11221  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: April 19, 2017, 05:30:08 AM
There is no hope for the Boston Celtics, they lose 2 games in a row and at home, they are the number 1 in the east and it should be a big upset if they will even be sweep by the bulls. I will say now, this  team is a fraud, they cannot even beat the inconsistent Bulls, I'm tired of watching them, I'm discourage actually, not a fan anymore.

Can we say that they are choking this playoffs?

And now they are more pressure to win in Chicago's home court. Can they overcome a 2 game deficit? Of course, can they do it, remains to be seen. I think the more experienced Bulls are proving what's their worth in this kind of games specially D'Wade. If my memory serves me right, during the 1998-1999 playoffs, New York Knicks (8th seed) defeated the no. 1 seed then, the Miami Heat. Then they went up to the Finals but was defeated by the eventual champion San Antonio Spurs.

History was already made by Russell Westbrook. Maybe Chicago will add up another history if they go and win the NBA trophy this year. Just sayin.  Grin
11222  Other / Politics & Society / Re: NASA: Nearby ocean worlds could be best bet for life beyond Earth on: April 19, 2017, 04:35:53 AM
NASA has new evidence that the most likely places to find life beyond Earth are Jupiter's moon Europa or Saturn's moon Enceladus. In terms of potential habitability, Enceladus particularly has almost all of the key ingredients for life as we know it, researchers said.

Still not conclusive to me. Although its looks promising at the scientist point of view, living out there is not easy as it sounds. It would take more than 20 years or more of scientific study and experiment before they can declare without a doubt that a human species that live and habituate in that kind of environment. Sadly to say, we might not see that in our life time. Maybe they should try like to bring a chimp to see if they can live there  Grin.
11223  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-04-18] Bitcoin Price Keeps Above $1200 as Traders Start Fleeing Bitfininex on: April 19, 2017, 03:14:33 AM
This is the time for major exchanges to do their best to attract large players that were operating on Bitfinex and are now looking for another exchange to settle in. Bitstamp, Kraken, GDAX (Coinbase), BTC-E, are all very decent alternatives. I personally use Bitstamp as my main exchange, and in a lower frequency BTC-E. Sure, Bitfinex has the best level of liquidity from all exchanges, but that's not worth anything when the exchange in question can't be trusted.

I totally agree with you. I never used bitfinex except for tracking the market price of bitcoin and other alt-coins. I'm sure that a lot of traders are on a exodus right now. Looking for better alternatives. I guess it all depends on if you want leverage. If you want to then stay with them but if not then look for other trusted sites. Another option I think is spreading your investment around different exchanges so that you can mitigate risk if something happen (like bitfinex hacked).
11224  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Excuses on: April 18, 2017, 12:21:01 PM
Did you ever gamble with other's money to pay your own debts or otherwise to solve a certain problem through gambling?

I have certainly never took out a loan to gamble to cover up for more debt, however I have made a lot of stupid decisions that involved gambling my funds over the years with bitcoin.

I still remember once I needed to pay for something I wanted, I had 80% of the money in my wallet sitting there ready to be converted into fiat and buy the laptop. I was due to get paid at the end of the week. But I went on to gamble the money anyways because I wanted that laptop sooner. obviously, I lost.

Another reason not to gamble what you can't afford to lose.

Never been experienced that kind of situation before. If I have money then I will go and buy that laptop and will not risk the money on gambling. Although I have situations also that I gamble money that is supposed to used to something else. I used the money because I know I'm expecting some money to come to my bank. Unfortunately, I lost the money and when its time to re-pay, it was delayed for a few days because the money in my bank didn't come in time. Additional 3 days is needed, so its worst experience for me.
11225  Other / Politics & Society / Re: World War III ? on: April 18, 2017, 10:52:47 AM
If world war three will happen on this coming end of the year maybe those country that support us who bomb recently Syria and Afghanistan will be declared a war those who are not supported like china and Russia. They will like killing those innocent people around them.
At the moment I see no reason why China entered the war. Where America is opposed to the interests of China? Only in Economics, but this is an economic war and it is a long time and never stops. Russia is very weak state to fight with America. Russian can only secretly support the enemies of America and Europe. In open confrontation they will not go.

China doesn't want any war specially with USA. They will war with every nation but I doubt it will go and war with Uncle Sam. China is a bully, look at how they bully small nation like Philippines regarding the claims of the West Philippine Sea. They are also claims some of the island and established military stations. But USA is another thing, they can't bully another bully. And same as US as well. They will rather go to war with NoKor or in the Middle East.
11226  Economy / Speculation / Re: Say bye to Triple Digits on: April 18, 2017, 09:09:33 AM
More like bye for now.

In 3+ years, we'll be back under $1,000 again.

3+ years? More like 3+ months lol.

Too soon to say that Smiley.  No bad press to see Bitcoin under $1000.  People seems used to the political debate about Bitcoin Scalability and have accepted that it will take a long time to solve it.  Aside from that the effectiveness of the previous FUD had gone so I do not think Bitcoin price will crash that low.

So what we can do. Politics been involved in bitcoin when the price striking to big amount. If you look the bitcoin to see more than 1000$, Yes, we are moving to big amount and you can see the value around and more than 1100$.
Price fluctuations and forking pulling back the value but adoption rate takes off the value to big amount.

Just wait and see how this political agendas will end up.  I just hope this agendas won' consume Bitcoin and lead it to its demise.  It is really getting tiresome reading debates and propagandas of these two camp but we cannot do anything about that except exit Bitcoin and look to other altcoin if we have enough of these stuff but of course we won't do that.  This political agendas is stalling Bitcoin to its greatness.

Personal or political agendas will not stop in bitcoin ecosystem. We can admit that both has its own agenda, but is it good for the bitcoin market price? absolutely not. Because every negative news has an effect on the price. It may has on some extent drive out some investors and move to alt-coins already. I hope a consensus can be reach so that so that we can really see the potential of bitcoin like going mainstream and adopted as mode of payment by big merchants.
11227  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Restaurants accepting bitcoin! on: April 18, 2017, 08:33:17 AM
I'm working for a Restaurant/Bar in Berlin, Germany.
What is the best way to bring in these methode of payment. At least it should not cost anything if possible.

Any tips or companys?

Its gonna be difficult but I least to try. First, talk to the owner of the bar. Explain to him what bitcoin is and answer his questions to the best of your knowledge. Explain to him the many advantage of accepting bitcoin as payment in your Restaurant. Maybe you are the first to do it around your neighborhood so that's a plus being if you are going to be the pioneer of accepting it. You can even tell your boss that bitcoin can be used as a investment tool, maybe he would be more interested hearing the word "investment".  Grin Goodluck to you mate and I hope you can convince your boss.
11228  Economy / Economics / Re: panic selling on: April 18, 2017, 08:01:41 AM
What if somebody will make a huge dump and sell it all the way to earn some profits because of this rally in bitcoin, and someone sees it and do that same thing. Is there any effect on bitcoin when someone to this,?
Selling bitcoin is challenges to everyone. For the long time you save money there's a time that we need to trade because of unexpected time or emergency. Since we can't predict the prices of bitcoin, we have no idea when is the right time for selling.

That's why I said before bitcoin should be for a long term investment. Just save small portions of your wealth to bitcoin I know that bitcoin price is volatile, but saving in the long run will be beneficial in my opinion. Bitcoin is getting scarce and the next halving will be in the next 3 years. So after halving, bitcoin supply will be limited but the demand would be high so for me the price of bitcoin will soar in the next few years that's why investing in it today is a good choice.
11229  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin price is recovering! on: April 18, 2017, 07:05:42 AM
Price recovering after drops this days and year is just normal happenings on bitcoin.Bitcoins price will still rocket up untill the end of this year as traders goal is to push it up to $2500 mark.So if price drops then it will just recover again normal thing
It's because the price of Bitcoin is surely increased every time, although dropped price
also will be happen on Bitcoin but I see it's not for long time price, it's just briefly.
Now, the price of Bitcoin already recovered and I think it's will be more high price

That should have been expected

I've just read in a trollbox of a certain exchange that two more pools started to signal their support of SegWit. SegWit is going to be activated in this November (if I'm not mistaken), so there is enough time to stress test it (for example, in Litecoin), and till then we can well reach or even jump over the 2,000 dollars per coin price tag. And we could be going there without major corrections like we went from 700 all the way up to and above 1,100 dollars

Percentage of blocks signalling SegWit support - 31%
Percentage of blocks signalling Bitcoin Unlimited support - 39%

Source: Blockchain.info

Segwit support is slowly claiming up and gaining while BU can't maintain its support of 39%

And looking at the current market price of bitcoin, SegWit once activated, would really help the price of bitcoin to go as high as $2000 or more if no hiccups is encountered if the implementation is put into place. Right now the market price looks pretty solid and has recovered already. Let's just wait till another good news (like Japan making bitcoin legal) to make the market price of bitcoin rise up again to even more and could touch the $1300 again.
11230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin overcome Paypal? on: April 18, 2017, 06:33:21 AM
Yes but I also see a possibility where PayPal would want to give in and accept Bitcoin. By doing so they would still make fees money from client who rely on dispute protection.

This is great if so, because there were many shops online that uses and accept bitcoin we hope for that to come yet I guess it takes time for them to accept it in their field. As more and more people are becoming aware of Bitcoin and adapting it, PayPal is  quickly being replaced by Bitcoins. Bitcoins has so many new feature that Paypal has to reduce their fee and perform other major transitions to be able to compete with bitcoins.

I beg to disagree with you saying that Paypal is being "quickly" replaced by bitcoin. Paypal still hold the majority of online payment system that support money transfers simply because it is already mass adopted. We are still far from mainstream adoption. I estimate that around 200 million active paypal users globally. And the issue with transaction fees when using bitcoin I think is only one factor that contribute mainstream from using bitcoin as mode of payment specially in small and micro-transactions.
11231  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-04-17] Bitcoin is booming in India as ‘Digital Gold’ on: April 18, 2017, 05:16:51 AM
The Government doesn't think so. It is considering measures to regulate it.
Some politicians have alleged that Bitcoin is a ponzi scheme. So the regulatory environment is uncertain in India now.

Things may not be so bad after all considering the regulatory framework release from U.A.E turned out just fine. They are also considering the legal status in which bitcoin is clearly treated as a form of currency and permitted to be used as such in the UAE.

Let's hope that they don't pay much attention to Kirit Somaiya's claim of Bitcoin being a Ponzi scheme.

Of course Kirit Somaiya's anti bitcoin stance will always be there as a remainder to Indian government to to take consideration. But the government should be neutral and just put regulations in place and not totally ban bitcoin in India. Because bitcoin ecosystem is thriving in there and will put impact in the financial markets in india. Somaiya's stance against bitcoin is baseless and for sure didn't know how bitcoin works and what attributes it could bring to their country that will lead financial freedom to its citizens.
11232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: YOU REALIZE OR NOT ? on: April 17, 2017, 04:19:11 AM
hi guys
you realize that lately rampant gambling using a means of payment with bitcoin and alt coin?
or you just enjoy it?
in my mind often arise some questions
have you ever thought the same as I?
and we are all aware that bitcoin is a virtual currency that may be said multi function to perform all types of online payments
I realized, the advantages of Bitcoin as security (anonym) Bitcoin payments can be made without personal information tied to the transaction which was originally intended offers strong protection against identity theft so that there is no unwanted or unnoticed charges as can happen with other payment methods.

Exactly, I also never see any useful way to use the money transfer in a cheap rate, and also it is easy to use for everyone to convert their money into bitcoin, no personal information required. But i want to tell, now online gambling is going to popular because of bitcoin. Bitcoin has a great role in it.

i guess gambling games with bitcoin is more popular now in online but i think in offline, gambling is still by using fiat and this is because they don't know bitcoin yet. but soon, people which usually playing gambling in offline or real life will know bitcoin and i think if they can compare between using fiat or using bitcoin, they will choose for using bitcoin because bitcoin can help them to not use their identity for just playing gambling games in online world.

I agree in somewhat you said that bitcoin is more popular to used now in online gambling. However, in offline based casino, still the fiat is the king. And I don't think the offline gamblers will choose bitcoin over fiat if ever they have known bitcoin. Why? because offline gamblers doesn't care about their identify. They are already exposed in an offline casino and they love the ambiance around in a offline casino and love socializing with fellow gamblers in contrast of playing in a online casino with bitcoin where you don't interact with someone other than the chat box.
11233  Other / Archival / Re: Do you think that you're addicted to gambling? on: April 16, 2017, 03:33:36 PM
I am quite sure about this I am not addicted of gambling because I don't play rough only with faucet amount to spend some times.
but to me i think i am addicted to gambling and i play gambling on regular bais, to me i think most of the bitcoin gambler pretending that that they are not addicted to gambling but in fact they are pretending that they are not addicted to gambling where as they are really addicted to gambling.

Well at least you are brave enough to admit to your self that you are indeed addicted to gambling. Its up to you if you want to stop gambling or you want to continue as long as you have bitcoin to bet to.

Others who are pretending or don't want to admit that they have addiction are the once who will have a hard time walking away of the addiction. While others have tried to stop gambling but just can't seem to stop despite their desire to do better and to stop gambling.
11234  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How can I create Own Bitcoin Casino? on: April 16, 2017, 02:30:35 PM
How can I create own Bitcoin Casino like: PrimeDice, Bustabit, BrustCasino etc.

You need A LOT, and i mean A LOT of funds.

You need to pay for devving fees, design fees, holding signature campaigns, other promotions through ads, bonuses, setting up the servers, etc. And of course, you need at least 100-200 BTC to have a sizeable bankroll so that the max bet isn't too low and doesn't attract whales.

But if you want, you can integrate Moneypot and your funding nightmares will disappear.

However, most of the moneypot casinos never end up mainstream.
Some of these things could be skipped.
For once, he doesn't need a sig campaign. If the site is good, he can get clients by hosting small giveaways, and bonuses. A decent and cheaper advertising can be achieved through social media campaigns. If the site is good and offers a nice design and some new games besides dice it should succeed.
I wouldn't recommend a dice site because there's already a big competition and many well known sites. If you want a gambling site make your own game or maybe try hosting bitcoin poker tournaments.

But signature campaign is the best way to attract possible players if your site is very new. Eventhough your sites looks good and has new features to offer, but if no one knew about it because it is not exposed to most gamblers then you will not profit. A decent and cheaper advertising can be used through social media campaigns, but this is not enough to get in contact with your potential players. Signature campaigns is still the best advertisement to get maximum exposure.
11235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you save bitcoin for fun or for future purpose? on: April 16, 2017, 01:48:00 PM
I have think of it and i have save up bitcoin just a the small amount because i have plans for it to have fun like travelling didn't even save it for future purpose. so i wanted to know what are you going to do with your bitcoin if you save bitcoin. Why do you save bitcoin for? and why? what is the purpose why you save up bitcoin to your wallet and not to spend it.
I save bitcoin for my family's secured future. Not only me,lots of people have started saving bitcoin instead of gold.Bitcoin is digital gold.Since bitcoin price has increased considerably from time its being created, its a good investment in a long term basis.
Just my opinion, saving up your wealth in form of bitcoin for your future is kinda risky due to volatility, if you're only saving a small part of your wealth, I think it's okay. There's no reason to risk something which you have planned for your future for nonsense, just my 2 cents.
Though, if it was me, the rapid increase of bitcoin's price make me doubt to whether buy or not because the price might down easily.

For me this is my take on bitcoin investment. You should put bitcoin investment as long term but with just a small portion of your total wealth. Next halving is 3 years from now, so bitcoin will be scarce by then which means the price has a good chance to even rise up in the future. The demand will be high to have a bitcoin, but there is limited supply which will put the market price to increase many folds. So if you hold on your bitcoin now and wait till 3 years down the line, you will profit big. IMHO.
11236  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Internet Marketing on: April 16, 2017, 11:00:40 AM
To be successful in internet marketing you'll need lots of research and aware of the new trends and marketing platform which will help you in internet marketing besides that there are many internet marketing forums you can join them as well.

I guess that "lots of research" is still applicable but right now there's no need to do that if you are going to target a certain website. Just like in facebook you can already use that social media for doing your very own internet marketing which is popular. And you can also advertise with their sponsorship.

I think he was referring to "lots of research" based on the products you want to sell. Of course, if you have already a product in mind, you can just used facebook or twitter to target your niche or buyers. That's why I also said that research is very important to be a successful Internet Marketer. You cannot just sell any product that cross your mind. Research the product you want to promote and then used social media to target potential people who are going to purchase your product.
11237  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to Utilize Your Bitcoins on: April 16, 2017, 10:24:21 AM
many ways you can do to take advantage of bitcoin. The easiest thing is to do a holding bitcoin.
stretcher way is very easy because in some future time you can take advantage of yan action you do.
Agree with your way buy and hold for long time, but this way is good for long term investing in bitcoin
but for the users who want make money from bitcoin,
trading bitcoin to fiat or trading altcoins is good way for getting bitcoin short time, so everything depend on the method investing in bitcoin short or long term investments.

Bitcoin for me is a long term investment. Hold on it for a year or two if possible three. Rather than selling out of bitcoin at every market price dip. Most people saw bitcoin as a way to get rich quick, unfortunately it is not. Just put a small position in your bitcoin wallet for the long term. And because of its limited supply, it is more like the price will skyrocket in the next 3 years, so its worth the risk of saving bitcoin.

11238  Economy / Speculation / Re: BU recovers from all the lies and trickery on: April 16, 2017, 09:41:25 AM
BU is almost back at 40% which brings the hard fork ever closer. That is what crashes the price.

Im glad to hear you say that Kwucky..  with your track record, you just put the kiss-of-death on BU Smiley

LOL. Is this a validation why Bitcoin Network has been under spam attack last couple of days from BU supporter to bring the market price down and force a hard fork? Nice try but it failed.

BU hasn't recovered at all and nobody cares. The attack on the network confirms that is the only way to gain consensus but bitcoin price is still intact and not affected. I think you need another strategy to create more impact in the bitcoin ecosystem. Wink Wink
11239  Economy / Economics / Re: panic selling on: April 16, 2017, 09:09:55 AM
Investments in bitcoin occur daily but from this year it has surely brought many amount of investors. The only thing that I'm now scared of is that the price of bitcoin is barely growing. I just hope this pump altcoin thing stops otherwise it will take lot of time for bitcoin to grow

This pump is most likely deliberately caused by a few folks wanting to hurt Bitcoin

And it will end up as abruptly as it started, and it seems like that it is already on the verge of reversing. After it's done with, people will put their money back in Bitcoin, so the current phase of price consolidation around 1,200 dollars per coin may end soon as well and become a starting point for a launch of the Bitcoin moon rocket, figuratively speaking. We have seen a few weak attempts (in fact, I saw just one, but there may have been more) to move the price substantially below the 1,200 dollar mark, but they all failed

I also speculate that there are people behind the attempt to pull the market price below $1200. It is very evident in some threads here, creating uncertainty to create panic in order for others to sell bitcoin. It may have failed, but I don't think they will stop. Alt-coins have been pump lately (almost the top 5 are currently green), but this will be temporarily, as I believe investors are likely to put their money back in the bitcoin ecosystem.

Those 5 dudes are smart to figure how to exploit the prison server to their advantage. But one thing I noticed is this:

"Findings include bitcoin wallets,.....

I hope this is not another way to put bitcoin and criminality all together again. It only mentioned that they can find bitcoin wallets. it did not say they used to received and send for illegal activities. Because if they did, bitcoin will be put in another bad spot again. I guess we need to wait for a follow up news to really see if indeed bitcoin has been used for such condition.
