10841  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: STRAT IS A SLEEPING GIANT ! on: November 19, 2017, 12:21:02 PM
Guys there are only a few topics devoted to STRAT. This project is only 1 year old but as far as I see it has huge potential with its upcoming smart contracts e.t.c.
What do you think of its potential long term? I think 2018 year will be strat year Cool

Quite a number of my coins in my alt portfolio are what I consider sleeping giants. All of them, including Stratis, have been "hurt" by the Bitcoin crazy climbs of 2017, but if we take a look at their dollar value, most have been holding really well in the face of the crypto boom/bust.

In fact, even 2018 sounds too early for these giants to wake up, although we can safely expect most of them to grow steadily, perhaps only doubling in dollar value by 2019, when their techs and products would have been given enough time to mature for adoption. Remember, one year isn't exactly long term!
10842  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO guaranteeing Returns on: November 19, 2017, 11:50:09 AM
So, the background of the project developer is in marketing coaching or retail? Looks like an India-based project, which is rare. I can see why this would be a good foundation for a business (as opposed to just pure crypto developers in the dev team).

But then, this would only be okay if Obizcoin were just a pure project with only tokenized model and nothing else. But if this is actually a smart robot process as is expressed, then you actually need good devs and good coders, no?
10843  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum haven't really moved.. on: November 18, 2017, 04:40:32 PM
Reason is so clear. People do not buy ethereum  Grin
Before we had to buy ethereum to invest in icos. But nowadays even an ico has an ethereum based token to sell, they accept many other payment methods, so we dont need to buy ethereum to join icos.

I too thought that Ethereum wasn't a buyer's coin, at least not since it moved away from $20 and kept going up. I think only miners are accumulating ETH now, and of course all those ICOs that accepted ETH mainly. Occasionally, I come across individual events that have made me rethink this. The first is the very few but prominent campaigns that are paying in ETH instead of Bitcoin. Yes, I know people say these are probably miners anyway or former ICOs just quietly launching new projects behind the scenes.

But I believe there are a growing number of companies now, especially those who plan on doing ICOs, that are buying up ETH with fiat, instead of Bitcoin. They feel it is more stable and can afford to pay people more "safely" on fiat basis, instead of being vulnerable to Bitcoin volatility.
10844  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I keep holding my NEO? on: November 18, 2017, 04:13:31 PM
I dont understand why you are still holding neo's. it is a quiet coin and has been used only to make some profit from the quick pump and dump that it had on the past.
The only good thing from NEO is that you are able to receive some GAS from it only for free, but you need more than ten thousand dollars worth of neo to make $20 a day at least.
It is a good coin, but i dont see any good news in that at all, maybe we should wait a little bit longer in order to receive some REAL good news about this coin.

You haven't followed the developments regarding regulations in China? If China is going to allow a regulated crypto market, then NEO has an advantage because the Chinese government considers NEO to be more compliant than other cryptocurrencies. There is still hope until they develop one of their own.

What did I tell you? NEO's price has increased by more than 50% since then.

NEO quiet? Neo has been anything but quiet, or have you forgotten the intense hype surround Red Pulse ICO? It had all the big news outlets pushing it, the big names in industry of crypto, and simply didn't let up on how Neo would be big, would be used by banks, etc.

And yes, they were very smart to implement the Gas system. This encouraged a lot of people to simply hold and earn gas. $20 a day from $10,000 is still 0.2% a day, and that's a LOT of interest in a sense.

Anyway, I doubt China will take on Neo more differently than others, I could be wrong of course but Chinese government isn't as corrupt and easily swayed as most people believe.
10845  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★DigiByte|极特币★★[DGB]✔ DigiSync v6.14.2 - DigiSpeed - Segwit -DiguSign on: November 18, 2017, 10:23:54 AM
anybody know why this DGB always still go down ?
few month ago Iam bought DGB on price 1200 Satoshi but on this day price DGB just 124 Satoshi.
what can I do for my DGB ? Cut Loss or still holding on ?

wow, are you sitting in a -90% drawdown? I do not want to say anything, but I'm just wondering what you thought when you watched every day how your DGB is rapidly falling in price, and in parallel BTC issues X-files. Now then of course hold on to the victorious end, what is the point of giving away for nothing)

Wow, and I thought I was the one suffering heavy losses, including with Digibyte! What I was thinking when I bought at 160 satoshi: Amazing deals, it will surely go back to 300 for easy doubling. What I thought when it came down even more: Damn, what was I thinking?

But okay, funny side is over: those like us who bought into the project and its tech, we all had belief, didn't we? I still have that belief. Would never have sold even if I made 5x, since this is a long term hold like most of my alts.

But at -90% you really have no option, you might as well just hold. Risk losing the last bit of 10% for possibility to gain so much more. Hold strong, Asyifiah Wink
10846  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gold (BTG) on: November 18, 2017, 10:03:55 AM
BTG scammed me into trusting MyBTGwallet to reclaim my BTG and they have now stolen my coins! Beware people

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DO3y97LWkAIOm4I?format=jpg&name=large

Really sloppy on BTG side, but they aren't the ones scamming. The team is well intentioned IMO, just understaffed, bad communicators, and under-resourced. There has been a litany of attacks to try to kill the BTG project. I think best to stay away until the dust settles. There will be opportunity to claim into legit wallets (heard Trezor is working on support) soon.

I agree. I think Bitcoin Cash taught us to be patient, but Bitcoin Gold proved that a fork isn't as simple as some people would be led to believe. Now I don't think they are outright scammers, but they definitely aren't saints. They had a plan to make money (I mean, the premine is as clear as it gets) and they've done it. I do think maybe one or two had the ideology, but the rest are no different from the typical money grabbing mindset we've come to see with miners.

Stay away from now, yes. Let the drama settle, let angry people simmer. It's probably got a long shelf life, BTG.
10847  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE - 🎲🎲🎲 TRANSFORMATION HAS BEGUN! CSNO TOKENS ADDED! 🎰🎰🎰 on: November 18, 2017, 08:35:19 AM
Who said BitDice doesn't listen, yeah? When everyone else is keeping or raising their withdrawal minimums, you get an even lower one at BD. Great update Alex, and looking forward to CSNO tokens moving up.

I think I saw someone else mention possible sportsbook soon, if that happens I might decide to learn about it. I have been reading a few of the discussions in gambling thread and don't know what the hell is going on, but it looks like there are plenty of tipsters with good records in there. Cheers to BitDice!
10848  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BCH at 2000$. What you guys think? on: November 17, 2017, 04:53:43 PM
with the new difficulty change, i suspect that we will see another mining swing. and this will in turn effect the price in many ways
that said, for BCH to reach $2000, BTC must correct itself, but BTC is still growing, it was down over the last weekend but look at it now.
BCH is holding abve $1000 https://www.coingecko.com/en/price_charts/bitcoin-cash/usd which is a good thing, and great for all that still held bch
hold the bch, sure there is a chance to exit higher

Exactly. And with the mining pools finding blocks quicker than ever, they may have to consider another fork for the fork. Bitcoin corrected, and of course reached a new ATH but will benefit long term from this show of strength. Remember that some BCH is still lying around in exchanges that never credited them to user, so in way, the limited supply is manipulated as such.

I see BCH declining below $900 once the miners switch back yet again to Bitcoin. Hard to ignore the profits there at above $7k for too long.
10849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Biggest investment oppertunity of this year / 2018 - SALT Lending on: November 17, 2017, 01:40:49 PM
SALT is indeed something special, they have done a shadowy ICO though which I really don't like. Even though the overall idea is great and we might see the price rocketing to 50 or 100, I think 100 is the minimum it will reach once the platform is operations, I evaluate that based on: You need one token to get a loan. Min loan is at about 10,000 and interest is about 10%, so how much would people be willing to pay to get a loan (how much above 10%?) I would say 11% for sure, which is 10,100 - 10,000 = 100$ / SALT, but it can easily go to 12 or 13% which would translate to 200-300$ respectively. The outlook is quite bright and even though they messed up their ICO and greedy distributions, I wish them all the best.

It had Erik Voorhees on the team among others, so I guess their definition of shady is a lot different than what most of us normal people here have. I think salt is a great idea too, but I don't know. This idea of P2P lending to me is like cloud mining. Great concept, wonderful theory. On paper, it seems almost guaranteed, with all kinds of ratings and measurements.

But then all of them eventually fail, and I worry salt will face problems down the road. It already showed that it got greedy. When things fall apart they'll just check out.
10850  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves future price on: November 17, 2017, 12:31:50 PM
the waves have an organic price increase with corrections as their idea and platform spread. about what competition with eth, if already now the waves have a high throughput of transactions per second. I'm not talking about a low commission compared to eth. then that Buterin was able to unleash his fork - it is his credit, but not a project in the whole. And there were no qualitative alternatives at that time. Unconditionally, eth will remain something like silver. but if you want to really earn by investing a small amount, then you need to look for projects like waves

Spot on about the recent hard fork for Ethereum. It was all credit to Buterin, not the the Ethereum community and developers. In fact, even the developers that he himself hand picked to join the alliance, some have opposed that hard fork and still are working on their own version (so yes, there is at least one qualitative alternative to the current forked version, just that Buterin didn't accept it).

Waves on the other hand is the one to slowly develop without a care to its price, which is why it has just been hovering at the same spot for months. That's actually a sure sign of stability if you ask me.
10851  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Speculation to which coin: BCH or BTC? on: November 17, 2017, 10:40:38 AM
Is there really a civil war here?
We know the tech specs of BCH and BTC (I dont want to discuss it here), it may trigger another war here.

I m just really not sure to which side.
I keep my BTC and I started to buy BCH,... I am eager to know other to do with your coin,
which one is better (for trading/speculation) now?

How about, you don't choose any sides? Stick to the coin that best suits your uses and needs. You don't have to come out and support one and hate the other. Like me, the sites I use all accept BTC. The trading I do are only with BTC pairs. If I need fiat, my sites all only accept BTC as conversion.

Until the day they tell me that they don't like BTC and will switch to Bcash, I will continue using BTC. If BTC one day stops being preferred by my sites, no hard feelings.

Until then, BTC 100%.
10852  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin scams on: November 17, 2017, 08:05:24 AM
Dude, if you have to shill, at least make an effort. First you create a thread called Altcoin scams to clickbait people. Then you pick out some utter random coin, but wait, it's a scam according to your incredible research that tells you this surprising information. But wait! You are actually thinking to buy it! So... let's be clear:

1)scamcoin 2)pumpNdump coin 3)you're wondering whether to buy

You know what? Better buy it. Let us know what happens.

10853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mining on Cpu? on: November 16, 2017, 05:36:04 PM
Sorry, but you're too late to mine $5 a day with CPU. However, if you're willing to gamble on mining new coins with easy difficulty, in the hopes that 1 cent today will become $5 in a year or two, you're welcome to check out the Alt ANN sections and look for pool instructions on how to mine their coins. You needn't look far, just up til October will do. If you want a better source focused only on Alts, also join Bitcoin Garden. Similar to here, but almost all the new coin devs announce it there. My personal advice, stay away or you'll burn your computer out and get bags of worthless crypto.
10854  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: RIPPLE Spiking on: November 16, 2017, 04:47:37 PM
more and more banks will cooperate with Ripple, still have a big possibility.
Not much because its supply is really high compared to other coins and partnership doesn't bring buy volume it will create hype on the market which will make price to pump and dump hard from peak like before.

XRP is pumping just because of this partnership with american express https://ripple.com/insights/american-express-joins-ripplenet-giving-visibility-and-speed-to-global-commercial-payments/

Curious about how long pumps like these can sustain, especially with the incredible amount of Ripple in supply. More or less in agreement that there's little value nowadays in terms of partnership news, unless it's the kind of super partnership where American Express just comes out and splashes a few million dollars on Ripple on billboards and ads. If it just adds the icon to its marketing campaigns, then we've got a serious deal here.

Every day I see new partnerships being signed. This alliance and that group of companies. Let's talk about product and achievements for once yeah guys?
10855  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still support Ethereum? on: November 16, 2017, 04:15:31 PM
do you still support ethereum?
i think my answer is.
yes i do . the eth is one of my favorite coin at this time . i look at the price in the market. and i decided that this coin has a good prospect in the future .because in few weeks the price of eth has increased significantly.  just a little opinion thank you.  Smiley

Well its your choice but i never supported Ethereum. It is a choice for those who want centralized digital currency rather than decentralized currecny like bitcoins. The only thing which i like about it is the smart tokens which can be produced as anew currecny and particiaoting in the smart contract ICO is the most hot business in the crpto world these days.

I have to say I was 100% in this camp for the longest time, and I may never get over how the DAO resulted in today's ETH, nor will I ever be fully able to throw my support behind something that is so corporate minded. But lately, I've come to accept that it never pretended to be something less corporate. It was designed for enterprises, and enterprises would never hop on something that was completely decentralized. So I guess I have to admit that in that world, it has its use.

I'll never buy lots of ETH but I find it more useful now for certain... corporate purposes. I suppose crypto was destined to be outside of anyone's private domain!
10856  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you picky with ICOs? on: November 16, 2017, 12:37:59 PM
After my short experience of investing a lot of time and even lending my own support through unpaid promotions in two ICOs... yes, I'm extremely picky with them. In fact, with both ICOs, they turned out to be quite good in terms of project development but I suffered heavy losses, to the point that they have become just very small investments almost losing 80% of the value I invested.

So from now on, it will take me a lot of courage to invest. What hurt me most I guess is how harsh the devs seemed to treat their investors after raking in so much.
10857  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Let's Stop Promoting Bad Coins on: November 16, 2017, 09:55:51 AM
Let me ask you this... if you promote an unlisted "cryptocurrency" that says it's going to get listed but after some months they are not...then there is something wrong with it and its leadership.

I know of one coin that is promising to get listed but until now it is not. For the information of all concerned, getting listed is not actually a mission impossible, it isn't hard to do that.  Clubcoin was registered in a few short weeks. FirstCoin was also registered fast. And yet some are still promoting coins that months have went by and it's still not listed! There was one owner who shared information with me and promises to deliver proof of trading in 3 weeks. After 3 weeks, their coin is still unlisted.

This is quite odd. Once we don't get proof,  we should walk away while most other guru's kept on promoting and getting paid for months and months while they haven't even attempted to get their coin listed. Are they kidding me? Promoters can be greedy but I guess we have to have some iota of ethics here. You can just be ruining your reputation in the process because of the promises not kept! Who does want to be following a leadership who can't do what they talk about? Unfortunately, there are those who refused to acknowledged that they might be promoting scams in the first place.

What is worse is that some have the temerity to be talking  bad about one program when they are actually promoting bad ones themselves. Maybe they should be warning their prospective clients that the coin is not yet listed and that it has no plans of being listed...when dealing with other people's money there has to be some honesty and frankness and no more hypes...we are all tired of hypes stop bringing that to cryptocurrency. It is imperative that we do our research and only promote companies that are real and in it for the long haul! We owe that to ourselves and the people who might believe on us!

I have to say you have a harsh view of things, but I feel you are right, partially.

If a coin says it will get listed but doesn't, this isn't necessarily a sign of bad leadership. Some coins find out after negotiating, there's a sudden big price tag on listing. Is it worth it or not? And since they're not in full control of listing (up to exhcnages in the end and how quickly they respond) we can't always fault the coin.

But we can teach them to be more realistic with expectations, not to blow hype and hot air before anything is solid. We can look and support projects that keep their promises simple, and fulfil their words.

10858  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone hear about lite classic coin (LCC)??? on: November 15, 2017, 04:13:15 PM
If you find a new coin, it's down to you to find information about it, if interested. If you can't be bothered to do it yourself, then what's the point, right? You're lucky the first few responses were honest ones. Then again what if they weren't and I'm not? You can't rely on information from here on a coin you know nothing about. It's second, third, even 50th hand information.

And yes, to echo others. Not a cryptocurrency by any means. Pure MLM. Enter if you like pyramid schemes.
10859  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bittrex and BitcoinGold. on: November 15, 2017, 10:43:56 AM
Don't hold your breath. Even all the exchanges listed on Bitcoin Gold's website as supported exchanges hadn't enabled any deposit addresses as of yesterday. I checked! Maybe today a few will start, but most of them operated on "futures trading" of BTG. Even with the so-called launch done and dusted, still a lot of issues with multiple chains already taking place.

I'd wait a week more at least before exchanges decide the network is secure enough to enable wallet deposits.

Just want to add in my weight here, to everyone asking about withdrawal fees, or rather, complaining about 50k sat fee. You should be thankful that this fee isn't adjusted taking into the Bitcoin congestion since last week. If you think it's too much, these are your alternatives:

1. Move to other sites with different fees. Some let you adjust, but let me tell you 50k will get your withdrawal confirmed in > 5 days at current network. Some don't charge fees, but have a wagering requirement on your deposit (3x even is normal, so you willing to wager 3x before you can withdraw?)
2. Try and keep your withdrawals together. Instead of cashing out every min amount, why not cash out larger amounts? It also saves your wallet from having so many inputs (and making your next spend very expensive).
