Add a credit card on top of the dollar. Or swap it out completely. Also and you could add fungible in the gold / xmr center. MEh, CC not private but neither is cash.

I don't like this opening so far. I always go for the Grunfeld defense when I play black.
Right now, as things stand, I would play d6 to defend e5, but I have never played this position before.

b5: 3 votes (galdur, hermesesus, languagehasmeaning)
d6 1 vote (Morecoin Freeman)

I'm gonna go with b5 over d6 because i think it gives us a more open field for attack while also putting pressure on him. I'd rather not block the bishop in, I like it holding that line and where it can head to.

Thx for the explanations guys it really helps. Smiley

I'd love to be able to march those pawns up a few but I'm sure we'll never get that chance. Lol

b5: 4 votes (Hueristic, galdur, hermesesus, languagehasmeaning)
d6 1 vote (Morecoin Freeman)

I make a formal application for an Australian Credit License (ACL) and Professional Indemnity Insurance this week that will take approximately 28 days. For a partnership and business linked to both the Noble beta and a yet-to-be-released app. in the Fintech space. More details will come.

It seems like they're really making you jump through the hoops, bankers control the lawmakers and they don't like competition. They like to keep the sheep all nice and lined up for fleecing. Still here pulling for you even if I've been silent lately. Smiley

The BitNet team's first IoT experiment - control relay, the experiment is successful.
Next, we'll transplant code to VpnCoin wallet, to achieve remote control through VpnCoin wallet.

https://youtu.be/RnWXUjbEHIg

http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XMTM2NTIzNTkyNA==.html

Please explain to me why we would want remote control features in a wallet? Also I personally don't want a bloated control center for a wallet so can you also release versions with just the basic wallet features. As in no VPN, no Lottery, no anything else besides sending and receiving coins. I am noticing overhead I do not want to see in the wallet.

I think it's  great that you continue to develop and integrate projects but you may want to think about splitting these projects into install-able modules or use some other method to let the user choose what features they want.

For instance, I do not bring every tool I have when I go to work on something.

I'll wipe the floor with anyone who goes against me in chess.

Then please join our game and help us "wipe the floor" with OP. We have a clean slate and have yet to make any mistakes this game!

Indeed, this is a very clean game with the board setup for some serious play right now!

And I keep trying to bring us down the rabbit hole! Tongue

Thanks for the links in your posts, they really help. Smiley

OK, appreciate the encouragement guys I'll keep making calls that deviate from everyone else! Except Morecoin Freeman, we seem to be on the same line.  Tongue

I see we are trying to avoid this. http://www.chessgames.com/perl/explorer?node=2042607&move=7.5&moves=e4.e5.Nf3.Nc6.Bb5.a6.Ba4.Nf6.O-O.Nxe4.d4.b5.d5&nodes=34844.34845.2042607

Thx for the explanation. I can't think that many moves ahead. I thought we would be able to trap that bishop but it is a trap for us. Cheesy

I'm too far behind you guys to be useful. Gonna just watch from now on. Wish I could see this far ahead without using assistance. Smiley

BTW, linking to this site the move makes it far easier for the layman to understand. Learning the lingo and visualizing it is not easily absorbed. Especially through reading. My reading comprehension skills have become practically non existent in the last decade. Cheesy

5.. Be7

Nxe4: 2 votes (Morecoin Freeman,Hueristic)
Be7: 2 votes (galdur, boolberry)

I see us coming out materially ahead with Nxe4 and only slowing progression with Be7 along that line. Am I wrong here? You guys want to make a argument to support Be7?

How about 0% fees or even -1% fees?

To bring volume up and spread the word?

That is not the problem, the problem is trust.

Possibly a open ledger system with escrow would address that main issue.

Otherwise looks like a great project.

Ok im white and you are black

Are you trying for a 1st post ignore? J/K  Try reading more than the topic title.

How do you search games that have been played by the masters? I'd like to search out both these moves and see how those games progressed.

I normally use Chesstempo. http://chesstempo.com/ and click on Chess Database.

There are also a lot more databases but here you can search a few moves deep for free.

Thx, I'll check it out tomorrow.

EDIT: Couldn't wait, damn what a cool site! apparently Bb4 is our best chance of a draw and we have been choosing all the most common responses so far.

For what it's worth I thought the consensus was that active promotion of the monero brand would not start until the GUI release. IIRC it was agreed that more harm than good would come pushing a unfinished product as it is easy to taint an opinion with a poor product and never recover that persons support even when the product became viable and fully assessable to the masses. With that being said I think XMRPromotions has shown alot of initiative and as long as he doesn't bring negativity to the brand there really is no reason for him to stop. It is his obligation to clearly present the fact that he is not a official envoy of the brand. I am also of the opinion that this is exactly what should be discussed in this thread and is no way off topic and should not be moved to another thread offsite. I applaud him taking on this onerous task but do think it is premature.

TLDR: As long as he doesn't present himself as a official representative and is not causing harm to the brand then he can do as he wants.

Wow, Nodes value is so low. I hope it will go up one day...

Why?

Because that would indicate adoption which has actually be the reverse lately.
11294  Other / Off-topic / Re: Lets play a game of Chess on: November 05, 2015, 08:36:49 PM
OK someone explain to me why we don't want to push that bishop back? Are we playing in that much fear or I am missing something here. It seems to me we could get our bishop out and castle with b5. I must really suck at this.
11295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: November 05, 2015, 05:36:53 PM
I'm not gonna lie guys; ever since I got loudly and publicly involved in cryptocurrency a year ago, there's been no end to the digital fuckery I have experienced and suspected on my personal machines.

I have a Windows laptop for internet browsing and games (no cryptocurrency activity on this machine), and even after a fresh install, within weeks it will inexplicably begin to stutter and pause before saving any file.  I run pretty solid Malware Bytes scans, MSE instances and a Firefox browser with ad-block and Noscript; I'm not a wizard, but I'm not a dummy.  There is no reason why a top-of-the-line computer that was reformatted a month ago should be stuttering randomly and lagging when doing things as simple as saving a picture off the internet.

As well, my cell phone began about November of last year to pause randomly to lose (possibly hijack) the internet connection.  It shows pinging or 'upload' status in the network icon during these moments.  Attempts to use downloaded apps to figure out what IP addresses it's connecting to during these times have only resulted in gibberish or proxies.  This behavior persists no matter how many times I 'reformat' my phone.

This is kind of shit is increasingly pissing me off - I have come to accept that if I become prominent in crypto I will likely end up getting monitored pretty hard despite being open and honest about my actions, but whatever backdoor nonsense is happening is actually affecting the performance of my computer which is ridiculous.  Perhaps I'm being paranoid, but also perhaps not.

If you are reading this, your shit is weak and gives off tell tale signs of a system being compromised - get it together.

 Angry

Remove flash.

I have had terrible experiences with SanDisk products over the years.  I bought a SanDisk SSD last year when I built my mining rig and the damn thing started smoking and almost caught fire. Not even 2 days into the build.  Not to mention their SD cards have all been terrible for me.  I've had good success with Kingston SD cards and for SSD Crucial, Samsung and Kingston SSD's have all been solid.

Funny I read this just when I had this in my cart. LOL

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA0SG3HA9036&utm_medium=Email&utm_source=IGNEFL110515&cm_mmc=EMC-IGNEFL110515-_-EMC-110515-Index-_-FlashMemory-_-9SIA0SG3HA9036-S1A5C

And the mandatory mixin. That can't be stressed enuf how critical that is for moneros true function as truly fungible digital cash.

It also has a lt of fancy new wallet features. View only wallets is cool. Did luigi integrate he confirm payment received feature? Well, that's also cool but might not be in there. Here's also some magic to make a fresh node sync in 45 mins in an ssd with a good net connection. I assume stability improvements as well, cause I saw someone report that the old bins would only last for 3-5days or something. New head runs forever.

IIRC you said you were setting up a image, could you do this with tails please?

I feel like we are being setup with that bishop but I vote b5
11298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are BanxShares as good as GAW Paycoin? on: November 04, 2015, 02:10:14 PM
Any reason why Banxshares price has been increasing over the last few days? Is this because Bitcoin's price is increasing as well or is it that Banx could set up it own prices? Anyways, thanks to this Í have earned some profit.  Grin

Really? You have earned profit? How do you calculate profit? Is it the number you are looking at on the screen or is it the amount you have cashed out with? Can you sell these "shares"?
11299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: November 03, 2015, 09:20:21 PM
I could be totally off, but it seems like someone is controlling the USD price of Monero.

It's not just XMR. So many alts are in the general neighborhood of -40% over the past 30 days which translates to constant USD price, and they have tracked BTC as it has rallied. People trading these alts seem to believe that they shouldn't participate in BTC's fiat price gains at this stage. Maybe it will need BTC's higher prices to be sustained and not turn out to be a short-lived bubble.

The main exception as a subset seems to be the 'BTC-E alts' (LTC, NMC, PPC) which are down less (so up in fiat terms)

Which is a great argument to get on BTC-E after this bubble.

The Monero community also seems to have the smallest percentage of members participating in paid signature campaigns which I think is a good thing.

Agreed.  I'm not on this board to earn an extra $30 a week.  I'm after vastly larger goals than that.  Additionally, if I am the quality of poster that a true future currency standard deserves, my signature space should be worth a lot more than a paltry $30 a week.  Wink

I think of $30 as 60 XMR/week. That is 2800 XMR a year for doing what I'm doing anyway.
