11721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: RISE | ICO CLOSED | RISE WITHDRAWAL ENABLED | MAINNET LIVE | TRADING ON BITTREX on: July 19, 2016, 01:57:29 PM
a million coins dumped & followed by a pump. Explains a lot
The pump wont sustain unless we some solid developments soon.

It's not only about the development. It's also about marketing and the need for more people to buy the coin. Without these Rise will stagnate in the market going nowhere. A good example of this is NXT. The NXT platform is good enough in my opinion but it is going nowhere. So now they are forced to start Ardor to revive the network.
11722  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] WINGS - Where DAO Unicorns Are Born on: July 19, 2016, 01:44:14 PM
When does Wings hit Bittrex? Date?

Well... the platform will need to launch first and the tokens need to be released as well... and who knows if Bittrex will take Wing tokens?
What is your guess?

My guess is yes it will list on Bittrex. That exchange is known to list any coin that has potential. They give everyone a chance. Poloniex on the other hand is different. They play it safe and wait before adding a coin to their exchange.
11723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ICO LIVE] STRATIS | C# Blockchain Development Platform | ICO ends in 8 days on: July 19, 2016, 01:30:58 PM

I'm sorry to say that 274 bitcoins is not enough for long term development. Please find a plan B on how to get more funds in order to pay for development. What I foresee happening now is there will be a lot of running towards the door among investors to go outside first the minute the coin is available for trading.

Don't worry, many investors will jump on board before ICO ends. 1k btc will be easy to achieve.   Grin

The Stratis developers could take a loan in exchange for Stratis token options as payment. By doing that, the loaners will have a guarantee that they will get paid. They will also now have more funds for development of the platform.
11724  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: July 19, 2016, 01:23:45 PM
So it looks like the people who invested in the DAO are going to have their ETH back. According to some people around the forum the biggest investors in the DAO are also the people behind Ethereum and their insider friends. So if they recieve their ethers back, what do you speculate will happen? Will they keep holding their ethers knowing that the future of Ethereum might not be good now?
11725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: STEEM price speculation thread on: July 19, 2016, 12:40:20 PM
SBD or Steem Backed Dollars are now also listed in Poloniex and Bittrex. Steemit it seems is the current leader in cryptocurrency social media.
11726  Other / Politics & Society / Re: We Could Be Living In Simulation Says Elon Musk on: July 19, 2016, 09:55:28 AM
This guy is a fraud and a criminal. He is bribing corrupt politicians such as John McCain, to get favors for his firm (Space X). He is leeching the American defense and space budgets, by selling his over-priced and low quality rockets. Want to make America great again? Get rid of criminals such as McCain and Elon Musk.

+1

The rockets are over priced maybe because there is only a very small market for it. So SpaceX is forced to sell them at high margins. I do disgaree that they are of low quality. They have recently made their rockets land vertically on ground. I don't think low quality rockets like of Russia can do that. Elon Musk is also planning on sending a man on Mars of which the full details will be released this September. It is doubtful that they will make low quality rockets for the first man on Mars.

I am looking at the order book depth right now and I can say that patience is really required if you are holding rise right now. There are a lot of sellers and not much bidders and there is no buy up activity at the moment. Let's just hope the developers are working hard to achieve the road map ahead and market the platform well in order for start ups to test and start using it.
11728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: STEEM price speculation thread on: July 19, 2016, 07:02:11 AM
this can pretty much replace ethereum, because etheruem is facing that hardfork that may destroy it, and without the shitty pos... so miners can mine forever, unless i'm missing something

but that hack on the website has not done very well to the coin

Do you really think so? Will Steem overtake Ethereum and be no.2 in coinmarketcap and stay there? I think it will take more to it than that. Steem is only a Reddit copy and anyone can do this idea. But I will not close my mind to it because I might regret it later.
11729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your aim in gambling???? on: July 19, 2016, 06:56:47 AM
I very rarely gamble, and I only gamble when I want (usually when bored). I only gamble in small quantities because I did not dare to take the risk is too great. I consider gambling is a game if I am lucky I will win and make a profit, but if I lose it does not matter because I'm quite happy to play gambling. I play gambling such as poker, sports betting, dice.

This is a very healthy attitude towards gambling and it is what supports the gambling economy. I wish there are more people like you because it will keep the games running. But because of the bad economy around the world people have smaller disposable income resulting in those people gambling really small amounts which good, but bad for higher stakes players.
11730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do Girls also gamble? on: July 19, 2016, 06:54:02 AM
Yes.  I know they play internet poker.  And they are frequently good at it.  They can be patient, observant, and deceptive.  They learn the rest quickly.

Maybe girls will be more deceptive in a casino. Grin They talk to you like they like to go home with you but they are really taking your money and letting you buy them drinks as bonus. Women will make good gamblers.
11731  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: management of risk and money on gambling on: July 19, 2016, 06:52:20 AM
Gambling is just for fun and game to me no more, but even if it is just game and for fun i always apply management of risk and money. And i always play gambling with i can lost it. And i don't play gambling every days.
Do you apply same something what i have doing or you are very can not control your self? Share your opinions at here.

Do not bet more than 1% of your funds for gambling in any one bet. Adjust the amount of your bet always to 1% when you lose a bet because your funds are going lower and lower. But if you win, of course your bets go higher and higher. Also set a stop loss every time you gamble. You do not want to be down 50% in one day.
11732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES. Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform. on: July 19, 2016, 06:46:21 AM
Steem will on POLO,but Waves....... Cry Cry Cry

Be patient. They are still testing the code of the full nodes. Once everything is in place and in order, trading availability on Poloniex will happen. This is a serious project there is no room for mistakes in  order for stability to happen. Look at what happened with Ethereum. We do not want that.

Bitcoin is about a year into a scaling debate, without any reasonable solution shipped. Will be a big moment to watch how the two compare.

Big if though....they haven't done it yet. I'd give them an 80% chance of success I think.

If ethereum pulls off this hard fork, very positive signal for them as a team. Shows they can listen to community, execute in time of crisis

This guy is just pretending that everything is fine with the hard fork. How can he be fine with tweaking and tinkering with the transaction history? Is Brian Armstrong a big investor in the DAO?
11735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ARDR][NO ICO] Ardor, or Nxt 2.0, a Scalable Child Chain Platform on: July 19, 2016, 06:24:18 AM
So much donwward pressure on price the past few days Huh

Yes. I welcome it because I still want to get more NXT for a bargain. Smiley This also shows that no one is really interested in buying NXT at this price even with Ardor coming soon. Maybe it might be better for it to go down for a while so more people will get into NXT and automatically Ardor for the double whammy.
11736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are crypto miners/investors gamblers? on: July 19, 2016, 06:19:40 AM
In general, is the average crypto miners and investors more risk seekers than risk averse. Do you like to gamble, is the thrill of winning worth more than the fear of losing money for you?

I am getting a lot of flak from my wife and friends for investing and mining coins, are you people getting the same objection from family and friends  Cheesy

It's not gambling. You need to have good and wise decision skills to make money out of this. If you are not clever enough, you will not make it. So it is better to cut your losses now while it is cheap. This game is a marathon and it will take a long time to achieve good financial gains. But I have to say there is a little gamble in it just like starting a business.
11737  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: STEEM price speculation thread on: July 19, 2016, 06:15:16 AM
STEEM is now available for trading in Poloniex. Will we see it continue to rise or will be this be the end of the rise for the time being? I hope we see it rise again.
11738  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: what card game do you know how to play? and what is ur unforgettable experience. on: July 18, 2016, 09:33:46 AM
I have a question regarding card counting. Does it really work? If the card counters are banned from the casinos because they have the upper hand then can they play online and beat the online casino?
11739  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: July 18, 2016, 09:22:50 AM
now  the lisk is the 10th marketcap, a bouce maybe

I expect it to go out of the top 10 before doing a rise back. It's just the way of things with ICOs and cryptocurrencies. They are very very speculative and can go down and bounce back quick.
11740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is the best altcoin? on: July 18, 2016, 09:20:26 AM
I thought it was ethers before the hack. It was on the way to follow bitcoin and could have reached a 3 billion usd market cap. But now there's no "best" altcoin because no altcoin has proven to be worthy to be called the best.
