I see a lot of coins without purpose to exist. To be a coin or a token with future is necessary that coin have a REAL purpose to exist like tokens that are created to distribute solar energy or real inovative technologies like Tangle and etc...
Obs: be more fast or more secure or more private that Bitcoin is not a very REAL purpose to exist and these coins that are trynig to be a "substitute" of Bitcoin as a currency will fail. Bitcoin have a very big network power that give real valor and security to the network, and reach these network power levels is not easy and is not by the day to the night.
When i say coins without purpose im saiding that coins that are created just to be a currency and nothing more (just with a fell idiots increases like be more fast or secure)

literally the second I can dump my SNM tokens for what I paid for them I am going to.... such a terrible investment. Wish I had these funds back so I could put it to a real project like PPT and Monkey Capital.
Actually SONM is much more a "real project" than PPT and Monkey Capital. The real lesson here is, there's no point in investing in ICOs for a quick buck based on how "real" the project is. Investments are gambles, and risky. You wanna gamble, bet on ICOs not based on project but on ability of team to manipulate price. |

Offering BCC for BTC you own is not really the same as supporting BCC. Supporting BCC means you will open an exchange for it. This move is to prevent customers from withdrawing BTC. Exchanges will prefer their volumes to remain.

Are we really sure that we will see BCC? So far BTC doing fine and everything will be fine as it was expected.. Why people believe that BCC can become something special because it won't be different from any other altcoin..PnD will be provided as welcomes, but as soon as whales finishes their games, it will be forgotten..
I guess they already know this. They saw what happened to ETC and know that they will end up the same way. The whales will make their money and BTC will become even more concentrated at the few. But BCC will go on, low key but valuable. |

The smartest way is not to enter a market at such an unpredictable/volatile period. Trading is somewhat a gamble anyway, but should be based on sound analysis. If the sound analysis cannot find strong leaning, then don't enter. Wait first and see. |

So after the successful token distribution... but once again token holders are left to wonder what hit them. Even TrueFlip token holders will be wondering the same, as TF is supposed to use a protocol provided by DAO. Two ICOs, a lot of money raised, and investors already at a loss. Let's hope the development happens quickly and funds used for more than the travelling for talks.

So much hype, so little product. I was so tempted to go in because of some friends, and the shiny looking card also made us foolish for a while. More shocking was the price of token is below the ICO. So Monaco has the money, their tokenholders have... nothing.

Good to see this outcome but NOT full resolution, because everyone helped 1 user get some justice. It is a shame that admin only got pressured into doing the right thing and did not apologise to the user. It's like the teacher forcing the bully to shake the hand of the victim. Anyway, the reputation is already damaged. Reputation is worth more than 2 BTC. More than any BTC.
My only concern now is people who were unaware of this. There could be future repercussions from this ugly mess that will affect players.

Update ? What update ? There is no update and there is no exchange so it can't go up in value. It's been this way for a long time now. Unless you know something I don't know ? You only needed to go back ONE day to read the post with the latest updates. The actual site forum is active - plus if you actually used the site like we do, you'd have noticed the new additions. Also, there is an exchange - CryptoDAO. You really need to do 1% more effort or you'll lose your money. |

This isn't going to be a useful thread unless people actually contribute their knowledge about a particular alt. BTW, there are discussions that ICOs simply issuing tokens on blockchains shouldn't really be considered crypto alts. But in any case, my comment is about Monsterbyte and why it shouldn't be a scam:
1. No frenzy, because no promise of huge returns. Dividends model.
2. Existing business model. Actual financial reports already published.
3. ICO to raise fixed reasonable amount of $1 million for growth.
Plain, simple, no crazy idea with confusing theories.

I remember that some that some "study" was conducted here by some members. The result were if you invested the same amount in all the major ICOs since the beginning of the year, you would be at a profit. And that would be even bigger if you selected only the good ones.
Yeah, I recall something similar: random 10 picks, even if 8 dies, 2 that make >5x profit more than covers everything. Of course, who has enough to make 10 picks. I don't even have 1 BTC and with majority ICOs in ETH, I hesitate to change BTC to ETH. |

OK. Website is having a lot of issues so I could not try out the Masternode invest. First issue: keeps returning errors loading normal pages. Secondly: when you click Regenerate to get BRO address for deposit, site just shows a lot of errors (unable to connect).

1000 coins but 18 decimals?  It's a good point, 18 decimals just means you can subdivide the coin into 1 quintillion units ... that's 1 million trillion units. So 1,000 coins can mean nothing in scarcity context. But look at Bitcoin and realise that very few transactions will go below 1,000 satoshi, or even 10,000 - not when fees are minimums of 1,000-3,000. This amount gets bigger even as price increases, so maybe decimals get less important as coin gets more useful. |

Don't worry too much about OP's question, since yobit ICO looks like it was designed exactly for his type of coin. Send an email to Yobit admin, @OP. They'll give you a detailed reply. You have to build your own wallets or they will delist. Strangely, they look very successful with ICO coins on their site.

Monero gained its reputation from use on dark markets, with traders preferring it to Bitcoin. It's not the only "anonymous" crypto, and not the most anonymous but it is one of the "best" in terms of adoption and ease of use, not to mention one of the best established ones.

There are ICOs out there with worse, much worse concepts. I am not saying DIMCOIN is a scam but it has a more transparent whitepaper and there are some faces and names to put out there, so they already do better than a lot of others.
