Price is dropping to 1000 satoshi again
When it was 30 we were supporting each other.

When it was 300 noone was complaining.

When it was 700 people was happy.

Now it's 1000 and everyone is whining.

WTF

Fill in Smiley

When it was 2500 people __________________.

This is a great point. I never ever fail to be amazed how short memories are and how emotional people are.

If two short months ago you'd have written about people whining about a 1000 satoshi price level people would assume you were off your tits on drugs.

It just shows that there were a lot of squares who bought at 2000+ satoshis. Now they are very anxious and couldn't wait patiently for the next rally. Usually the result to this is they will sell at the time just before the rally. It is the epitome of a loser in trading. They buy high and sell low.
11642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: July 25, 2016, 03:57:38 AM
What is the latest news on the Chinese guy Chandler Guo? He threatened Ethereum classic that he will do a 51% attack on it and even posted a photo of himself with his mining farm. Do you think he will really do it? Isn't more profitable for him to instead mine and earn ETC and ETH side by side? What is his motivation?

I have a feeling that it is possible that he is paid by one of Ethereum Foundation cohorts to wreak havoc on Ethereum classic.
11643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: July 24, 2016, 02:53:16 PM
Try to reach out to the creators of the Ethereum clones like Expanse. Maybe they can help you to continue the development of Ethereum classic.

I would also like to ask how much is the hashrate of Ethereum classic?
11644  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: July 24, 2016, 02:29:10 PM
What motives has Poloniex for trading the old chain. They could be be in an alliance with the dao hacker. This could go very badly for Poloniex. They are providing a method of exchanging stolen ether.

Are you that desperate to look for a logical answer? Well my friend who is stupid enough to make an alliance with the DAO hacker? That will be bad for business. I think Poloniex is against the execution and implementation process of the hard fork although they could not be against the hard fork. So now they are giving the people free choice.
11645  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: July 24, 2016, 02:19:20 PM
I'm still asking vitalik to close this thread since this coin no longer exists or is ETC

The advent of Ethereum classic in Poloniex and there are rumors soon on Bitfinex, Vitalik cannot be reached right now. This is becoming a threat to Ethereum fork so he must be really busy and very stressed. He has more important things to do. I think he will lose a lot of weight after all the problems he faced.
11646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: July 24, 2016, 02:14:43 PM
It's interesting to see how all this was called 'consensus' but I don't think that there was a real consensus on the hard-fork, it's also interesting to see how also poloniex added ethereum classic and especially the pair ETH:ETC .

This is maybe Poloniex's way of speaking their mind that they are against the execution and process of the hard fork. Now they are giving the people a way to make a real choice instead of the fake voting that happened. I think it is good for free choice and freedom.
11647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some guy threatens ETC (Ethereum Classic) with a 51% attack on: July 24, 2016, 01:46:51 PM
Why does he have to issue a threat? Why not just go and do it? I do not think he will continue on and do it. Won't it be more profitable for him to also mine Ethereum classic side by side with Ethereum fork?

And where is the attacker of Ethereum? Is the Ethereum fork still vulnerable to the attack he did before?
11648  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETC on Polo on: July 24, 2016, 01:37:25 PM
ETC is gaining serious traction. It makes sense to hold some of it
ETC is open to double spend replay attacks and is barely mined so is highly unsupported and insecure. It's also about to suffer a serious 51% attack. Gud luck with that coinage.

Is the new Ethereum still vulnerable to the exploit of the attacker? I asked this question before but I did not get an answer.
11649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETC on Polo on: July 24, 2016, 01:34:43 PM
Wait, I have also noticed that there is a ETH/ETC listed in Poloniex. So let me ask does this mean that the attacker can buy ETH with his ETC and then dump ETH to buy BTC? The attacker maybe hates Vitalik and is out to destroy Ethereum but will leave Ethereum classic alone. Could that be a possible scenario?
11650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: July 23, 2016, 02:46:33 PM
Has the rise stopped? I have been waiting for days now and I still have not seen it rise big again. I think it might be for a little while again before we see a big rise in price. Maybe the people trading this has left?
11651  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: July 23, 2016, 02:41:26 PM
I do not think that is a wallet created by the Lisk developers. Is there also a light wallet for Lisk? This will make things easier for everyone who want convenience.
11652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ARDR][NO ICO] Ardor, or Nxt 2.0, a Scalable Child Chain Platform on: July 23, 2016, 02:37:41 PM
as far as I understand, is just NXT 2.0 in the same way that Windows 8's new version is called Windows 10. Please do correct me if I am wrong in this, so far.

From the history of Windows I am familiar with: 95, 98, 2000, NT, XP, Vista, 7, 8 your understanding of Nxt 1.0 - Nxt 2.0 differences is completely off base. Is Windows 10 that much more different from 8 than 8 from 7 or XP?

That's hardly the point but yes, if you get to know the different versions of the system and depending of your usage of it, there are very significant differences between some of those, especially the most recent one. That was for illustrative purposes only though but since you bring it up maybe I should clarify it a bit more: If instead of calling it an asset-token-share, it would have been added to the set of tools already in NXT and called NXT 2.0, we will have exactly the same thing within just one name instead of 2? I hope the question is clearer now and easier to answer...

NXT 2.0/Ardor is completely new and fundamentally different type of blockhain, just using all present NXT 1.0 features on childchains. Using microsoft OS comaprison, I think its is DOS (NXT 1.0) and Windows (NXT 2.0/Ardor). Here is very rough and ugly infographics, explaining how it will look like:

Won't running another layer on top of NXT have issues in the performance of the platform if the usage will go higher and higher? Why not just develop Ardor's new features in NXT? I am sure it can be done.

Ardor is about childchains, it can not be done on top of present NXT, it's completely and fundamentally different. All NXT 1.0 features will be on the first childchain, while other childchain creators could choose which features from NXT 1.0 they need.

Why is there a need for Ardor features in a childchain? Why not make these features in NXT itself? Is there a technical reason for this? My overall question is what made the NXT developers create Ardor when the features can be added in NXT? Is there really a need for Ardor?
11653  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Worst mistake in gambling on: July 23, 2016, 02:31:06 PM
chasing the loss is the worst mistake...

That's very true. Most people are in denial when it comes to their skill in gambling. Almost everyone thinks that he is a good gambler but in fact only a very few are. If you don't enjoy it anymore and you keep losing, you should quit gambling forever.
11654  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016 U.S. Presidential Election Prediction Thread on: July 23, 2016, 01:24:26 PM
I think it's going to be Trump. No idea why though.. it's probably going to be something like '51%-49%' for him or something like that.... Because that's how they rigged every single poll in this world, including Brexit. The population in this entire world can't just be divided in 2 almost exact sides..... Come on now, let's be serious. It's always rigged, wherever you live.

Yes I have that feeling that it will be Trump who will win. I think the people are fed up with the same politicians all politically correct with empty promises. Trump is out of the box who has the image that he can deliver and really make "America great again". It is a good campaign slogan that will catch many people's imagination.
11655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin Dead??? on: July 23, 2016, 01:21:23 PM
Coins come and go. Dogecoin was unfortunately not something a lot of people liked.

It is not only about the people. But start ups and companies have no interest in it. So the effect is no applications and online sites are created in a massive and effective scale for dogecoins. All we see are amateurs hoping that everything will be ok and bright because the hope everyone will think that cryptocurrencies is the "future".

I have seen that the one doing the right thing is Ethereum. They have everything planned right from the beginning. But the attack and the effect of their image because of the hard fork will give them a setback.
11656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Price Speculation on: July 23, 2016, 11:41:16 AM
Yes. Interest has come back but be careful. This might be just a pump from traders taking advantage of the news of the hard fork. But we have to congratulate them for a job well done. The hard fork went very well without glitches.
11657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Eth Coin Poll on: July 23, 2016, 11:38:51 AM
This will be very hard to know. We still don't know who the attacker is and he will be a piece in the puzzle in Ethereum's future. I want to ask if the attack done to Ethereum can be replicated after the hard fork? Is the problem fundamental in the platform like some people say? If it is then they have a real problem. When the attacker makes his move again what will Vitalik do? Hard fork again?
11658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: July 23, 2016, 11:30:04 AM
I still don't understand why many people in crypto act like racists.

If i like Lisk and it's community it doesn't mean that i won't sell Lisk to catch up speeding ETH train. And by doing it im not a traitor or anything similar because this is all business in the end, it's about making profit.

Yes, i do think Lisk will do wonders in future, it has a great dedicated team, it has good foundations when it comes to code, great potential when it comes to the vision and idea behind it and it had funds to do it.

TBH I dont know what you are talking about. Everyone is here for profit. No one calls anyone traitor. It is more about fudding strategies and hidden mind games. When someone goes to some thread telling others he sold coin X to get on coin Y he has a motive to do so. It is like going to McDonalds and be telling their customers you gonna eat in BurgerKing.

It is only people being emotional because they invested money in something they want the value to go up. So they think that by bad mouthing the competition their coin's value will rise. Sometimes it is also jealousy that they have missed the train just like what happened to Ethereum months ago. Many people were angry and envious. Cheesy

11659  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] WINGS - Where DAO Unicorns Are Born on: July 23, 2016, 11:21:23 AM
So far I'm really impress with presentation, bounties, website, even logo looks good:) but if they choose to carry ICO similar way to waves ICO I will not buy... I think 20% bonus was the major reason for dump, this is perfect opportunity for short term investors which will dump after ico for sure. Instead I will pickup some after - mostlikely under ico price...niah

I am confused. Can you explain this more? What is the difference in the ICO of Wings and ICO of Waves? And what is the 20% bonus and how can you avail it?
11660  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: RISE | ICO CLOSED | RISE WITHDRAWAL ENABLED | MAINNET LIVE | TRADING ON BITTREX on: July 23, 2016, 11:10:39 AM
Well it is not looking good because no one is trading Rise. I didn't check but how much did they get ICO and how much was their target? If it is under their target then it is worrisome because it might be enough to continue development. I am also worried Stratis. I think it will be the same as Rise.
