1161  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: January 06, 2024, 06:35:28 AM
I was in argument with someone. His view is that people who gamble are those that what they have is not sufficient for them and so they try to make more money from gambling. He said if you have sufficient money to take care of your needs that you won't think of gambling. He made reference to some rich people, who don't gamble because they have sufficient money to even gift to charity but that those rich who still gamble are only addicted to it not just because of the money. Therefore, that the percentage of the rich gambling is very small compared to those in middle class and lower class.
I don't really think so. The rich plays gamble more often than even the poor, but because theu don't see them in offline casino where they can be assembling with the street boys, it now looks like they don play gamble like the poor. What they do is to open online account where they play games with huge amount of money with lesser odd compeard to the poor. And they often have more  winning than the poor because the chances of there wining is high.

Another thing you should know is that making money knows no boundaries. No one is too rich to say h/she will not continue hustling. What the poor does is what the rich also do. the rich is Playing gambling to win bigger and enlarge his wealth, while the poor is playing to be rich. so I see no difference between the rich and the poor and there gambling strategy.

Your last paragraph is accurate, the difference between the rich and poor is money, yet it doesn't change the human behavior in them; greed. Everyone get interested whenever money is discussed, including the filthy rich. So, saying that the rich don't gamble is not accurate, anybody can be a gambler. Like you mentioned in the first paragraph of yours, that the rich may not be seen in offline casinos, but it doesn't mean they don't participate in gambling. They also have a casino for VIP where they spend time and have fun with other like minds. Hence, not everyone gamble due to insufficient amount of money. It's a choice to gamble, and gamblers have personal reasons why they've chosen to participate in gambling. The person in Op's narrative is not fully aware of how gambling works, that's why he's arguing that the rich don't gamble because they've already got lots of money.
1162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why gambling beginners must not joke with casino announcement on: January 06, 2024, 06:26:57 AM
It is very natural for new sites to emerge in the world of casino gambling. Not all sites are good and not all are bad. But what we need to do as newbies is to develop enough awareness. Many of us join new gambling sites only because of more bonus but do not check if the site is legit or not. A gambler can't know all these things first  but there are some things that we can observe if we are able to guess a bit whether the site is legit or not. If a new site has withdrawal complications, has any withdrawal restrictions, and if the site is slow and runs a small number of games, those sites must be suspicious of whether the site is legit or not. Of course a gambler should be aware of all those things. In excess of greed one should not do anything by which they loss all their assets.
It is important to check all the announcements of the site promoted on this forum, especially check how the withdrawal and deposit process is after that see how the site works faster or slower than other gambling sites, the point is that getting more positive feedback is very important, don't be too hasty in Choosing the casino site you want to play on, everything must be carefully considered so as not to lose assets.

I may be a tester on new sites but usually I look at their minimum withdrawal amount and don't focus too much on their bonuses, it is true that every new site will give a welcome bonus to all new users but it is worth noting that there are terms and conditions that need to be read in order Don't make mistakes before playing, the average gambler doesn't want to read too much into it. Whether it is valid or not requires time to research it more deeply.  Wink

Not all crypto casino have an ANN in this forum, and it doesn't mean the casino is bad. What is relevant is doing a due research on the casino, then ask question in this forum if anyone has ever used such a casino. Some casino that opened an Ann in this forum already showed that opening an ANN doesn't guarantee being trustworthy, by deceiving some members and taking away their money. Hence, it's worth the time and money for a gambler to look out for the news on a casino before depositing money on the platform. Gamblers who get carried away by the bonuses these casinos promise, are not experienced and only gamble for greed. They don't wager their own money first, but forget that after playing with the bonuses they'll easily get moved to spend their own money, which then can be used in swindling them away. Asking questions online is a nice activity for gamblers, they'll need to have good research skill not to be deceived.
1163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A tip for staying resposible while gambling. on: January 06, 2024, 06:11:29 AM
from this discussion the conclusion is that to gamble responsibly you must have a strong desire, discipline, commitment and consistency, isn't that right?
sometimes we ourselves find it too complicated to interpret the word gambling responsibly and sometimes we also have difficulty doing this, even though everything is very easy, it's just that sometimes we think too much about very complicated things.

like whatever we talk about here, it's all about tips for gambling responsibly and just imagine we start from the simplest way of planning a budget and stop after losing or after winning and this is very easy for us to do but what's difficult is only our own minds think gambling responsibly is a very difficult endeavor to undertake.
Yes, every gambler must own everything you mentioned so they will not fall into gambling. Maybe we don't need to interpret it too complicatedly and just need to understand that gambling requires clear restrictions so that we don't gamble excessively. We must be able to use it as a free time activity and immediately stop gambling when we start gambling for too long. By practicing everything, we can use gambling as it is and will not try to chase the win because it will not be easy to get.

If everything can be done responsibly, we can enjoy gambling as entertainment and fill our free time. We will not consider how to recover from previous losses or win bigger wins. Everything will only be done with self-control and awareness that enjoying gambling is the most important thing and not chasing the end result. Some people may want to win or recover from their losses, but as long as they realize it won't be easy, they won't be eager to get it.

Staying responsible while gambling is crucial in any gambler's life, it's not an easy task, but the strategies which elevates responsible gambling should be practiced by gamblers. As the outcome of being compulsive in gambling, is demeaning in the life of gamblers. It's a personal choice though, but at some point, gamblers don't have a choice. They forget about all the strategies they've learnt before participating in gambling. It could be as a result of not being attentive to the amount of money that has been wagered while gambling, then after the day is over, the gambler begin to worry about how he'd lost all the money he had for other things. Gamblers need to stay attentive and not lose out control. Losing money in gambling is as a result of lost of control. The discipline to remember our gambling strategies is crucial. However, if a gambler is not prepared to remember the advise and strategies shared by other members, they can craft theirs, which would be easier to recur like Op did.
1164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Low cost but effective solutions to gambling addiction on: January 06, 2024, 05:58:05 AM
That is one way to prevent gambling addiction which is to distract yourself with something much better like exercising. We know that people use gambling as an excuse sometimes a distraction to themselves where they can entertain themselves and forget all their problems, which can worsen their situation by just simply losing more money in the house. Plus sometimes they are not that aware of that addiction cause it's already been part of their lifestyles, unless someone points out that gambling is really bad if overdone. They wouldn't quit for just a day for sure, but they would think about it, and would take time for them to realize that gambling won't do anything good for them. I gambling as well, but I don't think that I can consider myself addicted as I don't think it about all the time maybe rarely when I have the time. It might be the reason of too busy in the world.
Physical exercise is an excellent type of activity if the player does not know what to do other than play. Sometimes it even happens that thanks to a spontaneous decision to play sports, it can switch our brain and we will stop gambling altogether and devote ourselves to a new and useful hobby. Of course, I understand that this will be very rare, but perhaps it will save several destroyed families. I noticed that professional players often play sports or were athletes in the past, probably this helps them achieve results and they draw some analogies to achieve their goals. They have a sense of purpose, but apparently they also have some other qualities that allow them to be more successful than others.

Minimizing the amount of money the gambler is entitled to, can help in curing the gambler. Because if he's mainly redirecting his actions to other activities, then he needs not to gamble one bit. Although, the person would begin to forget his gambling habit gradually while participating in real games like sport, yet his urge to gamble doesn't leave him entirely. If he has money left on him, he'd definitely going to gamble, because his brain still get enticed whenever the gambling thought arrives. So, restricting his cash flow during the healing period, can be effective. A loved one can be handling the money, and buy whatever he, the addict, wants. The goal is to make sure whenever gambling thoughts crosses his minds, he wouldn't game. I noticed that giving any activity that we engage in a break can help us have a rethink of the habit and reevaluate whether we are getting too attached to it or not. An addict, who doesn't gamble for weeks can easily think otherwise of his previous lifestyles.
1165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The most logical and profitable game on: January 06, 2024, 05:39:43 AM
I don't think any game is the most profitable in gambling. Even the dice games that looks easier to predict a side, is hard to win. Playing games like black roulette staking on the high possibility sides red and black looks promising in yielding money, yet winning isn't guaranteed. Those who participate in sport games don't have a better winning possibility, even if they gamble on fewer games. Hence, as a sport gambler whatever outcome we get is dependent on the strategies we implement. Games like slot depends on the house edge, so playing according to what the house has for the gambler is crucial. The strategies for minimizing our expenses is worth it, as the only thing gamblers can control. No need to think of anything else like a trick that yields gamblers some win. It doesn't exist in gambling. However, we could be getting a small win while gambling, that doesn't mean we'll wouldn't win big. It's just a way of staying on the safe lane while gambling.
1166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: why do people always play gambling even if they always lose? on: January 06, 2024, 05:20:37 AM
Does this hope of a gambler to win in gambling ever die ? No matter, how much one loses in gambling, still the hope of winning is there ?
That i really strange, isn't ?

I tried to find out the reason for this gambler's behavior and thought that maybe the gamblers see other people's big wins and are inspired by them. Perhaps the gamblers thought since other gamblers can win in gambling, why can't they. They are of the view that if they keep on trying, one day they will have success in gambling and they may hit a jackpot and change their lives altogether.

However, i must insist that gamblers should not be too much optimistic and also they should keep track of their losses and make sure that they do not invest too much money, that they feel depressed about losing that amount of money. There is no harm in keeping on trying but still one should be responsible and not be too much relaxed.
A gambler's hope of winning will never die, and this hope will be even greater if they can win a small amount of money. They will continue to gamble and think that they are getting closer to their big win and should not stop before they get their big win. But that will not allow them to get a big win, but instead will get a loss.

We will not know the reasons for the gambler's behavior because there are many reasons they will say, especially if they often see big wins made by other people. This inspires them, so it will make them gamble more often than usual because they still have those hopes in their minds. They still think that one day they will be successful from gambling but they don't think about what if it turns out they only lose and end up with a serious gambling addiction.

There must be awareness among gamblers to use only what is necessary so that they lose more money than they can afford. This is to prevent feelings of guilt because you have not been able to win the gambling game. And it's true, there's no harm in playing gambling responsibly and relaxedly so that we can keep ourselves within the limits of gambling. We also shouldn't force ourselves to gamble, especially if we have already won, regardless of the winning amount.

If a gambler can expect to win and maintain a responsible gambling, then he wouldn't have any problem in his gambling journey. The aim of most gamblers is to have a jackpot someday. That's why they'll continue gambling even if they always lose. That goal doesn't go off easily, it keep recurring in the gambler's brain and he wouldn't stop if he wins. Hence, gambling is an activity for gamblers, which can't be forgotten easily. Our aim of gambling differs and we can't say for sure, but I'd say that when losing lots of money while gambling, I wouldn't gamble anymore because it seems uncertain what could be the next outcome. Contrarily, others see it as an opportunity to stake more money, and earn lots of money if a win result eventually shows up. Sometimes it'll work while in most scenario it wouldn't work out. Such people also need to know about the need to manage their money and stop when it seems unsafe to gamble. Losing continuously is not advisable.
1167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gamblers do retired betting gambles on: January 06, 2024, 05:02:41 AM
Gambling is more of an activity that lives with us for long period and if we continue doing it at old age, that wouldn't sound weird. The only difference in the world today is that young gamblers only worry about themselves being the type of people eligible to gamble. It's made mainly for everyone in the world, except the younger people. Hence, the appropriate age to stop gambling can't be determined, provided the gambler is still strong health wise. Elderly people wants to enjoy their old age, and shouldn't be questioned about the things they do, wonder why nobody asks them questions regarding their drinking habit. Which is almost similar to the gambling habit. People have activities or duties that interests them, and those practice isn't meant to be removed from their life, else they'll not be happy. I recommend aged people to stay active and participate in lots of activities as possible. Because a boring life shouldn't be a part of anybody's life. The brain needs to stay working and active.
1168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling for fun, is it a lie that we tell ourselves? on: January 05, 2024, 09:53:37 PM
~snip~
What gamblers feel about gambling is not expected to be the same, due to the need that led a person to participate in gambling. It's not to be a general problem, like Op thought. The goal of gamblers in some age brackets would be for money, while others thinks it's fun, and the rest only play to master strategies that can be implemented in life. Although those who play for money have a big PR and are populous. Casinos also use their PR to create more awareness about the business and yield more customers. If a gambler is for the fun, he'll get it and enjoy his money while gambling. Anxiety only erupts when the gambler is after money and doesn't enjoy his money. Because it's as if he's paying to earn more money or investing his money for more profits. They see gambling as a business and end up feeling that those who enjoy gambling for fun are not or lying about it. I'd conclude that it's just a misunderstanding.
Gamblers don't feel the same when they gamble, and that's because they use different gambling games, so they get different experiences. But when they lose, it is the same as losing money at the gambling table, and even though they try to recover their losses, it will not be easy for them, and they can experience even bigger losses. Those who really aim to make money from the moment they start gambling will probably experience more losses than other gamblers because gambling is not a place to make money but just to have fun. Gamblers should be able to choose to have fun rather than win because there is uncertainty about when they can get that win. It is also true that those of us who have lost at gambling are lying if we have enjoyed gambling, and that is what is experienced by those who try to chase their winnings. But those who really aim to have fun from gambling just feel the pleasure and don't think much about the losses they experience because that is the risk of gambling.

Losing money is never funny, depending on what we spent the money on, and how important it'll be to the growth of the person economically. That's the main reason people are told to learn money management through gambling. Because we all have lots of games to participate in gambling. Hence the way we think shouldn't be considered similar, as the motive ain't the same. But, a gambler who possess some money management skill, he'd be able to utilize it while gambling, and on the real life business. Not everybody will ever get the fun via gambling. Some gamblers who understands the purpose of gambling. Don't need to rush to stake games in gambling. Monitoring every move we make in gambling, helps us to learn, while others are bothered about their lost money. The authority has been handed to the player, to decide how he wants to gamble. And nobody should complain about, how he's feeling, when the game get void. Happy or sad.
1169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: why do people always play gambling even if they always lose? on: January 05, 2024, 09:41:58 PM
It's not magical, it's psychological.
This is the key. They know they shouldn't keep betting, but a kind of compulsion drives them to do so. As for what the OP asks where they get the money to keep doing it, there are many ways, savings, quick loans, credit cards, selling things. All to keep fueling their addiction. In this they are not much different from a drug addict, the most notable difference being that they do not consume a substance, it is the brain that secretes it.
To be honest, I believe gambling addiction is far more dangerous than drug addiction. A drug addict can be healed with medicine and proper care, they can take anti-drug supplements and prevent the urge through that, but you can barely find an anti-gambling thing when you are completely addicted to it. It might not be visible physically when you get addicted to gambling unlike drug addicts, but it keeps eating you from the inside, starting from your brain and mind.

This is why gambling should be controlled at the instant when a person feels that they are getting addicted to it and if they don't stop, they will ruin everything in their lives. What's unfortunate is that most gamblers don't realize where they are headed when they first start gambling which is why they don't think of controlling.

Gambling control is required the very moment a person wants to venture into the niche, as it could be too late when he begins to feel he's getting addicted. The way addiction works, it's not easily noted by the gambler. He'd think whatever is his actions are still on a good behavior. Nobody wants to end up addicted to gambling, but unknowingly, gamblers get addicted because of how unnoticeable its symptoms appears in the life of the gambler. Instead of a newbie to gamble without prior knowledge on the necessity of gambling, he should look out for other daily activities to spend his time. Addiction doesn't care about who is new to the game or not. That's why we all have to be prepared at all times not to fail in keeping up with our strategies and promise to ourselves, not to spend more than we can lose. Gambling addiction also has no cross addiction possibility. In terms of distracting the addicted person to focus on something else other than gambling, the therapist need to work hard in engaging the addicted person to try out new assignments with his time.
1170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should mentally unstable people be allowed to gamble? on: January 05, 2024, 09:31:33 PM
From the story, I doubt that he's a completely mentally unstable person. It's clear to me that this person is still on his usual self and not even behaving strangely, as the attendant also mentioned. This person also knows how to associate with other gamblers there and not do anything to bring trouble to all people on the casino's premises.

To answer the question now, if mentally unstable are allowed to gamble, of course they are allowed. That's their free will. If they know what they are doing, why should we stop them? And who has the authority to not allow these type of people to gamble? Not unless the casino establishment will implement such rules on their casino.

Discovering who is mentally ill or not, is not an easy task. Lots of gamblers are mentally disordered people, not just the addicts. Although the government are looking at helping addicts out of their problem gambling, which is the primary aim of the health care centers in the developed countries where gambling is legalized. Yet, reaching out to the mentally ill people is quite difficult, as not every body's illness is obvious or noticeable by the crowd. So, in the case of people like the man in Op's narration, they are not mainly mentally unstable, it could be he's not well dressed because of the type of work he does. Being mentally unstable doesn't mean the person needs to look for other people's trouble. Sometimes they only face the trouble of mentally illness when they're alone in their room. It occurs in different ways that's why the government may not be able to execute properly this type of rule on gambling activities.
1171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's Your Feeling After You Finish Gambling. on: January 05, 2024, 09:24:20 PM
But after finishing the game what's your overall feeling how did you overcome this feeling and how many hours or days did it last?

Be honest with yourself and vote on the poll on What's Your Feeling After You Finish Gambling?
Voted for the second option: Enjoy.
After many years of participating in gambling games, I learned to enjoy the game regardless of the result of the game. I realized for myself that I can’t go all-in and spend an amount on a bet that I will regret and suffer from the consequences. Now I only play for small amounts that I don’t mind to lose and treat it like a ticket to an attraction and the main task is to have fun, this is no longer about hunting for a big win.

Experienced gamblers like yourself wouldn't get carried away by the common goal of most newbie gamblers; hunting for money. Taking the second options indicates how long you've been in the gambling niche. I've also been in the category of newbies, where I thought gambling is an avenue for winning money. Later I understood we all need to have a knowledge of gambling before participating in it. The journey is never to get rich quick or even earn money in the process. Gamblers now turn it into a career, which is not a good game for most players. Staying relaxed after playing gambling shows that a player enjoyed his money and doesn't regret one bit of his time spent while gambling. Hence, to remain on a good lane of gambling one doesn't need to follow the route of money, as he could be facing a bitter experience in his gambling journey. They've been multiple complaints of people who wouldn't accept that gambling is a fun game or activity, due to the fact their money has been lost while gambling.
1172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's Your Feeling After You Finish Gambling. on: January 05, 2024, 12:08:30 AM
Yup, it's true, but no matter how much we want to, we can't really say or avoid what we shouldn't do when it comes to gambling, there are many things that are hard to explain that even the gambler himself doesn't know what he feels. even if they want to follow the advice from other people, they can't do it and they have a hard time controlling themselves. They are aware that they may be becoming addicted to gambling, it's just that we only have our own timeline for how long it will take us to overcome the addiction.
We can still advise the person not to get too deep into gambling, especially if he can feel the consequences because he has experienced it before. He should also be able to realize that what he did was wrong and must be corrected by not doing it again. Maybe he will find it difficult to immediately stop his gambling activities so he can try to reduce his gambling activities first while trying to do other things that can divert his mind. If they can do this, they can reduce their gambling activities and will not be too dependent on gambling to get pleasure because they already have other things that can give them pleasure. Moreover, he can save his money to use it for other needs or just save it for the future.

Advising a gambler not to go deep into gambling can help him, but he also needs some hands to stop. I mean a person that'll be there for him and take him out to some other events which can help him have different thoughts on gambling. The ball is also on the court of the gambler, he'll also need to decide if he'd be interested in following an advise. If the player is interested in quitting gambling, then it'll be easier for the person's advise to work out and change him. But, it's not a simple process. Staying with them and controlling their thought works best, then holding their funds or card so that they won't deposit more money in gambling. Due to the mental disorder it may have caused the addict, the person acting as his therapist also need to have patience, until the brain begin to correct. Because while helping them manage the money they waste in gambling, the person could be acting strange or insisting that he'd want to gamble. So, anybody who wants to help an addicted player out of addiction should zero his mind to help them till the end.
1173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in gambling experts predictions? on: January 04, 2024, 11:50:38 PM
I want to ask, do you believe in experts gambling predictions?

I don't believe the experts.Gambling is largely based on luck and chance, but there are some strategies that can improve your chances of winning. No one can predict gambling outcomes with 100% accuracy. Although some experts may have a good understanding of the games, they are not able to predict the outcome with certainty. Gambling is a form of entertainment, it is your personal decision whether you choose to seek advice from gambling experts or not, but it is always wise to gamble within your means and not rely solely on expert opinions.

Gamblers only require the ability to trust their own predictions instead of an expert's idea. Predicting correctly, doesn't need any expert to do it, it's mainly a thing of luck, not being an expertise. Because it'll be hard to know what happens next in a game. Whether the player is certain about the past and what happened in the previous games, and is well versed in analysis, the gambler still need to hope on luck, as sports knows no master in prediction. A gambler who is concerned about having fun through gambling don't need such people to help him gamble. Most often it causes some trouble in the process and the gambler who relied on an expert would blame the person for his loss. To avoid such things, everyone need to take custody of his action in gambling. If he chooses to follow an expert then it should be seen as his own decision, hence he is not supposed to complain to anybody.
1174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice when you are going a bit far in gaming and betting on: January 04, 2024, 11:41:52 PM
It's generally risky to rely on gambling as a consistent income source due to the unpredictable nature of outcomes. It's advisable to have a stable and reliable source of income.Gambling should be for entertainment purposes only
There are many gamblers that relent on gambling to make money and there are people that also take gambling as there major work without having any other source of income. We need to be very careful how to make decisions concerning gambling because any negative thought could lead to gambling recklessness which could attract more gambling habit. The unpredictable nature of outcome could either lead to winning or loses. If we don't have any other money for us to use and bet, this can lead to a bigger problem for us as a gambler leading to borrowing or doing fraud just to win bets if there is no any other alternatives.

Indeed, it's really hard to resist the temptation of doing gambling. Gamblers will always find a way to gamble. Actually, the big reason why these gamblers always come back to gamble is because of the experience they felt when they won. They want to feel that experience over and over again that's why even these gamblers already losing a lot, they will still push their desire to have that winning experience again.

Because they want to feel that big experience again, they don't realized how much money they are losing now.

Trying to repeat same experience again only affects the gambler on the long run, and can lead them to problem gambling. The case of relying on gambling as the only source of income have affected lots of gamblers to lose out their money, then face anxiety and regrets. Which could lead to depression, and its not advisable for gamblers to stake money on games, while in a bad emotional state. Hence, gambling should be done when our mind is cool and brain thinks straight and accurate. It's all a matter of self control. The goal of every gambler is to avoid getting addicted and at least win. Nobody wants to get addicted, but with the loss of self control for money, most gamblers now get addicted. According to Op, avoiding some alcoholic drinks can help the gambler to stay in control and gamble with ease. Most people who lose money go ahead to purchase alcoholic drink to calm their thoughts, not realizing that it only worsens the situation.
1175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: January 04, 2024, 11:30:34 PM
Actually, people who are already addicted to gambling can’t just quit it in a day, but even though they are trying to quit the gambling addict, it will take time because being addicted to something will make it very hard for you to leave it just in a day.
Any gambler who is not sure if he can quit gambling is definitely addicted. For a non addict, there are certain outcomes you must see in gambling that will keep you in the game else your passion and interest will start reducing. It should be that the moment gambling becomes a huge burden to your finances, then there is every reason to either reduce your participation or stop for the moment. What constitue success in every business to take appraisals to know how well one has done or otherwise.

Even some non addicted gamblers find it very difficult not to gamble in a day even when they have self control over gambling and they are also on a losing streak. In gambling, any one who finds certain things to be very interesting there by making him to find it difficult not to stop gambling is already addicted to gambling. I bet you that most gamblers don't even keep record of their wins nor their losses even though some claim to be having good records. Do you know how many things some gamblers gamble in a day ? Will they have the courage to keep keeping daily record of their losses when it will affect them emotionally I think addiction happens when someone is already committed to doing a certain thing regardless of a positive and a negative outcomes.

Gambling addiction is not something a person can easily stop. It requires some time and dedication to control the problem gambling to an extent of quitting entirely. However, the symptoms starts when a non addict, begins to gamble lots of money and doesn't feel the need to stop. Instead he keeps going hoping to win more, in the process he then forgets the pains of losing out money. I think gamblers need not to keep records of how they gamble in a day. It's a matter of self determination. Those records have no changes in the brain of the gambler. He only needs the right advice to redirect his actions on saving himself from getting into the wrong direction of gambling. However, quitting gambling whether for a non addict and an addict is not simple. But, if a person is courageous enough not to gamble for few days he'll be able to forego gambling. The problem starts when the player is gambling each day, non stop.

I do if these are my friends or relatives, but I don't if they're random people. I know what I'm doing and if I need an opinion from someone I'll ask for it.
In a situation where you get harassed by other people because you're a gambler just walk away, don't escalate this. Those who start things up with you are either dumb or they want things to escalate because they're bored or something.
In general I don't tell people that I gamble, unless I see that they also do to avoid these situations.
There are people who are really that sensitive into those words that they might be able to hear around and there are ones who dont really care on what others been saying as long they have
done or do something on the things that they do like. We do know that when it comes to gambling then people would really be having that negative approach and views into it on which it isnt really that shocking anymore that negativity would be always there. Its true that it would really be just fine if those words could be heard from your loved ones or relatives but if it goes from other people
then you might be having those reactions which you might be ending up on having some argumentations but actually it isnt really that much of an issue as long you do
find yourself playing gambling just for fun.

In terms of family it'll be hard to overlook, as they'll be helpful when we are facing some disputes. Not just gambling, a lot more things could be an issue to the gambler in future. So, being attentive to what our family have to say regarding gambling, can help a gambler to understand what to do, whether to quit or continue the process. Most times our family may have noticed a symptom in our life, that made them comment about the gambling habit of the gambler. Which is not wrong to add response on a person's personal life. On the other hand, not every stranger would be considered as not making valuable response to a gambler's life. The only dispute is that, separation will definitely erupt, as gamblers don't like hearing such things, especially from a non gambler. As a gambler when people begin to talk, I don't respond or go into deep argument. The only thing I do is to have a rethink if the person is adding some meaningful advice to me or I'm I getting out of control in gambling.

Now I am angry at my friend because he didn't keep to his words. Although I am still happy about the win, I wish he had given me back the $10. Then, I would have win bigger money.
Here's the thing buddy, don't be mad at your friend because he didn't return your money. Imagine you're losing all $10 on that bet and you will be left with nothing. Whatever happens, happens for a good reason. Now you have made $50 from $1 and you still have the $10 in your hand. In total, you can spend $60 later on.
Take everything positively. Maybe one day that friend will come handy just because you lend him $10 in his difficult situation. Do favor to other people and you will get the favor back 10 times.
Be happy with your winning and always bet minimum amount. You will be able to play more and lose less.

Helping people is quite very important and we should not regret giving arms to someone else over a win in gambling. The money may have solved a problem for him and also saved the person from life troubles. The memory he wouldn't forget, but the money will finish. Hence if Op had won with the 50 dollars, soon he'd spend it all buying things favorable to him, which is not handy in helping a friend. Op, only needs to try again with high amount, next time, if that's what bothers him. However, we need to think along side Op, as its his money and experience. Many a times, in the past, I felt that way and the thoughts wouldn't disappear immediately, but sooner it gets over the gambler's brain. Compared to the trouble the friend who needs the money would have to face if his problems wasn't saved with the money. He'll hardly forget about the treat or help. And somehow, Op, would reap from the help he's given out to a friend.

We do have different reasons why we gamble and that reason could be the cause why we are not having fun with gambling. We gamble because we just wanna chill and have fun the it is good but if we gamble because we want to gain income or whatsoever related to this, I think things will never be the same anymore. For irresponsible gamblers, having fun in gambling is a lie. 😅
Those of us who gamble should be able to get pleasure from gambling, but somehow, it makes us lose direction by using more and more money just because we want to chase the wins we previously got. The goal of having fun is easily replaced by the desire to win again when that won't always happen. We become more greedy after getting the previous win, making us willing to use all the money in our gambling account. We don't remember that we should have had enough of gambling, so we have to finish it immediately before we run out of all the money. And it's true that if we say we're having fun gambling but we run out of money, it's the same as lying to ourselves. And I've experienced it before.

1179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you see a gambling review website that has its own gambling website? on: January 04, 2024, 09:24:28 PM
A gambling website, OP, you mean a casino that also runs a gambling review. It's not wrong, the site can be a byproduct. Where the casino also gains traffic to their main website. Whatever they rank their own casino doesn't matter, provided they've mentioned the casino and review site is run by same administrator. Gamblers who use the review site, would only need to focus on the casino that concerns them, if the review site's casino is worth it the visitors can use them and check if the rating on the review site is true. It's more like having a blog as a casino. No much gap in the difference. However, gamblers still need to do their research on other casino review sites about the casino, whether what is written on their review about their casino is similar to what other review sites have to say. Doing that shouldn't be a big deal. Casino are only using those contents to increase traffic to the main casino. It's more like a social engineered means of reaching out to people.
1180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Focus on how much you may lose and not only the potential win. on: January 04, 2024, 09:12:33 PM
Gamblers have different reasons why they'll regret whenever the game plays in their favor. First, the player is greedy and doesn't appreciate his lucky days then the instincts and time he utilized before wining the game. Second, he thinks gambling of a place where regret matters. Those who regret no matter how early, it's too late, and nothing could be done about it. Hence they should enjoy their money and try again next time. They also go ahead to make the mistake of staking high amount of money on their next game, which may not play in the player's favor, and he'll still complain over losing much money in gambling. They regret at any outcome; win or lose. I'd say that gamblers need to be prepared when gambling, not just gambling for money sake. The person can not be satisfied. I've seen numerous cases where a gambler gets sad even after winning money. Because he's bothered that he could have wagered a bigger amount.
