1141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I want to ask, what is the name of altcoins that can beat bitcoin on: June 20, 2018, 03:11:26 PM
With the way things are going there is no altcoins that can beat bitcoin! All of them are been influenced by bitcoin.  Bitcoin can survive without the help of altcoins but altcoins cannot survive without the help of bitcoin.  If you study very well you will find out that most of the structure of cryptocurrencies including physical structures are based on bitcoin. If any body mentioned blockchain technology the first thing that comes to one mind is bitcoin. Therefore no coins will be able to replace bitcoin as a dominant cryptocurrency.
The dependency of altcoins in bitcoin is very evident, to begin with they use the blockchain a technology specifically designed for bitcoin and while some try to make it seem as if they are making innovations the truth is that they are just tweaking some of the parameters of bitcoin like the speed of the block generation and things like that, so when you have most altcoins as nothing but copies of the original how can you expect that any of those coins surpass bitcoin.
1142  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin can be useful for a troubled economy on: June 19, 2018, 05:16:32 PM
I think time will come that bitcoin will definitely lead the way for our digital economy.  Our current fiat system has also downfall and we don't exactly knew now if the money being printed is really backed-up by gold reserve or they are just printing it. With our digital world nowadays, we need a digital currency to cope up with it.
We know exactly what kind of money the governments are printing, there is a reason it is called fiat currency, in case you do not know fiat means decree or order, so a fiat currency is a currency by decree, in the past currencies were not created by decree but by a free market choice which is why gold and silver were chosen all over the world as a currency, so there is nothing backing a fiat currency since it has value just because the governments says so.
1143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Media tries a little too hard to... on: June 19, 2018, 03:48:25 PM
...undermine cryptocurrencies and convince the world that it's "not worth it" - maybe, in fact this is the time to get in, before the bitcoin skyrockets?
Any thoughts..?

For reference, here's the article I can across today: http://money.cnn.com/2018/06/18/technology/bitcoin-cryptocurrencies-internet-bis/index.html
I do not think they are trying to get in this market, even if they bought a lot of coins and they still retained their power the truth is they will not be as powerful as before, bitcoin will limit them, for example even if banks bought bitcoin they cannot print it at will in the same way they can do with fiat so we will have a fairer society not only that the services of banks will become unnecessary, so I think all of that propaganda is a real attempt to stop bitcoin.
1144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long Crypto currency will survive? on: June 19, 2018, 03:00:54 PM
How long is crypto will survive in this world ?

What could kill Crypto?
You are talking as if cryptocurrencies are in a imminent risk of dying and that is simply not true, the market of cryptocurrencies went through a recent crash that is completely true but that is not going to be enough to kill it, if it was then the market would have died many years ago, however we are going to see a very slow recovery and this is going to make a lot of people to doubt them, do not do that and do not sell your coins especially when  the level of adoption is still so low.
1145  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN DIE !!! on: June 17, 2018, 05:09:49 PM
Bitcoin reaches their lowest level which is 7,142$, many people have thoughts that bitcoin is die at it will not rise again but they don't know that investors are happy to see this much low price they are buying bitcoins and by november we will see bitcoin growing. So if you want to get some real profit invest in bitcoin now !!!

People need to stop these silly predictions, bitcoin is still incredibly valuable and it is not going to die from something so small, if governments have not found a way to kill bitcoin and they are very worried about this new technology, do you think we should be worried about a drop in the price? It is true that some speculators are losing fortunes due to the movement in the price of bitcoin but that does not affect the technology or the developers at all.
1146  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin be able to exceed its highest price in this year ? on: June 17, 2018, 04:20:19 PM
Hello,
I am new in cryptocurrency world.so i have no idea about bitcoin price prediction.I want to know about price prediction....
You do not need to be a genius or an expert to know this is not going to happen in this year, there has been a lot of FUD lately and many people listened to it and sold their coins in panic, now all of those people that were relatively new to the market and that have lost money are fearful they will commit the same mistake again and so they do not want to invest anymore, and the people that have a strong faith in bitcoin do not have too much money left to invest since they invested most of their funds during the bull market of the last year.
1147  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you rather see steady growth in Bitcoin or strong upward spikes instead? on: June 17, 2018, 02:55:02 PM
I wanted to see what the general thoughts of the community here are. With bitcoin being in a pretty steady state for the past few weeks, it seems like there's going to be a set up for some kind of growth. With that, there can be many paths, but after seeing today's price (which was up around 5% when I checked), I was wondering if the volatility is what people actually like about bitcoin.

So, do you guys like the volatility and the strong spikes upwards or would you rather like steady growth, around 5% gains over time?
Since I'm a long term holder I will prefer a slow and steady growth but I recognize the fact that it is too soon for that, bitcoin is still too small and there is a huge amount of money always looking for the next big thing, so I expect this behavior of bitcoin growing suddenly is going to continue for a long time until it reaches a huge size and after that we will finally see some steady growth, however as far as I can tell there are many more traders than long term holders and they will probably prefer the market stays as it is.
1148  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the useful tips for beginners? on: June 17, 2018, 02:31:01 PM
Here is the deal. Not trusting media is not really what it meant. More like not trusting the crowd because most of them follow the media. So think differently, think out of the box than what you usually see.
There are a lot of manipulators in this market. Don't follow what they want to do. Be one of them.

Lastly, the golden rule: invest only what you can afford to lose.
Remember that you are investing for the uncertainty.

This is interesting most people want to be leaders to be the ones that take decisions, but when you see their actions they do what everyone is doing and so they are nothing more than followers and I do not need to tell you those people never make it too far in life, so if you want to have success in this market you will need to have your own ideas, stop following the investment advice of others and create your own strategy since that is the only way to become successful.
1149  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trust you trading experience and don't panic on: June 17, 2018, 01:48:22 PM
Yes, you can trust your trading skills when you already have enough experience, if you do not have a better enough experience to trade in small quantities, and panic is the cause of the later number of coin prices to knock. You hold the right coin. No need to panic it relative. Sometimes your experience is a little under different conditions, that's why people can not learn from their experiences instantly.
This is one of the biggest reasons of why people panic, if you buy a coin like bitcoin then you are not going to have any reason to panic which is why most of my money is invested in bitcoin, but the problem is if you invest in the coin which is at the 500 spot in the market cap and you do not know anything about it then the most likely outcome when the coin begins to go down is that you will panic and at that moment everything is lost since the chances you sell for a bad price are almost 100%.
1150  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing in Bitcoin? Advantages and Disadvantages on: June 16, 2018, 04:13:56 PM
Investing the bitcoin gets huge profits, but the losses are also considerable. Because bitcoin prices sometimes rise and fall or are difficult to predict. But after I find out, many people who invest bitcoin earn a big profit for the future.
Losing money in bitcoin is only possible in four ways, you are a short term trader, you lose your private key, you are hacked or you sell in panic, two of those ways are problems with your security, and two of them are a problem with your attitude towards bitcoin, if you eliminate those four ways then the only thing bitcoin will do for you is to give you amazing profits, even with the current market crash my profits are incredible but I'm still going to hold until the next time bitcoin skyrockets again.
1151  Economy / Economics / Re: Can human stupidity affect the movement of the market? on: June 16, 2018, 03:52:47 PM
Hello, community. Political, economic and social news in the media significantly affect the life and behavior of the crowd. How can crypto news affect the movement of the market?
The market of cryptocurrencies is like any other market, if you take a look at the average person when he is watching TV you will see that he is deeply affected by what happens on the screen, people are basically programed to accept everything they see as the truth and if bitcoin is portrayed in a bad light, like most of the time, people just accept that and think bitcoin is bad for them and the economy, so it is very easy to see that bitcoin is deeply affected by the media and its influence over people.
1152  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin price "drop" on: June 16, 2018, 03:09:08 PM
I feel like it's my obligation to share my 2 cents on current "steep" drop of bitcoin price. I find it absolutely unbelievable when people say how low the price of btc is, speaking of the price at $10k or $11k. Those who have been in this industry long enough to remember the price of btc to be $5 are just shrugging their shoulders short of words.

What I'm trying to say is that those new community members so called "hypers" should stop spreading fud when price goes down and same goes with price growing. Actually growing price of btc is kind of problem as it's starting to miss its original purpose of cheap quick transactions. We need people focusing on real value of this ecosystem rather than moon kids...

Thanks for hearing me, couldn't help myself
Cheap transactions will go hand in hand with a huge price there is no way around it, the bigger the price gets then this means there is a bigger usage of the bitcoin network this in return will attract more miners and more competition, the fees are high right now because very few people are using bitcoin, we have not reached adoption of 1% of the human population, but this happen with all the technologies look at cell phones at first cell phones were very expensive, you needed to pay 3000 dollars to have one installed in your car and this was in the 80s and now cell phones are way cheaper and the same will happen to the bitcoin fees.
1153  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will you do with your Bitcoin in 2018? Will it become more valuable? on: June 16, 2018, 02:35:15 PM
During the new year of 2018, many of us Bitcoiners have resolutions to make our capital and Bitcoin holdings grow. Most will hodl onto their coins for the long-term until Bitcoin reaches an all-time high that would satisfy their goals. Other will sell their Bitcoin when they start to see prices falling below their targeted goal.

One thing for sure, is that 2017 has brought us many exciting things for crypto land. Bitcoin and rest of altcoins in existence have risen in value exponentially over the course of the year. Now that 2018 is in its very beginnings, I would like to know what will you do with your Bitcoin (either hodl, buy more, or sell) and will the pioneer cryptocurrency rise further in price?

Whenever you just hodl your coins over the course of 2018 or sell them, Bitcoin will make many more millionaires. What are your thoughts?  Smiley
I do not like to do some complex strategies to try to obtain more money from the market I prefer to keep it simple and this means that I'm holding my coins no matter what, I do not have enough bitcoin to become a millionaire anytime soon, but I have enough bitcoin that if it reaches a high price my life could be improved significantly and since I believe completely on bitcoin I have no doubt that is going to happen and I'm willing to wait whatever amount of time is necessary for that to happen.
1154  Economy / Economics / Re: [ASK] How are you going to handle too much debt? on: June 15, 2018, 07:54:38 PM
If I had such problems, I would talk with people from whom I took the money  and tried to explain my situation and even change our agreements to make it more friendly for myself (But I think, it's only possible, if you borrowed money from friends, like I always do), if not, then you should analyze all your spends, and look where you can save some and find another job.
You can also try to negotiate your debt with banks since they do not like to lose money but this is a lot harder since you probably agreed to some terms and conditions about what was expected of you, but it is possible so if you are in real trouble there is nothing to lose and try to renegotiate the terms of your debt but if the debt is too big there is not other way than to try to earn more money and anyone that has tried to do that knows that it is easier said than done.
1155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I want to ask, what is the name of altcoins that can beat bitcoin on: June 15, 2018, 07:25:11 PM
Who will step up their game? It is bitcoin. It aint a who.
It was created to be better than others even if it was the first. You all see this new coins because bitcoin is created.
Take it out and all will be lost.
Do you really think this guys like Roger Ver or Vitalik will have an idea with a crypto currency if it aint for Satoshi? None. Their brains are not that far enough to be considered a genius. Nothing can beat bitcoin. Case closed.
Exactly bitcoin is so advanced that after ten years bitcoin is still unsurpassed as the best coin, and that is a spot that it has not only because of its popularity, it has that position because of the ideas implemented in it, now many coins have integrated segwit but that was an idea designed for bitcoin and the same is true for the lightning network, so when you have such inventiveness still dedicated to bitcoin the truth is that it seems impossible any other coin can surpass it in the short term.
1156  Economy / Economics / Re: Speculation on BTC on: June 15, 2018, 02:01:30 PM
Negative speculation will discourage people and they will stay away of the market of cryptocurrencies due to the negative news. On the other hand positive speculation in the market will encourage people and more people to take the ways straight towards this market.

This improves the mind of people and brings increase in the demand factor which further improves the value of Bitcoin and other coins.
Speculation may have a great effect on the people that have the desire to adopt bitcoin to try to earn money by trading, but for the rest of the people they are only going to adopt bitcoin once it becomes clear they can make money with it in traditional ways like creating a business that accepts bitcoin or when they see an improvement in the technology that translates in direct benefits for them, that is why even if the fees are good right now we need the LN so the issue with the fees is forever resolved.

Japanese Ministry of Finance is going to prepare rules for cross-border transfers of digital money

The Ministry of Finance of Japan is going to prepare in the near future rules for the foreign transfer of digital money.

According to the report of the newspaper Nihon Keizai on April 5, the Ministry of Finance plans to introduce rules under which notice to the authorities should be strictly mandatory if the cost of transferring money for a foreign transfer is more than 30 million yen.

It is said that the decision of the Ministry of Finance will facilitate the consideration of the real situation with operations abroad and is designed to curb money laundering operations.

It does not matter they are trying to make it seem as if they can control the network and we need their permission to send funds all over the world and that is not true, so I do not think this is good or bad, this is just irrelevant, what are they going to do to know that you are sending more money than that within the borders of Japan? This is an attempt to scare the people that do not really understand how bitcoin works into compliance but at the end it is not going to work.
1158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptomarket stagnation on: June 14, 2018, 06:40:58 PM
We just have to wait for next year June after the next bitcoin halving. I'm pretty certain that bitcoin's value will not go down to $10k during that time. So now is the best time to add up your investments in bitcoin for there's a huge possibility that by next year June the value of bitcoin will even double from what we have right now or even more. I don't have any data to back up my claims but when difficulty of mining increases the value of bitcoin increases as well.
If I remember correctly the next halving is going to happen until 2020 and not in the next year, personally I think the LN network is going to be activated way before that and we are going to see another massive price increase and when you add the halving in 2020 and the Olympic games in Japan I think we are going to see another perfect storm forming which will make the price of bitcoin skyrocketing, I'm preparing for that day and be ready to sell if the price grows as much as I think it will grow.
1159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Can Be Done To Make Government Legalize Bitcoin on: June 14, 2018, 05:13:23 PM
The government is not a novice when it comes to cryptocurrency and this is why they are able to make decisions, either positive or negative, concerning it. However, the government often sees cryptocurrency as a threat and because of this, they decided to make selfish laws concerning cryptocurrency. Government can not be persuaded by anyone. When they see the reason, they will support cryptocurrency.
Cryptocurrencies are a threat to governments very few are going to agree to legalize cryptocurrencies without heavy regulation, the only exception so far seems to be Japan but I have always thought they took that path because they are seeing there is a lot of money to be made especially if they regulate exchanges and since they have a very strong need to grow their economy they are choosing to adopt cryptocurrencies and obtain some benefits than to ban them and obtain nothing.
1160  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin can be useful for a troubled economy on: June 14, 2018, 04:35:41 PM
But it does require a good reception from the country government, it can indeed help in economic terms.. but here certainly requires a very good reception until it really can be supported and more attention to deepen it and also can push from the economic side of the country government. Well though not yet seen all countries can make it happen.. but there's a possibility later it really will be.
People forget that bitcoin not only eliminated the middle man when it came to banks bitcoin also eliminated the necessity to get approval from the governments, it is true they can make it illegal but if the situation of the economy in your country gets really bad people will use bitcoin whether is legal or not, this is what is happening in Venezuela where the government made bitcoin illegal and people prefer to take the risk with bitcoin and face jail time than to keep living in terrible economic conditions.
