1161  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does anyone still stores their crypto in any exchange on: June 16, 2023, 10:05:27 AM
Does anyone here still stores their crypto in exchanges? I think the best choice would be to move a higher value of funds to a hardware wallet while leaving a small amount that's less than 5K in an exchange.

Exchanges have proven time and time again that they can disappoint their users at any time. Let's not talk about the FTX issue. but for instance, Atomic Wallet just let its users' funds vanish into thin air a few days ago with no reasonable explanation.

So, why would anyone in their right mind take the risk of storing your crypto on exchange? When it usually means that the exchange retains control (or 'custody') of your assets without giving you access to the private keys. Also, they can disappoint you at any time.

You see, on a lowkey there are quite a number of people in this forum that go around saying don't do this, don't do that blah blah but they don't practice what they teach, don't be surprised that many of them still used centralized exchange as storage to keep their assets which is a very bad practice on the long run, I feel people don't learn from others until it they learn it the hard way and why should a sensible person wait to learn it the hard way.

Centralized exchanges are a bad practice no matter how they put it, the least you can do is trade whatever you have to swap your coins but as soon as your business is done over there, move your coins as fast as possible to a personal wallet where you only can access without anyone, but what I believe even with the repetition of these messages, those who will take the advice will take it, and those that wouldn't will ignore.

Doesn't mean they say that its all true sometimes those people just base on what they read or experience in short while. That's why we need to do our own research and need to experience many things on crypto since we are the only one here can help ourselves and we don't need to rely always on what people say since not all the time they can help us.

Advices are meant to be here but not 100% to follow since you also need to do your own diligence to see if its working for you or not.
1162  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling addiction causes ear deafness? on: June 15, 2023, 03:25:08 PM
Have you meet gamblers that are going way too deep into addiction and you try to stop them and they listen? I've never accomplished that before.
how do I warn a gambling addict if I am also a gambler? even though I'm not a big nominal player, I still have control over the money I will put into the game.
I can't force a person or even my friends who are addicted to gambling. usually, I just remind them to rest and go to sleep for a while or just look for food first to prevent those who are too excited in game conditions that tend to be forced.
it's hard to get the gambler to stop. what may happen is from a coercive family or in certain situations he can realize his mistake.

You cannot convince or influence people to follow what you advise if they also see you doing such activities. Provably he will just ignore your words given to them and might still continue with his possible addiction because he didn't get decent advices coming from legitimate clean peoppe aways from this activites.

So hard for committed gambler to stop but daily advices can waken up his thoughts and he might realize that he need to stop his addiction and connect to more people who's not into the same addiction.
1163  Economy / Economics / Re: Rent or buy real estate - let's have a debate on: June 15, 2023, 11:54:29 AM
I have been debating about it with couple of my colleagues whether stay on rent or buy a property.

Let's assume, you are well capable enough to buy a new property through bank loan. Your income supports the mortgage payment so banks are willing to lend you money.

What will be the best route to take? Buy the property or stay in a rented place?

The usual appreciation rate of your property value is around 10% owing to the development work that are ongoing. For rented property, your rent increases by 15% every year.

What's the better option for you and why?

In my own opinion there nothing to debate this topic because this all depends on a persons need.

We know how expensive the real estate assets on business hub cities compare to province so much better if you rent since you can enjoy all of your time since you will not get drained to travel long hours for you to get home.

You can also buy house and lot even if your budget is tight but expect it will be on province and not near to your workplace. so try to decide depends on your needs since buying an asset is somehow a big obligation to take.
1164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Improve Your Sports Betting Skills and Win More Bets? on: June 15, 2023, 10:17:07 AM
When I saw this topic how to get over it, I wondered how can someone turn a $1,000 into $xxx, xxx amount through sports betting. I was aware that it can be done but what strategy or skills an individual needs to be able to do it? I went into browsing mode as I have done earlier and found out the skills needed to get to the peak of sports betting. Here are my five steps to make your sports betting profitable.

1. The most important step is to Research and analyzes before placing your bets: It is imperative that you gather relevant information about teams, players, statistics, and recent performances. This information would enable you to make more informed decisions.

What do you think?
I only focus on number 1 because it is the most important before someone bets. If he couldn't analyze properly, he might not be able to win. For number 2 and so on, it will depend on how you analyze it because if you have good analytical skills, you can get the right team to place the bet. And for the value of the bet, you can adjust it according to the budget you previously set. Everything, from numbers 1 to 5 is interconnected but the most important is number 1 because research to find a team is the most basic for a bettor before starting to place a bet.

Exactly, above all you must first know what and where you are putting your funds at risk. That's what research is for. You have to understand which team is at an advantage at the given match, Which one has greater odds in terms of the players, home court advantage, the skillset of individual players, and team rankings. With that, you can create your own judgment and just anything else to probability. What you just need is proper risk and money management.

What wrong expectation of other is they thought that there's an easy way for them to increase there chance to win on betting skills other than researching the or frequently watching the game. To learn this we need to be more consistent to watch the game everyday if there's a game available and look for more source if information since no one can beat our research if we talk about sports betting.

Also we can't expect to get an accurate 100% chance to win since even if we know the team is so strong still there are chance for them to lose, so you need to manage the risk and have proper discipline to avoid any mental lapses.

There's nothing to worry about that post since its just a reminder just like what @act said that thread is long time inactive. If you think your post is helpful or can change some perspective between some post or the thread itself then post it. But if your post is just nonsense and just want to post because you want to increase your post count then maybe think about more better than that since it doesn't give any good contribution if your intention is to post random matters.
1166  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🎉BetFury Affiliate Program is live| 💸Earn with RevShare up to 60% on: June 14, 2023, 12:11:14 PM
If you start with 1 satoshis, you can have some losses but I think the high rollers start at some higher numbers maybe even a few bitcoin in one bet lol.
I think there is still a lot of ignorance about the Martingale strategy; I have a buddy that I went to the casino with recently (in real life) and he kept talking about that with Martingale you couldn't loose and that is not possible to have 20-25 losses in a row.

I just noticed now that the maximum bet on Betfury is significantly limited. So, high rollers can not use one or more BTC per bet as the maximum size of the bet for regular users can't be more than 0.154 BTC, and for VIP users can't be more than 0.462 BTC. This means that if a regular user uses the martingale strategy, he will have the guaranteed loss after 23 losses in a row starting from the minimum bet of 1 sat, while a VIP user will have the guaranteed loss after 25 losses in a row.

And that's exactly why the martingale strategy is bound to fail in the long run. 23 consecutive losses in a row at a 2x multiplier is not at all impossible or even that rare. The longer you play, the higher the chances of encountering a losing streak that can devastate your bankroll.

That's crazy lose and I doubt martingale will work that way since provably those who do martingale strategy will go crazy when encountering that heavy losing streak. This is also one of the reason why we shouldn't rely on martingale since this is not gonna work and might good only to use when you want to have fun playing. But for profitability it will never guarantee us anything in return.
1167  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there anyone else who shares the same sentiments? on: June 14, 2023, 09:44:01 AM
To many fuds exist already and this exchange issues is not new so most provably investors are now aware that some people use this issue to manipulate them. And it didn't work since they just ignore the news and continue with their investments rather than focusing on things that can't actually kill bitcoin and crypto.

Maybe there are some got panic when they hear the news but since there are small number of people feel this way it didn't create any big impact that's the reason why we see bitcoin still standing strong despite of that kind of news released.
1168  Economy / Gambling / Re: vbetFTN.com | Leading Online Gambling Operator | 🎰 on: June 13, 2023, 02:37:15 PM

They have kept their signature campaign live and also ANN active. And because they are providing good service to the gamblers no one is able to file any complaint against them. These factors are definitely helping to boost their reputation. And it is predictable that they can do better in the future.
Yes this team have shown a high level of consistency and for them to have stayed active up on till the very moment replying to comments and solving one or two issues it quite clear that they are. Info a long term successful work here in the forum and providing good gambling experience for their players.

I am sure with the long term promotional budget as hinted by their signature campaign manager to run the campaign for a long term shies his ready this team are in staying around and being active here. I wish the team all the best in this period and their journey to build their brand.
I have not tried this vbetFTN gambling platform because before I was doubtful, because it might be fairly new to me, especially in this forum, but after I saw your review and many reviews of the people here about vbetFTN which had a very positive review, it seems me Starting to be interested and want to try playing on their services, and the sensation of visuals and fair games that I hope hopefully can meet my expectations.

Of course, with a consistent budget and exploring the interactid service with their consumers it will be very good in the reputation of the platform, especially the campaign manager they designate is Hhampz who is a legendary campaign manager and is good at managing a signature campaign, in the hands he will certainly produce a very results positive in the development of the existence and reputation of the vbet platform.

Normal feeling to get doubt on new platform release since scamming is commonly happening anywhere. But since they was been held by reputable managers in terms on marketing and also they are performing so well on couple of days/months exist we can say that another new reputable casino has been born here. If they just active on marketing and prolong it the same what other reputable casino do for sure they can earn positive result as return.
1169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New investigation on Satoshi Nakamoto & the Origins of Bitcoin on: June 13, 2023, 12:40:41 PM
Satoshi gave us Bitcoin and only wanted to stay anonymous and private. Bitcoiners are not interested in making their job of staying under the radar any more difficult than it is.

- Jay -

Even thought people want to move on Satoshi's identity discussion still many still got an interest to know a little glimpsed of his details. For sure there are people would read up on what those people claims that they got some information about his identity since many are still curious to know if they are saying right or want to prove that those claims are totally wrong. For now until there's no solid evidence show I will threat those people saying they already trace satoshi as a lier and just want to create noise for their name to get instant fame.
1170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If I have 1BTC So how did I use to invest in different Coins on: June 13, 2023, 10:31:56 AM
I usually Invest a very small amount of bitcoin to another coin because I know this time is very crucial to invest in any new coin or even in an old coin.
Any suggestion from your side which is good for long term

Like what other say its better to split up those balances on top coin on the market since they are much safer option to have if you are aiming for long term but don't forget to leave maybe 15-20% for shitcoin investment since there are tokens that can give you short time profit if you trade those risky tokens quickly and you don't join people call for a hold on those tokens. If you do this for sure you will get a lot of options and also learn many things for doing this selections since you can see a different perspectives in your executed trades.
1171  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam targeting Metamask wallet user's on: June 11, 2023, 02:50:51 PM
Those who send these emails are cybercriminals, your email address may have been stolen from somewhere and they are now sending such fake emails. Metamask does not collect their users' email addresses, so scammers are sending these emails targeting crypto users.

Because they know that a large part of crypto users use metamask, and this random email can bring them the expected results. Therefore, crypto users should verify the source of the email before clicking on any link included in the email.

Most of these criminals spreading fake alerts got our email on airdrops or any other platform turn scams we participate before. Right now we can see the effect if we are not careful on sending out emails everywhere since we might receive more emails like this. They target metamask users because they know that maybe some other users might bite the trap they set and to bad for a person if no verification will be done since most of them will be the favorite victim by these hackers or scammers.
1172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you guilty of promising not to gamble for specific days but back next day on: June 11, 2023, 12:03:02 PM
Most of the gamblers go through this situation, I have been many times too, promise not to play after losing too much but come back again when the profit is high. Many people have this addiction some can quit and some can't. Even if you lose that amount, there is a gambling problem. Many have asserted that the loss forced him to play more judiciously because he enjoys the game as entertainment. Gambling addiction usually depends on yourself, so try to avoid your own mistakes. Gambling addiction is at such a stage that it becomes difficult to keep any promises made.
But the problem here is between gambling addicts to make money or just looking for entertainment, if gambling addicts are looking for profit they will continue to come back after regretting the reason of chasing losses before but for gambling addicts just looking for entertainment they will never regret it or he always comes back even though he loses money before because money lost is money that can afford to lose.

That feeling is normal especially when you exceed on intended budget you set which you can let go. But for sure this regret is not at that point that they think about quitting since for sure once they see their friends or people they know for sure they still gamble tomorrow or maybe later on again. Losses is not the factor why these people think to quit but rather it somehow inspire them to revenge back and try to earn back their money.
1173  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Nigerian SEC declare Ban on Binance Exchange activities. on: June 11, 2023, 10:30:41 AM
But I wonder why only Binance, when other international exchanges are just like Binance.
Other big exchangers are also facing similar restrictions "Huobi, Bybit, and Kucoin"
Just like you said countries are starting to regulate crypto exchangers. They can no-longer be ignored because maybe they found out that they are dealing with fiat currencies which they need a license in order to operate.

If that's the case maybe they should give a license to those exchange if they comply to the law since putting some restrictions like that because they want to control those companies is no sense at all. We don't know the real intention of these guys since maybe they want extra kick back because they see that they can take advantage on what's currently happening with this exchange especially with Binance in US.
1174  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: June 10, 2023, 12:38:42 PM
I like the kind of marketing strategy Roobet.com marketers use.

First of all, everyone here in the gambling section knows that the art competitions that the casino holds are interesting and are clearly aimed at finding really talented artists and their excellent, interesting works.
Secondly, it must be said that the prizes for the winners are also quite large, which is a good incentive for such artists.  I hope Roobet.com will continue this initiative, which is already starting to become a tradition to some extent.
And it's wonderful!
Because such a tradition is quite unique and peaceful, and generally aimed at finding new talents in art!
The unique approach to make everyone involved and make it personalized is the key there. I mean we all know the people and they put an effort into it, that can't be done with bots, maybe if you know how to use AI then you could try to get it done by AI which I am pretty sure would be known but even if it doesn't, that's still not a bot and you are trying something, you are still putting an effort into it. That's why I think it's quite important that we all respect the uniqueness of this.

It's all based on the individual, it makes you feel human, it's not just numbers and statistics, you are not some random stranger, you are someone who has shown his emotions when it mattered and that's why it's such an important thing. I believe it will go on for a long time with this much success without a shred of doubt.
Indeed, the Roobet.com marketing approach stands as an intriguing case study. It's fascinating to see their engagement strategies, especially the art contests. One can argue that it's a smart business model - engaging the creative community whilst simultaneously promoting their brand. However, it's crucial to note that the effectiveness of this strategy is also reliant on the quality of the participants' works. This is where the generous prizes come into play, serving both as motivation for participants and affirmation of the casino's commitment to the arts.

Good to see that something new to talk about especially on their new promotional stuff launch and by having that  past contest they held and this existing art contest it makes the community to engage with their casino. We can see that they are successful because they do a lot of things to market their casino to many people so I guess Roobet is the top tier casino good to follow by other.casino which also want to gain success on their business here.
1175  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some possible ways to avoid phishing attacks and scams on: June 10, 2023, 10:25:34 AM
Simple methods are.

Don't read any unwanted emails.

Use dummy email for any registration you made to avoid receiving spam emails on your main email.

Always use dummy wallet on any platform you register when they ask you to provide so that you can avoid any background checking by hackers and became a target on their attacks.

Always ask the community on anything you don't understand because it can save your money and time since you provably get a good answer from true people in this community.

This is what we should remember and for sure we can avoid those attempt made by crazy criminals.
1176  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crashino.com Provably Fair Crash Games, Casino and Sportsbook ✌ on: June 09, 2023, 02:39:33 PM
Withdrawal delay and inactive support is the worst situation for a gambler. A few more users have complained about the withdrawal delays above. Crashino sends promotional message of free spins and deposit bonus on each week. I took some of those bonuses before, but I haven't tried any of those since the last two months after hearing those complaints.
Don't dare to try. It seems they don't care about those complaints. Live support and transaction speed should be their priority. It's not like this happened once and they can give an excuse to ignore it. But no, this happens with a couple of users and they are complaining on BitcoinTalk. You never know how many of them don't know about BitcoinTalk and waiting for ages for their support reply and withdrawal. I played on their platform a long ago. My experience wasn't good at all. Even though they send a promo email every week. I don't bother to check their promo anymore. To be honest, their promotions are awesome. But, the overall experience is not good at all.

To bad that issues has still floating up and it seems their representative doesn't care about their reputation since they just let those issue still exist then let those people complain about what they experience. I guess thus is already a red flag so maybe its best for other not even think about risking their money on risky platforms. If they will not answer all claims and questions by many thread speculators provably that people will threat them the same with 1xbit.
1177  Economy / Exchanges / Re: SEC sues Binance and CZ on: June 09, 2023, 12:21:48 PM
I'm not familiar with the legalities here but what I can't seem to understand is why is CZ still running Binance.us with everything that has been happening with BUSD and the CFTC lately.
It is evident that the SEC Chairman Gary Gensler is targeting the big leagues with the claim that cryptocurrencies are securities and they sued coins earlier when they targeted XRP and now they are targeting exchanges. If they back down and move out SEC will start targeting other smaller exchanges and crypto related businesses, Let the big teams fight for the rights rather than surrendering.

If CZ have legal documents or any other proof that they are not doing any illegal activities while operating in US then they should give a good fight with these guys. It will be good to let those official knows that they cannot easily move out a business without getting an appeal in court. For sure CZ can spend a lot of money to defend their selves there.

If they can defend their business maybe this could give huge confident to other smaller exchange to be prepared and they cannot be easily turn down by this greedy guys who always look after their personal interest towards certain businesses.
1178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how to get over it on: June 09, 2023, 11:05:14 AM
I’ve turned $1,000 into $100,000
I’ve turned $6,000 into $80,000
I’ve turned $11,000 into $550,000
and recently I’ve turned $4,000 into $90,000

With nothing to show for it…I’m a sharp sports bettor, but I always end up going all in. I can never be satisfied until it’s too late. I always need to go all in.

I’ve been reading comments from my last post (turning $4,000 into $90,000 and losing the entire $90,000), and I can’t help but feel like shit.

How do I get over the countless failures? I’ve been chasing the $1,000,000 dream for years.

You just need to realize that its so bad to continue that attitude to go all in and bet like crazy , since the same issue will always happen. You need to have discipline and always be thankful for the winnings so that you always end up a winner if there's a chance or you are in lucky situation. But still its a good experience so just bounce back and became more better gambler so that you do better decisions on your next game time.
1179  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcointalk is not an office on: June 08, 2023, 11:57:38 PM
I read different articles of newbie particular in beginners and help board and I notice that so many of the newbie have in mind that bitcointalk is an office to fetch and earn money. And it's noted that the primary agenda of making bitcointalk is to have a different reasons and suggestions of making the problem of bitcoin to be lesser, I will say some people are not informed of why bitcointalk is been created and its the reason why everytime some newbie make first and second post you know that their plan of registering is to earn a bitcoin.

Why the heck people think about bitcointalk is an office? I think you are the only one thinking about that and not those newbies you mentioned. Also its not bad to think about that you can earn here since there's so many opportunity here. For sure the possibility to earn is maybe the common why people go here. To many learnings we can learn here but also lets not discriminate people want to earn since there are so many things we can do to earn money especially if we are skilled to work with some technical jobs offered around.
Earning is it why forum is being made, do you what to tell me that without Earning forum will not stand, before I made this content I have seen where a newbie asked a question for how he/ she will earn in bitcointalk,  I'm not against Earning but let it not be a priority

Nope it will stand because for so many year this forum exist even though resources or advertisers are limited. Its just the opportunity is booming here so expect that there are people coming here to earn. Its so normal for newbie to ask about how they can earn and its just we just need to advice them that there's no need to rush about earnings and their main focus since they are newbie is to learn. For sure for that they will be inspired to learn more about crypto and this forum since in future they will be rewarded for their efforts they made.
1180  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: June 08, 2023, 01:58:35 PM
I cannot recall when the most recent genuine scam accusation (with evidence such as transaction id and screenshots to back up the claim) was made against 1xbit/1xbit1 in this thread but I think it is already almost universally agreed that the 1xbit/1xbit1 operators are running a scam website.

They seemed to have some sort of slack in the past because they seem to be intermittently selective scamming their members but are they still doing it? Where are all the mass-scale scam allegations against them?

Its their fault on why people called out them easily as scam because they leave a bad impression that they are scam. Verifying if the claim is legitimate has been eliminated since if someone claim to be scam by them many people automatically believe that this case is true. If 1xbit is just transparent on everything like solving those old or existing issues and show some proof that they really fix those things, maybe some of their clients might give them a chance to show that they change as a good casino. But this is long way round to prove as many people is already convince that they will never be a good casino.
