10981  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-09-09] Bitcoin Price Sinks Below $4,200 on China Uncertainty on: September 09, 2017, 11:11:36 AM
But its currently trading at above $4300 now from a high of $4700 just a couple of days ago. China is shaking bitcoin today and the fake news really had a impact, just like when that announce that they are banning ICO's as well. Are they really putting the ban hammer on bitcoin or they just want to established a tighter regulation surrounding it? I can't understand why they are suddenly making U-turn on bitcoin, do they consider it really a threat to their yen? This remains to be seen in the next weeks or so if the price will continue to go down or recover.
10982  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CryptoCurrency Ban in China on: September 09, 2017, 10:51:19 AM
nothing, just one country out of ~190 countries in the world will start to fall behind the rest of the world because the rest are adopting bitcoin every day and have already started regulating bitcoin like Japan did earlier this year.

as for price, there may be some turbulence for a short time, less than 2 weeks probably and then things will be back to normal as if nothing had happened!

Exactly, though as big as their influence of the market, countries like Japan and South Korea or even Australia who have embrace bitcoin can take the reign from the Chinese. We already saw what the Japanese can do, they are crazy over bitcoin and don't mind to take it over from the Chinese, if they decided to go from bitcoin friendly, to anti-bitcoin country.

As for the price, it will dip, so the best thing to do is to buy in this situation so I guess its still a win-win for all of us. We will just have to see how deep the impact of their action to the bitcoin market. But for sure, bitcoin price will recover once again and going strong at the end of the year.
10983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Frustration in betting. on: September 09, 2017, 10:12:50 AM
There is frustration sometimes like the higher and the impossible odds team winning but that is still fine in betting there is nothing called like a guarantee no matter if you bet on a odd of 1.01 there is still a chance that the other team wins betting is worst that gambling games avoid it

You are really unlucky if you still lost at 1.01 odd, and no need for me to be frustrated as well  Its part of the game, and accept the fact to accept your loses. I myself, have experienced to bet on that kind of odd and lost as well. I just shrug it off and look for the next game to bet on. We 'experienced' gamblers should now this. No matter what the tips is, if the criteria is not fulfilled then you are not going to win. Live another day, as a recall one gambler telling me about how to deal with losses. Forget it, and live for the next day to bet.
10984  Economy / Speculation / Re: China Closing Doors Equals Death of Bitcoin? on: September 09, 2017, 07:53:17 AM
A false news circulated that China is now on the verge of banning all Bitcoin exchanges from operating the country was sending a big chill throughout the cryptocurrency ecosystem and markets. This news came after the recent announcement banning all ICO projects.

Now, we are seeing that the market is putting some heavy weight on developments on China and the decisions coming from the government. No I am wondering what if it would really ban all Bitcoin activities within their legal territories?

Will it be the end of Bitcoin or will Bitcoin slowly ignore China?

Its really hard to fathom what you are saying here. We all know for a fact that China is a big player in bitcoin ecosystem. If these chose to shuts it door, so be it. Definitely it will has a strong effect in the market and we have to endure it. However, I guess we can still recover from such devastation because there are countries like Japan and South Korea that will continue what China has left. Or we may see some countries that will take over in terms of mining bitcoin.
10985  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever gambled to escape worry, trouble, boredom, loneliness, grief or lose on: September 09, 2017, 07:37:34 AM
I gamble most of the time when I am alone.
Same goes for me I also gamble when I am alone and feel bored,
But I really control the amount that I deposit since I am only playing to past my time and not for the profit .

I gamble most of the time because of boredom. I play gambling mostly for fun and not for profit. I gamble with my friends because it is more exciting and fun and also because I am used to play with other people personally. I can also remember that I have gamble because of loneliness and sometimes mix emotion.

Me too. I usually gamble just to have some fun with my friends and family and I don't gamble if I'm too depressed or have personal issues because it won't help and you are going to gamble when your decision is clouded and you may even lose more, adding to your grief. Maybe boredom yes, specially at night when there is nothing to do and you just go online and play your favorite online dice game or even slot machine. Just to past the time, when you are alone and not yet sleepy. But to escape the your personal problem. No.
10986  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FAKE CHINESE NEWS, DO NOT SELL FROM FEAR, HODL TO THE MOON on: September 09, 2017, 06:53:40 AM
Chinese are known for creating fud just after a good bull trend on whole crypto market and most of the time they also got success like today.
Crypto market is full of panic sellers and the one who is quite wise will just keep on making profit from every dip in price.

Yeah. And if you look at it, there timing it when the price of bitcoin is going strong which lead me to speculate that someone benefits from this FUD, specially the whalers from China. And not only one but twice in a week they created this FUD putting the price of bitcoin at their mercy. However, we have seen this and we will not be affected by it. Bitcoin has the full trust on may investors including a country. So the logically choice for most of us is to hodl and not panic at this trying times.
10987  Economy / Speculation / Re: are we out of the bear market? on: September 07, 2017, 07:22:04 PM
so are we?? I feel uneasy making any trades atm... what you guys think?

If you mean that we are out of the price correction after the Chinese declaring banning bitcoin, then I would say Yes, because the price has already recovered and trading in a average of $4600-$4700 already. However, if you are not comfortable in this times then do trading but just hodl on your coins. If you are new in trading, then you have a lot of lessons to learned in my opinion. Actually the price volatility what makes bitcoin attracting to most of the traders. So I advise if you are not comfortable because of the current price, then take a step back and just observe the price movement.
10988  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: September 07, 2017, 05:29:42 PM
Argentina's Juan Martin del beat Roger Federer in four sets to reach the US Open semi-finals.
He goes on to face Rafael Nadal, who earlier beat Russian teenager Andrey Rublev.
What are your thoughts about this semi?

Wow. Del Potro is really playing this good in this tournament. I thought the Roger could easily beat him because Del Potro just came from a hard fought match against Thiem. But just like thay say, "the ball is round". However, I still think that Nadal can overcome Del Potro here. Eventhough he upsets Federer, we will ba facing another veteran, but if was able to get pass Nadal here, I'm sure he will get the chance to raise the trophy this year. But I'm betting on Nadal here.
10989  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin trading secret that professional will not what you to know. on: September 06, 2017, 10:00:39 PM
Just buy low and sell high. I have never lose a single trade follow this simple traditional business principle.

This is quite effective when you are slow trading (i.e buy at x price today, and sell at y price next week/month), but not so much if you are day trading - blindly buying yourself into whatever level will then result in severe losses. Slow trading and day trading can't really be but in the same category, as the latter mentioned requires a well balanced combination of proper market understanding and analyzing skills, and we shouldn't forget that luck is involved as well. That being said, even this slow trading method is something that a lot people don't seem to get right. Emotions are people's worst enemy when it comes to trading, and this will always play an important role for a lot people here - it makes even the most simple things a massive obstacle for them.

I agree, this is more of a investing for long haul rather than day trading. Usually, day trading requires a lot of risk in the side of the trader because you have to monitor even the small price fluctuations to really profit otherwise you will be trap as well. So you have to thoroughly study the market before making your move. So its very tricky. However, "buy low sell high" is still the norm and have been followed by almost all of us, including me. Its just get complicated one you gain experience and look at the graphs like candlestick, stochastic ossilarator and other indicators as the OP has mentioned. If you don't like things to be very complicated on your end, just stick to the old adage of Buying low and selling high.
10990  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-09-05]Russia is not interested in Bitcoin!! on: September 06, 2017, 08:45:42 PM
Of course they are not really interested in Bitcoin and any other crypto currency for that matter. They view it as a threat for their government and knowing how they control everything, this is no brainer. That is why I don't believed anything related to crypto that is coming out from Russia. It is always they have opposing views and totally contradicts what the other will say. Even having a mining farm is very doubtful because there was a news lately announcing that they are planning to put up out similar to China because they have a lot of extra supply of electricity. So this news is no surprise to me at all.
10991  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-09-03] Bitcoin By 2020 on: September 06, 2017, 02:01:17 PM
I think this is possible because we will see the next halving in the next 2-3 years if I'm not mistaken. So this will make bitcoin scarce and the supply will be cut in half. But the demand is even greater by that time. Here is the countdown:

http://www.bitcoinblockhalf.com/

So I speculate that we are really going to touch this price barring no such drama that will negatively impact the current market trend. So it makes sense to really hodl on our bitcoin and just wait for the next halving because the price might double or triple by that time.
10992  Economy / Speculation / Re: the likelihood that bitcoin will see a correction at 5000$ on: September 04, 2017, 09:39:16 PM
Just the wishes can't influence the bitcoin price but this situation now doesn't worry me. It's the correction that probably has also something to do with situation in China but that will not last so long that O would have to sell my coins. It might take a while to get back to 5000$ but just be patient, the price will go back on the track.

Although the price has significantly drop in the last couple of days, it looks its own the way to recovery, just a few hours ago, I see the price ranging from $4100-$4200 but right now it has picked up to $43xx. The situation in China had made this price correction worsen, but knowing bitcoin, it has the capacity to return to its normal state and this maybe the beginning.

More than 5% decline from around  $4,850 to around  $3,950 low. This really shows the sign of  serious correction at the moment. Although it Is a very good point for rational investors to buy more and hold pending when its value increase again.

I hope new and rational irrational investors will go on buying spree and ordinary or casuals as well. Because once the price zoom again it will be very hard to buy once bitcoin has gain steam again. So its better to hold and buy back bitcoin at this low price.
10993  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pacquiao vs. Horn - REMATCH! on: September 04, 2017, 08:34:52 PM
ever since becoming a senator Pacquiao has lost his fans so he's scared of a rematch with a poor fighter

I don't think he's afraid of a rematch, the pacquiao I know is courageous enough to withstand any fighter of thus current generation so this is false, he will definitely make amends against this guy should the rematch happen.

Of course we already know that Pacquiao won't back down to any fights. He is cancelling the fight because of his duty. I don't know what this guy is talking about. Pacquiao also proven that he is willing to fight bigger guys and Horn is no threat to him. He has beaten that kid, but because of the judges, he lost it.

He was cheated badly and I still gave it a win for pacman in my books and I hope a rematch ensue one day because he will whoop that guys ass bad for the world and fake judges to know.

As I see it, a rematch is really warranted specially for Horn. He really need to show us that he really win the first fight. However, Pacman needs to cancel it because we all know that he is a serving Senator. But I still do think that they will fight again. There is a rematch clause that Manny will exercise and Horn readily obliged. However, it is sad that it will not happen soon.

And as far as Manny being scared, are you kidding me? He has face the best of the best in every division he campaign and he beat most of them. So scared in not on Pacman's vocabulary. Please go check some of his fights when he is going up in weight division and go back here and tell the truth if he is afraid to face anyone in the ring. He even called out Mayweather for many years, if Floyd fought the version of Manny in the Cotto fight. It could be a different story.
10994  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-09-04] South Korea Takes Steps To Regulate Digital Currencies on: September 04, 2017, 07:52:16 PM
Ok it make sense now, This is really a coordinate effort from the Big 3, and Japan will follow suit soon. I think since they have legalized bitcoin, will take some time to fully put a regulations. However, this news will really rip across the market as we have seen today. But as the situation will be clearer, we may see bitcoin recovered again. We are just caught by surprised by the news. However, it you look at the bright site, this is a welcoming news for investors and traders. You don't want to miss the train when it gain steam. So board now before you miss out. I will buy bitcoin again, once I got home from my daily schedule and hope that the price won't recover yet as soon I arrived home later.
10995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To Many SCAM! on: September 04, 2017, 07:22:39 PM
As a result of too many ICO scam, the Chinese have decided to ban ICO as well. And this has trigger waves of panic selling right now, causing the price of every coin to drop fast including bitcoin and eth. Most impacted were the largest ICO tokens, with OmiseGo and Qtum declining from total market values of above $1 billion earlier this week to $781 million and $638 million today. Even USA and I read that South Korea as well releasing a announcement regarding scam ICO. The Chinese believes that that many ICOs are just "wearing a vest of legitimacy," while in essence, they are illegal fundraising. In short it is a scam. Its gonna be a long day for most of us in the crypto and seeing the market going in red, its a bloodbath Monday.
10996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you like slot games ? on: September 02, 2017, 01:59:55 PM
Only in Las Vegas. They have great prices there and many different various slot games.

But online, its not really as much fun. Its better if its a physical slots game.
I agree. I also do not like playing online casino. But there are so many people, so many opinions. It is quite real that someone likes to play through the computer.

I only have tried once to play slots in an online casino and damn .01BTC was gone in a few minutes. I was very unlucky then that I won't play online slots again. Never. But its the other way around in a landbased casino. I have won numerous times in a slot machine, and even with just a small bankroll, I almost have the feeling that I will get the bonus spin and won big. That's why I still try to play a few times in a landbased whenever we go to a casino. But sometimes I don't have the excitement anymore unlike before and just play card games like baccarat or blackjack.
10997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and mystic on: September 02, 2017, 08:07:17 AM
As the title of Gambling and mystic so I wonder if the mystic can take a role in gambling
I'm sure you've heard someone involves supernatural powers to gambling nah whether it really works or just luck

I want to hear your experience or knowledge about it

It's depend on what religion do you believe but for me, it's about luck and chance based on math that I've learned at school
Let say if someone able win big because a bracelet that he/she obtain from shaman , everybody will do the same , right ?

LOL. I don't believe that someone can really influence the outcome of a game in your favor.  Gambling is really based on luck and no outside forces that change the outcome lets say of a dice roll. Its only in the movie that all this mystic or supernatural thing in gambling can happen. I consider this as a superstitions and we all that for a logical person to really think that his luck will change by just believing in it is wrong. Probably someone will really believe in those specially in third world or developing or even poor nation. But for far more advanced countries, Shaman and Superstitions has no place specially in gambling.
10998  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-09-01] Bitcoin Is Getting Crazy Close to Breaking the $5,000 Mark on: September 02, 2017, 07:42:04 AM
Seems like touching $5,000 has triggered a correction, as the price is now in $4,700-4,800 zone. I think what happened now can be explained some traders taking profits at important psychological level of 5 thousands, and since this response was too strong, the price dipped further down. Next we'll probably have a ground around $4,500-4,700, and than we'll either test 5,000 again, or 4,200 and lower. The later seems more likely, as everyone is expecting correction after a very long bull run. But I personally prefer to hodl and look for the longer perspective instead of trying to play the markets against people who might have more information than me.

Woke up to check the price, its around $4,700-$4,800 from a high of almost touching $5000. Yes, I believed we have put a barrier now, which is $5000. We can understand that traders jumping on and pushing the sell button because the price is really that high. The price increase was so fast that one has to expect a correction will really happen. Its just a matter of time. However, its a healthy one so that others can join the party as well and stash bitcoin. But I do believe that we may really see that it will break this barrier as soon as new faces coming in.
10999  Economy / Economics / Re: Venezuelans are adopting Bitcoin on: September 01, 2017, 11:23:45 PM

Venezuelans are using Bitcoin as a store of wealth since the hyperinflation down there is getting out of hand. They don't care about .001 fees, they need Bitcoin so that they can survive and not lose all their wealth due to a broken fiat economy.

I think Venezuelans are not just using bitcoin as store of wealth, but they are buying things outside of Venezuela using bitcoin because as what you have said they are in hyperinflation. The economic crisis in Venezuela is getting worst and worst everyday and its truly brilliant for the Venezuelans to survive in this crisis through bitcoin saying in buying. I guess that almost most of us here hope that the situation in Venezuela will recover because we don't want to see a beautiful country like them turn something like this.
11000  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-08-31]Bitcoin Price Comes Close to $4,700 As Latest Jump Takes Altcoins Hi on: September 01, 2017, 08:03:16 PM
Had quick glance at https://coinmarketcap.com/ and looks like its not only bitcoin enjoying the gains, and i thought people said when bitcoin gains altcoins fall....guess this crypto myth is busted.
Biggest gains among the top 50 so far we have PIVX,  Ethereum Classic and Litecoin hope to see BTC as a top gainer soon.

Maybe the new investors are not just getting into the bitcoin market, but they are diversifying their portfolio and pouring cash into the Altcoin market as well?  ETH as well is almost $400 and might touch a new ATH if the trend continues. I really thinking that those stocks and gold guys are diversifying and getting into the crypto market now. Perhaps they really think that crypto are really a safe heaven for now and they are taking advantage of the situation for their benefits. Lets hope the trend continue, and if their is a correction, its gonna be minor and a healthy one.
