So have there been any indication of the Nov shipping being completed? Have resellers got their bonus units?

Now can you please provide data for the maximum 24/7 safe current per 18AWG wire. My own research led me to believe it is much lower than 9A.
It depends on the length of the wire, and the acceptable voltage drop. At 3 ft circuit legnth, 18 AWG is good for 9A with a 2.83% voltage drop. As for safe, at 2.83% voltage drop that would only 1.5W dissipated as heat. Still the point was somewhat academic I doubt HF will be pushing anywhere close to that much current but if they did the limiting factor wouldn't be the artificial PCIe graphics standard for 6 and 8 pin connectors. KNC is what, 800W for 4 boards, or 200W per board, but they are using 20AWG wire, which adds up to 18" of 20AWG to the PSU cable length. Removing teh KNC wire and plugging the PSU cables right in added about .1V to the VRMs

eh, you are no KNC.....
![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) That's true... HashFast's chips are about 3 times more powerful when compared on a GH per sq.mm basis. HashFast is shipping with top-shelf quality Sea Sonic PSUs, so our customers won't have to put up with exploding/self-immolating units like KNC's did. In addition, HashFast lined up an exclusive with CIARA, which means HashFast machines will be assembled and shipped with utmost expediency (no random guys helping load some random van), in professional/durable packaging. That means double-walled boxes, so HashFast customers' hardware won't arrive broken like so much of KNC's did. Finally, (again unlike KNC) HashFast has been working closely with ckolivas for a long time to ensure cgminer works flawlessly with our innovative new GN Protocol, Global Work Queue, etc. cough cough... ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FMy1HHJn.jpg&t=664&c=Oy0nsDZCFfxFfg)

Following the fabout, we have a projected bumpout date of December 21st
![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) In other words, there will be no December deliveries and January is iffy, just like I told you all. ALWAYS BET ON iCE...Always bet on ice? As in, ice will win, as in, your icebreaker, such as in your avatar will be either completely trapped, or crushed, sunk and frozen in the ice? Cause if you're betting on ice and you're in an icebreaker, well...

Is anyone stacking their units?? If so, what are you using as spacers between them?
The rubber feet each Jupiter has? Is that going to be enough? the cases are pretty warm, i would like something that raised them up a little bit more. How warm? Mine are in a room, that is quite hot, yet the metal surface of the lid is slightly warm. I don't think it would be a problem to stack them directly ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Not boiling hot, but a little bit warm. Thanks for the tip, I need to do something about them, my basement is a mess! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=7216.msg3742598#msg3742598

All i'm saying is the light at the end of the tunnel, and the total delay time was 1.5months-2months. They're pressed to ship this month due to their TOS. Though it sucks, the reality that pre-ordering asics is one of the only ways to stay in the mining game. The reality with that also is chance of delay, the company not delivering at all, or of course an outright scam. While waiting for my 2 BFL single pre-orders, we were in a similar situation as now. Price was skyrocketing, except then difficulty was low. Under 100 mil. Yes there is the "I could have made so much $" But it's a roll of the dice with ASIC companies. New video by HashFast: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rl6L8nt3Hc&feature=youtu.beNot sure why they would post a video of the assembly failing, knocks a capacitor over.

this sucks really ... we have talked for days ... and u just post u sold them ... u aint a cery good seller ... very unserious
rammy2k2... I apologize for that... KNC had released the neptune for general public order much faster than I anticipated... and I was sure they would sell out too fast to get the job done... It was a weak moment for me... I tried to notify everyone, he was the fastest to respond with "Take my BTC".... again, I apologize for ending the auction early mate...really. Won't happen again. I think the problem isn't that you changed the auction ending time, which you did notify us to, it's that you then ended it earlier than the revised auction end time, so no one got notices, other than "Sorry, sold", not sure why you revised the auction ending time if you weren't even going to adhere to it. Aside from selling it for a lot less, your credibility took a hit.

I think "bent" wasn't the best word to use.
Some copper pipes are slightly off level = not even surface. The surface of each pipe is completely flat = no damage there.
So tapping them on top of the cooler might make them move downwards, thus alligning them on a horizontal plane.
I might try that a bit later.
Just use a full tube of thermal paste! That'll fix it right up! lol Mine was damaged as the front screw on the support bar wasn't screwed in, so the heatsink has free reign to bounce around. It's already back on it's way to KNC.

Just received my November Jupiters and there is damage. Here's the email I sent to support: I just received my November batch Jupiters and 2 of the ASIC chips are extremely hot, reaching over 86C in a very cold room, which cannot be kept cold as it is the living room. The other ASIC chips vary in temperature from 38 to 57 degrees. I removed the heatsink from the hottest ASIC to re-paste it and as you can see in the pictures provided it has been severely damaged during transit. The base consisting of 4 copper pipes is supposed to be perfectly flat, so it has perfect contact with the heat spreader of the ASIC chip, but the pipes have been misaligned and bended and currently they do not sit at the same level as seen in the pictures. The original metal plank that sits directly on top of the pipes has fallen off even though it is not supposed to as it is glued to the pipes. Because of the uneven contact surface the whole heatsink is tilted backwards. Also recently I bought an October Jupiter from (Phoenix1969) from Hawaii and it also arrived with one of the heatsink damaged it the same way. Until yesterday I was convinced it was damaged by being dropped as it looked impossible for such damage to happen during transit, but now with the units I have received directly from you it is obvious UPS are at fault. And his unit was packaged much better than yours - 2 separate boxes and a lot of thick bubble wrap. Pictures from the Jupiters I received from you today: http://imgur.com/a/zrL2Z#0Pictures from the Jupiter received a few days ago: http://imgur.com/a/zCCJk#0The ASIC chips + boards are fine - it is just the coolers that are damaged. I have already ordered a replacement cooler for the Jupiter, not received directly from you, but would need to order 1 or 2 more for the damaged ones you sent me. I will appreciate it if you can pay for these or just sent me replacements. Thank you. img removed THink that's bad? All ya gotta do is buy new heatsinks ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) , here's mine: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FlH6k40l.jpg&t=664&c=78Gra8tqZP5glw)

I wonder if he got more than 18BTC, that was my max bid.

If anyone else selling Jupiters, I'm paying up to 18BTC, PM me

So are people still mining with GPUs?
I'd like to introduce you to my friend litecoin

neptune wil be released in Q1/Q2 2014 and a Jupiter would be available immediatley!
That's the first batch, which has already sold out, no word as to when batch 2 would ship.

I've found the most profitable machine has been my laptop, cause I used it to buy coins ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) But since we're talking mining, KNC is the current leader. They are all sold out, however they are planning another preorder for their batch 2 of Neptune 3TH units, rumored to be $12,500 each As far as getting something now, it's a pretty expensive market, I'd still recommend the KNC Jupiter if you can find one for around 12BTC 13K for 550 GH/s when Neptune 3TH/s is ~12K. Something is a little off. Yes, the timing

One of my units has so many bad cores it's been running sine late Oct no more than 425GH, still above the 400 I paid for. The tuning utility allowed me to increase voltage, now it's at 535GH. you can either look at where you were shorted or or focus on where you were fortunate. a 650GH machine a week late sure beats a 400GH machine on time.or even a 550GH machine on time.
and btw did you use some kind of strategy to tune this Jupiter? started low voltage and increased bit by bit or how did you manage that? It wasn't a Die #0 issue, it was all disabled cores, so the SIP voltage and frequency makes no difference. Basically, I just used burtmod in one screen, and the tune utility in another screen, increased the voltage on the die that had disabled cores, kept a close eye as they started to enable, making sure to keep the amps on the corresponding VRM below 60A. I went from a machine with 20% bad cores to machine wiwth less than 2% bad cores (as reported by burtmod). Oh, on top of this, it was running at 7% hardware error rate, now down to 2.5% hardware error rate.
