11961  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When asking for a refund from a seller.... on: March 14, 2015, 05:11:49 AM
I would personally say it depends on how the amount of bitcoin you paid was determined. If you paid in terms of fiat then you should get a similar amount of fait worth of Bitcoin back but if you paid in terms of botcoin then you should get a similar amount of bitcoin back.

For example if you paid $100 worth of bitcoin for something then you should get $100 worth of bitcoin back but if you paid .25 for something then you should get .25 back.

- Due to the nature of visa card the card should be used fully up within 2 hours after escrow is opened. After this i am no longer reliable
for the balance of the card and validity
In other words the card was purchased with stolen funds and the card will no longer work after two hours.

Am I right on this?
Offcourse not. I will be happy to provide proofs that thats not the case to the winner of the auction.
Visa gift card balances tend to expire after months of inactivity. You are making it a requirement for the buyer to spend it within hours.

If the card is legitimate then why can't the buyer spend a small amount immediately and then spend the rest over the next several months at their pleasure?

and here
http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/2yuo3s/charlie_shrems_contact_information_and_his_wishes/

somebody (thank you, somebody) called him out before me,
says he is working on it,
yea right...
Well he said that he is 'working' on getting the debt owed to you settled prior to him surrendering to start his sentence. I am not sure how solid that statement really is though.

It is too bad that he has not resolved this before now, because I was fairly certain that he would have gotten this situation resolved long before now, especially considering how much business he has done in the past
11965  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Selling bitcointalk.org accounts Update March 13 on: March 13, 2015, 11:04:06 PM
Fun to see that people are buying forum accounts here... good to know. In case I get tired of my account, I know what to do lol.

Your account would be worth a bit more than average full member accounts since you have an avatar.

I have sent a PM to you regarding purchase of accounts.

Thanks!
I replied to your PM

I have replied.
I am notified anytime I receive a PM so you don't need to post here every time you send me a PM. But I replied to your reply.

Can anyone verify this please?
Thank you
He needs to tell you what message he is signing otherwise it is not possible to verify the signature. The message should contain the date and be specific in order to make sure that the person providing the signature is actually the one who owns/controls the address in question.

The both of you should really review this blog post to get more information as to how to sign a message and how to verify a message
11967  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Buying Member Account on: March 13, 2015, 10:15:52 PM
I don't think anyone is going to sell you a member account for .02 BTC. You can easily earn more then that in only a month participating in a signature deal, and while participating in a sig deal you would eventually rank up to a full member that would allow you to earn even more.
11968  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Official Seller] Silver Wallets - A New Kind of Physical Storage on: March 13, 2015, 10:13:05 PM
So I Just got my silver wallet in the mail and I wanted to give my feedback.

When the package arrived in the mail, I found a letter from their business partner explaining how to load the silver wallet along with very professional packaging. The coin itself came in an airtight capsule in case you wanted to keep it in as good of condition as possible in the event that you wanted to get it graded.

Also in my package, I received three holograms and a slab to hold the coin in, none of which I was expecting (thank you for that).

Once I was finally able to get the coin out of it's airtight capsule, I found a very beautiful coin. On the front,  I found a space to put a paper QR code for the private key, along with the coin number and the words 'silver wallets'. On the back is the words 'Universale Monetae' which is latin for Universal money on the top, and in the center there is the currency symbols for the Yen, the Dollar, the Euro, the British Pound, Gold and Silver. On the bottom of the center there is some formula that I am not sure what it means.

I decided not to actually put a QR code underneath the hologram. After putting the hologram on the front, the coin is even more beautiful then it was before. The hologram has the BTC symbol in the center with the word 'bitcoin' repeated several times around the edge.

I have decided to rebel and take the coin out of it's capsule, and keep it on my person to serve as a good luck charm, as this coin is inexpensive enough for this to not be a horrible financial decision. After handling it after as much I have so far the coin will probably not grade very well anymore. I am no expert in coin grading, however when it was first taken out of the capsule, there was nothing wrong with the coin that was visible to the naked eye.

I think this is a great coin to buy with any one's signature campaign earnings. With current pricing starting at only $75 plus shipping, you could easily pay for this with only a few weeks worth of signature campaign earnings. At current exchange rates, the price works out to ~0.26 BTC.

If you are interested in bitcoin this is a great memorabilia to own. If your budget is limited, this is a great way to start or add to your coin collection.

Below are pictures of my coin:

11969  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTS] Selling Bitcoin for PayPal USD // Bitstamp +15% // HURRY! on: March 13, 2015, 08:44:43 PM
LOL 15% +..... Fuck that you greedy asshole. People like you make me sick. I hope the buyer does a charge back that would be karma.
15% is probably a little bit on the high side if he is only willing to deal with trustworthy people, however it is a free market and he is probably targeting people who want to quickly have access to funds when selling bitcoin.

The fact that he is looking for reputation means that he is looking for someone who has a tendency to do business honestly so the risk of chargebacks for him would be low.
11970  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTB] Full Member Accounts on: March 13, 2015, 08:17:36 PM
You wont get anything for 0.075BTC.

Although I have a newbie account which has a potential of becoming a full member just by posting(the account isn't mine from the beginning, I just bought it from someone and I am reselling it).

The newbie account I have has like 10+ posts and as soon as you make 120+ posts, the account will become a full member. I hope you know how this happens, if you don't then here it is- If you post at least once in every two week period then the 14 activity points of that period gets accumulated in the account and the activity increase when you make sufficient posts. So the activity of the newbie account will increase as you keep on posting and it will become a full member.

I can sell it to you for 0.075BTC. Not a penny less than that.
you realise that it would take 2 months for it to become a full member yes?
Have you even read what I have written there? You guys keep posting fuck shit just to increase your count. F**kface first read what I have written
i read it and it was a description of an ordinary account. why did you get offended? its a newbie account which you want to sell for 0.075 am i wrong?
He is selling a newbie account that can become a full member just by posting. I personally don't think those kinds of accounts are worth as much as the .075 he is asking for them. I have sold similar accounts but can get ~90 activity for ~.05 in the past but that was when the account market is healthier then it is now.
11971  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Selling senior account on: March 13, 2015, 08:06:59 PM
Sadly the account market is really too saturated to support a price of .5 BTC for an account with only 250 activity. You are correct to say that one could easily ROI in only a few weeks with that price however there are too many other people willing to sell accounts with similar activity levels and too few buyers willing to pay for them.

This is probably a good time for someone to buy a senior ranking account who plans to post constructively in a signature campaign.
11972  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTB] Full Member Accounts on: March 13, 2015, 07:52:31 PM
I have a member account that I believe can become a full member just by posting for .075 BTC however I would not be willing to sell any full member accounts for that little, and I don't think it would be smart for anyone else to do the same.

I do have four full member accounts that all have neutral trust when being looked at by someone that uses only default trust and a trust level of 2 (the default settings) with 120+ activity, however my price would be a lot more then .075 BTC. You need to remember that there are several pay per post signature campaigns out there today that pay enough so that you could ROI with less then 100 posts at the rate you are offering.

Someone answered some of my questions I put in here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17k_-YlqSk6HNNEjEu4anY2V4-nLQc_im4P4vkSVSzxE/edit#gid=0

Would like to know who it is? And especially how this could be done:

Do you know how to get current post count from bitcointalk.org?
yes

Though I think it is possible, is it possible to put it in a spreadsheet directly?
I am not sure if it was me that answered the do you know how to put the current post count in the spreadsheet, but I do know how, although it doesn't work very well when making a lot of queries, so you would probably not want to do it for the entire sheet. I did answer the other questions though.

Give me a while and let me find the exact formula to use to get the current post count into a google docs spreadsheet and I will let you know.

Looks like I was too in checking back here and those 2 slots are gone...doh.
The spreadsheet lists one hero+ spot left and lists cyclops as being enrolled so it is up to date. I am pretty sure there is one spot for you.

11975  Other / Meta / Re: Make Account Bans limit all but Meta Section. on: March 13, 2015, 12:18:43 PM
I actually considered proposing this several months ago but never got around to it. After thinking about this for a while, I would think the likely result is that people would just make a lot of insubstantial posts with their paid signature in the meta section in order for them to continue getting paid while they are banned

Maybe code in something that doesn't make posts add to your count when your banned? :/ Even though that would interfere with logging of posts and whatnot. I'm not sure.
Well you can't code the way that other people count posts.

My proposal to have any signature automatically removed when a ban is instituted would actually solve this problem because the signature campaign manager would (hopefully) see the removed signature and would withhold payment as a result, and the incentive for someone to post a bunch of useless posts in meta would be removed

You will generally not get banned for one or two posts (unless you are spreading malware) but rather for your overall (short term) posting history. From what I can tell, you are somewhat less technologically advanced then most others here, and have seen you ask a lot of questions that I would think that most people who have been around as long as you have would know the answers to - some people will sometimes open a thread just so they can reply to a lot of responses and asking newbie like questions is a way that will greatly increase your post count however there is no real point to such questions if you already know the answers too them.

So I was banned for being a moron?
LOL, I don't think so. However I think the large number of newbie like questions may have contributed to the decision to ban you. Your overall posting history is weak and does contain a large number of posts that are lacking any real reason for being posted, even if you ignore all the posts (which are a lot) in threads that you created.
11978  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTS] [OFFER] Buy HERO ACCOUNT FOR 0.25 BTC !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on: March 13, 2015, 12:03:05 PM
Own the account with the highest reputation, be it positive or negative.

Own a piece of history of Bitcointalk.

Buy now for the lowest possible amount you can get : 0.25BTC Only

(Don't forget to leave a negative trust for selling the account)

Is this the previous owner of the account or is this already bought by the current owner?
I'm just curious.
It is the previous owner. The sale of his account was staged a few months ago in order to try to get people to remove negative feedback from the account.

I don't think the account is worth the .25 he is asking for it. In theory it might be worth somewhere along the lines of what a low level full member account is worth with a weak posting history as it was allowed to participate in the bit mixer signature campaign, although I am not sure if this is still the case.
