1141  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What do you think will be the next Big development on Bitcoin after Bitcoin LN? on: May 11, 2023, 05:29:59 AM
Imagine how wonderful it would have been it the so called Bitcoin LN is running on the Bitcoin chain itself, I keep telling people that Bitcoin LN isn't the same with Bitcoin, I would have preferred if Ordinals is running on Bitcoin LN instead, they should have left Bitcoin the way it is, we love it like that, we never wanted Ordinals running on Bitcoin chain, we have Segwit too which is better than Bitcoin LN, it is well.
1142  Economy / Gambling / Re: blizz.io blatant scammers stay away on: May 10, 2023, 09:45:10 AM
Why do people like learning the hard way? After getting into scammers trap you will know how to find your way into this forum and make a topic about how you get scammed, why can't you create a topic asking members if you can trust blizz.io or if any members have used blizz.io before and what can they share about their experience?

You took the bold step and walked straight into the fire, bravo, you should be brave enough to digest your losses and keep quiet about it too, what do you expect to hear from members of the forum now?

A thank you? Members on this forum prefer using online casinos that are popular on this forum, they must have ann on the forum too, this is the easiest way to trust any online casino on this forum.

If I never get to know about Bitcointalk forum I won't dare deposit a penny on any online casino because I don't trust easily.
1143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When Bitcoin will become stable currency? on: May 10, 2023, 08:16:39 AM
As Bitcoin was designed to be a volatile digital currency, it will never become a stable digital currency in our lifetime. With volatility comes opportunity for the masses, so if Bitcoin becomes stable it will be less fun, it will only be able to be used to store funds, not to be used as an investment.

If Bitcoin were a stable coin today, I would want it, because getting out of the centralized control is my main dreams, the poor people don't have any power in my country and corruption is damaging the lives of many people in my country, a decentralized stable coin sounds great but I doubt it will work, but the real reason Bitcoin is so popular is the opportunity it offers, the freedom and the ease way of making more money.
1144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How's your gambling experience right now? on: May 10, 2023, 07:14:00 AM
My gambling experience is going fine because the casinos I use have different options of coins you can use for gambling, I am ignoring Bitcoin for gambling right now and I am not ready to pay a 20$ gas fee for gambling, that 20$ is enough for my daily gambling trials. Ethereum is still fair right now and I do hope that Bitcoin devs cancel Ordinals, I know many won't want to see this happen but it's for the greater good, some are saying that Bitcoin could fork again because of Ordinals, what do you think 💭 is this possible?
1145  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin Ordinals on the edge of getting canceled on: May 10, 2023, 06:40:38 AM
If we are asked by the Bitcoin devs to vote and choose between allowing ordinals to keep doing their thing on Bitcoin or they should cancel ordinals what will you be voting for?  Grin Grin

Today I read a news on Twitter and it looks like the Bitcoin devs want to cancel ordinals

I am not sure if this have been confirmed yet or they are still trying to make a choice but I will like to hear your thoughts, a good move or a bad one?

Also is it advisable to start receiving Bitcoin payment straight to your exchange? What disadvantages comes with doing so?
1146  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Avoid Ponzi/Ponzi scheme is a scam on: May 09, 2023, 09:32:18 AM
When you tell them to invest in Bitcoin, they won't listen, the next question they'll ask is when they'll be able to recoup their investment. Most people dream of living a great life, but they aren't prepared for it. If you mention a period of 2-4 years investment, they'll run away.

They want the easy way out that's why Ponzi is a perfect fit for them, make the money and leave they say, but they have forgotten that it could get really hard to quit Ponzi once you start such journey, for whatever we do we tend to get attached to it, that's why legal business is more advisable than illegal business, once a doctor is always a doctor and once a drug lord is always a drug lord, be careful what you choose to do with your body.

Some people lost a lot through Ponzi schemes and they learn from their lesson and there are people who lost a lot and they believe they choose the wrong Ponzi scheme, they are still looking for a better Ponzi scheme, the human mind is really funny at times.

The lesson of this day is that, not all those who fall will learn and remove what caused their falling in the first place, they are ready to keep falling over again.
1147  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What kind of rewards/bonuses do you prefer? on: May 09, 2023, 08:46:42 AM
I like welcome bonuses or new player bonus packages, many online casinos don't use these bonuses anymore and free spins are more common than these bonuses, yet can't go wrong with free spins either, I like these types of bonuses.

I would like to add VIP bonuses because they are probably the most attractive bonus you can get from any online casinos, but the problem is it's not easy, I haven't been able to get my hands on any VIP offer from any online casino, the eligibility is for the big gamblers, not me  Grin Grin .

A new online casino will have hard time giving up good bonuses for gamblers because it will cost them, that's why many of the new casinos don't fulfill their promises, some introduced new tokens and they give access to gamblers to claim those tokens for free for limited time.
1148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you prefer Original Slots or slots from 3rd party Slot providers? on: May 09, 2023, 07:59:15 AM
I'm wondering how anyone can tell the discrepancy, because I can't, we can only read about a online casino games auditor, calling the company's name and that doesn't even mean it's top notch or something, to me all slots games feels the same and you get fewer luck with some and more luck with others, how constant are you getting lucky with slots games? That's the question we need to be asking ourselves because that's all that matters, I like switching from one platform to another, sometimes this is all it takes to bring your luck closer to you.
1149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has become un-useable. Switch to altcoins or short sell on: May 09, 2023, 06:54:39 AM
You don't know how angry I am because of Bitcoin transaction fee right now, no one likes it and some are comparing this to the 2017 Bitcoin high transaction fee but this one is different and it will be here for years because there was no Brc20 in 2017.

The ordinals never existed at the time, this is why I believe that Bitcoin won't be getting out of this mess for a long period of time until maybe the devs put an end to ordinals smart contract on Bitcoin, it's a mess that should have never existed in the first place, Bitcoin was not created for such thing.

Bitcoin is Bitcoin and I don't think that people will love to leave the coin for alt, even if they do believe me they are not happy about it, we are not talking about Ethereum here, this is Bitcoin.
1150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Need your opinion on the casino project ( gambling ) on: May 08, 2023, 11:41:17 AM
I've read some comments and to many it seems they haven't heard anything about this casino, I know there are many online casinos out there and it's no surprised that many people don't know about the casino but a casino that people don't know anything about can not be considered a safe place to gamble because people don't know the casino, have you checked out all the online casinos on this forum? I don't want to know what this online casino cam offer you OP but you can get the same thing from popular online casinos through this forum.

At least you won't be put in the dark, many people knows and have used almost all the online casinos om this forum and that what we are here for, to share experience, I can only talk about online casinos that I have used with no issue like Roobet and Fortune Jack.

To be safe in crypto space, you need to use only what people are using because they will be able to share you their experience, you will know that you are into before making your first deposit on such casino.
1151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can i make 100 $ daily from online casinos on: May 08, 2023, 10:32:12 AM
It's crazy that someone can have such dream in their head, traders can't even predict how much they want to be making every day, for them it's always when things go right, you can only wish for a constant payout amount if you are a crypto miner or a salary earner, even a crypto miner still need to calculate their earnings day by day because the reward is not fixed, you can mine Bitcoin today and earn 10$ per day and tomorrow it goes back to 5$ per day, my thought about this is crypto is not the place where you can say that this is what gou want to be earning everyday.

Even if this works for weeks it won't stay the same for a long period. You need to find something you can do with your money that's not as risky as a crypto investment. Because nothing in crypto has a fixed earning, not by mining or trading or even running a complete Node, rewards goes up and down every time.

That's crypto for you and now we are talking about gambling, and gambling is more risky than crypto trading or investing, you are in a darkness trying to find the light, you are completely vulnerable to losses that's true portrayal of gambling.
1152  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is happening with mempool? Can someone please ELI5? on: May 08, 2023, 09:41:14 AM
What I don't understand is why suddenly everyone needs a space in block? I mean there were not much demand, and now for some reason demand increased.

Ordinals and BRC20 tokens hype and FOMO! Those are the tourists that only come once a year, throw money at expensive garbage stuff, in this case, useless NFT and tokens, and then when the season ends they leave and everything is back to normal
You can have a look at it here, a wave of people paying high fees to mint their tokens on the Bitcoin blockchain.
https://brc-20.io/

stompix gave a real ELI5 explanation...

He asked for one, and that's what he got!  Roll Eyes

This could get worse, I know such have happened in the past with Bitcoin but brc20 is new and some projects are on the way to take advantage of this, the problem is this one will last a very long time and it will have a bad impact on small Bitcoin holders, the only people benefitting from this are Bitcoin miners, I as a person do wish that this never happened in the first place, anyway we will see how things goes later, hopefully this will come to an end sooner.
1153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What a shame on: May 08, 2023, 08:42:57 AM
What is shame here? There is nothing wrong with saying that the government decides everything. Can you fight them? If your country banned bitcoin, would you dare to tell people that you are using bitcoin? Like it or not, government is the most powerful agency and they decide everything in this world, against them is not a good idea.
I don't want to be right and that's not what I am replying to your point, you did have one here, the lecturer is right but Bitcoin is not under any restriction in my country, it was banned years ago but not anymore.

I am surprised that this lecturer is now telling his son not to get involved with Bitcoin that's it's not money and it's illegal, as a lecturer I expected him to be open and explore more, there is no end to knowledge.

If my own father was against Bitcoin years ago and he somehow forbids me not to trade or hold Bitcoin my Life would have been way worse than it is right now. I do not believe that this man is saying this because he lacks the knowledge, I believe he is saying this because he doesn't want to believe that something could work without government intervention.
1154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you lose on slots? on: May 07, 2023, 11:46:27 AM
I doubt anyone can follow this. Once in an actual situation, we can figure out to ourselves the certain pattern we need to follow. Losing 10 times spin in a row is just normal and that's even a few. Sometimes, I'm winning even after 20 times spin. It's a matter of how far you can tolerate the consecutive losing spins.

There's no advice or suggestions that can be truly effective in playing slots.

Slots is a luck-based game where everything is random. Don't expect that there's a way to avoid losses here.
If a person is desperate to win in slots, they will follow it along with other tips they gather from other users but I think there will always be chance that we will lose no matter how strict we are on playing the game as the game is already designed to eat peoples money and that won't change anymore except if you will open the slot machine and change something in its program but I doubt if you will be successful on that attempt as there will also be security that are in placed.

You better leave it as is and if we badly want to earn a money, there are other safer and guaranteed activities out there that can provide it other than playing a gambling.
There is no skill you can add to slots gaming, you will lose no matter what you do, there is no trick with slots than to limit the timing, try rolling every 30 minutes instead of continuous rolling said a friend, I tried this too and it gave me the exact same result, slots games are completely luck, if you play your slots game and you keep losing try another slots game on other gambling platform.

1155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Big is the online gambling industry today? on: May 07, 2023, 10:54:05 AM
The pandemic outbreak of 2020 played a major role in the big success of online gambling platforms, that was when bigger numbers of people decided to try their luck indoor on those online gambling platforms, today online casinos are one of the fastest rich businesses that anyone can get into right now and casinos are as big as less risky companies like Microsoft and others, do not underestimate how much casinos are generating every day, it's a whole lot of money, more than you could ever imagine.

Big men out there would rather run a casino business than an hotel because it's a business that's less risky for the owners, it's a 95% win for the owners always.
1156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: May 07, 2023, 09:35:13 AM
It's a bigger mess in my country, almost all the touths are into gambling and it has taken all they have away from them, some quiet and some don't know how to quit, till today they don't know how to stop the addiction and some believe that pray works with gambling, it is this bad, imagine praying to God for a miracle through gambling, is that even a prayer?

Despite the fact that I am not religious, I believe God does not like gambling. This is similar to the prodigal son story, if you have no control over anything, then it's an addiction.

It's crazy losing money from something and still playing it over and over, the only way to be sanity with gambling is playing for fun, and thats when you have the money that you can afford to lose, do not use gambling as your dream source, do not dream that gambling will open some good life for you, it's already a hell for you if you've developed this mindset.
1157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What a shame on: May 07, 2023, 08:36:00 AM
It's a shame that people are still living their lives, saying, if the government says that something is bad then it is bad, government decides what's good and what's bad for it's people.

This is what I get from a lecturer of a university in my country, I was trying to teach some students about Bitcoin and crypto, I was forced to even do it because I have been busy with my business for the past one month now, a good year this 2023 has been for my business, but these students have been calling me to come and give them some lectures about Bitcoin so I did this yesterday.

One of the students have a father that's a lecturer and after I got home this student told me that his father said that the government is the only thing that can decide if a currency is fit to be people's currency or not, if the government says no then it's a no, coming from a lecturer this is so sad.

His son have an interest in Bitcoin and now it's left for him to make a choice, I am only surprised how a lecturer can be this dense, something that should be coming from an illiterate.

I don't know if this will impact the other students too because they are all from the same school but I do hope I've not wasted my energy, I spent 2 hours talking about Bitcoin and the Blockchain.

If something is not clear or doesn't make sense, we should look for answers and not make a blind determination on it, your action can have an impact on someone's else.
The lecturer have called Bitcoin a scam and his son is lost, I still told him to do research on his own but I myself have lose interest trying to explain anything to him anymore.

UPDATE

I've read some comments and people don't get why I believe it's a shame that this is coming from a lecturer. My father was old skool too, yet he never think that paper money is not replaceable, he was so opened to new ideas and he believe that anything is possible.

As a lecturer he should believe in whatever he believes in, but stopping his son from learning about Bitcoin is wrong, as a lecturer what makes him believe that he will always be right? We were taught in school that knowledge is power and this one is stopping people from achieving knowledge.

People believe so much in their government that's why many poor people are so powerless, some countries are in a mess today because all the people believe in are those corrupt politicians leading their countries.

I read some comments and I am disappointed, many people are just buying Bitcoin but they don't understand that Bitcoin gives power to the people through decentralization, for the first time in history the government is unable to be in total control of something, that's Bitcoin.

1158  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gamdom.com - 3 Million+ users - Jackpots, Rains - unique games modes on: May 06, 2023, 01:14:59 PM
Why I can't turn off the 2FA of my account?
I'm currently using an Android device.
I need to set it up on my new device.
It means you did not back up your 2FA activation code. Now you are in trouble and after get out of it, you must learn a lesson to backup 2FA code for next times.

Based on my experience on removing 2FA. It needs a confirmation via email or cooldown time to successfully remove it as safety precaution that your account is not hacked.
If you are a real account owner and still have access to your current 2FA and email which was used for that account registration, you will succeed to reset your 2FA. It takes time but you will succeed eventually.

However as I advised, always backing up your 2FA activation code, for Gamdom, other casinos and cryptocurrency exchange accounts. You must fully control your 2FA, activate it, removing it, resetting it.
All 2FA codes need to be backup, I learned this the hard way when I first started using the internet, I thought that the backup for Google 2FA was automatically and I don't bother to do anything, yet I kept storing all codes in the app until I replaced my phone and that's where I knee I messed up, some exchanges where able to help me out and some said they can't do anything about it, few asked for my identity card and they reset the code for me, it was a very stressful week for me.

I hope the Gamdom team will be able to solve this problem for this fellow, they have all the right to deny you if this is one of those extremely strict gambling platform.
1159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling or gaming sites on: May 06, 2023, 09:23:37 AM
The links you shared us looks unsafe, the security sucks so I will never try such websites out, I've never heard about these gambling apps and website before but they look like play to earn games in gambling form to me, you need the games token before you can start playing, this is different from gambling on casino platforms but at the end of the day, it's still a gambling because you losing something in return, time, items, points and etc.
1160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop comparing BTC to FIAT. FIAT is dying every single day. on: May 06, 2023, 07:30:25 AM
It is true that Fiat currency loses value almost every time but I think it is better to be in the two currencies than one, it is possible to have bitcoin and to have USD because you can never tell.

bitcoin goes up and down and it is the same thing with USD, one cannot really survive without the othe,r I know many people will argue that this is wrong but the majority of Bitcoin holders get into Bitcoin using Fiat currency.

The only currency I won't be getting involved with is CBDC, because this currency is going digital and privacy first, and I won't be surprised to start hearing how people are getting spied on because they use CBDC to fund something.
