I saw this option on the new forum Smiley 'deactivate my account' I think it what it was called. Maybe he's onto something here... (or maybe not  Shocked)

I would be HIGHLY surprised if they reversed decisions and allowed people to delete accounts.  Just a lot of issues like does it take posts down?  What if they are in part of a scam.. you kinda want those posts there.

Also if you had the power to deactivate your account if a account was compromised they might do this.... and owner would most likely have to wait.  So I just see a lot of downside and no good.    And I still think OP was a troll.

with fan pointed down  it pulls cooler air from below.

you can try an infra red gun to find the hot spots

http://www.amazon.com/HDE-Non-Contact-Infrared-Temperature-Thermometer/dp/B002YE3FS4

Phil is pointing you twords an amazing tool I use one similar to this more often then I ever thought I would.   So nice to walk in mining area and get reads around machines and see my CFM's get maximum effect.  With summer heats coming (and raising some already) I use it more and more.

I'm surprised on RM series I have 2 RM1000's and they always worked fine for me no heatsinks.  So not sure if made nicer then smaller ones or what.  But I have had them for quite a while with good luck.

......

they waited for me to sell those 9 at 450   Roll Eyes

Could you sell a few more to drive the price even higher???   Smiley

More to the point though, it looks like most folks will have guessed too high, me included.   Sad

yeah but a few people still could hit it.

I guess I could sell 2 more tonight  at 468.

would leave me coinless.

maybe I will sell them.

I always have problems selling, just so much memories/sweat and tears in it.  I do pay electric bill out of it as if I did not I would go pretty deep in investing quick.   I can't even think of my sell number.

I also don't think I could sell them all, it makes me feel like I have skin in the game that + miners.  Makes it more fun for me.   But I agree one day I would not mind fiat for some I have saved up.... just not quite to where i feel ready to sell them.

Looks like we are going back up ;-)

408904 (Main Chain)   2016-04-25 21:48:28

408792 (Main Chain)   2016-04-25 00:19:49

113 blocks in about 22 hours  should be 132

so  we are 19 blocks under today

Yeah, my affirmation is wrong, we are still steady at the moment. I was sure the hashrate was going back up ;-)

What scares me is once they get next gen chips lined out.   Then speculation goes out the door it's all guessing.  The good news is still the price.  Man has it been w a good week on it.

Going around 468... I mean we might hit 500 in not to long if it keeps this up which is great.

people are to much taken with the best solution...
they forget the less best solutions...
they forget that it is often possible to do both...
I can programme my sites...
but often you need concentration...and the environment is not the best to programme...
I never programme when I watch TV...
But then I can claim faucets.
Of course claiming faucet is waste of time...
But I claim only faucets when I have 20 seconds to spend and generally during I do other things.
So faucets are for me never waste of time.
I waste more time on forums than on faucets (lol)

Faucets are a waste of time no matter what your doing.  So you can spend hours of tv time claiming faucets?   That is not a very fun way to watch tv.   And you might get a few dollars a month if your do many many hours.

It takes your attention as you have to put capatcha on most.. so you are putting all your attention on it.  Also you are using more electricity then you make off faucet.  So you are losing money.   No one can ever convince me faucets are good way to spend time.  Only a very few get decent pay they are owners or big reffers.
1166  Other / Meta / Re: Delete my account or ban me on: April 24, 2016, 11:26:24 PM
what's the point on doing this?? You could just left it and don't log in. Instead of trying to delete or ban it making the mods to waste time on you.

Almost seems like a troll possibly asking for a ban on a 3 post account.  But mods don't delete accounts and for good reasons.  Think of if we allowed this scammers could get everything nuked off forum.

So you will not get it deleted no matter what you do.  And you cannot ask for ban... it is earned.
1167  Other / Meta / Re: Please unban my account on: April 24, 2016, 11:22:20 PM
What exactly did you think was going to happen when you make 40 posts a day as a signature campaign participant? In addition to your very high activity/post ratio for a new member, you were copy-pasting replies.

I hope moderators would help me with this matter to unban my account.
It depends on who handles the case. If it were up to me, assuming that this is your first severe strike, 3-6 months minimum is what I'd recommend. We definitely dislike copy-paste.
Okay sir thank you for giving a feedback regarding my case. I hope that I will get a response soon from other mod that handles my case and hoping that will he give me a pardon.

I think you misunderstood you will not get unbanned right now.  Your being told to take 3-6 months come back and ask then for being unbanned.   It is not a short process, it is meant to teach you and also prevent others seeing the ban for doing things such as this case copy/paste is a pretty big deal.

Also make sure you DO NOT use another account during this period your banned.  One of worst things you can do is ban evasion.   So make sure you wait your time and only post here in meta about ban.
1168  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Diff thread Apr 14 to Apr 28? picks are now closed.... prize = 0.2 btc on: April 24, 2016, 11:13:14 PM
Coinbase hit 463, so still looking very nice.  I'm very happy to be over 460. And bitwisdom went down a little bit:

Bitcoin Difficulty:    178,678,307,672
Estimated Next Difficulty:    183,619,602,355 (+2.77%)
Adjust time:    After 463 Blocks, About 3.2 days
Hashrate(?):    1,252,857,517 GH/s

So lower difficulty change and a big upswing on price.  This has the making of a great difficulty change period.
1169  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Diff thread Apr 14 to Apr 28? picks are now closed.... prize = 0.2 btc on: April 24, 2016, 04:50:26 AM
all good news coins on coin base  are 458.

*just focusing on this Smiley rest above

I have said for a few difficulty periods I would be happy hitting 450... and we blew threw sell wall's.  I could not be happier right now seeing increase past what I thought.   I do admit after being in this game so long my speculation is not the most optomistic as I try to stay grounded... and weather good and bad.

But to almost be 460.. WOW.. we are going places.  Is this a sign before having we will see a nice increase? I sure hope so!   I don't think investors will wait till near having... so hopefully we see a nice build up well before.

And all of this helps miners as we are competing with mega mines at this point.
1170  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help the newbie on: April 24, 2016, 04:28:28 AM
IMO cloud minings are not profitable unless you gather a lot of referrals and if you invest a lot of money in it. Like they said, there is really no safe investment when it comes to online and in bitcoin. Everything has it's risk that you can loose your coins

Not to mention almost all cloud mining is a scam sadly... it is true at this point.  I think a lot simulate mining and send some back as simulating mining, but they don't ever pay back full investment.  Only one you stand a chance is hashnest.

I have been suggesting to people to buy S7's and ship to a data center over cloud mining lately.  Just makes more sense in most cases.
1171  Other / Meta / Re: DDoS extortion on: April 24, 2016, 04:25:10 AM
10BTC for some DDoS on a forum? that's just ridiculous.

Extortion is ridiculous to begin with.  I'm glad theymos shared so we know whats going on if site slows down, or worst stops.  But if you pay them once... they will come back again wanting more chances are.  So who ever doing it is a idiot to think they will get payment.

Heck on the big hack on DB a while back theymos offered reward for tips/telling who did attack.  I like this side much better find a way to legally get the person trying to do this in court.
1172  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 Discussion and Support Thread on: April 24, 2016, 12:54:31 AM
For the S4, its already too late. They are not that much more efficient then an S3. It pretty much reached the bottom of the depreciation curve.

I could be wrong but I think it still can half again in value based on S2 value's.   If you go ebay with S4 currently ( I know riskier) but you likely can get 220-250 area.  If you look at S2's likely closer to 100.  So they will go down more.

And if you sell you could get around 1/2 of a S7.  I would rather have 1/2 of S7 or buy BTC with it then a S4 personally.  And if you can get 1/2 of S7 it is faster and more efficient.

But I would agree there is some time/effort in selling that can be a pain vs just mining it out.

It is permanently banned I dont even remember why because it was so long ago, but I ban evaded on my second account ...

How can you learn if you do not know what you did? Looking at original account I'm going to guess had to do with small or one liner posts that added no content to threads.  And ban evasion ontop of not knowing what he did.... I think this is a permaban for a reason and wont be undone (at least not anytime soon).

Because I was banned for 7 days and then ban evaded on my second account, but I will never do anything like this again.

Was original ban for short/posts that added no content?  Was it to do with posting crap post with sig?  Still you need to know what reason was for 7 day, it's hard to believe you forgot reason.

With ban evasion best chance of coming back is saying you learned your lesson.  I think your post saying you did not remember really hurts any chance you had.  With ban evasion and all said, I would guess you remain banned.   But that is for people far above me, that is my speculation though.
1174  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to collect BTC ?? on: April 23, 2016, 10:07:32 PM
collect bitcoins through faucets, gambling, signature campaigns, avatar campaigns, offer your services , skills and talents.
The only way to earn from gambling without risking bitcoin is using faucet only. It is possible but takes a lot of time to reach a deposit.
faucet is without risk, but it also is not worth even without risk, since the results were very small.
the only one best way without risk is a signature campaign.

Agreed, if you are investing your time and energy then you should expect returns according to the efforts your are putting, and signature campaign can offer you that.

All people do not see only the return...all people do not like write all the day "faucets are bad" and "sign campaign are good"...just to earn satoshi...(lol)

Faucets are bad due to you spend hours for cents of payment.  It's the amount of time and payment that make them bad.  It's a good idea... just pay does not equal out.   Sig campaigns if used right can be good.  If you treat it as a bonus and do your normal forum posting... that is good deal.  If your spamming and not normal posting habits then it's bad.

So I would say faucets bad due to pay, sig's depend on your use of them.
1175  Other / Meta / Re: Unban please? on: April 23, 2016, 10:01:10 PM
This is a strange forum, if you spam like "hi" 20x on these forums, you can get permanent banned

But if you scam someone and have a -30 rating score , you can continue scamming on the forum

There is a large difference between spamming and social engineering (scamming)

That being that social engineering (scamming) is worse!
However, the forum hav elittle evidence to remove eople. There are some users that are on -9999 trust ratingand are still on the forum.

Also forum does not stop scammers, they are kinda dealt with by trust rating.  Scamming is hard to stop to... so if they did take ownership of it they would spend a tone of time and still would be scammers.

Spammer's are something they can take care of, and need to.  Spam makes forum unreadable in some places.  With large userbase a lot of it is reported by members making it easier and less time consuming on staff (I think).

But on OP the entire point of months of waiting is to learn from what you did  to say:

Very clean setup I like it  a lot.  Looks like you paid attention to details.  Mind if I ask about electricity price?  To put in 80 wondering what rate you managed to get.

Best of luck though with mining!
1177  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 Discussion and Support Thread on: April 23, 2016, 09:48:20 PM
Hiya,

Has anyone had good results underclocking the S4?

MM

The best I could get was 0.6W/GHS from the wall with the stock PSU.

In most cases you would be better off selling it and going with S7 wiith coupon and a PSU.  You will get at least twice as much efficiency maybe a tad more.   Also PSU can be used on many miners.

Only sad thing is I think S4 is last bitmain all in one.  But... I still say sell over keeping for sentimental.  And you can get much better efficiency.

Yeah but the miner is all paid for at least. So everyday it turns a profit instead of running an S7 for months to get ROI.

True but the longer you hold onto it the less it will be worth.  This is the problem I have with past gen miners.  At some point (unless free electricity) there is a time you make more by selling then you ever will by mining.

Due to my electrical price I sold all previous gen S5, Avalon 4.1, SP20.  I came out far ahead as I sold and bought BTC with it.   If I would have held.... I would have mined less and value goes down.  So make sure to do some math behind it as different for everyone.  But for me selling was the best option for getting most possible ROI.
1178  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer S7 B10 Failure on: April 23, 2016, 09:44:46 PM
Hmmm... I've been adviced not to do firmware upgrades. Now im at the crossroads.

I have always updated to latest firmware for 20 or so of my S7s without any issues, and they are all hashing like new. I did it through VPN connections since they are at 2 different data centers.

One bad flash or electrical loss and you will be very mad at yourself for doing a bitmain firmware.   Read the stories there are many horror stories, and you normally don't gain much.

Mine was a S3 that failed, ever since I don't upgrade bitmain gear unless 100 percent necessary.  Just a lot of bad possibilities for very little good.
1179  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: pH Miners Launches Powerful Cryptocurrency Miners for Bitcoin on: April 23, 2016, 09:41:14 PM
well, i made sure that their website was shut down , they used a fraudulent sales tax id number  contacted the domain provider who in turn shut them down, phones are no longer active.

at least they will not be scamming anyone else  for a bit until they resurface as some other company.

what amazes me is that all of these so call free lance reporters that published this garbage did not take the time to due their due diligence on this company, and risk their reputation !

Looking at website I'm not sure that it is shutdown.  They have a message saying "This site has exceeded the allotted bandwidth.".  So someone could have been mad... and attacked and used up bandwidth.  Normally if taken down they would say taken down to to TOS I think.

So you might see this pop up again once they are on next period of bandwidth.   But hopefully no one buys... they should read forums before purchases.
