1141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Scam victims on: August 25, 2020, 07:17:32 PM
Mate, are you kidding here? How do you pay fees to release funds from an exchange? A legit exchange will never ask you to pay fees to release your funds from their website, rather they will look for ways to solve your problem, that’s if it’s within their reach to solve that problem, but as for a problem that they can’t solve they will let you know that they can’t solve, for example – sending money to a wrong address.

I don’t get how people tell you all to be paying fees to get your funds back and you keep giving extra money to them. I have seen another newbie talk about this before, though he didn’t fall for it. He invested $3k in a fake exchange and they asked for $1,500 to get his funds back, but he was smart enough to suspect that something is wrong.
1142  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔶 YOLOdice.com 🔶 play&invest BTC ETH LTC DOGE on: August 25, 2020, 05:46:18 PM
Indeed the commission taken by the site is a thing in cases like this, the site took 2500 LTC of commission this week.
There options like what's done by bustabit to keep a commission of 50% without affecting the investors durings huge loss. The commission is taken only when the site is at its ATH profit.

Also there is new investors because their expected value is much higher when there is a low bankroll (they can have a higher %) and when there is a player wagering a lot, its theorically the best moment to invest.

I also did it after losing a lot first i added another investment yesterday. So  sometimes the new investors you see are in fact the old investors who added some additonal money.
Yeah, the fact that if you lost money you should not be paying anything more but when you earn money you should be paying even more could make the casino same amount of profit while also helping out the bottom as well. Let's say there are 2 people who put 10 dollars, one of them had their investment drop to 9 dollars, and you also took 1 dollar out of them, so now they are at 8, that is not really nice for them, but let's say another earned because gambler lost, his 10 dollars became 11, and you took 1, that means he didn't lose anything (and neither won but he could wait for 12 if he wants).

If you spread it bigger, you could take 2 out of the winner, and that way instead of 1 from loser and 1 from winner, casino could do 0 from loser and 2 from winner, same amount goes to casino, but losers are doing better.
1143  Economy / Economics / Re: how in the world is btc at $12.303,28? on: August 24, 2020, 05:29:59 PM
Please if you choose to leave the Bitcoin world, no one forces you to invest in Bitcoin. I am, after all knowing that currently Bitcoin
does not function as a currency, because it is true that people rarely use Bitcoin to buy goods or services. But no one can predict
the future, I still believe that one day Bitcoin will become a global currency. All we need is to be patient, so I won't be influenced
by your opinion about Bitcoin. Because I will keep collecting as much Bitcoin as possible.
Yeah, why do people think about bitcoin price like it is a product. I mean just because there are traders out there who wants to make it high, doesn't mean that there needs to be some other reason to make it high. If traders wants to make it high, they can make it high, if they want to make it low they can make it low and that is literally all we need about bitcoin to be up or down.

At one point traders said that they rather buy more than they sell and that is why bitcoin price reached above $12.3k and after that there was a change in logic and they said they rather sell more than they buy and price went to $11.5k and that is ONLY thing needed to make the bitcoin price change and that is the only thing that matters. Market knows this very well, hopefully other people will realize it as well.
1144  Economy / Economics / Re: Our country was called Province of China. on: August 24, 2020, 04:48:37 PM
Given the chance China would claim that everywhere belongs to china. I get that historically speaking they could have a lot more places they used to own, and that is why I do understand that they want to get those lands back and unfortunately this is not just China neither, but it makes zero sense just because there is a map of old days you can't just ask for the same lands once again.

Look at Greece and their megali idea or whatever it is called, they want more lands from Macedonia and turkey, look at Israel and Palestine thing, look at USA and basically all the oil lands in the world Cheesy.

If that was the case, Italy would be huuuuuge, roman empire was insanely big, that is not the case anymore, China can't request lands they used to have, that is not how modern politics works.

Why is nobody talking about the launch of a new top casino? https://www.greenslots.online/ - registration is a minute and you are already playing) Really well done, the deposit just came, now we will try our luck)
You know you can't advertise casino on other casino's Announcement thread.
Well, you "can" but it is in bad taste plus it will probably deleted very quickly when realized Grin Grin.

Bustadice is something totally different, it is basically a small time idea thing grown into a huge whole website of god knows how much bitcoin gambled every single day, so maybe they would be more understanding but anyone who basically reports them to the mods will get this deleted very easily.

I also wanted to point out that I have been waiting for bustadice to add multiple altcoins, and bustabit as well, so that we could also invest in those as well, but there is really no movement towards that at all. Is there like even a consideration about it? Like maybe it is on the road map but it is not urgent? I really want to see something like that and invest if possible.
1146  Economy / Gambling / Re: ♨️🎲 WINDICE.io 🎲 Contests 🏆 TvT 🔰 Progressive Faucet💰 Jackpots 🎁❤ on: August 23, 2020, 06:51:08 PM
I think games and rounds would be enough, you can however have the announcement here that is allowed, so what you would do is post the competition thing here, with a link to your main competition topic at games and rounds, which would help you out. And everyone will talk about it there as well, that way you would get attention from two places.

You want it to make this website a lot more visible and talked? You can post here every 6 hours (or 12, or once a day whatever you want) post about it here, like "do not forget about our promotion at games and round, go join there" and you can keep doing it. So, basically you will do it on games and rounds which many many people will join and make the website get attention on that section while you make this place get more attention.
1147  Economy / Economics / Re: Philippines will drop as a Country, Economy on its worst! on: August 23, 2020, 06:16:08 PM
People in power are always corrupt. I think the government situation is the same in every country, there are always people that are not being favoured by the government in power. We can take the US as an example, when Obama was the president there were people who never liked him, and then Trump got in, and now it seems more people even don’t like Trump being the president because he seems to be the worst.

Same thing with my country, in fact I will say that my country is the worst because unlike the Philippines you have mentioned, ours is still a developing country and people don’t have nothing to say, the government do as they please, the best people can do is pray that things gets better, but that never happens, instead it keeps getting worse every day.
1148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: August 23, 2020, 04:55:01 PM
I know that everyone thinks Clippers and Mavs series is closer than it looks, but I feel like there is a chance Clippers are doing pretty well considering PG13 hasn't played well at all. If the time comes and PG13 plays like himself again and defends Luka well and scores like he scores, I would assume that they would destroy the Mavs.

So, right now the teams could be looking closer but I feel like with more games the difference will move further away as well, and since there is really no home or away games, teams all play at the same place, I feel like clippers will continue to beat Mavs easier and easier until series is over, I do not see Mavs picking up one more game. Hopefully though Mavs will improve to be an awesome team in the future because they do have that potential.

I wonder if they would plan on moving from pari mutuel to fixed one day.
According to following post made by TheQuin, they do have plan to add fixed-odds betting.

We are indeed looking to add fixed-odds sports betting this year. It won't be a white-label, we'll integrate a 3rd party odds feed with our own front end.
Some time ago they announced they are working on Casino site but we have no update about this hopefully this will launch soon in future and then we able to have some more attractions from this faucet.

They already have partial betting on their site and also Bet HI LO game. You can also play lottery on their site and also they give return on investment. You can enjoy all these things in a single site but they are more known for their faucets.
Yeah, it is insane to think that they have added betting on top of everything else. I mean we are talking about a place that was basically filled with faucet first, there was ads everywhere and they charged a lot because it was one of the most visited crypto places in the world (not it is even one of the most visited all websites and not just crypto) and right now it is getting really really awesome, we are talking about a place that was already awesome in the first year and right now there is even 10x better version here with all the additions. Kudos to wetsuit man, he is definitely awesome for building something like this.

I haven't really seen any addition to here that wasn't liked by the people, whatever you guys did was well received and gets so much attention.
1150  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID19 VACCINE AND ECONOMIC GROWTH? on: August 22, 2020, 04:43:28 PM
Hmm, rushing towards this would be a risky thing. If they are to bring the vaccine where I live I don’t think I am ready for it, until they are able to prove that the vaccine can be reliable in the treatment of the virus and also prove that there is not going to be any bad aftereffects.

If not that, then I am not ready for it, I would prefer to stay clear from it. I once opened Facebook, and that was earlier this month, and they were doing a survey about the Coronavirus awareness, and one of the questions there was whether people are ready to vaccinated, I gave my answer as no, I wish I was able to see other people’s answers.
Yeah, I’m afraid of taking any vaccine if there is no proof that there wouldn’t be any side effects and that it actually works. Then another question I do ask myself is that if everyone continues to be afraid of the vaccine how are we going to know that it actually works and that there are no side effects? Lol okay I am asking this because I don’t really know the process that goes into creating vaccines, but I’ve heard that they test it on animals (not really sure of that), but is that enough to validate the vaccines? Huh Damn, this is going to be a big issue, but seriously I am not ready for any vaccine if there is no proof.

You sound like a confused person. Okay, let me guess, you started making use of Bitcoin when it was at the rate of $8,000?

Because I’m saying this based on the way you have explained it here. So, you didn’t know that there was a time Bitcoin was worth less than a dollar before getting to that $8,000 you’re talking, and you never bothered asking yourself how it even got to that amount from nothing?

You’re just confused and you don’t even know a thing about Bitcoin, I can see that, if you do you wouldn’t be saying this.

Anyway, making use of Bitcoin is not by force, the same way you have made up your mind to leave there are also people that left, but that never stopped he growth of Bitcoin.

What should you learn so you never get affected by economic crises ?

Humans should learn to do what computers / ai can't do ...Question is what computers can't do ?

Is this our future :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3quruHpcuo

Are we going to become Obsolete like Mr. Wordsworth the librarian ?
A lot of people have been learning about AI as of recent , and it seems to be a good area of tech engineering to get into.
Mreover, no matter how good and perfect these AI's or robots seems to be, they are still machines and machines will always have fault no matter what, there are time they will reach and they will get weak and spoil, it will always require a human being that’s skilled in that area to fix them up or create new ones, so AI cannot take up every space.

Other good skills that I would recommend people learn are software engineering, writing, and every other kind of jobs that can be done online and remotely.

If the hot wallet is consistently empty, then it's obvious they are very conservative with the amount they keep there.

This situation is indeed not good for bitvest active players although I do believe that bitvest has their own policy about when to refill the hotwallet.
Afaik bitvest has low number of staffs, probably lightlord is the only one who handle this job so once lightlord is having other things to do IRL then it will take longer time to refill the hotwallet.
I'm not really sure if they have a system to notify owner whenever the hotwallet is getting close to empty.
It will be good system so the situation of empty hotwallet can be minimized.

That's fine. I would just keep bigger hot wallets to prevent this from happening too much. There's risk in a hot wallet being stolen but also in people losing interest in gambling or investing if they are annoyed about not being to withdraw as fast as they expect.
I feel like that is actually good thing isn't it? I mean surely there is an obvious problem with people trying to withdraw their money and constantly waiting for it because of hot wallet empty situation and that could be seen as bad when you want to withdraw.

However think of it this way, there will never be a big hack that would steal everyone's money, isn't that cover for the bad and then some? I would rather have to wait for my withdraw to come to me a bit late compared to a possibility that all of my money could be gone one day. That is why I feel like it is rather preferable to have it this way than the other way around.

I don't know because I never had any troubles getting money from here like people say so maybe I just have to face with the situation first to make a better decision but it sounds better as it is.
1154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: August 21, 2020, 05:14:24 PM
As if Warriors got the second pick! I know most of the time second pick may not become a huge super star, and they usually do not provide skill right away, but remember last year's second pick was Ja Morant and we all know how that turned out. I think warriors are already quite amazing, they just had a bad season because of all the injuries. They still have Steph, they have Klay and they have Wiggins now and they have Dray, these are all great players, plus they are going to get the second pick as well, which will be something huge for them.

If they draft well (and considering they drafted steph, klay, dray all themselves I think they are good at drafting) that is another 5-10 years of awesome team for them, it is unfair what happened with them, but they were one of the worst teams this season and played g-league players all year so it makes sense.
1155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in a good shape? on: August 21, 2020, 04:45:11 PM
Guys I haven't been here for a while and I'm wondering if Bitcoin is in a better shape than last time I checked 2 years ago.
Two years ago? Bruuh, you missed out on a lot of opportunities man Shocked.
So I guess you’re one of those people that decided to quit after the price of bitcoin decreased to a low rate after going for a huge bull run?

Well, you can see that for yourself by checking exchanges for the price of Bitcoin, the price is already back up and currently chasing $12,000. If you were around February, the price was way more less than this and that would have been a better time for you to start reinvesting. Although I don’t think that it’s late at this time, because I still believe that there is going to be further increase before the end of the year.
1156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto cards on: August 21, 2020, 01:31:33 PM
The only cryptocurrency card I have ever used is the MasterCard card that is being issued by BitPay. It’s really cool and I still have mine till now and I’m using it. I have heard about other cards as well, like the Wirex card, I have seen people talk about it a few times, although when I downloaded the Wirex app I think it’s something different, it’s kind of like a bank that functions digitally, but you can still send and receive cryptocurrency with it.

As for BitPay card, I am able to load it any time and use it to withdraw or make purchase, and when I use it in some stores, some people always asks what card it is.

1158  Economy / Gambling / Re: MintDice – Bitcoin Casino With Online Slots, Bitcoin Crash & Bitcoin Investment on: August 18, 2020, 10:17:28 PM
It's true. Google as a search engine is fairly complicated and takes in many factors into account. Mostly, if Google feels that the search results provide the best end value to the customer, then it will rank higher for those terms. Even if the word description is not identical.

In many countries/regions presently, MintDice has started to trend towards the very top of results for the search "bitcoin dice" among other things which is testament to something, at least, on that logic Smiley
We hope to continue rising on many other terms as the brand and product increases in quality and user base.

You really do not know how Google uses search results and displays them do you? Google displays what is paying them the most. If you want a search engine that only shows you the most relevant results and not paid results then you have to use an alternative like DuckDuckGo.

Then it gives you most relevant:)

Personally, I don't use Google. I use alternatives. And perhaps the usage of alternatives is much higher on BitcoinTalk. Irrespective, Google rankings are what ultimately matter the most since its the vast majority of web traffic. Most devices automatically default to Google or other major brands and most people never switch from that.
I do not understand the hate towards google, I mean yeah  they do track you but I seriously think that they track you for advertisement purposes and not really anything serious, they want to make sure who you are and what you do so that they can show you related ads, and they need to make sure that they are checking it in detail because it would be weird to send amazon iron prices for ironing your shirts, when you searched for iron man comics.

Mintdice is doing awesome in google, just get the keywords right and more common and you are going to see x10 users eventually. I still can't believe that this place still haven't upgraded and already so good, I can't wait for the updated version, that will be just so epic, if this current version is like this, think of how improved version will be.
1159  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy restart big Boom and prosperity Coming on: August 18, 2020, 09:15:18 PM
In addition, we expect a second wave of the spread of this coronavirus.
This is one thing that no one is taking seriously and the second wave might be even more devastating than the first one given people are not taking as much measures as they used to take when the virus was new. People have got into a situation where they feel frustrated and the cold cash they had as savings is also evaporated in the recent times because jobs were cut down and everything was paused and now people need to work to feed themselves and hence the second wave might be a real trouble for everyone.

I feel like economies will restart slowly and everything will be good as long as we are alive we should be happy in tough times and thinking too much about economy is not the best thing one can do, just survive and help poor people around you to survive. Leave the economics to the government.
1160  Economy / Economics / Re: What brings economy of a country down. on: August 18, 2020, 08:26:24 PM

The kind of government has a lot to do when the economy succeeds or fails. When your government asks too much taxes from the companies doing business in the country and the labor cost is higher than of China, these companies will move to China or any other country like Indonesia or India where labor cost will be much lower and the taxes are enough for the companies to profit.
Also there are countries who do not imply any tax on their citizens like Dubai is a tax free economy so anyone who wishes to startup a new business will always prefer such economies and cheap workers can be found from the migrants to the country.

I feel government plays the biggest role for the rise or fall of any economy because they can make the taxes that encourage new businesses or they can imply so many taxes that people move out to start their business. I see that resources also play an important role because you always want to setup industries in an area that is rich of resources and you get those resources with minimal travel and labor cost. And industries are the biggest contributors to any economic structure.
