I am wondering what will happen after all the Ardor tokens are distributed. I'm sure a lot of "investors" bought NXT only to acquire free Ardor. But I am speculating that when the distribution is over people will dump both NXT and Ardor making a double whammy profit. Unless there is an agreement among the big buyers to hold after distribution.
I don't think NXT will be worth much after the snapshots. Crypti got pumped during the Lisk IPO but now its been dumped down to the bottom of the top 100 whereas Lisk is still in the top 10. The same will probably happen to NXT and Ardor. So you mean to say you speculate that Ardor will be held by investors but NXT will be dumped? Now that I come to think of it, you may be wrong. NXT and Crypti are in different situations. Ardor is a child chain of NXT while Lisk is a totally new blockchain. In Ardor are all the features of NXT plus more and in Lisk is a brand new untested platform. The people behind Ardor might have the upper hand from a continuity perspective and this could translate to NXT and Ardor complementing each other with each giving and taking what it has to offer with the two. |

I think waves should be announced progress in time, listed on the POLO as soon as possible, give investors confidence, now trading is in decline, the market seems to be dying.

Profit depends on your costs. If you have monthly costs of $5 for renting a VPS where your NEM node is running, then you could be profitable by harvesting with 500k of NEM. But it also depends on your importance. Someone with a smaller amount of XEM and a high importance can be as successfully as someone with a higher amount of XEM and a lower importance. and nobody in polo..im alone troll for xem..fuk   12K is not enough to harvest many blocks...  How much XEM is recommended in order for harvesting to be slightly profitable? I think a guide to how to harvest XEM should be written and posted online to encourage people to be proactive in the network. Ok what if I am really new to NEM and I have a VPS for $5.00 a month and I have no/low importance, how much NEM must I have to harvest a decent amount of XEM? I guess like you said it is still 500,000? Also how does one acquire importance? What are the tricks of the trade so to speak? Maybe I could become a NEM escrower? Would that help? |

Is the rise of Sia over? I think this was only a pumped because there was no huge good news after the price went up. Or maybe we still haven't seen the best part yet?
The SIA was mined previously mainly by users, now, it is mined by the professional miners. So there will be dumps. So does it mean that SIA will be very much the same like bitcoin? Will the professional miners also become a cartel and have power over the SIA core developers and bypass the community? I hope it's not so. Where can we find this information? Is there a website for this? For instance https://www.whattomine.com/coinsOr check the pools and see what people are beeing payed at diff speeds. Today ETH is on top again, but thats barely. The other ethash coins are worth checking out. EXPand, SHIFT, KRypton and SOIL. Thank you. I think ETH is finally stable. It might be a good time to start observing it again. It is understandable that people are scared in buy ETH at this time. But in coming weeks I think this will be a good buy and people will have more confidence. |

Please help me to understand this snapshot thing..
Let say I have 10000 nxt and remains same during the Snapshot period, which is 91 days or 2184 hours, since the snapshot will be taken on an hourly basis...
So, at the SNAPSHOT period, my total nxt accumulated if snapshot taken on a hourly basis and then added, i.e. 21840000 NXT, which then will be divided by 2184 hours, which comes to 10000 Ardor for me... ri8???
Or my concept is totally wrong..
You can use this example if i hold 10.000nxt for 14 Days with hourly snapshots. 10,000 NXT * 14 days * 24 hours / (90 days * 24 hours) = 1,555 Thx for the clarification..So, at the end of the Snapshot, my 10000 nxt, if remains same, will become 10000 ardor... Yes  you will own 10000 nxt and 10000 ardor at the end. I am only speculating here but I want to ask what will happen to NXT after all the Ardor is already given away? Will the ones who bought NXT just to gain Ardor now dump NXT or will they dump Ardor? Or maybe dump both? I am now suspicious that a lot of the people who recently bought NXT or only in it for the profit in bitcoins. It's a speculative question and they are always hard to answer. I can only answer from our position as the Nxt Foundation which is that regardless of speculation we will keep working to create and maintain value for both Nxt and Ardor. There is no way we can stop any speculators doing what they want, but we can make sure it's used and has value. Even if some people would offload Nxt in October, we'll work to increase it again. We've been working at that even when Nxt was at it's lowest point, and just see where it got us now. We firmly believe that success takes time and that working to create long term value is much better than reacting to speculative movements we have little control over. Waves stays at 30k and no news.
I think it will go back down. The rise was nothing but merely a pump. But it seems the pumpers are not around anymore so expect it to be under 30k in the next few weeks. Maybe the think you should use the ICO funds to pump LSK. i guess you are joking,ico funds should not be used for pump.that would be a mistake.ico funds are for real vallue developement. I hope you are joking regarding using ICO funding for pump that is the worst idea on how to devalue coin and market manipulations at its finest - it wouldn't do LISK any good any after that pump we would see a massive dump and more coins in market circulation. Gambling could be risky even for rich people, because may be he will make big bets and lose big sums , so i don't think it's a effective solution.
But think about those who got rich from gambling only ? They will surely gamble and they have every reason to justify their actions.I know a friend who earned like 10k $ in few bets and then got rich, but lost all. In such cases we cannot blame rich for gambling even when he is rich. Those who got rich in gambling only will tend to lose it all also in gambling. One good example of this is Archie Karas. He made millions only to lose it all in a span of a few days. |

Kids in general shouldn't gamble, especially with money because they can easily become addicted in their adolescents. That's why you need to be over the age of 18 or 21 in most places to enter a casino.
I agree with this. And imagine kids in third world countries if they are allowed to gamble. Instead of studying hard they will only think of gambling and instead of buying food they will gamble with the little money they have. It could be considered a form of exploitation. |

A couple of questions... How does Steemit pay off these people? Where does Steemit get their revenue?
From what I can understand, the devs mined all of coins in the beginning and maintain control now through witnesses. The Steemit website (totally separate from the blockchain) is them redistributing these coins to users. It's an interesting tactic. The number of coins out in the wild - the free float if you like - is miniscule. They can therefore make the coin look like it has this massive cap when in fact it doesn't. A good example of this is the ask side on Bittrex, which at 35,000 Steem is currently less than 0.05% of the supply. Btw, currently $400M cap supported by a whole 200 BTC on Trex. lolol... Very smart of the creators of Steem. They beat everyone to the punch and could be on a potential gold mine here. |
