11941  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Seriously, why would anyone want $20 Billion Dollars? on: September 06, 2018, 07:10:39 PM
I’m not sure I’d need 20 billion dollars, but I could spend 4 billion no problem. Professional sports franchise, mansion, vacation mansion, toys, starting my dream company, donating to my favorite charities, paying off all the debts of my friends and family... It would be spent before the check cleared.
11942  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Rape me please! on: September 06, 2018, 06:40:24 PM
It's also an issue here in my country, rape was all over the news.

Which country? Do you believe the opening of borders has contributed to the rape problem in recent years?
11943  Other / Serious discussion / Re: How do you feel about not psysically know people from the forum? on: September 06, 2018, 06:36:15 PM
I’ve met a couple forum members. It’s always been a great experience. There are lots of troublemakers here who love to stir up trouble any way they can from behind a keyboard, but we all have a unique shared common interest that I think presented in the right atmosphere would likely turn many forum enemies into friends. I know I’d love to share a beer with anyone who loved Bitcoin as much as I do.
11944  Other / Meta / Re: Let’s do an experiment: allow signatures on the Ivory Tower for one month. on: September 06, 2018, 06:30:37 PM
No. It utterly defeats the purpose of having that board in the first place.

How is it not working? Clearly it is working if it's not full of sig spam.
The purpose is working, it's just that the board is sorta dead, and people aren't posting interesting enough stuff in it. We are just seeing P&S board II.

I figured the section was created as a joke to appease those with a superiority complex. I mean, it’s called Ivory Tower...

Looks like he’s mad because he entered the contest and didn’t win. Pretty typical for this user to attack others out of jealousy.
11946  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN/WTS] The 2017 Friends of Satoshi Coin (V2) on: September 06, 2018, 06:10:42 PM
By purchasing a V2 coin, you are supporting our goals and making our work possible. We have a number of projects in the works, and are excited to share with you in the future!

Any update on what came next for FoS?
11947  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: I would like to hear your opinion about Ethereum Classic on: September 06, 2018, 05:57:36 PM
when I think of ETC the one and only thing that comes to mind is that it is - not ETH.

that's it. where's the innovation? what are they doing differently or better than ETH? what else did continuing on the original chain gift the world?

I agree that not giving up on immutability is a huge deal but that was now several years ago. I think it's pretty clear now that hardly anyone cares about real decentralization. they follow the dollars.

You answered your own questions with immutability. I personally think ETH is extremely overvalued, and the fact that new investments are being made by people that don’t care about decentralization should be seen as an opportunity to sell off these coins with no future and use your expertise to select ones with values and teams consistent with Bitcoin’s decentralized trustless vision.
11948  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Lauda, MinerJones, Blazed | Missing escrow funds on: September 06, 2018, 05:05:34 PM
Well well well, BitcoinTalk staff accused of stealing.

I don’t believe anyone is accusing Bitcointalk staff of stealing.
11949  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] 1oz .999 Silver NastyFans Minted Seats on: September 06, 2018, 04:16:19 PM
I wasn’t complaining, but since you directed an ignorant comment to me.... let’s run with it.  I would love for you to explain this “free” BTC.  Didn’t customers pay a premium to get your said “free” BTC??

If you don’t like the product, don’t buy.  If you don’t like the returns, get involved.  If you just want to bitch and complain, create a new thread.  I’m quite thrilled with 30,000 seats generating $3 each in two years (that’s $120,000 in donations to NastyFans)!  It wildly surpasses any expectation I had when I raised a couple hundred dollars to run an FPGA miner more than 6 years ago.  I can’t wait to hear the amount people are complaining about in another 7 years.  I’m sure it will be equally impressive and those who own this piece of crypto history are unlikely to be disappointed.

This thread just broke 30,000 views!
11950  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] 1oz .999 Silver NastyFans Minted Seats on: September 06, 2018, 03:48:28 PM
Total BTC Collected by my 1 seat since June 5, 2016 : 0.00045242 BTC

WOW.... less than $3.00 in 2 years and 3 months......  Roll Eyes

Good luck with your sale.

You’re right. There are lots of coins out there that have earned more free BTC.  Cheesy

Oh wait, this is the ONLY physical BTC line ever created that generates actual coins.  Let’s complain about it!
11951  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ICE ROCK MINING - SCAM!!! on: September 05, 2018, 06:20:47 PM
I can not understand, this token is already traded, at $ 0.23. I do not understand why this project is considered a scam.

They are promising something that can't be promised.  A sure sign of a scam.  They may be able to use investor funds to pump this a couple times, but make no mistake about it, they will not return >400% of your BTC like they say.  If you can get out with your BTC, you would be wise to do so.
11952  Economy / Speculation / Re: Satoshi Nakamato selling 111000 Bitcoins ? on: September 05, 2018, 02:49:15 AM
The wallet is believed to be tied to Silk Road, not satoshi.

11954  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain Launches Antminer S9 Hydro on: September 04, 2018, 04:51:36 PM
Only pitty is: why do this with 2.5 year old technology instead of the newer technology that all competitors have...?

Hopefully it is just to sell off their inventory of remaining chips and deal with any customer issues that arise due to liquid cooling before they roll out the S11.

11957  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Lauda, MinerJones, Blazed | Missing escrow funds on: September 03, 2018, 03:32:59 AM
Another term that was very cleary broken was that Lauda, Blazed and Minerjones would keep the bitcoin at a specific address, however the bitcoin was moved out of the escrow address very early on.

Agreed. Any movement of funds should have been publicly explained and new messages signed. It is very clear there was wrongdoing here.
