I would have to agree with Minecache. Many expected that there will be an exodus from ETH. I will say that I am also guilty of thinking about it too. For me I was expecting a good possibility that more miners will transfer to ETC and then followed by some of the supporters making it the major chain. We were wrong and I will be the first one to admit that. ETH is still the major chain and ETC the minor one. Now the next step I want to see is for both of them to diverge and live on their own and stop all the fighting nonsense between the two.

Yes. What I like more about Monero is that it is becoming a political statement in these times of government spying and snooping on its citizens. I am encouraging the use of Monero among my cryptocoin friends and encourage them to hold the coin also. I have a question about the darknet markets. Is there any legal items for sale there? Are there merchants that accept XMR but sell harmless but embarrassing items to buy like dildos or sex dolls?

Coin rallies aren't lasting very long any more. Doesn't look like there's much new money coming in. Looks like the DAO disaster struck a mighty blow.
"Coin rallies aren't lasting very long any more." ^ This is normal. And I don't think we are in a bear market. Some altcoins are still very strong atm, and others are not. This is just a normal market condition. We are of course not in a bull market. Which altcoins are strong at the moment. Please post them and tell us what you think of each. Because I doubt that your statement is true. The only true strong altcoin I see right now is XMR. They rest are getting weak or are whale pumps.

We say a BTC dip when the ETC pump was ongoing. ETC seems to have bottomed and it has been rising since a couple of days ago. Considering the hacker is not dumb and will not dump to get caught by authorities, he will help to pump it too.
I have this feel about a huge ETC pump coming again.
I agreed with this post the first time I read it the day you posted it. Now it is clear that you and also I have made a mistake in thinking that it has bottomed out. Also a pump will come again from the whales but the question is when. If there is a pump from the whales the other question us why. Is there a fundamental reason that they believe ETC is a long term hold? Or are they pumping ETC only for profit and that they will dump it later?

@dinofelis. Apple has lost their "rebel" image a very long time ago when they became one of the largest companies during the 1980's. It would be naive to think that they are still for the people and the downtrodden. If they really were they should stop using poor Chinese workers and giving them very low wages plus poor working conditions.
Also if Apple was really on the edge and a "rebel", they would have embraced the idea of bitcoin from the very beginning. Too bad they were busy counting their money.

The forum breach/leak that everyone is talking about happened a year ago so why suddenly everyone is talking about it and since then we were asked to change our passwords so everything should be okay (unless those users never changed their passwords) Looking at the UID of the users and their current ranks , I'd say they were inactive for long long time , they probably left the forums .
Yes. It happened a year ago but the database was sold only recently if I read the news right. Maybe the buyer have found out how to crack those passwords. I know Theymos encrypted them well but decryption solutions can be found if the person doing it is motivated enough. That is why we are getting new updates in encryption software because they are solved and decrypted sooner or later.

^^^ "I have notified the manager." ^^^ IDS Option Signature Campaign-closed [Announcement] Due to issues with our parent company, we are no longer able to continue this signature campaign. We will pay all participants for posts up to September 8, 2016. We thank you for your support and hope to meet you again once more in the future.
He must have realized that most of his campaigners all come from a single click farm. The other campaign that I have noticed who have a lot of these farmed accounts is secondstrade. I already warned the manager and he is now aware. I am surprised some click farm accounts are up to the senior member level.

I find it hard to read the transcript without spacing.
Yes. Also how is the Waves Platform doing? I got discouraged with Sasha's way of running the project and I decided to sell my stake acquired from the ICO. I still hope for the best for the project because I believe it is a promising one. Also are the full nodes out? Sasha promised they will be out this month.

Can litecoin implement ring ct signatures?
I am not a coder but I think it is not possible. But John Connor mentioned that Vcash's chain blender solution for anonymity can be implemented for almost any altcoin. So I believe if the litecoin development team wanted to add anonymity features for LTC then the chain blender solution would be good to experiment with first.

Congratulations for being included among the top projects at NFX Guild. If I may suggest something, can you be more visible here at bitcointalk? It would be nice to be updated with the important news from your project. No offense to DecentralizedEconomics, but he sometimes come out as very strong and offensive. This will have negative impact on Synereo and it will not be good for your PR.

@Sharma. Use Keepass. You can download it here http://keepass.info/It is what I use and it makes password management easier. You passwords will also be harder to crack since they look something like "SDFT%$EW^Y%ETGYBDE#$^^&$"

@spartak_t. Any chance that they are hanging out here in bitcointalk? Maybe they are laughing at us because we are always too late in joining the party. To the whales. Please pump Lisk next! I will forever be thankful.

They should find a way to go around the trusted set up "problem". There will always be questions and FUD if they go on with it. The broke one of the sacred rules of cryptocurrencies and that is the need to trust a 3rd party. What would satoshi think?

When someone says it is a "private" blockchain then it is not a blockchain. What would you need a private blockchain for? Why not use Oracle database or something. That might suit their clients needs better.
|
|
|
Why is Vitalik making it hard for himself by using a blockchain? We all know true decentralized blockchains are not scalable and could not be controlled like the way he wants. Maybe what he needs is a distributed ledger like Ripple with a turing complete programming language?

It is better to be safe. When you are in doubt, go ahead and change your password. Do not risk it because there could be another data breach that we do not know yet.
|
|
|
Would it be possible for another breach happening without the mods or the staff knowing? There is a few threads with users claiming that their accounts are hacked. The DDOS plus the hacks could not be all a coincidence. What do you all suspect?

@freshman777. From your statement it sounds like you expect NXT to stay at the current price now. Do you think there will be another rise coming? Or is that it since 65% of the Ardor distribution has already been completed there will be no more interest for the speculators to buy NXT? At first I thought it was "going to the moon" because of Ardor.

@altseeker. Do not discount the fact that ETH and ETC are pulling each other down right now. So instead of both of them fighting each other it would be better for them to work together for the common good.
|
|
|
Yes. What is happening? I thought that if ETH goes down, ETC will rise. Now it seems both are going down. But the fall is bigger in ETH than ETC if you noticed. Could this be the people losing confidence in both platforms? What would this is mean for a platform like Lisk?
