin 3 is coming in the chain and nearer to you than you can think, matured by the fails and success of the many altcoins, but also Bitcoin itself.
Now a simple question, what would you see in Bitcoin 3

Id like to see the sourcecode or I call b*****it

Found a brand new faucet launched today for Litecoin, good way to start earning free coinage: http://ltc4you.com/?r=1978

Did not work for me in Chrome though, loaded up IE and it worked flawlessly. Can get free coins once every hour.

Not working with chrome but with IE, sounds legit.
10850  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: btc-e transaction taking long time on: December 09, 2013, 04:56:48 PM
Hey i think i got the same problem i had money on my btc-e account and buyed namecoins for cheap but now i am waiting for more than a whole day for them. i orderd 250 NMC but they are still in order fase but stil 0%. now the price is higher then when i bought them. i want them a soon as possible for trading but i cant because of this i am really angry cuz i am losing money now. and if i cancel the the order i already lose 400$ profit. i already contacted support but no response. what shall i do?

I think both of you dont understand what a bid is. Its not like you can just think of a price and someone will accept it.
If you ordered 250 NMC for 0.01 BTC you will probably not find someone willing to sell that low anymore.
10851  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My total logged in time is incorrect on: December 09, 2013, 04:00:29 PM
You can post in other forums after waiting for 4 hours, you dont have to have 4 hours online time here.
10852  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just another noob wishing he jumped in the pool earlier on: December 09, 2013, 03:39:00 PM
@shorena: ah OK, I thought so...you or maybe someone else knows some site where you could sell items from tf2 for bitcoins?

Id post here in virtual goods section just because everyone here knows about BTC and also in tf2outpost.com which is the biggest tf2 trading site. Free to use, unless you want to go premium (not needed). They also explicitly allow trading for BTC.
Other places would be tf2 trading subreddit (/r/tf2trade ), sourceop forums ( http://forums.sourceop.com/ ), tf2bazaar (not sure wether they allow BTC or not) and backpack.tf (only works with tf2 currency and is mainly for pricechecks anyway).

If you need any help feel free to PM me or send me an invite on steam:

10857  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just another noob wishing he jumped in the pool earlier on: December 09, 2013, 10:39:20 AM
yeah, read about BTC when 1 was worth ~ 13 USD. But I didnt buy any or started mining, then when they hit 100 I though well I should have bought @ 13, now I think I should have bought @ 100 ... well lets wait another year Wink

Grin Did you decide to buy any yet?

Would if I could, but I have decided to transfer my tf2 "money" to BTC after xmas.

Schön sind auch die Bewertungen:

packet received very well thanks for the deal - es geht ums mieten, welches Paket will er bekommen haben?
Great seller fast shipping A++ - geht wieder um miete

Großes Tennis, wenn man selbst die eigenen Fakebewertungen nicht richtig machen kann.

10860  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin will collapse in price. on: December 08, 2013, 05:41:34 PM
a) Governments have already effectively made it impossible for people to use bitcoin as a medium of exchange, as they expect taxes to be paid on bitcoin gains.

I dont know where you are from, but where Im from you pay taxes if you gain money commercially no matter if its BTC, USD, AUD or EUR. If I buy something private I dont pay taxes, wether I pay with BTC, USD, a local currency or chicken. So this point is invalid.
