1101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people are asking you about Bitcoin now? on: May 26, 2017, 05:30:37 PM
It is really still an underground sort of thing right now at least around me, people know I am into bitcoin but are not really interested in diving in and I have tried.

There is a lot of talk about bitcoin in the news and various articles recently and it seems that it is now all positive, I think once more and more people start to understand what bitcoin is they will kick themselves that they never listened and got in, even at this level you can buy even $20 as a starter.
1102  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we ever see bitcoin lower than 1000$? on: May 26, 2017, 05:23:56 PM
You cannot rule anything out in this world but I seriously doubt we will see below $1,000 again.  This is looking like it could be the year that sees bitcoin hurtle towards mainstream adoption.
1103  Economy / Speculation / Re: We're reaching $3,000 soon! on: May 25, 2017, 04:24:38 PM
Every morning I wake up and check the price it just keeps on going, I would hate to guess how far it will go but $5k at the end of June isn't that crazy anymore.
1104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In terms of acceptance of bitcoins... on: May 25, 2017, 06:38:51 AM
I think it will be much sooner then we think, already this year there have been a lot of positive articles in the media about bitcoin, Japan's move also has been a massive step forward.

2017 & 2018 will be where bitcoin breaks out into the mainstream.
1105  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-05-24]Bitcoin Price Blazes Past $2400 and Higher in Japan, India and South on: May 25, 2017, 06:33:55 AM
Just woke up and as usual check the coin prices and was surprised to see bitcoin has yet again shot up a few hundred dollars, if it keeps up at this rate we will be having a pretty good summer.
1106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Bitcoins now, At this price, It Isn't working on: May 24, 2017, 04:30:35 PM
If you can afford to buy in at this level then you should just buy, it is now getting out of reach for the average person to buy a whole bitcoin but thankfully it breaks down so much that anybody can enter at any level.
1107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In the near future,... on: May 24, 2017, 06:34:00 AM
I can't really see this taking off at this early stage.  There will be some that will do it but will probably regret it further down the line.  We have the chips under the skin also which some people have done, I just think we should leave our body alone at this stage.
1108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Perceptions about Bitcoin on: May 23, 2017, 08:39:15 PM
Sadly this is the same for a lot of people as the only time people really here about bitcoin is when it is tied to crime.  I do see this changing, most recently bitcoin is getting more and more positive press and more adoption which will gradually change their opinion.
1109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WBB made +35% in last 24 hours on: May 22, 2017, 07:15:49 PM
Alright, so the ANN thread is dead, the website looks abandoned too and 2009 style.

I recieve no slack invitation on any email provider. So... either buterin has some great inside knowledge or is fucking trolling which seems much more likely.
It is definitely alive and in the middle of changing to a new name, they do not spend much time on here at all as their old ANN became a playground, most stuff is via their slack.

The tweet is no doub being sarcastic but has helped with exposure, it really is a coin to keep your eye on, I am looking forward to the next few months when they release their platform.

They invite manually so it might take a bit of time.

I miss the old playground.  It had 99.3% more cat memes than this thread which in my opinion could use more cat memes.

Funny how a majority of the replies to the tweet were actually favorable.  Wonder if he expected that.

Haha there were plenty of cats.  I know, he probably thought he was being a smartass and plucking a useless coin out of the hat, I seriously doubt he expected anything like that.
1110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you risk 10 BTC at 80% to get a 1.2x payout? on: May 22, 2017, 04:51:36 PM
Nope, 10 is far too much to be risking even if it were 90% chance, I would hate myself if it didn't work out.
1111  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will be the price of the bitcoin at the end of 2017? on: May 22, 2017, 04:48:50 PM
This is an exciting question, it really could go anywhere.  $8,755 is my crazy guess.

1113  Other / Off-topic / Re: Other than Bitcoin, How to earn money in online on: May 22, 2017, 04:22:20 PM
Other than what you are already doing, trading some altcoins might bring you some extra money, there are some online survey sites such as swagbucks but you really wouldn't be earning much from them.
1114  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-04-19]You Can Now Pay Bitcoin for Parking at 27 UK Airports on: May 21, 2017, 05:18:05 PM
This is great news, airport parking can be quite expensive so booking beforehand is a must and to be able to do it with bitcoin is good news.
1115  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] SPECTROCOIN.COM Bitcoin Exchange, Wallet, Debit Card and Merchant solution on: May 20, 2017, 04:57:00 PM
Guys could you please in future notify us by putting something on your website or twitter that you will be doing some system maintenance so we know rather than have us wondering where our deposits are.

Your support said that there is no ETA, hopefully it won't be too long but I would suggest some prior notice to ensure customers have a smooth and transparent xperience.

Apologies for the inconvenience we will do our best to notify our clients in the future.

Hi, I agree with the previous comment.  As a noob to your site and with my desposit pending for almost 24 hours now it would be good to have some ETA.  I've read generally good comments about your service however this is unfortunate as a first experience.  Any idea when this will be fixed?

Hello, we are working on it at the moment. Should be fixed in a few hours. Thank you for your patience.

What exactly are you trying to fix? two days now is quite concerning and doesn't sit well.

Please send to PM your SpectroCoin account name, as we believe the issue is with too low transaction fee you have put for the deposit.

Sent the txids, I really don't think the fee is the issue as both have had hundreds of confirms and you state after 1 confirm you show the transaction.
1116  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin Visa card without giving away your real name? on: May 20, 2017, 04:36:03 PM
You will need to provide your name when signing up for even an unverified card, I would imagine they would do a basic check before issuing a card but then I could be wrong.

1118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I had luck in which Alt I should invest now on: May 19, 2017, 06:45:12 AM
Nice find, I would suggest spreading it over at least three coins rather than just one.  Two that I think are worth a serious look are WBB and COVAL, both would be more long term late 2017 / 2018 to see the real action.
1119  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin die soon? on: May 19, 2017, 06:40:22 AM
I wouldn't say bitcoin will die, it will definitely be overtaken by an altcoin for everyday use unless it can sort itself out because these delays are not helpful to people just coming in after being told about the ease at which you can send money.

Myself I have not experienced much delay recently, the most was about 30 mins with a fee of 0.001
1120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What catastrophic event do you think would cause Bitcoin to drop? on: May 18, 2017, 04:39:09 PM
I think the one event that would kill bitcoin would be the internet being shut off or the power grids going down, as unlikely as they are to happen I think these would signal the end of bitcoin.
