11041  Local / Criptomoedas Alternativas / Re: MimbleWimble (Beam/Grin) pode desbancar o Bitcoin? on: January 18, 2019, 06:30:32 PM
Parece que o theymos apoia bastante essa moeda. Ele parece ser bem ativo no post da mesma e até disponibilizou a compra do Copper Member (e pagamendo da evil fees) com Grin no fórum.

grin is now accepted for forum payments
11042  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [ESHOP launched] Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: January 18, 2019, 06:20:26 PM
Are these newly created devices only expensive because of the precious metals used? It's stupid indeed.

Why waste this amount of money where you could buy a simple Trezor wallet and buy bitcoins with the rest If you're willing to buy such a thing.
If I was stupid rich because of Bitcoin, I would honestly buy it. Grin

It's a collector item created for rich people, and it's not only cool but offers more protection and durability for your wallet. If you are rich asf and want a cool exclusive item, it's ok. But there are obviously cheaper options like the Cryptosteel (a steel plate that stores your backup seed).
11043  Other / Meta / Re: Does anyone successful got unban your account with using banappeals option? on: January 18, 2019, 06:34:07 AM
He want to appologies to the moderator for the mistake he was made. no one in this forums wants to get banned so do with him, while his rank is full member and I've seen almost from  952 reply he was made is pure post, not copy paste.
It doesn't matter. Your "cousin" broke the rules and "he" won't be unbanned.

Trust me on this.
11044  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Using an offline designated MacBook as an offline wallet in 2019? Is it safe? on: January 18, 2019, 06:06:54 AM
If I have an older MacBook that I no longer use but that works great, and I have it reset to factory specs, then install a wallet on it, and use that computer as a "cold" wallet, with all wifi and wireless settings turned off, and only physically plug the laptop in when going online (20 minutes here and there) and unplugging it... could that be considered safe enough to be a secure place to store BTC or other crypto?
I would consider it safe enough, but it's not the ideal cold storage setup as soon as you connect to the internet even once.

I'm not talking about connecting to wifi now and then, I'm talking about ONLY plugging in the ethernet cable when going into the wallet and unplugging it when I'm finished.   If I have the spare laptop (can't sell it, it has sentimental value but I have a newer, faster one I use daily) would the experienced on here say that's a secure way to store coins?
If all you do after formatting your laptop is install the wallet and transact from time to time, without never opening any website or downloading any software, it's way more secure than just storing your coins in your everyday laptop/PC.
11045  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Yobit TUSD deposit - 12 days still not in my wallet on: January 18, 2019, 12:44:14 AM
I asked it also to Binance.
They wouldn't be able to tell.

And when you looked the name of the coin from https://yobit.net/en/coinsinfo  you see it is right.
That's not what I meant. TUSD is an Ethereum token, which means that its a token running over the Ethereum chain. This means that the address used to deposit TUSD is also an Ethereum address, so you could, for example, send ETH to that address; the same way, an Ethereum deposit address at Yobit can also receive TUSD or any other ETH token.

The problem is that the system only works to detect the token it was designed to detect. I can have 2 ETH addresses, one used to detect TUSD deposits, and the other to detect ETH. If I send the coin/token to the wrong address, it will be there but it won't be detected by the system.

If you are sure you really sent the TUSD to a TUSD deposit address, only Yobit can help you. If they want to scam you right now, they can; and unfortunately, there is nothing you can do other than wait/pray for that to be a legit mistake and for them to credit your account.

But if you actually got an ETH/other ERC20 token deposit address and mistakenly sent your TUSD to it, contact the support and tell what you did. Again, if they want to help you, they will.
11046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Yobit TUSD deposit - 12 days still not in my wallet on: January 18, 2019, 12:24:51 AM
Can you double-check if the address you sent to is a TUSD deposit address and not a regular ETH/other token deposit address by mistake?
11047  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Hodler wallet on: January 18, 2019, 12:23:04 AM
Do you have anything to do with that wallet? E.g: you are a dev, a friend of a dev, someone from the team, etc...

If you are, it's better if you just disclose it now.

I just checked your post history and looks like you talk A LOT about this wallet. So, you don't sound like a regular costumer "wanting to find out more" about the wallet.
11048  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: The Universal Exchange APIs on: January 17, 2019, 08:03:35 PM
I know you probably have good intentions, but you are breaking the rules by creating duplicate threads (3 so far) in multiple boards.

12. No duplicate posting in multiple boards (except for re-posting it in the local language boards if it's translated).

Keep one open and close the rest.
11049  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Accidentally Sent USDT to BTC wallet on: January 17, 2019, 05:42:43 PM
By reverse transaction I mean, If I send the BTC in my Zebpay wallet to my bittrex USDT account, will it show up as USDT?
Absolutely not. Don't do that or you will also lose your BTC. What he meant is that the transaction went over and you can't "cancel it" or "take it back"; What you need to do is ask Zebpay to recover your USDT and send them to your USDT wallet/deposit address.

They obviously don't want to give you the address private-keys, but they may be willing to manually get the USDT back to you. If they deny this, there is nothing you can do and your USDT are gone.
11050  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium wallet; "refresh" button vs. "reload account" on: January 17, 2019, 12:47:48 AM
IIRC, the refresh just checks for new transactions, so it just quickly "refreshes the balance", while the "reload account" option does a full reload and checks all your transactions again. It's like a soft vs hard refresh.
11051  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: idea.. You Think its GOOD? on: January 16, 2019, 07:23:00 PM
So, basically the same as ShapeShift, Changelly, Flyp.me, Coinswitch, etc...?

Unless you innovate and create something completely new and give way better rates than the competitors, I don't see your project gaining any traction.
11052  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Mudança no DefaultTrust do fórum on: January 16, 2019, 05:33:52 PM

11053  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Mudança no DefaultTrust do fórum on: January 16, 2019, 05:13:31 PM

11054  Other / Meta / Re: Account stolen on: January 16, 2019, 05:09:30 PM
Hello

the bjoern1978 is the hacked account. I cant login and someone else is using it.
Follow the instructions from the thread linked above: Recovering hacked/lost accounts
11055  Other / Meta / Re: Account recoveries are moving again on: January 16, 2019, 06:31:11 AM
has anyone been unlocked yet?
Go to Security log, press Ctrl + F and search for "manual recovery"; Every result is an hacked/lost account being recovered.
11056  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The cost of Copper Membership will raise considerably on: January 16, 2019, 04:36:14 AM
Thanks mate I never noticed it and since I'm a member ranked users, I don't have much interest in Copper membership but in the spirit of donating to the forum I might buy one at senior member rank.

Concerning your topic body, I believe you misused the code feature. The code feature should be used when you're giving out a code or formula etc (just like I'm about  doing) so use this instead
Code:
[quote]...paste your messages here.. [/quote]
You know that's not a rule, right? You can use it with whatever you want.

Also, the code-tag box just looks slicker than the quote one.
11057  Other / Meta / Re: Ban Appeal on: January 16, 2019, 03:52:03 AM
Where is the proof? Any valid proof that i am cheating or break some rules.
In case you haven't noticed yet: your account xandrie was banned in 2017.

The same day you made the "appeal" (03 November 2017), you created the account queennathalia. You kept using that account since them until you got banned today (from November 2017 to January 2018).

25. Ban evasion (using or creating accounts while one of your accounts is banned) is not allowed.[e]

Don't act like you're innocent. You are just a cheater who only cares about your bounty money.
11058  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The cost of Copper Membership will raise considerably on: January 16, 2019, 03:42:59 AM
Here is the reason why the price will be increasing:

Has anything been written anywhere about the reasons for this? I can't imagine it's a money making measure. I also can't imagine it's going to deter the people who aren't already deterred by it.

It's just that I last changed the price when the BTC/USD price was $12k, so it's drifted from the intended value. Evil fees will also be updated.

The price will be fixed in bitcoins so imagine what will happen when we enter a bull market again.

Then I'll (eventually) adjust it downward again. I like to keep the BTC-denominated price pretty stable and not change it every time the market freaks out in either direction, but it's supposed to have a vaguely consistent real value.

The evil fees (small fee which enables posting for those registered in blacklisted/banned IPs) will also increase in price.
11059  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin price prediction website is live on: January 16, 2019, 12:11:56 AM
So, why would anyone send you money to vote in your website's price prediction?

It's not any kind of gambling after all. There isn't any kind of return to the user.
11060  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How Do You Monetize A Site Like This? on: January 16, 2019, 12:07:53 AM
I don't think paid reviews are all bad. There is only a major problem with that when you are totally biased on someone's project because they paid you (e.g: they are a scam/liars and you agree to say a bunch of good stuff about them in your article).

If all you do is a (really) honest review, I don't see anything wrong on accepting money to review it or feature the article in the top of the website (p.s: don't forget to make it clear that you got paid for that).
