GW5 was a disaster for many of us so that makes our free bet winner - ralle14 - even more impressive Smiley

To get 75 pints in a week like this is very respectable. Gross, Douglas Luis and Vincius are all very low ownership and players I wouldn't have in my tem personally but I had just over 40 points while ralle14 smashed it. Congrats man.
Thanks, and I guess holding my transfer plans and luck paid off big time.

After a disaster GW3, I wanted to make some changes, but I decided to let it play out for now then this happened. Last month I was sitting at the near bottom of the group and now i'm suddenly within the top 10.  Shocked

I'm okay waiting for the free bet next week and there are always matches to bet on anyway.  Smiley

That 4th goal from Bayern made me miss out on my first point, but it's fine since my bet on Bayern was also in danger when Man United almost forced a draw in the last few minutes of the match.  Grin

I'm 2-0 up in my duel, we have 3 different answers until the end. Team World win or Ajax's failure to win tomorrow brings me a huge victory. Won't open the champagne yet though..
It'll be a quick round for both of us at this point and my answer for the Dota question isn't looking good as well due to both teams facing each other later today.  Embarrassed

I've placed a bit more stake on both the Bayern Munich specials. These two should hit since Bayern Munich is playing at home, Kane is scoring in almost every Bundesliga match they've played and Man United hasn't performed as well recently.

The only part I don't like about today's bet is that almost everyone is on Bayern Munich (including myself).  Tongue

I came across this article today and felt the need to share it.

https://www.barstoolsports.com/blog/3484951/a-buffalo-bills-fan-was-found-naked-in-a-hole-covered-in-human-excrement-near-bills-stadium-during-their-home-opener-sunday

It was titled: A Buffalo Bills Fan Was "Found Naked, In A Hole, Covered In Human Excrement" Near Bills Stadium During Their Home Opener Sunday

I initially thought it was going to be a crazy story about rival fans, but it was actually far more entertaining.
I thought he lost a bet with his friend and did those things to himself. The consecutive tweets made it entertaining for me as I assumed the hole he got trapped in wasn't that deep.

He's lucky it's only a minor injury, and when I heard he's at a construction site, it made me recall the death scenes from the movie Final Destination.  Tongue

I finally got a winning bet but I still can't get a read on these teams.

For the final day of the group stage, i'm going with the teams that need to win at least one map and hope they give their all to win the first map. The 2-0 felt like a trap because you can't count out the underdogs when the favorites could take the next game less seriously after they secure their spot in the playoffs.

As expected, GG always seems to be losing on the first one or two days then somehow make it up on top before the group stage ended. Totally love that some teams are trying to play with different players so we can really expect some roster changes on TI for sure if that works out in their favour. CIS teams are pretty good on group stage for some reason but I doubt that any of them would win this tournament
The group stage gave GG a lot of room to experiment and this should be their third time playing in the lower brackets this year, assuming they win their final series later today.

Newcastle proved me wrong and ruined my stakes on Milan. I expected them to concede at least a goal, but their GK showed up. On the bright side, I still got something since I had some stakes on PSG and they delivered a win in the end.

If only Lazio didn't hit that goal in the end, I would've gained double digits for the Superbru group.  Tongue

That last-minute change for me backfired as I initially had both to start locked in and then changed it to only Foden starting.  Tongue I'll need some help from Bayern Munich and Man United tomorrow to equalize things.

And my predictions for the first round of questions on the Newcastle contest went so poorly that I only got one point.  Lips sealed

MNF had the Saints winning their match by the same scoreline while the Browns fell to the Steelers.
I was hoping Cleveland would of won that matchup but it was a close one of only 4 points.
The Saints vs. Panthers match made me sweat during the fourth quarter since I had the under 38 as my live bet and it barely hit by a point.  Cheesy

I also thought the Browns should've won their match against the Steelers, but all it took was an unlucky fumble in the fourth quarter and the Steelers defense took that opportunity for a defensive TD.

All of my entries for the first round are ready to go but I still haven't locked my predictions on the Superbru side. For the odds-based side, I used all my stakes on three favorites. Initially, I planned to stake more than three but the odds made me think it's better to pick less. Smiley

Also, i'm looking forward to the exclusive UCL sportsbook specials once it's ready to be announced.

0/3 on the first day after more than half of the games today went 2-0 and the draws came in late.  Tongue

I thought of switching it up and focusing on betting against the teams that struggled yesterday.

So I took another bet because I feel like winning after getting my hit on Tundra. OG seems like a better team now and GG lost their 1st game so I thought that they might be able to get a draw against GG
That's a great hit on the draw and it looks like GG is on a bad start while the CIS teams are taking the lead in both groups.
1132  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Free spins are also a demo in disguise? on: September 19, 2023, 12:07:58 AM
The bonus free spins they offer from the start shouldn't feel like a demo when you have a chance of winning money, but clearing the bonus is difficult because even if you triple your bankroll, you still need to keep going until you hit the wagering requirement.

On top of that, some bonuses even have a rule about a maximum win and take away the extra amount if you go over the limit. This is one of the many reasons I always avoid free spins because it's much harder to win and the good ones usually have a one-time wagering requirement.

Do you agree or disagree?
I also do the same thing, and it's an effective solution to break the pattern if you can make plans for yourself, so I agree. Sometimes it's not about the money, they could be unaware of how terrible their decision can be until they start losing all the money in their account. They'll assume it's easy to win back what they lost, but that's only the if part, it's never guaranteed unless you're playing with promotions that could secure you some profits. It usually goes the other way because they overestimate their luck and dig themself into a deeper hole.
1135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: September 18, 2023, 03:02:44 AM
It's interesting to see BetBoom become the slight underdog heading into DreamLeague and i'm thinking of putting up a good parlay together with the other underdogs. But it's probably better when we're on the second or third day of the groups once we get to see the performance level of each team.

For now, i'll go back to the draw strategy since this is the usual script in the group stages during the last two seasons of drawleague plus the Riyadh Masters. Cheesy

1136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NFL Sportsbet.io discussion & predications thread rev on: September 18, 2023, 02:17:52 AM
The rams choosing to kick a field goal when they were down by 10 as time expires to close the -7.5 spread against the San Francisco 49ers is a level of petty you don’t usually see in professional sports. I’m here for it and glad the Rams were looking out for their fan base. A lot of gamblers were feeling emotions watching that play call I’m sure.
I'm glad I stayed away from that game and i've been seeing some bettors being frustrated about the Rams taking the FG in the end.

I only watched the Giants game earlier and they had a solid second-half performance to complete the comeback win against the Cardinals, as they were down by more than 20 in the first half.

My SNF bet on the Dolphins to cover is looking great, and hopefully, they can keep the lead rolling in the second half.  Wink

1137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Experience for new and old gambler? on: September 18, 2023, 01:43:34 AM
I would say there's not much of a difference when it comes to overall gameplay. On the other hand, a few of them should offer a different experience because it's feasible. For example, physical casinos could reward you differently (food, drinks, etc.), while in online casinos, the rewards you get are always money.

In gambling addiction, online gambling is probably the hardest to stop because it's too easy to get in and go back whenever you like. Also, it only takes a few minutes to browse an online casino and create a gambling account.

The fight for the top 5 will be tight and I appreciate the small support.  Grin The worst thing would be a loss as I usually struggle to secure points (2/6) when facing opponents higher than my position in the standings but we'll see if i'm due for a win.

Also, the Dota question relies a lot on luck. It's a toss-up even if you know every team participating, and you'll never know which teams from each group would take this tournament more seriously.

So basically they are dropping this and it seems we will have alot more offline events huh. Basically DPC reached it peak when everyone was staying at home due to covid and it just make sense now that they are droppin this to encourage alot more organizer to host their very own offline tournament. This actually seems pretty exciting though and when I read your post, I thought they will be dropping TI 2024 as well but phew glad that they didnt

Tongue Well I guess it is what it is
At the same time, it feels like Valve now wants to rely on the organizers, but I wonder how many of them will stay because i've heard organizers don't make anything from hosting Dota tournaments unless they get a bit of help from Valve or have a solid backing like the ESL.

I also want to take TSM after their clean and quick series win against BC, but i'll go with Team Secret. I still think Puppey and Sumail will take care of TSM for the third time and have a rematch against GG in the finals.
