10842  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Channel 4 News (UK) Gives Very Positive Report on Bitcoin on: September 12, 2014, 12:41:15 PM
This type of news is not really good. The market price of bitcoin does't react at all. The massive recognition and adoption is still long way to go.
Why do people just concentrate on just the price?

Because right now people buying Bitcoin mostly because of profit and expectation that price of Bitcoin will rise.
This will change when ''big'' merchants accept bitcoin and when Bitcoin become mainstream like Paypal.
10843  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Paypal's decision to accept Bitcoin through Braintree is bad news for BTC on: September 12, 2014, 12:33:07 PM
Paypal has recently announced that its subsidiary Braintree will now be partnering with the Bitcoin exchange Coinbase to allow payments to be processed through Bitcoin. With such a partnership in place, companies that utilize Braintree to make their payments would be able to trade using Bitcoin, causing an increased demand for the cryptocurrency. Braintree currently handles transactions by companies like Dropbox, Ebay, Uber, and AbirBnB. At the Techcrunch Disrupt conference in San Francisco, Bill Ready, Braintree’s CEO, stated that “This is PayPal making a move to embrace Bitcoin”

Even if this were true (which I dont know how likely that is), how would it affect you if you didn't make any tranactions in BTC using paypal. Its pretty much common knowledge that when you make a purchase through paypal, it is almost like public record. It has to be viewable to them in case you make some sort of claim or chargeback. I am wondering how thei would go about buyer chargebacks for those who pay in BTC using paypal.

Yes, this is very good question.
In the past i had some issues with sellers (didn't receive what UI paid for9 but thanks to Paypal i got full refund of my money.
it's really good question how this claim and dispute process will work with Bitcoin funds.
10844  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No one really NEED bitcoin on: September 12, 2014, 12:29:13 PM
Right now, when Bitcoin is not globally accepted and didn't become mainstream, it may look that way, but this will change when ''big'' merchants accept Bitcoin.
When Bitcoin become available and popular like Paypal people will start to use Bitcoin for regular payments and things will change...
don't worry, it will happen Smiley
10845  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There are not even 100 people using Bitcoin in my Country. on: September 12, 2014, 12:25:31 PM
So what's wrong?

I'm always surprised to see people surprised when they discover there are places in the world which are different from the place they live.

None of my friends is on facebook. That's normal to me. I haven't used any of my credit cards for more than a month. That's normal for the place where I am. I hope there will be big differences between countries forever.

Very well said.
In fact, Bitcoin should become mainstream and success first in USA, Japan and EU.
If this happen, Bitcoin will be naturally accepted in other parts of the world over time.

10852  Other / Off-topic / Re: IF YOU HAD 1,000,000 DOLLARS WHAT WOULD YOU BUY??? on: September 10, 2014, 02:24:41 PM
This is huge money, really.
Realistically, You can live just in one house, drive only one car or wear only one suite at the same time.
So, in my opinion, there is no meaning to spend this money only for material things.
I will use how much I really need for my personal expenses and put in the bank, and rest of money I will use to help people in need.
Hungry people in Africa, war refugees etc.

10856  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to make a lot money online? on: September 08, 2014, 04:44:13 PM
In my opinion, the best way to make good earnings online is to be unique, different from others.
So, either to be expert in programming, design etc. and offer your services online or to sell unique, hand made product etc.

10860  Other / Off-topic / Re: General Football Discussion - Turkish League Poll Added on: September 08, 2014, 02:26:16 PM
I've always been a Celtic fan but am looking forward to the Old Firm derbies again in the future.

I've got a free bet to put on the football this weekend and was going to put it on the Barca vs Athetico and Madrid derby. Any suggestions? Hard to say who will win but I'm thinking the games will be close. Thoughts?

Atletico Madrid's weapon is their physical strength, and they can play very dirty. Regarding Barcelona, look at the barca vs atletico derby.

The last 6 matches were five times a draw, and one time a win for Atletico. And each time Barca only managed to score once.

As long as the strong-boys from Atletico side manage to keep Messi away from the ball, I don't see how Barca will win.

I agree with you.
Barcelona need new strategy because their play is outdated and book read.
