1141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I'm selling all my alt coins and putting everything into Golos on: October 21, 2017, 11:13:58 PM
I agree with the other answers - its very risky putting all your money in one coin? A crazy Strategy. Either you are just trying to hype this up and pump it or you really do believe in it , either way, spread your risk.
I learned this sentence from this forum of not putting all your eggs in one basket and now I have learnt what it actually meant. This is really important in investing or trading any coin. Before getting into field you must have to learn the whole and sole of that coin whether that is suitable for you or not. Once decided, be confident, but don’t just trust that blindly.

Sure, like this ''idiot'' that put his live savings into Bitcoin when it was $9 http://falkvinge.net/2011/05/29/why-im-putting-all-my-savings-into-bitcoin/

Some people are lucky idiots  Roll Eyes
You are lucky if you buy a lottery ticket and win the lottery, but if you have specific and clear reasons to invest in a project you were not lucky you were a very good investor, I’m sure that when my investment skyrockets my friends will probably think the same but that is nothing but a self defense mechanism to protect themselves of their own failures.

my thoughts exactly  Smiley
I know that I may sound harsh to some, but it is the truth, my friends are very risk adverse and they prefer to play it safe but I have told them that the only way to make something out of you is by taking risks, I know that I can lose money by investing in crypto but I’m fine with that as long as I have the chance of making money as well.

The much talked about ride is on, to bullish. Who is riding with it ......
Shocked
No one knows when the ride will end just go on the flow and earn as much as you can bitcoin is becoming more implemented in all over the world lets say there are some countries that bitcoin banned but there always one counrty or more countries who kept supporting it.
The ride is obviously not ending anytime soon and for real, the train is still on slow-mo and anyone who is wise can still run and jump in once they have the chance. I once told someone that we have not seen a bullish ride yet.

Wait until the adoption gets stronger and people understand bitcoin value without letting any government bamboozle them into dropping their coins for FUD reasons.
This is what many people simply do not understand, the price of bitcoin is high that is true but when you begin to think about the potential of bitcoin and the huge price it can reach then it is very easy to buy at this price, all of those that do no understand that are going to miss this chance to buy bitcoin while it is this cheap.
1143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do Altcoins really have a future? on: October 20, 2017, 11:49:52 PM
I think bitcoin have large value ,but altcoins also have it value,in the future ,more particular altcoin will appear and stay, coins will be a large family, not one coin.
I think it depend on the decision of the public. If people will support altcoins then it will have a good future but if people will not support bitcoin and they will not have any demand for a particular coin then that particular coin will lose its value in the market.
Not all the coins are currencies, for example casino tokens are very similar to stocks, you get dividends depending on the amount of tokens you hold, and I’m sure there are going to be many more of those projects in the future, so if an altcoin is just another currency then it is going to have problems to survive in the future but if it can do something that is useful and it is in demand then that altcoin can survive for a long time.
1144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what price will litecoin hit in the future? on: October 20, 2017, 11:43:11 PM
what do you guys think? what will happen in 2019,2020,... just curious to hear.
Since bitcoin and litecoin are very closely related I think I will describe LTC market cap in terms of bitcoin, I think LTC can have a market cap of 5% or 10% the size of the market cap of bitcoin, so if the 2020 market cap of bitcoin is 200 Billion that will give Litecoin a market cap of 10 to 20 billion, I do not know the mining rate of litecoin but that will give it a price between 180 and 360 dollars.
1145  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin now the strongest currency in the world? on: October 20, 2017, 11:33:40 PM
After the events of last week.

I was making this suggestion to some folks yesterday, but they claimed that bitcoin is too small.  Does it matter?
When it comes to currencies size matters, bitcoin is too small right now but I will say that is already one of the top 50 strongest currencies, and if things keep going in this direction it is not going to take a lot time before it begins to challenge the most powerful currencies of the world.
1146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Small investors now is your time! on: October 20, 2017, 11:30:08 PM
Today the price just jumped above 5000$. It is now that you should buy some coins for the long term profit. If you say "Oh, lets wait until the next drop to 4000$, then I buy", I think you will never buy again.
This is one of most common mistakes that I see around the forum, people want to get the best possible price but the best possible price is the one bitcoin has right now, so unless you are a professional trader you need to stop trying to time the market and get in before bitcoin goes up again.

1148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in ICO, still promising? on: October 19, 2017, 09:18:35 PM
I am a person that gains profit from investing in ICOs but now I'm having second thoughts. I know some ICOs are potential scam so I am really picky to where I put my money.
Anyway, considering with what happened to Ethereum price and with the nearing Aigist 1, do you guys think that it will still be profitable to invest on ICOs mostly on ERC20 tokens and those accepting btc payments?
Yes there are still some profits to be made from altcoins but it seems the door may be closing in the future with more regulations to the market and some icos using KYC policies, and when you add the fact that China banned icos you have a market that is not as dynamic as before.
1149  Economy / Marketplace / Re: enough bitcoins to start small project ? on: October 19, 2017, 09:16:51 PM
i if want to start small project (site)

how much i need for basic one ? OR complex one ?

Edit Basic ideas

1) Apk game that have fixed address for every player and get coins when he/she to that address .

2) Exchange site (Paypal to btc Directly ) or other exchange

First good point

The most important and costly part of a project is its security. And security measures increase as per the size of your project. If you are thinking something big, you will surely need more security for that, but if you are just trying to start a very small service like a faucet or something like that, it will surely cost you less in compared to bigger projects like gambling platforms, exchanges or any other major project like that.

I personally would not recommend a person to start any project as long as he himself does not know anything about securing himself, as that can be dangerous for the project these days as we usually see hacks happening to even bigger projects, so if someone finds out about the project and finds it easy to crack then there are chances they might do an attack for even less money if they are easy to get.
The issue is that you are asking about a small project and none of those ideas are small at all, an exchange is probably one of the most complicated projects that you could undertake, hackers are going to try to steal the coins of your clients from day one and if you fail, the exchange is going to lose all of its credibility.
1150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: "Onion" - THE BABY GIANT! 10000%+ coin for 2018 on: October 19, 2017, 09:13:30 PM
This coin had experienced hitting $4.88 in the pass. Current price now stays at $0.90-$1.00.
Once it get listed in more exchange sites, the price gonna rise even more. (Expect after the airdrop end).

What is ONION? Onion is basically a privacy coin but it offer more unique functions:

- The first coin that is integrate with TOR network, your IP will look like XsFadTGdSdc.onion
- More private than MONERO, DASH, or any other privacy coin.
- Offer more unique function other than "privacy currency", such as DeepSend, DeepVault, DeepMessage, DeepVote, QuickSend and many more function to comes.
- Low supply, max 25,000,000 after 10 years.

The community is hugeee. The thread on the bitcointalk already reach 1400+ pages in just 4 months!

They got their own forum with so many active members: https://deeponion.org/community/

They got their own community support including web/wallet design:
https://imgur.com/a/RnjME
(please click the link above for "drooling").

Currently, only 1 exchange website support this coin witch is NovaExchange.
But you can get this coin for FREE! 500-1000 (worth $500 - $1000) coins per week just by joining their airdrop bounties through: https://deeponion.org/community/apply.php
REQUIREMENT: you must have 1 BitcoinTalk account with a minimum  jr.member rank, that is reg before 1/Sept/2017.
(if you dint have account that reg before 1/sept/2017, you can purchase old account through bitcointalk marketplace, but beware of scammer).

You must active on bitcointalk and deeponion forum by making 10 high quality posts per week (each post must have 50 words and above).

They offer 40 rounds of airdrops.
Please visit https://deeponion.org/ .
Scroll-down, and you can see they are offering 12,000,000 ($12,000,000.00 - worth) FREE coin distribution / airdrop to the public!
No ICO. Just FREE coin!

And the most important part is, look at the

I think it will gain value but it will never surpass bitcoin. Bitcoin has been trying to reach out and have a mass adoption of merchants accepting it.

With bitcoin as strong as it is now I do not see how can anyone argue that any coin can possibility overcome bitcoin, however deeponion seems like a good project, however the prediction is simply too high and I do not think the coin is going to get close to give profits of 10000%.
1151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: should i invest in ETH & LTC? on: October 18, 2017, 09:42:12 PM
i suggest you to choose 1 only that is ETH, buy now, print wallet at paper wallet, put it at your deposit bank
dont touch it until 2019, bangggg, you will be rich at 2019
ETH is a good project and a good coin, but someone investing money in ETH is not going to become rich the price is too high already, if you had invested one year before I would have agreed, but right now I do not see ETH going up more than 2 or 3 times its current price in the next 2 years.
1152  Economy / Economics / Re: Are cryptocurrencies better than regular currency on: October 18, 2017, 09:38:18 PM
If bitcoin is used worldwide i consider it a yes.  But now, a large portion of the population is not familiar with it especially in those in 3rd world country like mine.  Tangible cash is still consider the best. We can use bitcoin in our country if we convert it to cash.
Bitcoin is not going to be adopted with the same speed in all the countries of the world, most of the time the richer countries adopt new technologies first and then poorer countries follow them, so take advantage that not may people in your country know about bitcoin and make money that way.

But it really depends, do you even think governement will accept this kind of coin instead of their currency? And do you think big whale is some kind of company that money laundring their money into this kind of thing? I believe not, because only each one of them that hold huge amount of coin and be together controlling the market price
I do not think it really matters whether a government wants to accept bitcoin or not, it is the people that matters, if the people of a country wants to adopt bitcoin then it does not matter if a government bans bitcoin, at some point the pressure to legalize bitcoin will be so big they will have to adopt it whether they like it or not.
1153  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin successfully defeated China on: October 18, 2017, 09:32:22 PM
Bitcoin has crossed all previous market records and is now $5118, a weirdest experience first ever in economy.
This is an obvious truth that we alone could manage the cryptocurrency market without china's interfere.
Let's see how skyrocket bitcoin further.

Thanks for that,, I have checked the market price after reading your post.. This is really amazing in many ways..

Any country who want to challenge bitcoin community will be just a laughing stock after this huge increase in price that I though would happen by the weekend but it goes beyond my expectations.. This won’t happen if china still around with bitcoin.. It is better this way they’re not part of this development for them to realized that we can stand alone..
I think that despite of that some countries are going to try to oppose bitcoin and the more they oppose it the more people are going to want to get it, it seems odd but if a government bans something everyone begins to look at that something with new eyes and want it, this is one of the reasons of why the war on drugs has not worked.
1154  Economy / Economics / Re: Why people scam on: October 16, 2017, 10:22:55 PM
Getting a job is not possible for everyone, not everyone has family or [friends] to help them and sometimes they will make the bad situations even worse them. If you've ever really needed money and were very desperate, than you probably know that people would let you starve to death rather than give you $5.

It's weird how people won't toss out just a few dollars to help someone in need, yet they'll spend $10000 or more on their pet that has an average life span of under 5 years.

But then again, if you give the person in need money, they'll keep coming back for it. It's a real crap shoot
I do not know if I’m reading this right, but to me this reads as a justification and there is not justification, if someone is so hungry then the logical thing for this person to do is to steal food, why would someone steal money to then buy food with it? Those that steal money or goods other than food or water have no justification.
1155  Economy / Speculation / Re: Interesting day... Telling on: October 16, 2017, 10:19:53 PM
That is a pretty elaborate explanation you got there and you are very detailed in explaining how bitcoin turn into a Roller Coaster ride for them, but eventually everyone is excited about Bitcoin price, the All Time High it break and we are experiencing a new heights when it comes to the price,

But I think I would not be the one that would sure be not too exited with the hype in selling when the great price had met, or convert your bitcoin to a safe Fiat Currency then would buy back again when the price goes down, because my hype is in the future of bitcoin and what kind of value awaits us, and when the price would become 1 BTC is equal to a million Dollar.
If you think the price is going to go that high then there is not much of a point to sell your bitcoin to get some small earnings just keep holding, I know that you can get profits with trading but you can get losses too so there is not much of a point in risking your bitcoin.
1156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think LTC go up soon? on: October 16, 2017, 10:17:29 PM
I bought 100 LTC just today hoping that it will go up. Now those who can’t afford bitcoin will buy LTC. 😁😁
Litecoin is always a good investment since litecoin activated segwit first I think we are going to see the lightning network to first activate there, that is great an in my opinion when that happens the price is going to go up, so keep an eye on the news to see when that is going to happen.

1158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why Ethereum around 300 while Bitcoin had recovered to 4400 on: October 16, 2017, 10:11:30 PM
If you look at coinmarketcap right now, you will notice that all ERC20 tokens are in red numbers right now, nobody knows the real reason of this problem.
But we all know that when bitcoin goes up, all altcoins go down for a bit, and then they recover again, but it takes some days to make it happen.
Anyway, ethereum is going up again, maybe not to $400 like it was before, but it will be in some time.

I do not think it is a great mystery, china banned icos, and Chinese investors were an important part of the market, so naturally who is the most affected by this, ETH since it benefited the most from the speculative market, bitcoin does not use icos but it seems people found a way to create bitcoin related currencies with forks.

I didn't support bitcoin when I learned about it 4 years ago. I admit that it was a bad decision, if I could've supported it, I would've been a millionaire today. So, now that I'm back. I'm going to support and trust bitcoin with all I can, and keep investing and holding bitcoin.
I heard of bitcoin two years ago, only a few were able to see the potential of bitcoin when they first saw it, mostly there were people that were into cryptography and those kind of topics, so do not blame yourself besides we have opportunities everyday to make our money grow with so many altcoins around.
1160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you using Bitcoin Cash? on: October 15, 2017, 10:15:12 PM
I sold half and kept half. I think they're having teething troubles with the miners switching back and forth.

But this might solve itself when bitcoin forks again, and the miners then have three chains to siwtch their hashrate to.
But the new fork bitcoin gold changed the algorithm to Equihash and that is something that requires GPU mining, so I do not know if their equipment is going to be useful at all with that algorithm, besides they already have many chains they can mine and get some altcoins instead.
