Mine are in a room, that is quite hot, yet the metal surface of the lid is slightly warm.
I don't think it would be a problem to stack them directly

As a heads up BitMinter is smaller but still large enough to solve a block every couple hours.  It has no required fee only a donation, and it offers perks for those who donate.  The pool also includes all tx fees, and merge mines NMC.  I have been mining it for two days and it has been solid.  One thing I never really thought about is BitMinter announced that to date they have paid out 1,000 BTC in transaction fees alone.  That almost a cool million USD in current exchange rate.  Many pools just keep the tx fees so it would be easy for BitMinter to make a million bucks more by keeping the fees but they don't (and never have).

Glad it helped.  Nothing like being the first one.  Weirdly the GUI firmware flash option did not work (even w/ ASICs disconnected), I tried it a couple of times.  If it had it would have saved me four days of stress and almost 2 BTC.  Still after getting it to flash by microSD it has been very solid.  Far exceeding my expectations, pretty solidly in the 670 GH/s range.

No, you wont get anywhere close to that number. What that "spokesperson" forgot to tell you is that the amount of coins you mine is utterly dependant on how fast the rest of the network is. See if you can spot a trend:

If the network doubles in speed (which currently happens every month), your mining revenue for a given machine is cut in half. Neptune most likely wont ship before June 2014 (thats my guess anyway), so it wont mine a dime this Christmas and it will not mine a fraction of the numbers quoted next Christmas.

That was a complete misquote. I was fired a load of questions via Skype. The guy wanted to know what Jupiter will make currently, and what Neptune will make when it is released. The guy appeared keen to learn, but knew nothing. So I explained the entire concept of mining and respective difficulty rating and how future coin price and competition was impossible to predict. I said the only thing we have to go upon is today's current difficulty. I said that a Jupiter from October makes between 0.3, and 0.4 coins (remaining in the shy side, and that the November one is a little more powerful. Then said the Neptune will be around 5-6 times faster, but due to the fact difficulty will rise, it would take a diff of 3 billion + for Neptune to make what Jupiter currently does.

I gave him links to calculators, and explained he marketing scam behind the Genesis Block to propagate fear, uncertainty and doubt by continuously compound the difficult to freak people out and ensure a large volume of backlinks to their site. I showed the static diff calls that break the daily rewards down at today's difficulty and again arp firmed that difficulty rises each time a quantity if blocks are sold and as more hardware is added to the network, so he machine has to be more powerful to compete.

The above is literally a synopsis. I taught him the entire schebang about mining, and he basically took Jupiter today and multiplied by six, and then said something along the lines about 'ideal conditions'.

This was naughty, he was even attributing all these stats to me, so I contacted Business insider about this (where the chap was from), and the original article was amended straight away last week (go have a look). IB times have just taken the article and respun it as theirs.

Also i blatantly did not say 50 coins perblock currently. I said 25 and explained the process of the reward halving starting from 50.

There is no way to accurately predict the output of a Neptune, or even the cointerra and hashfast rigs. Things that do not exist yet can't be predicted.

PSU Quality might be variable, I had a brand new G2 1300 and it popped the moment I turned on the Nov Jupiter, getting it RMA'd now, replaced it with my Silverstone 1500W backup and it didn't skip a beat. Nearly shat myself though, it really popped loud, thought I'd blown a capacitor in the Jupiter, but its been fine.

Not quite correct. Prior to April 20th that would have been right, but from April 20/2013 onwards there is a 1% fee on mining income. Any donations are on top of that.

We have all (first batch buyers) helped KnC startup with their business and it is now up and running like a train.
Now they treat their customers like shit and put up another pre-order BS!

And the big question is when are they going to deliver the Neptune?
They say Q1/Q2. Looking back to their original promise "before September" and then "all payed order before 15th of October", which obviously they have never made it.
Maybe when lucky the first unit will be shipped at end of June 2014?

No, I'm using those as well and not really having issues. Can you check the voltage on your molex connectors? All of mine are showing 7v where it should be 5v.  That shouldn't cause a problem, but I'm wondering if I got a bad batch or something. The atx plug has 5v in the correct pins, and I'm not sure why I'm seeing 7v from all of the sata modular plugs. I had one Jupiter that wouldn't restart cg miner from the web interface or ssh and was acting a little strange. Still hashing fine, I just couldn't switch pools! I did a reflash by micro sd card and that's when I noticed the voltage. I only checked the output on the atx connector when testing the psus, because they SHOULD be on the same rails.

Errr, 7V is the difference between 5V and 12V, so if you miscount the pins and measure between the wrong ones.......
