11602  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hold on....you can buy things on ebay now....with Bitcoins! on: June 07, 2015, 04:15:45 PM
Ebay should directly accept bitcoin payments and then it would be good enough as PP can be charged back but not bitcoins.

I was about to post the same, but then I realized how volatile the Bitcoin is. If Ebay accepts direct payments in the form of Bitcoin or other crypto, then there is a chance of incurring loss, as the exchange rate can wildly fluctuate in a matter of minutes. So it will be better for them to go for Bitcoin-based payment processors, such as Bitpay.

The exchange rate of bitcoins is an issue but Ebay should use a payment processor that is accepted world wide while PayPal ins't accepted worldwide. There are some countries that cannot receive payments via PayPal which is not the case with bitcoins. Bitpay could be a great payment processor if introduced or any other payment processor that can convert bitcoins to USD and save the balance in USD.
11603  Other / Meta / Re: BitcoIntalk phishing PM! Warning! on: June 07, 2015, 01:11:32 PM
Thank you for the warning! Please remove "https" from url. People may click it accidentally.

Thanks for the post. The link PM is pretty easy and seems genuine to hack a person's account as the "i" is replaced with "l". That's why I had asked for the option to disallow newbies from sending/posting links to make it safer.

Newbies do come here for legitimate reasons. PMs mustn't disabled for newbies.

I am not saying to disable the PM option for newbies but they shouldn't be allowed to post links as mostly people join this website and start either spamming their referral link or post malicious links.

Ebay should directly accept bitcoin payments and then it would be good enough as PP can be charged back but not bitcoins. Their split up with PayPal has not made a significant difference as they only offer that payment option for US goods. For Indians they do have another payment option paisapay but that's also not good enough.

they are facing some internal database error, you can't access wallet balance or check blockchain tx history.it should be fixed soon

What? I just logged into my wallet and saw all my earlier transactions. It might have been a problem earlier but it's working just fine now.

Maybe it works in one country, but not another. I'm still getting this message.

We Will Be Back Shortly

Blockchain.info is currently down for maintenance

They might have different servers for different areas of the world. A few hours ago I was getting an error message and others couldn't view the site at all.

Just visited the site now and I can see the login screen but after few seconds all HTML tags reading the site is under maintenance started popping up. Looks like they are changing some features but it's taking too long.

11608  Other / Meta / Re: Who is the little bitch who added that POS Quickseller to default trust again? on: June 06, 2015, 07:08:44 PM
yeah and this is why the USA is fucked up, because intead of people holding the power the gov which are default, fuck things for the little few?

Dont tell me I am wrong, I am trying to make a point, dont care about the trust given to me.  I had real trust from real trades nor did that give me any leverage here.  Ebay is a good example that is much more fairer system then the system we have here.

@bold: I received a negative rating from a buyer who himself backed out from my deal. He had purchased my gift card in an auction on Ebay and backed out later. Instead, I should be the one giving him a negtive feedback and yes, he has received 100% positives from other members when he himself seems to be a scammer.
11609  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: What happen to BlockChain.info !! on: June 06, 2015, 07:00:59 PM
I don't see any issues with blockchain. I logged in my account without any issues. Why is everyone else getting an error?  Undecided
11610  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I wanted to know!!!! on: June 06, 2015, 06:45:28 PM
Yeah both points you highlighted are really good and i completely forgot about localbitcoins.com this way you can hide the identity but again this is an alternative not a solution, what you say?

converting fiat to bitcoins to buy things. or converting bitcoins to fiat to buy things is not what bitcoins are all about.. what you are taking about is the gateway services, not bitcoin itself..

bitcoin can be compared to bank notes. when paid in bank notes and buying things with bank notes, businesses do not need or care about identity. yet if you went to an exchange service to swap bank notes of $ for euro's then things get complicated where if you request more then $1000 the exchange starts to get interested in who you are.

i have an income that is fully bitcoin (no conversion) i pay my bills in bitcoin so i never need to hand over my details. and thats what bitcoin is about. not the exchanges

So the only advantage of using bitcoins is the anonymity factor? Was that the only reason to have this crypto currency?

For me it's the fact that the currency can be converted into fiat and trading in it earns me a profit if the price increases. I don't bother much about the anonymity.

If you want to earn bitcoins by completing easy tasks, you can check www.bitcoinget.com and even get-paid.com. Get-paid has several tasks to complete and each survey pays about $0.5 which just takes 5-10 minutes to complete and you get points for data entry work as well. It's a genuine site and you can either choose bitcoins as a payment method or PayPal/Payza/Gift cards.

https://coinworker.com/ This site as well is good which makes you earn points for simple tasks. If you have just started working with bitcoins, it's better to join these sites and then you can try signature campaigns when you become a Full Member (which takes time).

great i will try the sites mentioned by you and also publish report of my experience on my portal. Thanks for you time and advice. Smiley

If we want to earn 1$ daily how much we need to Invest on crypto currency and where. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks dear. I honestly don't prefer nor recommend investing in any HYIP site as most of them are scams. I myself once lost my money in an HYIP site and hence I don't believe in these sites. When you invest money, there is a risk of not getting your money back too  Sad
11612  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mechanisms ro prevent crime on: June 05, 2015, 08:07:43 PM
I am meaning the forum to prevent scammers do scams or selling hacked accounts, stolen, digital and/or physical goods and anything that you may consider as a crime and the forum has some bugs. In fact you may have some recommendations for forum admin to make here a better place.

The rules should be revised to prevent these and since scams aren't moderated, the forum will always lack security. Escrow is an option to be safe but newbies can easily be trapped if they use an unknown escrow another member recommends and cases have been reported here.

The main issue is that people here prefer buying stolen goods as the price is cheap (15% the face value) and when there are such customers, how can these good be avoided from being sold here?

Gambling too needs to be stopped and the ability to create multiple accounts which increases the chances of getting scammed. Moderators manually verifying accounts or having a newbie jail (which existed earlier) can be an option too.

Having a mobile verification feature is being considered by the forum admin but only for the new forum that's going to be launched and not for this forum. I guess the new forum will be much more safer than this one.  Smiley

11614  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: thebitcoinquiz.com is an alt of puzzel.me on: June 05, 2015, 04:23:33 PM
Did puzzel.me scam anyone? He seems to own over 50% of the forum accounts here. To me it appears puzzel.me tried to scam by blackmailing a member. Anyways, attempting to scam and being a scammer is almost the same thing and this user has been creating numerous accounts on this forum.

Having dealt with stellar, he seemed to be genuine but the amount was really small to say anything.

@OP:

Continue dear as you love using this language. I don't wish to argue with you and get abusive now. It's your wish to start getting abusive and do the same. Good luck!

I too don't want to breathe in the air where people use such words which I haven't been taught by my parents. I'm proud of having a mother who is a Criminal Lawyer and dealt with murderers and the worst criminals and made them suffer in jail. Even those criminals never used such words with her and saluted her for being an educated woman. I can talk to them as they know when and where to use abusive language and to whom.

I hope I don't get a reply from you. Save your words for someone else.
11616  Other / Meta / Re: Nominate (insert name here) to the default trust list on: June 04, 2015, 08:03:47 PM
Didn't see that post but from what I've seen elsewhere here, being against the rules or not most personal attacks are not deleted. Just look at all those against quickseller and vod lol

I'll never understand why men in certain countries treat their women so bad. Different religions I guess..

I have seen people crossing their limit in those threads and even cursing them to an extent that they have threatened and prayed for their death. It's sick and I do feel bad when members stoop so low.
11617  Other / Meta / Re: Nominate (insert name here) to the default trust list on: June 04, 2015, 07:33:46 PM

Not sure what your point is? I see:

Quote
Allowed as long as it's not the only part of the post. Racist remarks along a constructive post (arguments, reasons) are allowed as if he wants to make himself look stupid, we don't want to stop him from doing so. However, if it's just a personal attack, then it will be deleted.

Or did I miss the posts which were nothing but racist?

OP dint post a racist comment for me but he did it earlier.

Also, he is just making a personal attack for me claiming to be a female. If it isn't considered a personal attack, I don't know what it is called then. May be the red part will be considered right.
11618  Other / Meta / Re: Nominate (insert name here) to the default trust list on: June 04, 2015, 07:16:06 PM

Freedom of speech. If this forum allows scams and such, what makes you think they are gonna censor the women haters and racists?  Cheesy

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.msg11225713#msg11225713

And you're right. When this forum can allow thieves, allowing such low class comments will be allowed to. What can I do when someone isn't educated enough to respect others? They will get what they give others.
11619  Other / Meta / Re: Nominate (insert name here) to the default trust list on: June 04, 2015, 06:57:11 PM
@OP: I am ashamed to even know a person like you who disrespects females to this extent. It's below my dignity to even talk to you and my education doesn't allow me to stoop to your level. You have even proved to be a racist and abuser earlier and it's shocking that the forum allows such comments here.

You should learn to respect women in the first place and you aren't doing that by talking such abusive words. My avatar and the message is added for people like you.

@BitcoinDistributor: I'm glad that you respect females. I respect you for respecting others and most people in this world disrespect women and hence there are crimes that take place daily and especially in my country, India, it's a common case.

@theymos & @badbear: Does this forum allow such members to insult and abuse other members to this extent? I've reported such posts and they aren't deleted. Why does this forum allow members to be racist/abuses/gender biased? The little I expect from this forum members is respect but I guess it's too much to ask for. A loaf of bread isn't important for me more than a loaf of respect.
