11521  Bitcoin / Press / [2017-03-07] Bitcoin Price Technical Analysis for 03/07/2017 – Reversal Underway on: March 07, 2017, 05:51:47 AM
Bitcoin Price Key Highlights

- Bitcoin price recently broke below a short-term ascending trend line visible on the 1-hour chart.
- This could be indicative of a reversal or a larger correction to a nearby support level.
- On the 4-hour time frame, bitcoin price is safely inside its ascending channel pattern.

Bitcoin price broke below a short-term support area but might still resume its climb if it bounces off the ascending channel bottom.

Technical Indicators Signals

The 100 SMA is above the longer-term 200 SMA so the path of least resistance is to the upside. In addition, the gap between the moving averages is widening to suggest strengthening bullish pressure. Also, the 100 SMA coincides with the channel support at $1100-1150, which is also a long-term area of interest.

Stochastic is pointing down to show that sellers are in control of bitcoin price action at the moment, possibly taking it all the way down to the channel bottom. A larger correction could last until the 200 SMA dynamic inflection point just slightly below $1100, but this would be the line in the sand for the uptrend.

RSI is also heading south to show that sellers have enough energy to push for losses. Once both oscillators hit the oversold regions and turn higher, buying pressure could return and allow bitcoin price to regain ground back to the channel resistance at $1300 or at least halfway until $1200.

Check out http://cryptohub.site/index.php,they just changed their rules to payout.you jus tpost 30 and you'll get your payout within 24 hours although not yet a very popular forum,it's worth your time if you are a newbie and just want to get satoshis for free.

Hey, I have an account in cryptohub and got paid, however, I was too busy here
in btc with my signature campaign that I totally forgot this site. This site looks
promising but I think btc is the best site in terms of the number of members
who have extremely vast understanding of or information about a bitcoin. But I
will I try to go there if I have the time just to see what is going on that forum.
Plus the Admin looks cool and I had a few PM's with him as well.

11523  Other / Politics & Society / North Korea fires four ballistic missiles into sea, angering Japan and South on: March 06, 2017, 12:36:18 PM
North Korea fired four ballistic missiles into the sea off Japan's northwest on Monday, angering South Korea and Japan, days after it promised retaliation over U.S.-South Korea military drills it sees as a preparation for war.

South Korea's military said the missiles were unlikely to have been intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBM), which can reach the United States. The missiles flew on average 1,000 km (620 miles) and reached a height of 260 km (160 miles).

Some of the missiles landed in waters as close as 300 km (190 miles) from Japan's northwest coast, Japan's Defence Minister Tomomi Inada said in Tokyo.

Looks like North Korea is provoking again.
11524  Economy / Speculation / Re: Poll: What Will Bitcoin Price be at the End of Year 2017? on: March 06, 2017, 11:23:20 AM
No proof or technical analysis unfortunately but I went for $2000. With the rate that the price has risen over the last 12 months I think we can say $2000 looks likely by the end of 2017.

$3000 would be great but I conservatively went for $2000.

I'm with you with the $2000 speculation at the end of the year.
As I have said before, ETF or not, bitcoin price will not be volatile as before, on the contrary
its been stable as ever. Although, there's still the issue on scability (Segwit vs BU),
before it can fully adopted by mainstream. And think the price will rise and it will continue
to rise up until the end of the year. An I hope it can reach it maximum potential
in the next couple of years. Just my 2¢.

11525  Bitcoin / Press / [2017-03-02]NSA Will Not Use Quantum Computers to Crack Bitcoin: Antonopoulos on: March 06, 2017, 08:34:14 AM
Bitcoin is not vulnerable to Quantum computer attacks, Andreas Antonopoulos has confirmed.

Speaking in a Q&A session, the celebrated commentator explained how Bitcoin’s hashes are resistant to quantum algorithms, making it all but impossible to infiltrate it with current technology.

“We don’t have very good algorithms for breaking hashes with quantum computing,” he said.

Responding to a question regarding whether the US National Security Agency, hereinafter NSA, had the quantum technology to crack Bitcoin, Antonopoulos simply replied, “yes,” but that they wouldn’t use it for that purpose.

“It is certain that the NSA has already built quantum computers. Google has one in their data center, and if they have one, the NSA has one that’s ten times better,” he continued.

“...Do they use that to break Bitcoin? The simple answer is ‘no.’”

11526  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did Satoshi advertise about bitcoin like alt devs doing now? on: March 06, 2017, 07:49:43 AM
I don't think Satoshi ever advertised bitcoin like alt-developers are doing right now.
And I don't think he even do any social media advertisement (Facebook, Twitter etc) as well.
Remember, he is also a private person, so promoting his bitcoin project is not his cup of tea.
I think it probably spread like word of mouth, a friend of a friend who happens to know about
bitcoin.

Personally, I heard bitcoin when I was doing freelancing work back in the days.
But I didn't take notice of, but its never to late I guess, So I started with my
bitcoin journey a few years ago.

And remember the pizza guy? I think he did contribute in promoting bitcoin in way back in 2010.

11528  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin break its own record !! on: March 05, 2017, 03:24:31 PM
The future is not in my hands, but my coins do. So I have decided to sell a good part of my coins at this price. I don't know if this was a good decision, but in case of a new drop below $1000 I will be celebrating my decision, but if price breaks that $2000 so largely expected, at least I have enjoyed my spent coins and will have new chances to get more coins.
I will take same decision like you. I will sell part of my bitcoin in 11 march. i just wanna avoiding the bull trap. In this cases the key is on the SEC's hand. so we are playing on the high risk of the bullish trend of bitcoin. I really care about it. good luck to your decision.

I will sell as well before March 11 probably a day or two not because of the bull trap
but because of important issues at hand and I needed it convert it to fiat. But If I
other options, I will hold on it whether the ETF will be approved by SEC. Because
I don't see a huge dip in price. I'm speculating that the base price would be around
$900 and it could go as high as $1100 if not approved. But once approved by SEC
price would be double pretty much in a span of months or even weeks as investor
would put a lot of money in bitcoin.
11529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: March 05, 2017, 03:01:22 PM
According to my calculations if Miami wins today(they will), then they will move to top8 for the first time in the season

They actually win easily because Lebron James and Kyrie Irving did not play, even if they lose this game, it's very clear this team will reach into playoffs. I believe with the way they show, they can compete with great teams in the NBA now, whiteside is a big factor to protect the rim and I think they will pass the first round in the playoffs if ever they will reach to that level.
Whiteside really make a big impact and seeing them improving with the same coach that made this franchise be well known i guess if they advance to the first round they will be more eager to passed the second one. Its too early for that but hoping for the best coming from this team.
Their unselfish plays really make this team grow, I like to see them competing with the Raptors or the Boston Celtics in the first round because I believe that is a great test for them and they should prove they are an improve team. It's the same players and team but coach Eric made a good job to make his team a good competitor in the league, remember the time they had a good winning streak, that was really impressive.

Yes. This seems to be a good idea, pitting them against Boston Celtics in the
first round if they ever made it a 7th or 8th seed. I also like what coach Erick said

"It’s so much easier just to stay with what you know, stay with what you’re comfortable with and think that that’s enough,” Spoelstra said at the time. “To break through and improve you have to get into that discomfort zone".

He is building his team to accept role, accepts challenges and not worry
about position and embracing new horizons. And this team looks like
embracing challenges, so against a team like Raptors or Boston in first
round would be very interesting and just like what you said they want
to prove something.

11530  Other / Politics & Society / Tony Blair denies pitch to be Trump's Middle East envoy on: March 05, 2017, 01:44:09 PM
The denial comes after the Mail on Sunday reported that the former British prime minister met the president's son-in-law and key adviser, Jared Kushner, at the White House last week.
The paper claims the meetings were to discuss working for Mr Trump.
Mr Blair's office said the story was an "invention" and that he continues to work for peace "in a private capacity".
After he left Downing Street in 2007, Mr Blair took the role of Middle East envoy for the Quartet Group, made up of the European Union, US, Russia and United Nations.
His spokesman said: "Mr Blair has made no such 'pitch' to be the president's Middle East envoy.

Another example of media creating a false news.

11531  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can you think , better time for trading ? on: March 05, 2017, 01:09:04 PM
It could be a good time to start trading another coin like Etherium. But there may also be an opportunity to buy more Bitcoin if the price drops again. If the ETF isn't approved, the price will surely drop some.

Yes, just buy Etherium or Dash the prices in buying that alt-coin is good right now
and hold it for a bit. I'm seeing those two as good investments because the volumes
of those 2 altcoins is moving very fast so I think a lot of investors are putting their
money of it. But of course there's always Bitcoin, so if you have money, you can
also put on it as well, and just wait for the SEC decision on whether to approve
ETF or not.

11532  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It is confusing. on: March 05, 2017, 10:24:43 AM
SegWit, I have heard that on one of the videos I had watched, about helping bitcoin to have good transactions. But still cant undestand it.
Can anyone explain clearly what are these terms?
U shouldn't care that much about this terms because in past there were colored coins hyped term and technology around bitcoin. I didn't use my time to read exactly what it is and it dissapeared as idea and as software so i would only waste my time.
If segwit won't activate, then you would waste time also learning what it is exactly.

So care mostly about most basic stuff around bitcoin, this are extensions that maybe will not be ever used in reality.

Use the search button and you will find a lot of topics regarding the whole BU vs Segwit
vs LN saga. But being a newbie, I suggest you don't go for more technical terms, just
stick to basic and you will be find and as you learning a lot about bitcoin then that's the
time you can learn about them. Because you might lose interest in bitcoin if you see
a lot of debates and bickering on what's best to implement regarding the bitcoin blocksize
issue. Goodluck!
11533  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 209: Woodley vs Thompson Info and Prediction Thread on: March 05, 2017, 09:41:31 AM
It was a good card for those who wagged  for the underdogs as all the underdogs won the fights except of Mark Hunt and i did lose almost all of the bets except for the Woodley Thompson fight and glad i could recover all my loss in the match with Woodley. It was a really close and boring fight but i scored the fight for Woodley and he won my majority decision.

I think it can go either way. The inexplicable hesitance on the part of both
fighter made it a difficult bout to score because its hard to predict what
the judges seeing because of close rounds. I scored the fight for WonderBoy
anyways, and yeah it was a boring fight. One of the worst championship
fight I ever seen.  It was painful to see them in the ring as no one want's to commit.
I wish Khabib vs Ferguson was not cancelled, Oh well!!

11534  Other / Off-topic / Re: Young people should go all in on bitcoin on: March 05, 2017, 09:01:05 AM
Forget about everything else and just put everything on bitcoin. You are living with your parents, they pay everything for you, you got nothing to lose. If I was living with my parents, I would save everything and buy bitcoin monthly. If BTC doesn't keep rising you can still reach the 21 BTC holder group, then save this and retire in 10 years when the price makes you a millionaire.

Go all in on regret later. You are on a privileged position to profit from high risk high reward moves. No risk no win, and BTC is the best long term high risk bet.

I like you idea here. But then again teenagers would are busy in others things and bitcoin
would not be their priority. Unless the teenager the mindset to invest at a young age
in bitcoin. I myself when I was young, I always saw my father reading newspapers and
telling me all about investing at a young age, but I didn't listen to him at all, and when
I got a job I realized its not too late to invest and I should have listen to him early on.

11536  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / [2017-03-05]Cloudflare’s Cloudbleed Continues to Bother Bitcoin Industry on: March 05, 2017, 08:28:36 AM
The year 2017 hasn’t turned out to be a great one for few information technology solutions providers. In the past few weeks, two major incidents have made the customers take a step back and reevaluate their contingency plans.

Online platforms experienced severe disruptions and tense days after two of the leading providers, Cloudflare and Amazon Web Services faced issues. The whole Cloudflare incident labelled as “Cloudbleed” was caused by a bug in the system which potentially compromised the privacy of a small group of users. According to certain reports, over 1.2 million users on over 3,400 websites including the likes of Uber and OKCupid were affected by the memory leak.

Cloudflare’s services are used by a majority of the cryptocurrency platforms. The possible leak of sensitive information including passwords, encryption keys, messages, IP addresses and HTTPs requests due to Cloudbleed has got them concerned. Many exchanges and cryptocurrency services have started sending emails to their customers, asking them to take precautions to prevent any unauthorized access to their accounts.

11537  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Internet Marketing on: March 04, 2017, 02:29:53 PM
Internet marketing is a sketchy area. There are people who claim to make $5,000 a month through IM. I suspect they must spend a lot on internet traffic to reach those numbers. Otherwise, its hard to explain why they offer paid mentorship programs to teach others IM. Those who have a good niche in internet marketing or elsewhere might be concerned with their market becoming oversaturated. I don't know if many IM gurus seeming extremely motivated to share their secrets, for a price, makes sense in the grand scheme of things.

Yup, indeed someone who can already make money equivalent to the salaries of those working are concerned with is someone who has long been looking for a crack or a plunge in the Internet. Even when they surf the internet far more than those who are just starting out in the IM or those just looking for entertainment on the internet. However, for those of us who are interested to become an Internet marketing and earning the same by senior or even higher in a short time. Then we should be able to be close friend IM a senior, because that way we can learn from their thinking

Just like a said before, in Internet Marketing you need to invest a lot of time and money
before seeing a good profit. There's no magic in it, even the courses offered by those
so-called Internet Gurus may not work for you and paying them big amount of money
is just a waste of it. Internet Marketing is a trial and error basis, you have to experiment
and experience it yourself and see what works for you and not just followed those
who told you that they have racked a large amount of money because of following this
simple steps. Yes, you can learn from them, but you need to get your hands dirty to
get the tricks on it.
11538  Bitcoin / Press / [2017-03-04]A (Short) Guide to Blockchain Consensus Protocols on: March 04, 2017, 01:43:43 PM
We hear plenty of talk of how public blockchains are going to change the world, but to function on a global scale, a shared public ledger needs a functional, efficient and secure consensus algorithm.

A consensus algorithm, like bitcoin's proof of work (the one we hear about most often), does two things: it ensures that the next block in a blockchain is the one and only version of the truth, and it keeps powerful adversaries from derailing the system and successfully forking the chain.

In proof of work, miners compete to add the next block (a set of transactions) in the chain by racing to solve a extremely difficult cryptographic puzzle. The first to solve the puzzle, wins the lottery. As a reward for his or her efforts, the miner receives 12.5 newly minted bitcoins – and a small transaction fee.

11539  Economy / Economics / Re: Remember when Bitcoin reached parity with the $ it's now just passed Gold on: March 04, 2017, 12:43:53 PM
Yes, A single bitcoin has surpassed the value of an ounce of gold for the first time
as its price surged to an all-time high. However, I want to see bitcoin become stable
the same characteristics of durability like gold or silver. And if bitcoin proves that
it has the kind of staying power as gold then mass adoptation will follow as well.
But it will still years I think to achieve a stable price for it. This is still just another
milestone in bitcoin history, to surpass the price of gold. So let's just enjoy the ride
and wait until March 11 and see what will happen.

11540  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Youtube partnership networks that pay in BTC? on: March 04, 2017, 11:29:23 AM
Hi there, I was wondering if any of you guys here know if there is a MCN/sub network on youtube which pays the adrevenue in bitcoin?
If so, please link me their site and application requirements.

If there isn't one yet, would you guys think there would be enough animo ( interests ) to create one, or not?

I don't know if there is one right now, you may want to try PopChest. It is a blockchain-based
media distribution platform that allows content and video creators to get paid.  On PopChest,
users would be paid in bitcoins, which means much more flexibility is offered in terms of
what can be done with the earnings. You can use your YouTube to advertise your content in PopChest.

Here's a few read: https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/video-experiment-shows-youtube-stars-can-earn-more-revenue-with-bitcoin-micropayments-1463499434/

Here's PopChest website: https://popchest.com
