I want to know whether or not Satoshi attempted to advertise about bitcoin in other forums like developers are doing with their altcoins here?
Paying money to spread the words about bitcoin? or the coding enthusiasts were attracted like a magnet to metal?
I believe altcoins are fake metal painted as metal but fake that is why they spend large amounts that at investors expense.
According to the most community members it's OK if they're scamming people by insta mining or large premined amounts or forging a false market support as long as they can invest in ICO's and have a profit they don't really care about the rest.

Bitcoin is the only genuine and pure cryptocurrency while other coins developers are lurking behind their monitors waiting to grab money from greedy and retarded[1] people.

[1]-they purposely help to hurt the community while neglecting they're the ones getting hurt at the end.

That's an interesting question, and I wasn't around in 2009 so I don't have an answer.  However, after bitcoin caught on, all of these shitcoins absolutely need all the marketing they can get, simply because they offer no advantage over bitcoin.  So Satoshi did not need any of these gimmicks you see nowadays--he introduced bitcoin itself.  Everything else is a smelly turd compared to that.  Perhaps some of the older members will chime in on what it was like back in the day.

altcoin developers are advertising their altcoin in order to get people to invest in their ICO and we already know that almost all of them are scam techniques to replace the pre-mine method of scamming with altcoins.
so i am going to say no, satoshi never advertised bitcoin like altcoin developers!

Satoshi is different than any other altcoin developers in many aspects because alt dev this days are developing clones just to earn very good amount of money out of it either by running ICO or dumping their premined coins once listed in exchanges. Satoshi have never sold his bitcoins and actually he haven't revealed himself to take credit of his invention which proves he is not behind any personal benefit like alt devs have these days.

I don't think he needed to do this. There wasn't anything really like bitcoin, and obviously not everyone understood it. So advertising would have likely not have made a difference. We could also see that till 2012, it didn't get almost any traction either.

No he didnt advertise anything like digital cryptocurrency .he just introduced it to the people .by the year 2011 it gained popularity as people started using bitcoins as a mode of transaction and other stuff. And no one can compete it and other altcoins are just copying them and trying to gain popularity which is not going to happen.

Not at all.

In fact there was probably a year or two where nobody really knows about bitcoin. And then it just took off in like 2010 and it was the subject of talk of every tech geek at the time. In 2013 there was the ATH back then, obviously broken just a week ago.

There are people who promote bitcoin heavily, like Mr. Ver back in the days. But Satoshi himself didn't really do that much.

You have to realise that the only reason altcoin devs promote their coins is for their own benefits. The more people buy into their crowdsale, the better. It's about monetary reward, whilst in Satoshi's case it's not.

bitcoin was released to limited group of people not a widespread advertisement. it was cryptography mailing list according to Wikipedia[1] and then the paper was released and eventually it was released as an open source program publicly to anyone.
i wasn't around back then but also i don't remember reading anywhere about advertising bitcoin like what you have in mind.

This is interesting question, i also want to know where he began. It must be more difficult to make everyone accept it in first released of bitcoin.

Bitcoin in the early days spread via Word of mouth and some obscure cypher forums and chat newsgroups. Wences and those guys were very exited by this technology and they spoke to many people and these people spoke to other people and some of these discussions ended up in news papers and online articles.

They did not have to pay for advertisers that early, because it was still relatively small. ^smile^

If Satoshi has followed several methods to advertise as well promote bitcoin through different services for business profits same as altcoins, now bitcoin would have grown much higher or sometimes it could have gone down. I believe bitcoin have gained popularity through word of mouth spreading. The same is not possible with the existing altcoins. So for them to be successful advertising is required.

actually what you said is the reason to do it, since bitcoin was completely new, advertising it was a good move, for us Hostfat advertised it on some other forum, but i remember i ignored it at that time...

but i don't think he did it, because basically at the beginning there was only him mining, this prove that there was nearly to no advertisement

satoshi not only advertise bitcoin, but using bitcoin as a payment for advertisements, perhaps faucet and some websites that pay for advertising with bitcoin is also included. because nakamato satoshi very nice in recuit development team bitcoin and then bitcoin have beautiful effect domino, neatly arranged by the system and circulation in want, have a downfall the right, a step to put the victory in want, and fall right into a correct prediction. BUMP, with winner in hand !

Satoshi never advertised op, a simple Google search would have found it for you. He was never into advertising and he made a currency which he could use and people could use without being under the lens, which was centralized, if he wanted the lime light, he would never have disappeared as simple as that. He never begged for attention or asked people to use Bitcoins and in the ultimate sacrifice he gave up his identity, so it's out of question that he ever advertised. He was a visionary and it's thanks to him we are making the extra money.

Obviously he never advertised Bitcoin as other altcoin developers doing it right now. There were very less transactions for many years. People didn't bother about it and just kept on thinking that it's another scam scheme. But those who invested, trusted and understood Bitcoin are a success now.

how can bitcoin without ads? And how can altcoin is a coin counterfeit of bitcoin?, But I'm sure the team dev bitcoin also had a split in it, with the flow of money of more than 100 million $ bitcoin definitely have a team, and the team also advertise bitcoin with to market at the beginning of such ads.

I don't think Satoshi ever advertised bitcoin like alt-developers are doing right now.
And I don't think he even do any social media advertisement (Facebook, Twitter etc) as well.
Remember, he is also a private person, so promoting his bitcoin project is not his cup of tea.
I think it probably spread like word of mouth, a friend of a friend who happens to know about
bitcoin.

Personally, I heard bitcoin when I was doing freelancing work back in the days.
But I didn't take notice of, but its never to late I guess, So I started with my
bitcoin journey a few years ago.

And remember the pizza guy? I think he did contribute in promoting bitcoin in way back in 2010.

Bitcoin saw organic growth with advertising by people talking passionate about something new they found.

The altcoins have to prove that they are worthy cryptocurrencies, hence all the advertising they need to do. The altcoin followers are also less loyal to the altcoins and can switch in a few clicks from a full supporter for one coin to that of the next.

He did not need it at all, because the first users did the advertising for himself. What I mean is Bitcoin in the eyes of many users saw the potential of it and started using it for faucets, payment for services, and for gambling sites, which is still being done until now. It turned out to be a good thing because until now Bitcoin is the most successful cryptocurrency. Altcoins right now need to advertise their currency to prove a point that it can be as good as Bitcoin.

Nope, it's just the price boom from $0.09 to $12, that alone brought in enough miners to make CPU mining impossible
