11161  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pacquiao VS Horn (Boxing) on: July 05, 2017, 11:02:49 AM
Our Filipino Champs got robbed in his fight with Jeff Horn.... The face of Horn will tell you the who's the real winner.

Manny should have expected that. He has a very long career in boxing and he should know that some things might not go well. He had fights with dirty boxer and did he think that complaining inside the ring will make him win? It's the opponents' gameplan because Manny is very hard to knockout so that's why they need to go dirty in order to defeat him.

The only thing I love about Manny Pacquiao is his sportsmanship. Even though he knew that he has the advantage in that match, He still accepts the defeat without bad feelings or complains. But as a fan, I feel that the result is not fair considering that the statistics released by ESPN are in favor to Pacman and one of the blind judge scores 117-11 in favor to horn. Horn also was been knocked down and almost finish at round 9.

Manny said to an interview in the Philippines, that he has no bad feelings after the result to that match. He said he is in boxing for long time and the result was not new to him, but what is his concern was the referee which he said who doesnt have the knowledge to do his job.

The Philippines Games and Amusement board has filed a protest against the result of the boxing match between the two. I think  the result will not be overturn although they can have a rematch. But for me its time for Pacquiao to really retire for good. He is getting old and we must admit he is not the same Pacquiao that we know of. At least retire while you are on top and still in shape.
11162  Economy / Speculation / Re: I have been waiting for Bitcoin to reach $3000 on: July 05, 2017, 10:06:37 AM
It touched that level some time last month or May, I am not sure but it did reached 3003 in bitfinex. And in bitstamp is was 2980$. Why op did not sell that time? But do not worry op, there will be another chance. Maybe even higher than 3K when everything settles after August 1.

Not only him missed the chance of selling but even I, I forgot to sell by that time because I thought that increase was positive and it will take longer but I was wrong. And today I learned that I don't have to speculate more because it is going to put me in regret again if I miss another positive wave.

LOL dude. I guess a lot of us missed the $3000 price because it just touches that price for a few hours before the dumping started. I guess its really a psychological barrier for most of us traders or investors. When we see that it hit the price, we cant really stop ourselves to sell. Maybe this is why most of us are waiting for the price to touch it again, so can we can sell and get huge profit. But it will take more time to reach the price again though. maybe when everything is settle down after Aug 1.
11163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Confirmation became really fast, what has happened? on: July 05, 2017, 09:35:55 AM
I haven't done any transaction for a while so I can't say that the confirmation time has become faster. But from what I understand, its about a few weeks ago that the network spammer has suddenly stop causing the network to unclogged as a result we experience the faster confirmation time now. And I can only speculate that maybe the network spammer thought that's is not worth to really do damaged as he/they can't really hold people getting into bitcoin.
11164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] DDF - Digital Developers Fund: Profit From Digital Assets on: July 04, 2017, 02:54:55 PM
Digital Assets

Domain names and crypto currencies have high barriers to entry and risks due to lack of regulations, technical hurdles and lack of investment instruments.

Can you please elaborate more on this?

I've been in the website flippening before and I don't see any barriers along the way. I just buy a attracted domain names and sell for more. But I'm not sure that barriers they are facing. Thanks.

That is a great question.

It looks on the first glance that domain name investing has one of the lowest barriers of all investments. Hey, a .com is $10 or less!

There are hundreds of thousands, probably millions of people, who tried their luck. A forum like NamePros alone has nearly 1 million members.

But for most people buying a domain for resale is like buying a lottery ticket. The truth is that a very small minority do this professionally. There are probably less than 500 full-time professional domain investors worldwide.

Most people are not very good in recognizing what makes a great domain. They fall in love with a word and think that is the greatest name on earth and must be worth millions. But as the years go by, no-one agrees, and they continue to sit on their name.

It takes analytical skills, experience and tools to identify good names at scale. Even in a good portfolio, sell-through rates are below 5% yearly. Therefore it also takes significant funds if you want to make a business out of domain investing.

This is with .com. Things gets even more complicated if you start looking at ccTLDs or new gTLDs. They have different legal and technical requirements, different price, different languages, etc.

So tldr, low barriers to entry, high barriers to success!

This makes sense. Thanks for the explanation. Although, I have been in domain flippening/buying before (I just sold a couple), I totally give up because of other reasons. Yes, I totally agree that it is very hard to be successful and its not easy as its sound. Specially the .com domains. Hah, I even know someone who just buy everything with a .com but didn't even make a good profit from it.They think that getting a .com will be lucrative but its not.
11165  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell Bitcoin ahead of 1st Aug Hard Fork on: July 03, 2017, 10:56:05 PM
I'm not selling my bitcoin because i know that bitcoin will increase and get more bigger than before we have different options like me if you're wise you won't sell bitcoin because you know how bitcoin works even the richest people in earth wouldn't take of mind of selling their bitcoins because they already invested and they're just waiting for the right time .

Yes. Selling bitcoin prior to Aug 1 is not a option because I really don't think that bitcoin will dive after that. If the price goes down, then the more time to hold on it. Why people are still questioning bitcoin's resiliency? It has already proven from the past that it can recover and rebound more from the previous price. Do you want to miss the boat when the price goes high? So hold, hold and hold is the best option for most of us.
11166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: July 03, 2017, 10:22:17 PM
I don't think ripple is going anywhere in long run.
I think people bough ripple in bubble and they are holding it and hoping price will go up - which i honestly believe it won't

Bullshit, I bought most of my xrp at $0.005.. your just feeling stupid you didn't.

LOL. XRP is going green currently. Its still not to late to join the bandwagon or not. I respect your opinion but just keep it to yourself bro. As for me, the price will really soar up in the next coming months. And for those holding, I urge you to have patience because I speculate that the price will really go to the moon.
11167  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC will up. dont worrry on: July 03, 2017, 09:32:34 PM
Of course it will rise again. I have no doubt about that. Since November 2015, each time it rose, the price stayed, but it needed some time to stay at this price. So we might have to wait a year before seeing any upper movement, but that is normal, no worry.
You have given a longer time for the wait but in actual the price of bitcoin do not stay stable for longer but it stay at a stable price for a month or two and then again it start to increase its price and then this situation of price increase continue faster for a few months.

Yes. The price will never be stable. Maybe a few corrections here and there, but stable price? I doubt it. And once price correction happens, the next thing that should happen is an increase in price. But yeah, a year to wait before seeing a upper price movement is too long. Every month we are seeing a good price increase not a year.
11168  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: btc crash now = TOP buying opportunity ? on: July 03, 2017, 08:35:35 PM
Today price of bitcoin is 2500 dollars and I believe before end of this year 2017 maybe price around 4000-5000 dollars each. So its better to buy bitcoin now because I believe the price of bitcoin in this month of july around 3000-3500 dollars so hurry up. Invest your money in bitcoin and for sure your money will grow but dont invest all your money . Invest only you can afford to lose. To prevent losing all your money.

I'm with you with the $4000-$5000 at the end of year. For me it will be possible because their are investors that are holding back their investment in bitcoin. They are waiting for the Segwit2x activation, and once the dust has settled, more investors are going to put cash on the bitcoin ecosystem. Pushing the price to $4000-$5000 in December or early 2018. So its better to get bitcoin while the price is still low.
11169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Outcome of Horn vs. Pacquiao on: July 03, 2017, 07:41:07 PM
I'm so disappointed about the decision that been made I clearly seen that pacquiao really won the fight the punches that have been thrown was solid to horn and also horn almost been knock out but i don't know what just happen even the best boxing analyst knows and been shock about the decision. it's so unfair that pacman just got robbed again lol.

Yes pacman ought to have realized that these guys don't play fairly especially if you're past your prime and should have ceased the opportunity to knock him out when he had the chance, it's sad these poor decisions are starting to marr his excellent career and if I was him I will consider retirement.

Its clearly a robbery for me. I was also disappointed with the results. Other people who has seen the fight says the same. I guess its time for Manny to retire now and just go back being a Philippine Senator. Nothing to prove anymore. He has already cemented his legacy and don't want to be tainted it.He has a lot of money back in the Philippines so there no more need to fight another guy. Just hang his gloves and call it a day.
11170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [BREAKING NEWS]: South Korea to Legalize Bitcoin!!!! on: July 03, 2017, 06:47:38 PM
After massive bitcoin trading activity in South Korea to the point where bitcoin price in South Korea exchange is higher than other exchange, it's no surprise South Korea government will take action.
As usual, it's good to see certain country legalize bitcoin, but i'm not very happy since all cryptocurrency users will be watched by government (no problem for investor though).

Correct. Trading volumes in South Korea is very high and their was a time the their is 100$ more premium bitcoin in their exchanges. So its no surprise that they are heading to legalization of it in their country. This will bring a positive news to the crypto market specially bitcoin. Let's observe how this pans out.

11173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pacquiao VS Horn (Boxing) on: June 29, 2017, 10:31:07 PM
I saw some footage of Horn doing a public workout. This kid looks good and nice. And even taking pictures of some of his fans. However, even Australians are picking Pacquiao to win the fight because they believe that Horn is still young and not yet in the level of Manny. I still will go to Manny to win.
11174  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: btc crossing 3,000 $ today ? on: June 29, 2017, 09:34:13 PM
Currently the price is pretty low, a perfect time to buy if you're planning short-term trading.

The price should bounce back to $2800 very soon. But I'm not seeing $3000 anytime soon.
Currently it is still around $2500 USD.People are making false news against bitcoin it is going down on 1 August which is 100% false news. But I am pretty sure and seeing that bitcoin will touch easily $3000 USD in this month or in the next. Now for bitcoin it is very challenging competition.

Yes, the uncertainty on Aug 1 really putting a lot of fear on a lot of investors. That is why we have been seeing a price correction like every week and will likely continue until the said date. But I'm not worry though, $3000 will be hit in the coming months.
11175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mayweather Vs McGregor: Info and prediction thread on: June 29, 2017, 08:40:54 PM
Conor brought in Manny Pacquiao's sparring partner Dashon Johnson to prepare him for the Floyd fight.

https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/3890583/conor-mcgregor-vs-floyd-mayweather-dashon-johnson/

People underestimate Conor and what he's capable of. If Floyd makes that mistake he could regret it.

Wow. Connor Mcgregor is really taking this seriously guys. I think its all for the money and glory. He is making this fight very competitive eventhough this is a boxing match and give Floyd alot of disadvantage. I will follow every news about this fight before making a bet. But by the looks of it, I give Connor a chance to beat Floyd.
11176  Bitcoin / Press / [2017-06-29]Is the New Ransomware Demanding Bitcoin More Dangerous Than WannaCry on: June 29, 2017, 07:30:40 PM
Is the New Ransomware Demanding Bitcoin More Dangerous Than WannaCry?

Last months the ransomware software Wanna Cry attacked 200,000 victims in at least 150 countries worldwide and a huge fuss was made of the capability of hackers to use Bitcoin in illegal actions. Now, a new ransomware comes on stage.

A new virus-encryptor began its attacks on Tuesday in Ukraine. The virus blocks computers and demands a ransom of $300 in Bitcoins like WannaCry did. According to reports, by Wednesday the Bitcoin wallet, which was given by ransomware for the transfer of funds, had received nine transfers.

11177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What will Viacoin price be when Segwit support announced? on: June 29, 2017, 06:46:00 PM
36 hours tops and it will be public.

Hope you are right!

Yeah. I hope you sir are correct. I'm joining the bandwagon just now. I believed that the price can get to ATH when Segwit support is announced. Because I'm been observing and watching this coin for a while and its seems that its a correct decision to invest on it. The countdown begins..
11178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proof that Crime isn't Why they Hate Bitcoin. on: June 29, 2017, 06:25:07 PM
Actually, bitcoin isn't best asset, currency or commodity to be used as crime tool because bitcoin nature is pseudonymous where anyone can track your bitcoin movement as long as they know your bitcoin addresses, unless you use trusted bitcoin mixer. Furthermore, government could compare bitcoin movement/addresses with regulated bitcoin services and know the owner of the bitcoin.
Those people who critic bitcoin either don't know how bitcoin works, hates bitcoin or both of them.

Exactly. they thought they can get away with crimes using bitcoin. But they don't know that bitcoin is pseudo anonymous. And it a government agency wants to track you it will be easy because its like following a paper trail. So you can't get away with it. You will see a lot of news people being tracked by their bitcoin address.
11179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why I suddenly decided to leave gambling alone. on: June 29, 2017, 12:46:50 PM
I've had good moments and bad moments in my life, but the worst moments is when I spent the entire day gambling and focusing only to winning money for this or that.
I'm tired, seriously, to win big and then fall in more deep "debt" because of greediness. I can't afford to have such experiences anymore, it makes me sad the fact that instead of saving those money I preferred to spend them on a gambling site, I was like oh ok it's just x, so If i can lose it it's ok, oh it's just a faucet, it's ok if I lose it. But when If even with the faucet I reach like 0.06 or more, and then I lose them it's still a touch to the heart, that makes you say if I start back with this amount I can magically make it 0.6, yes probably, cause I did that in the past, as my far record is been from 0.001 to 1.6 btc in 3 hours with roulette, but let's not dig that.

I prefer spending the money on what are my necessities now, than see my wallet drop in amount. Every single f*** time, every time I had the chance to buy btc, or doge whatever, I ended up expecting to win big.
EVEN if I win big, I repeat that, I waste the money afterward, because I think it's a good idea to bet bigger now if my budget supports it, and there it goes down the hole.

Why I decided to leave gambling anyway? I saw how rapidly I was going down in the past few days, and like an hot potato to keep sinking my butt on the wallet. I'm tired of that. I better move my butt and find something that used to keep me busy, like programming, I love programming. But then I got stressed and I started to gamble.

I hope you all understand. All my friends I made in these years on the gambling sites, thank you everyone for your support of my strong decision.
Thanks everyone.

Most gamblers do this same mistake and that's because they don't think they were just once lucky, but they think they know now how to win with gambling every time they play. You've made the right decision, just stick to it no matter what others say.

I respect your decision to quit and I hope many on this forum in similar situations would look for a better way out and learn from you and this thread

I respect the OP's decision to quit too. Hopefully he will stand by his word, because many gambling addicts just say the words but never actually quit. I really wish OP had serious intentions when he was writing his post and I wish he will have strength to abstain from gambling in the future.

i hope so like you because to quit from gambling is really hard and we need more power in our mind to leave gambling. once we can leave the gambling, we need to search another thing so our mind will stop thinking about gambling anymore. and if we can really quit from gambling, then we can start a new life without spend our money for playing gambling only.

True. To keep your mind busy with something else is a great idea. I think even video gaming can help some people and reading books or watching interesting movies can help others.

Diversifying attention is one of the best way to keep ourselves from gambling.  If we occupy our selves with works and keep busy, we will skip gambling and eventually forget about it.  We can also save money to repair the damage done by uncontrolled gambling and we can be able to rebuild our lost self esteem and respect once again.  It may take time but eventually all bad things that had been done will be forgotten and we will start as a new being far from being addicted to gambling.

This happens in the best case scenario, but unfortunately, as I personally heard from some gambling addicts, they think about gambling even when in a retaurant, or in a movie theater, or when going to sleep. An activity should be really interesting to distract an addict from gambling.

I know now some gambling addicts that really live and breath gambling. Its like its already in their bloodstream and all they talk is gambling. I think this kind of person would have difficulty in getting out of the gambling world. I don't know what will make this guys quit for good.
11180  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would you give bitcoin as a wedding gift? on: June 28, 2017, 09:02:22 AM
I don't think its wise to give bitcoin as a wedding gift, IMHO. Specially if the couples don't know about bitcoin in the first place. I think the best option is to give them fiat instead.  Or maybe give some things that they can value specially they are starting from scratch. like a TV or some appliances.
