10861  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] GET-Protocol | GUTS.tickets | Live Product | Buyback Guarantee on: November 07, 2017, 09:19:15 AM
I wish it will make hardcap faster. We won't wait for 14 days, people will buy this token very fast.
This is one of the most important projects coming out this year. Investors are ready to put some money.
But why pre-sales tier not sold out in the first day? I feel that Guts ads other than signatures are never seen.

Why the rush? There should be a gap between pre-ICO and main crowdsale. The idea of a presale is to 1) evaluate interest through sales 2) make people aware of the project and main ICO 3) reward early supporters and 4) give the project time to use funds from presale to market and fund bounty campaigns for the project.

If it didn't do so well already in the presale, this in fact makes a stronger case to extend the timeframe for the mainsale, or you end up with too little funding and many supporters with too high expectations.
10862  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Syscoin big news on: November 07, 2017, 08:02:36 AM
I think the whole Idea of masternodes has been abuse, it is now being exploited and as you can see this is  Mattew effect at play. I was told that to hold one Stratis masternode also in need huge amount of money to own one

I don't know much about Stratis project, but to have Syscoin masternode you need 100k coins - with the price from today ($0.20/coin) it is $20k.
It is not that much if we compare it to DASH or PIVX.

The original idea of Masternodes was actually pretty good, if we only take into consideration the benefits of security. But then look at what happened to Dash, even the masternode of a secure and private coin was eventually compromised. This proves that technology can always be better and that there is never a solution that is once and for all. But after that initial premise of security, almost every other alt was able to implement masternodes when they wanted to and it was used or is still used as a temporary pump tactic.

It's simply too expensive now for anyone average to get into MN.
10863  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO is new way to get Free money? on: November 06, 2017, 09:17:48 AM
Well yes, 90% ICO are fake only. The sole purpose is to earn and run away. And the best thing is you don't even have to give any fiat or real coin to your investors. Just take their money, toss them some random erc token and disappear. But that being said, there are many projects which use ICO to gather funds and develop real projects like golem, lunyr, decentraland, steemit etc. So all ICOs are not bad, but most are!!

Ask any ICO project owners now and they won't be able to deny that the main driving force behind the ICO launch was to raise funds in the easiest way possible. All research and statistics already show that ICO is by far the quickest, most effective way to get money without the hassle of regulatory documentation (a whitepaper is all that is needed these days).

So of course it has become a playground for scammers. Marketing people and ponzi operators also take advantage of people's greed, offering crazy bounties and now even referral bonuses. All in the name of getting in as much investment as possible.

So yeah, I have to agree. A couple of gems maybe but only in a mountain of free-money scams.
10864  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves hold for longterm Good or Not? on: November 06, 2017, 07:56:37 AM
IMHO, Waves is a good choice specially for long term but you should avoid putting all your eggs on this basket! Wink

I agree with you.

At the moment WAVES dropped to $2.8 few days ago, I converted 8% of my portfolio to WAVES and managed to buy it at $2.84-$2.91. Now I sold 1/2 for 20+% profit and put another buying order @2.8. I will hold the rest for at least few months as I believe the price will pass $5 in earlier 2018.

However, you are right about all eggs - always have a wide portfolio.
Be careful about having a "too wide" portfolio though. There are a lot of people who assume that diversification means buying as many assets as possible. That's not the case though. It's better to have a few really strong assets than a lot of mediocre ones. So it always pays to do extremely thorough research on every investment.

Correct! Diversification is not simply a strategy, it is a must for investment. However, your basket of eggs should be carefully selected, you shouldn't simply buy 10 different coins without having any real justification other than to diversify. I have even been tempted to take 1-2% into "gamble" coins but I've lost money before and am in this too long term to take the risk again.

More than 60% of my portfolio is in alts, as I have been diversifying bitcoin out. I try to keep fiat perspective to see that I didn't actually lose that much money yet, but can't help it of course since I bought them all with BTC.

My eggs are all long term now so I'm ready for a long waiting game, will be a long time before I dip into another alt, but not going to further thin out my %s just for the sake of more diversification!
10865  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] KZ CASH - First regional cryptocurrency in Kazakhstan on: November 06, 2017, 06:50:44 AM
Dear Community!

Since we have announced last working plans 10 days ago, we want to make short summury.
-Chinese webpage - launched.
-MN payments - enforced.
-Pool - launched, interface in development.
-Listings - applied, waiting.

What are our next steps:
1 KZPool interface development (est 1 week)
2 Preparing to organize first DAO voting (10%), in technical and informational respect (est 2 weeks)
3 Crypto-ATM research and negotiation (est 6 weeks, 5 units) - to purchase and launch it in Kazakhstan.

Thank You for Your great support. We will announce more details in the days coming.
Follow us on Twitter.

Thank you for your earlier reply, will definitely get in touch in a little while! I'm really looking forward to the UI outlook for the pool, this will probably determine if I start with them. Quite surprised to see your plans for a crypto ATM in Kazakhstan... that is going to be a significant investment, last time I checked a single ATM was about $30,000 so we are talking about USD150k here. I would advice for a tiny bit of holding the reins there, but hey, you guys know what you're doing!

Good luck again, always watching.
10866  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Fantasy crypto portfolio on: November 06, 2017, 06:36:09 AM
I have so many of those that just seeing this list is making my heart heavy with regret. Of these, I'd already got Litecoin for very close to 10% of current USD  and BCH for free, so the ones jerking my tears are Stratis (I got at 5.90) and Steem (1.6). These are all such great value buys, even though they're fictitious.

Let me guess, you're waiting for correction time with Bitcoin? Then again, it's also in your portfolio so is this a hedging strategy or just a random 10 of Top 20 coins? Hard to go wrong here in my opinion.
10867  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO]🌈🌈🌈VECTOR - WHERE YOU VOTE FOR THE NEW COINS (EXCHANGE) 🌈🌈🌈 on: November 05, 2017, 12:53:47 PM
Hi Vector team! I'm on the look out for a new crypto currency exchange to use, one that actually answers ALL the questions you've asked us to ask ourselves with a huge YES. In particular, I draw attention to this question: Does my crypto exchange have amazing 24/7 customer service?

Everyone will agree that nothing else matters in exchange. We don't mind fees, we don't mind anything else. But we DO ming support that takes forever to solve issues, especially withdrawal.

I won't use you yet in a big way, but I guarantee if you have 24/7 CS which is amazing and NOT rude like everyone else, you will be big.
10868  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your favorite 3 altcoins and why? on: November 05, 2017, 12:32:56 PM
LTC
VTC
ZEN

LTC- alternative to bitcoin with better and quicker development.
VTC- tries to solve the problem with miners controlling the market with asic resistance and dev team even faster than LTCs.
ZEN- complete anonymous transactions, messaging, and publishing. Secured through mining and secure nodes. user based governance.

Yeah, Litecoin has my alt vote every day of the week. The price itself is a big bonus for me, since I see Litecoin as the original Bitcoin alternative. It will never be as expensive, but look at the stability in price. Long-term profits is an incentive but the development and community are nothing short of inspirational to Bitcoin.

Zen I will always view a few rungs below Monero, but I do like the user aspect for governance.

Waves is my latest entry into my personal favourite top 3, for much of the reasons as Litecoin (development) but that it has a solid product that keeps getting better.
10869  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is BTG worth the trouble? on: November 05, 2017, 11:21:06 AM
Instead of paying attention to hearing all the bad stuff about losing your Bitcoin, learn about keeping your coins secure and you never need to worry about things like that. Whether or not BTG is worth it will have nothing to do about losing your bitcoins. If you don't know how to claim them, make sure you do. Read the official websites, get the guides and follow them. If they're not out yet or you're not sure. Just wait until you are.

They will be worth something for sure. Even if only 1% of Bitcoin price, that's still more than 70 dollars per BTG. Worth it? Sounds so to me.
10870  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: best upcoming ICO on: November 05, 2017, 09:50:49 AM
Hi experts,

1)which all are the upcoming ICO's.
2)which all re worthy in upcoming icos.

Just an opinion , i think Crypterium its good ICO , because their have a good concept , professional team and based for crypto banks on world (Most successfully project).
Maybe GetChange ICO too , their have a good concept too , like crypterium , but this is singapore based mobile cryptobank.
I think the most success ICO its based on their concept, team and their project like Crypto Bankings , Grocery , Debit Card and Wallet/Exchanger.
CMIIW

Yeah, I looked a little at Crypterium. They had some decent options for innovative crypto payments. Even if a lot of people here will criticise the idea of crypto banks, but if you look past that, a product that addresses the problems for the majority, which is technological inability or in the case of crypto technical complexity, then we can understand that these types of solutions are needed to bridge people and tech. For that alone, we can consider them.

However, the space for crypto payments/banking/management is so crowded now, it's going to be hard to pick the "right" one among many,
10871  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: segwit2x price prediction on: November 05, 2017, 09:15:46 AM
youre option this thread is crazy, if bitcoin price can down 500 - 2000 dollar about segwit in november
you can read history about hardfork
before BCH and BTG release about hardfork bitcoin price incraese very high
and now before segwit bitcoin price incraese high too

if bicoin price down only corection not exstreme, maybe can down to 5000 - 6000 dollar,

Look, I think we have to be realistic, even when going with a bearish value for Bitcoin. Yes, the Segwit2x fork is going to be a whole different ballgame. Bitcoin Cash was a singular rebellion, Bitcoin Gold was totally incompetent, with the fork facing issues after two weeks and still not going anywhere. But Segwit2x is a huge fork with a lot of support from actual miners and competent people. The effects may not be like what we've experienced on the past two forks, and even core is concerned especially with protection of funds.

Still, the worst case scenario is halving of price. And that's still a solid 3,600!
10872  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why is ETC suddenly rising? on: November 04, 2017, 07:38:57 PM
Okay. I really have to start asking. Who on earth is Teeka Tiwari and why is his name popping up all over the place? I know I can just use Google to see, but would any of you guys who've started using his name here like to explain why you think his calls are good? Is he like another Jamie Dimon who's suddenly become some expert that has a lot of newbie accounts following?

Now ETC: this rise can't be anything more than gentle buying pressure. It hasn't had any significant developments for a really long time. It's as stable as it gets though, but until one of the many sites I use start accepting ETC, I can never see a big future for it.
10873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] EARTH TOKEN - Participate in the $120 trillion natural asset market on: November 04, 2017, 03:04:21 PM
Of course we should encourage such ideas like these. The current crypto ICOs and new project launchings are still highly focused on profit. And for those solving problems, they're not really helping or addressing urgent needs.

This is one of those in between, but really I don't see how a token at all helps with innovation. Now if they could instead implement a blockchain aided process to track wastage and measure for certain what can and cannot be converted, now that's an idea.

This is just a marketplace, which at best only helps reduce pricing. What's the use of that outside profit?
10874  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] KZ CASH - First regional cryptocurrency in Kazakhstan on: November 04, 2017, 10:50:00 AM

Don't worry. We keep the capital as planned. No dump from our side. If we have to change a small part for project we will announce.
So considering 62 MN in the network there are in around 54k coins ONLY in free  market. This exchange is small so price jumping can occur but in general all ok. Our idea is to have stable price between 3.00 and 5.00.

We support Your slogan - NO DUMP!

I've been considering getting in on one of these national cryptos, and this does look pretty neat. @OP I would suggest for now a single document all in English, if possible summarising how to get/mine/trade this coin. With some of the updates from this thread inside. At the moment, a lot of good info but all over the place and some of it in Russian (I think?).

Also, the problem right now is that the capital is too high, even if you promise not to dump it.

Can we also expect listing in all the Decentralized Exchanges? There are so many up there now! Long Live Kazakh!
10875  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE - 🎲🎲🎲 ICO ANNOUNCE 15 AUG 2017! JOIN THE TRANSFORMATION! 🎰🎰🎰 on: November 04, 2017, 09:44:31 AM
Hey guys,

BitDice has joined Crypto Gambling Foundation.

The Crypto Gaming Foundation is going to be setting a standard for transparency and fairness in our gaming community. Online casinos are amongst the least trusted businesses in the world with only 34% of people believing that online gambling is fair and can be trusted.

Regards,
Alex.

Congratulations and well done to BitDice for becoming one of the first to join what has to be an important development not just for crypto gambling but for Online Casinos and Gambling all around.

Perhaps the long term aim should be for the foundation to not only set the standard but attempt to create an ISO for transparency and fairness for online gambling, perhaps even for Provably Fair as a concept?

So only 1 in 3 people believe they can trust online gambling? This really needs to be improved. It's probably lower for crypto gambling!
10876  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ||| eReal - 6% Monthly Interest Rate | Crypto Payments ICO | Brazil ||| on: November 04, 2017, 09:28:10 AM
To be fair, if we ignore the language, the initial idea started out well. Take away control from the corrupt, restore the balance of wealth, adjust the economic imbalance etc. etc. Then suddenly, we get to the interest bearing rates which are just so high! Brazil and other countries are now suffering partially because of the total disfunctionality of a common banking and finance system that simply doesn't work.

And interest is one of the biggest effect contributors. 6% compounding is going to create a big problem later on and just enriches people who already have a lot of tokens. Will there be any new creation of tokens or are we going to just end up in trouble like Brazil's economy?
10877  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: best upcoming ICO on: November 03, 2017, 03:10:41 PM
I am doing analysis on Debitum Network project and will be able to share more once I fully complete it, but already now I like the project due to strong points:

1. Team - both financial and IT background, previous on-hand business experience, members working already for at least few years.
2. Market - credit gap for small businesses is huge, underserved by major banks
3. Working businesses - they claim to have two working businesses. One in invoice financing, for which they already raised EUR 3 million and have an invoice turnover of EUR 19 million3. Advisors - looks like business people, not only shiny names on the page. The other is IT development with 151 k project hours clocked.
4. Advisors team - looks like a mix of business people and "mini-stars", likely some of them will remain for post ICO business development.
5. Whitepaper - actually 3 docs (pitch story, position paper, token generation), which include explicit roadmap with detailed use of proceeds and how the ecosystem works.

My few cents. What do you guys think?

Don't take this personally, but I think your research is basic, which is a start, but it only places that ICO in the average category.

1. Team: financial and IT background, what about cryptocurrency or blockchain background? The solution is using blockchain, where are their developers?

2. Market - credit gap is indeed underserved but you have P2P lending which is picking up the slack from banks

3. Okay, this is a good point. So they know how to run a business.. IT devt with 151k hours is not that big btw!

4. Advisors: Not important. Might hurt if linked to other poor projects.

5. Whitepaper: Pitch story should not be part of whitepaper, neither is token generation really. Whitepaper should purely focus on technical details.

So on a whole, it's OKAY. Better than a lot, but not a lot.
10878  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will XTRABYTES (XBY) Be A Top 10 Cryptocurrency By The End Of 2018? on: November 03, 2017, 01:22:31 PM
XBY could be flying if not for the infighting. Have been watching this for months now.. Seems to me like a virus.. The community is strong, the tech is strong, the coin is strong, but could it be said about the senior members..One day it's  one story and another day it's another story. Why all these. For goodness sake, community sake and XBY sake, please guys.. please don't have to wash dirty linen in public..there is a place for everything..do it the right way. These are the demons that have to be controlled, if XBY is to be a TOP 10 Crypto currency by end of 2018 and I believe it could be!

I honestly think it will only take one more tech release and the trolls will have less sway.  The coordinated dumps and fud are just spreading the coin to more hands so they will have less impact over time.  Just keep buying low and holding.

I don't see this infighting as unique to XBY. If anything it's a lot worse with a lot of other alts. Have you seen the fights going on daily in the Bitcoin thread and especially on reddit? Or even on Bitcoin github?

For every supporter there should be expected to be one or more naysayers. That is the benefit and the price of decentralization so we should accept and embrace this.

If the tech is strong enough, the devs smart enough, the community solid enough, then the FUD will only make it better. See Bitcoin again for a brilliant example of this.
10879  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which alts after fork on: November 03, 2017, 12:20:46 PM
Hi which alts after fork do you think are good to invest.I think a lot of fresh coins suffer from the fork and they have potential to grow.I am considering chain link, red pulse, streamr, request what do you think

For better or worse, alt coins are suffering in terms of BTC value because of the latter's extreme resilience this year. If I were to choose a new alt, I would choose one that launches AFTER the Segwit2x fork. Then it would have a good head start on Bitcoin value, priced in after the 2017 all time highs, and priced in after all the forks. It's a pity that everything else is in decline just because of something they had no control over, but that's all learning to be had from this new world of crypto trading!
10880  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: where to buy cheap Ethereum mining hardware on: November 03, 2017, 10:08:43 AM
First, choose the altcoin you want to mine because you want to know about the script/algo, the difficulty and then pools to connect to. This will determine the type of hardware you need. THEN you can check prices. If you go to the main sites of Monero and ETH for example, there are also quick guides on how to start up your own mining rigs with recommended hardware. Buy them yourself, because this is how to get them the cheapest. You can also scout around the mining thread for alts here to see if people are selling older hardware if you want them 2nd hand.
