Price speculations above ATH are rather pointless, especially when we have metrics available like "Google Trends" suggesting Bitcoin has lost popularity since 2013.
The bitcoin market cap has risen a lot over the last two years, it is almost all time high. I believe it will reach ATH some time next year. $664 Bitcoin is not "almost" $1250. Bitcoin is only 53.12% of its' ATH back in December 2013. Bitcoin is never going up past $1250 because the MtGox news was mainstream and its' fallout was very destructive. Time will tell about Ethereum's DAO but I suspect people won't forget about $150 million being put at risk. Move on to better projects and I don't mean Steemit which also got hacked too. Yes all the hacking is destroying the reputation of different altcoins and platforms causing to lose their value. But this is also good because now we know that they are not secure. So now I am wondering what your suggestions are for better projects to move on to. Do you think Ardor is aomething we should be following? It has caught my eye lately.

So what is the definite date of the hard fork? Have they decalred it already? This might be good or bad for the platform. If they do hard fork they should hope that banks and companies will still be interested in using the platform.

wow. once again i am totally amazed about the transaction speed of LTC compared to the speed of BTC.
to transfer funds it is just perfect.
Also try Dogecoin. It is faster and fees are cheaper. If I was in charge in Dogecoin foundation I will organize market makers to trade in different popular exchanges in order to create liquidity and then market it as the best coin to use when transferring funds from exchange to exchange. It is fast, and the fees are cheap!

I have noticed there are maybe two or three projects that are rebooted from Crypti and Wings is one of them. And I see that there is one person involved in Lisk, Rise and Wings. What is this? Is this a new strategy of the Crypti developers? Run multiple ICO's at once?

What is the update on the hacking of Steemit? I heard a lot was stolen but the people behind it promised to pay the lost funds. That is good to see. But what is the latest update.

What kind of games can you play in PeerPlays? And what is the most popular game? Does it have dice games like Yatzy?

I just discovered this project and I have some questions. Is Rise already online? Can we download and run a node or is it yet to be released? If not, when will be the release?

To whom it may concern: The never ending story about a new logo
First I want to say: Don't take this personal. It's just my opinion. Initiative in all honor, but from a professional point of view, I don't like the aspect that people come around with their own Lisk logos, printing them on shirts, server-boxes and using them on their Lisk websites, social media, etc. It just makes Lisk look unprofessional (from my view), because if people around seeing so many different logos of Lisk, well... it just looks unprofessional - end of story. Unless there is an official new logo (new Corporate Identity) we *all* should stick to the old one, even if you don't like it. From day one, people are acting like the success of Lisk depends on the logo, but it doesn't. No the name and not the logo is important. Not a bit. That doesn't mean that I don't want a new logo (I really want), but we have a CEO who should start this officially by calling out a contest or job out a new Corporate Identity.
The problem lies in the reality that the logo is indeed to nice. It looks like a jpeg file of a mineral from a computer game and was edited to create a logo. Seeing the people making their own logos means that Lisk should allow the community be involved in creating a new logo if they do decide to replace it. If you're worried about professionalism then that logo is the very first problem. Get rid of the guy that created it and hire a better man for the job.

When are full nodes expected to be released?
In the next few days, first of all will be the public testing. When full nodes are released, I am thinking Waves will be listed in Poloniex after. Poloniex is said to run full nodes of all the coins in their exchange. But the problem is how long until they release it?

NEM surged from Brexit. Turkish coup?
This comment is simply not true. What does Brexit have to do with NEM? Only miniscule part of Britain knows about NEM. And even if more people did they will invest in the more tested equities and cryptocurrencies.

OK, I think it's time to start a movement: Get XEM listed on Poloniex margin trading and lending. Here is the link to the form to complete: https://poloniex.com/featureRequest How about if everyone who follows this thread makes the request once or twice a week? That should send a pretty strong message that this is something we all want. Let's go! just did it! it would be great to have XEM in margin trading. Done! I also did it. But I do not think it has a chance, we might get lucky. When that is activated expect more liquidity coming in for XEM.

guys security first, rather wait one week more than losing coins.
Yes I agree. We do not want Waves to be attacked the same as the DAO. It is really sad to see a promising project like that exposed to be insecure and a laughing stock in the community. Waves should not become a laughing stock.
|
|
|
The team seem to be seeking for funds from the investors for the project to continue so they want more exposure yet making this thread noticeable every minute might not help still for the contents of this thread drowning the price down. The team should at least do something positive for not just to the project but to this thread as well.
What? What do you mean seeking funds from investors? Isn't the ICO enough? I think this is one of the most successful ICO's in cryptocurrencies. I think this should be more than enough already. Where did you get the news that they are seeking more funds?
|
|
|
This is very confusing. What if someone decided to invest in the DAO by purchasing them in Poloniex? They will not be entitled to ETH after the hard fork?
If you purchase the DAO in Poloniex, after the hard fork, those DAO will be converted back to Ethereum. valid also on Kraken ? this should induce a wave of buying, Yes I have noticed there is already a wave of buying going on right now. It looks like the people are having confidence in buying again. But we'll see where it goes from here. This could be a trap.

has the difficulty adjusted - no more miner mega dumps?
If you are a speculator and want to bet big on SIA, why not contact the miners directly and trade directly with them at an agreed price and at the same time the miners dumping don't upset the market. Or maybe this is being done before?
|
|
|
Even for pure speculation I think only Waves is the only project listed there that has a chance. But even then it has low chance of achieving mainstream adoption. So best case scenario for you is it will be accepted by some banks and businesses to test and experiment with.

What will happen to 1.0? The Nxt Core Devs are committed to providing support, bug fixes and any possible emergency updates for the Nxt 1.0 chain. It will not be necessary to burn your 1.0 coins to receive 2.0 tokens, and you are free to trade your Ardor Tokens which you will receive after the snapshot period has ended.
The Core Team wants to make migrations to Nxt 2.0 as easy as possible, so is allowing a wide window for making this move. In short, nothing will change for Nxt 1.0, except that active work on new features will come to a halt. The platform will be actively maintained, so users will still benefit from a secure and well-kept platform. The Core Team will also provide help and support for users that wish to move their enterprises from Nxt 1.0 to 2.0.
I have a question. Why not just add the new features to NXT 1.0? Why was there a need to create NXT 2.0 aka Ardor? Were there any technical barriers that made it harder to do so? Please explain thank you.

I wish someone would make the dice game Yatzy available in their casino. I used to play this with my cousin when I was young. It is a very fun game to play and has the right balance you skill and luck.

My strtegy is very simple. It is called self control. i strt with .01 anytime i get more than .001 over that amount i immidieately withdraw that ammount into coinbase. this way, i cant get cocky and gamble away huge orofits! Ehat are you guys opinions on this strat
I think the better way is to limit your losses, not your wins. It isn't everyday that you can win consistently there will be losing days so you have to control your losses. If you control your wins you will only be a small winner and a big loser.
