11101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many addresses do you think the average bitcoin user has? on: August 06, 2014, 02:51:22 PM
Wow, seems like everyone is in the 100+ range for the most part. For anyone asking about security issues from only using a few addresses- you should really only use 1 address per transaction. You don't want other people to have the ability to snoop around and see all of your funds moving around. I'm honestly suprised one of the millions of coins that have been created hasn't come up with a logical way to deal with the security issue of re-using addresses

I agree with you.
For the security purpose it seems like very wise idea to do.
It's not problem to create many Bitcoin addresses but for some people this will not be convenient.
11102  Other / Off-topic / Re: Help on: August 06, 2014, 12:57:06 PM
I'm having very serious family issues and my brain is in brooding mode.

I don't want to type down a boring book long post about my situation.

What are some of the things you do when you just can't take it. I'm going to distract myself trying to do fun things. Listening to songs and relaxing until I can sleep. I can't even talk to my best friend right now, I told her that I need some time and that for all intents and purposes I'm unavailable, which is true, brooding may just be part of life in the modern world.

Very sorry to read this.
I can imagine how difficult is this situation for you but please, believe me, unresolved issues will never allow you to relax and move on with your life.
It's always hard to make hard decisions but you deserve better, to open new page in the book and move on, either with the same people or new one Smiley
11103  Other / Off-topic / Re: I am not a speculator. This is why I keep most of my monthly savings in bitcoin. on: August 06, 2014, 12:42:14 PM
I know my BTC is worth something. If a thousand people who grew up under authoritarianism think like me, then BTC is worth billions. This is not considering BTC as a medium of exchange, as an investment in a portfolio.

This is good choice if you don't need to spend this Bitcoin for your living expenses.
Otherwise, you have to spend some Smiley
This is my case.
11104  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Federalization : Good for Ukraine but bad for Siberia on: August 06, 2014, 12:33:33 PM
Russia is already a federation Smiley

Yes, true but with very centralized federation.
All main decisions coming from Moscow.
In Ukraine case this may be good solution to reconcile Russians in the east with the Ukrainians in the rest of country but it's question if they can agree what kind of federation (or how much Russians in Ukraine want to be connected with the Kiev) they want.
11105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Precious Metals on: August 06, 2014, 11:37:50 AM
In the time of crisis in the past gold always was safe solution for investors, because usually at such time his value increase.
It's still question what will be value of Bitcoin at such time.
Of course we all hope and wish that everybody choose Bitcoin as main alternative to paper currencies, new replacment for dollar, but this is still not the case.
11106  Other / Off-topic / Re: What football (soccer) team do you support??? on: August 06, 2014, 11:24:22 AM
Real Madrid because of Modric.
Barcelona because of Rakitic and Halilovic.
Atletico Madrid because of Mandjukic.
I lost interest in national league and now just watching teams with Croatian players plus Croatian national team, of course Smiley
11107  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Strong democracy or strong constitution ? on: August 06, 2014, 11:14:11 AM
Why do you think that this 2 terms are separated and that we have to choose between them?
Demos in Greek language is people, so democracy means that people rule the country through elected political representatives.
This representatives, in the name of the people, create constitution and lead the nation.
I don't think that is today's modern and complex society is possible something like ''direct democracy'' where people directly rule, without representatives.
This is to idealistic view but will never happen.
So, we will always choose representatives who will lead the country and people, and based on their political agenda, they will create constitution but for average people other lows like labor low, financial regulations, economy are more important in everyday life than constitution.

Have you even heard about Switzerland ?

Yes, I heard about Switzerland and I know what you mean.
People there have right to ask for national referendum about any issue in their lives, but still they need their political Representatives, parliament, government etc.
11108  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Bitcoin be Blamed for the Coming Economic Collapse? on: August 06, 2014, 10:58:11 AM
Your prediction can happen or not, it's not exact science and many things can change over time depend of political decisions, new financial rules etc.
Your scenario is worst possible but I still think that such global financial collapse can be avoided, if right decisions will be made in time.
Even if your (worst possible) scenario happen, still some countries (BRICS) with a lot resources will be less affected and maybe some other currency may replace dollar as global currency for trade.
Bitcoin can stay as main alternative currency for longer time that we wish because nobody can control Bitcoin and this is something world politicians and bank officers don't like much Smiley
11109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I got my mother to buy 15 bitcoins over the past year. Have you done similar? on: August 06, 2014, 10:45:32 AM
You did very well, congratulation Smiley
My mother is very old and never used computer so I don't think she will ever buy any Bitcoin.
In my case, more realistic goal is to introduce Bitcoin to my friends and relatives and I will try my best Smiley
11110  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Alex Jones is pro-BTC, says his store will begin to accept as payment... on: August 05, 2014, 07:45:20 PM
Great news!
Another step to global acceptance of Bitcoin.
It's still slow process but we are getting there Smiley
11111  Other / Off-topic / Re: Share some nice photos here on: August 05, 2014, 07:41:06 PM
What kind of bird is that?

I have one like this in a nest right in front of my window

OK, well, I'm not expert for birds but I think this is turtledove.
I just couldn't resist when I sew such great opportunity for nice photo, just next to my window Smiley
Please share more nice photos here!
11112  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Rich Koreans Withdrawing Huge Amounts of Won from Banks on: August 05, 2014, 07:32:30 PM
This is interesting news and soon this will happen to other countries to because ''Big brother'' from USA want to know everything, how much money we have, what we look on Internet, messages we writes in email...
Is Bitcoin solution for this people?
I really can see that Bitcoin will give so needed protection and security for average people in the world regarding finance in the near future Smiley
11113  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is it okay to accept a .jpg file over skype? on: August 05, 2014, 07:20:04 PM
Viruses usually comes from unknown senders, emails or files format.
If you received this file from person you know, send him private message and check if he send you this file or not.
11114  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Westerners don't know jack, but think they know everything on: August 05, 2014, 07:13:17 PM
I have some Filipino friends and it's true that they are very religious and have different viewpoint of life than western people.
It's different culture and tradition completely but what is the most sad point for me, they are very poor, living in very bad conditions...
11115  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: My wallet on blockchain.info hacked even by e-mail comfirmation code !!!!!! on: August 05, 2014, 06:43:15 PM
hello all ,

I'm very surprise

I can't say anything but my wallet hacked even when i 've use 2FA including email confirmation code !!!

And i surprise that there was no click on confirmation code in my email !!!!!!

Very very intersting bussiness

Please use offline wallet and say goodbye to blockchain

I have to confess when I read this I also start to worry.
I was thinking that blockchain is safe with they added security- email code and 2FA  but it seems that there is no 100 % protection on Internet.
Maybe better you use offline wallets from now on?
Regarding this hacking accident do you use shared computer?
In public places?
Or in your household more people use the same computer?
11116  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Ayaan Hirsi Ali: Netanyahu “Should Get Nobel Peace Prize” For Defending Israel on: August 04, 2014, 07:43:37 PM
She is maybe right from Israel viewpoint but not from Palestinian's viewpoint.
Real question here is it's correct to kill 100 innocent people in order to kill one terrorist?
For Israel obvious answer is yes but for all others answer is NO.

11117  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Gmail users watch out, Google is reading (or scanning) your mail on: August 04, 2014, 07:01:00 PM
I guess that Google have some kind of message filter and when they catch suspicious words like child pornography, they act accordingly to the low and regulations.
I think that benefit of this is greater than possible damage because child pornography is real issue in today's society and must be stopped.
11118  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: what‘s wrong with twitter? on: August 04, 2014, 06:55:58 PM
I think they're blocking Bitcoin related links. Try some mundane link.

EDIT: I just confirmed my theory: Tiger Woods mmmkay. Bitcoin no mmmkay.

If that is true, it leaves a very bad taste.... Undecided

I don't use twitter, but I think it is not unrealistic to assume that governments try to influence public opinion at services like twitter through censorship and content manipulation. We don't know if twitter is forced to do this or if they are doing it proactively.

I really hope that this is not true.
Twitter is not government agency but independent company in free market.
If government can press companies over such issues, this is not good at all.
11119  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Just For Fun: Boy, age 4, has mark of the DEVIL on his chest on: August 04, 2014, 06:52:10 PM
Well this is like in the movie Omen.
Hopefully, this boy will not become another Antichrist Smiley
Just kidding but I think that we should leave this kid alone.
11120  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Would you continue using bitcoin if your country banned it completely? on: August 04, 2014, 06:48:29 PM
Would you continue using Bitcoin if your country banned it completely?
I really don't see how my country can stop me to use Bitcoin.
They don't have control over Internet and of course they don't have control over Bitcoin Smiley
