11041  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Historia dos Smart Contracts - PORTAL DESCENTRALIZADO on: June 18, 2019, 01:51:26 AM
Gostei do texto.

11042  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Recovering bip39 seed on: June 18, 2019, 12:35:54 AM
I have a 24 word bip39 seed and all the words are in the bip39 word list.
Somehow it is not a valid bip39 seed, i think the checksum fails.

I have tried to replace words with similar looking words from the list, no help.
MOst of words combination are not valid, even if all words are valid.

The seed is from a Nano S.

Any advice or script to check for errors in the seed?

How was your seed generated?Did you bought ledger from official retailer? Did the seed came written in a piece of paper or did you generate it when you turned your ledger on the first time?
Please give us more information. Your seed may be incorrect.

You can try to recover it in Electrum (Electrum.org) or iancoleman tool, as poordeveloper mentioned.

Please note entering your seed anywhere but in your device you will basically remove all the security from it.
This is correct. Also, anyway you should create a new wallet with a new seed even if you manage to recover your funds.

Edit: Are you sure this seed is from a ledger nano? Electrum uses a different algorithm, and it is not bip39. Your seed may work in Electrum if that is the case.
11043  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: To publish my content for free on: June 17, 2019, 06:47:56 PM
There are some users in Services board that are willing to even pay some BTC for articles.

Some of them even ask for cheap articles. Probably for small websites that do not have a lot of visitors. It is worth checking out, if you are willing to  publish them for free.

like this one that I saw some other day:

11044  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: 🔴🔴 [POLL] What top prize tickles your fancy? 🔴🔴 on: June 17, 2019, 06:42:40 PM
Why can't the prize be paid in BTC? better than all those luxury and fancy cars... those cars are just an additional cost to my life, they are expensive to have. I will have to work and earn money to keep those.

The real "luxury" in life, in my opinion, is not to have to work at all.
11045  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Newest Slot Games Released This June 2019 on: June 17, 2019, 01:35:48 PM
It´s always good to see new games coming out. It´s a growing ecosystem, and I am happy to see many new games.
However most of them are games for kids, as you can see by the graphics... I think this number 2 is not even a gambling game,..?

11047  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Worst Online Crypto Wallet Ever! [Poll] on: June 17, 2019, 10:25:50 AM
Popular wallets that you cannot fully control your funds and are at risk, well, except for blockchain.com and not sure for wallet.btc.com, never used them yet.

Blockchain.com wallet let you fully control your funds, as you have the private keys.
The problem is that as it is hosted in a server, other people may also be controlling them...
11048  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't join spam bounties. Easy money does not help you to (quickly) get rich! on: June 17, 2019, 10:22:07 AM
Many of the best posters wear a campaign signature as a means of passive income or play crypto, and the fact that they bear a signature does not cripple nor interfere with their ability to post.

I believe that good posters are just serious people in real life.
Wearing a signature that pays in BTC is an incentive to make even better posts, and spend more time in the forum (an in cryptocurrency subjects in general).

As wearing a signature these people can earn extra income, it is a nice incentive to keep posting, studying and helping new bitcoin users around the world. You are also helping serious projects, such as gambling, mixers, and other bitcoin related services. And you are also helping bitcointalk.org website, by contributing with good posts and helping users. I really see no problem.

Problems appears when managers are accepting spammers to their campaigns. Users that do not contribute to anything and are like parasites (as the managers who accepts them). Luckily, most of BTC paying campaigns are not managed by those people, and those spammers are mostly in altcoin related projects.

I received my merit stats from LoyceV a few days ago.
I have been distributing merit in many different boards, most of them in my local board (where it really lack merit sources, and most of the users are stagnant in their ranks since the introduction of the merit system).

I have merited users in 35 different boards, which I believe it is a very nice diversification.

I would like to see my stats as well please!

11051  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC and USDT - Address the same on: June 17, 2019, 09:44:21 AM
Hey thanks man! Which of the two would you recommend? coinomi or omni?

I just edited this to say, i read the other posts and seems the difference between thes is on if I want to pay BTC or eth miner fees. Which can only be decided by me. Double thanks. I will go buy some now- just to do it, so if there are any other major things to take care for please im all ears.

In coinomi you can choose Omni or ERC-20 token, as it support both of them.
Miner fee is not that relevant IMO.

THe problem of coinomi is that it is not open source.
Maybe using the ERC-20 token version you can find more good wallets, such as Ledger Nano.
11052  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Bought $950 of bitcoin, now this happens: on: June 16, 2019, 08:26:40 PM
Now if the transaction is still unconfirmed (which I doubt it's) you can try performing a double spend with higher fee to a new address of a different wallet on different device.

THat would definitely solve the issue and is the smartest solution, and the only way to get your coins back.
What a stupid hacker to use low fees to steal coins...

You should import your private key in a new device using higher fees, so you would be safe from the hacker.
11053  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Bitcoin Forks -How to Claim the most valueable ones with Coinomi(trusted wallet) on: June 16, 2019, 12:49:12 PM
If I move my old coins, it is the same as if I sell them to someone else, isn't it?
That would means that even if I have sold them, I still can get the new coins??
That is puzzling me...

Greetings!

THe fork is a snapshot (like a picture) of the blockchain in the date of the fork.

If you move your coins before the fork, your address will not have the new forked coins.

If you move after the fork it doens´t matter, as the snapshot was taken before you move the coin. In this case, your address will still have the balance of the forked coins.

You received the forked coin in the date of the fork, not after.
11054  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: New scam schema on the forum - Free Money To Test Casinos on: June 16, 2019, 12:20:22 PM
You can add coineplay.com to that list

11057  Economy / Scam Accusations / SCAM - coineplay.com on: June 16, 2019, 01:52:43 AM
Scam Accusation - coineplay.com

What happened::
Hello

This website: https://coineplay.com/ provides a unique opportunity to get free 18$ 0.0023 BTC

How do I get this bonus? Use this code: WJQOS in your personal profile ( https://coineplay.com/profile )

What can I do with this bonus? You can play a roulette game against other users of the site and win more, or you can instantly withdraw this bonus.

To withdraw do not need deposits and documents. On average, withdrawal takes no more than 1 hour.

What is the reason for the site to give me this bonus? This website is absolutely unique and has no analogues. This is not a casino. Players do not play against the site. The website has a unique roulette mode in which players play against other players, the website collects a commission for each roulette game and each withdrawal, 5% of this commission is paid by the website into promotional codes.

Attention! Read this. In the withdraw window, you need to enter the amount using a dot, for example in this format: "0.002" do not use a comma.

Well, as I received the bonus I decided to test the website.

I immediately tried to withdrawal the bonus. It was not allowed, I need to play one game at least.
I played and bet 0.0022 btc (the bonus). However, I won 0.0982 lol

Look at my balance, over a thousand dollars.

Then they said I can´t withdrawal now, because I need to first make a deposit of 0.01 btc!!!!

11058  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 16, 2019, 12:36:47 AM
I guess there will be two moments in which they will start covering Bitcoin again, one when it raises over $10K and big time when it breaks past ATH. Other than that it is not as much mainstream "news".

If it falls, there will be some kind of mainstream media. Usually bad news are more covered than good news.

Edit: My hat still not updated, wtf bitcointalk!

11060  Economy / Reputation / Re: Stake.com Signature Campaign - A new kind of future on: June 15, 2019, 06:43:21 PM
A lot of people are saying the pay rate shouldn't be the same for all members.
Have you considered the number of posts made in the past? If I wanted to join, you'd pay me the same for my main account as you'd pay for LoyceMobile, despite the fact that my main account has 24 times more posts, and thus displays the signature 24 times more.

I think the main reason to  pay more for higher ranks is that you can put real links in higher rank sigs (I think Jr and Member cant put links, just text, and for google this makes a difference). Higher ranks allows better visibility also.

I never thought much about number of posts. Do spammers have higher than normal number of posts?this could be an interesting statistic. I think more veteran users usually have a higher number of posts.
