121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How long can this BULL run last?? on: March 26, 2021, 09:57:14 AM
I am suspecting that the bullrun is almost interjected with the recent decline in the price of Bitcoin. Bullrun has become a constant trend in the crypto space within the six months. The big players in wall street have come in and the bullrun keeps them in the business for profit making.

Just a curious question.
How long can this BULL run last??
As there will be a huge correction inevitably.

Would love to hear different strategies or exit plans or Hodlers
Which coin should we buy now?

Guidance from old Experts would be appreciated!
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wrapped Doge? on: March 25, 2021, 06:18:59 PM
Interoperability has created the avenue for tokens to be wrapped in various sections of exchangers. In order to differentiate between the chains on which they exist, they thereby term them wrapped but all other features remains the same. the emergence of Doge coin in the top of charts of coins by marketcapitilization has further affirmed the inclusion of the coin in various platfroms and also ushered it into the list of coins necessary to be exchanged for.

It would've been great if a developer brought DOGE into the world of smart contracts. A "Wrapped" version of Dogecoin would be a great idea to spur the "meme" coin's mainstream adoption. I'd like to see the day where we can use our Dogecoin to interact not only with ETH dApps, but also dApps on other chains such as TRON, EOS, Cardano and so on. I know that DOGE was never meant to be taken seriously, but it wouldn't hurt having a pegged asset on a smart contract platform to bring DOGE holders the option to interact with dApps using their own coins.

Does a legitimate "Wrapped DOGE" token exist on the ETH blockchain? Do you think "wrapping" Dogecoin on a smart contract platform is a good idea? Will it gain enough liquidity/trading volume over time? Or will it go all the way down the drain? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Smiley
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the Top 5coins: Stability (no bitconnect types) and not too volitile? on: March 25, 2021, 06:15:02 PM
Looking inwards, i can approve of ethereum mainaining a stable positions just as a stable coin will but bitcoin has not been the same as its prices has created new highs and lows without specificity and other coins might be EOS, TRON and a few others.

BTC is going so high its getting hard to day trade, my megar thousands of dollars just doesnt have the buying power to take advantage of a big swing. But Im also not a gambler so I wont buy "junk stock/bonds" type of coins where there is no real utility to them and are likely to pump and dump.

1 BTC
2 ETH
3 LTH
4?
5?

I want to diversify even though it seems like they all follow bit coin, but I can buy much more liye coins then BTC. Is it possible that BTC can get so that unless you have some serious money you are not going make shit day trading even if its a perfect;y timed trade.

I liked it when BTC was sub 17k because I could buy a couple grand watch the price swing up sell and make some decent money. Or is my strategy all wrong? I dont like to go long but I do have some BTC and only BTC that I am going long with because it seems to recover and bounce back, HODL if you will. But I want to use the other half of my crypto account thats just sitting in fiat right now. I bought one coin a few month back EOS? where the price went up 60% quickly then I sold when it platowed, its one of those coins thats made to be spent on goods and item hence solving the problem that if you were a merchant accepting BTC you would have to sell constantly so you are not losing your money in the market, what I though bitcoin was supposed to be for. BTC could totally crush western union and cash app if it had a stable coin counter part.
124  Other / Archival / Re: DeFi hyip is over? on: March 25, 2021, 06:12:37 PM
There is not one of the coins mentioned below that has not made an amazing 200% percent. If these coins were bought as at time of the mention and the portfolio was locked, going back to it will create at least a 150 to 300% turnover on investment. I am guessing the author of this post did some good research or analysis.

All summer, and especially August, the market was booming with news about the super growth of tokens. Yeald farming, stacking gave crazy interest. New tokens appeared every day, the number of assets involved in this area was steadily growing. And what we see now:

source: @ceterispar1bus

Some projects have already reached -90%, yeald farming is no longer so profitable.

All large projects have fallen in price, not to mention any little-known tokens with low liquidity. Is the market entering a new phase?

What will this correction give us? The market will be cleared of all garbage and DeFi will be promoted exactly as a technology, as before, not just a desire to collect money from the crowd or should we wait for a second wave, as it was in 2017, when after the correction many alto tokens grew even more and then died forever?

125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: if btc is in a bear market, can some alts still moon ? on: March 23, 2021, 11:57:45 PM
Although, it is a known fact that Bitcoin is the direct or indirect referred point of all coinage as blockchain and cryptocurrency is concerned but then they are individual projects and their use cases as well. Whenever they sign a partnership, it affects positively, the price whether bitcoin is bullish or bearish.
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins are undervalued right now? on: March 23, 2021, 11:55:34 PM
The idea of coins being undervalued has more to do with their global acceptance and level of work done on their roadmap and all of that as deemed fit by both the community and the users generally, but if I was to point coins I will start with Matic, which is now Polygon. It is highly undervalued.
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is why i move to Binance Smart Chain on: March 23, 2021, 11:53:52 PM
The gas gees charged on binance smart chain is the major reason why I love it. Although, other reasons may be observed as I progressively utilize the platform but for now, I have only observed the less gas fees, although its not the cheapest in all blockchsins but considering the number of projects on it

129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter hackers pleads guilty and agree to a 3 year in prison on: March 20, 2021, 07:55:06 AM
Justice is said to have been served but the dact remains that soial media account owners should always ensure that their accounts are  safe at all time as the security of their account is entirely their own responsibility. What if it had happened from another region where there is limited resources to fish out the culprits, does it mean the ahacker(s) would have walked away with people's money and still continue with their business. We should enure we all take security personal.

I'm pretty sure that the Twitter hack is still fresh in our memory, this is high profile because it involves a lot of crypto exchanges like, @coinbase, @Gemini, and @binance and then celebrities, @JeffBezos, @BarackObama, @elon_musk, @JoeBiden, @BillGates, and @WarrenBuffett.

And Graham Ivan Clark was charge last year and now agreed on Tuesday to be sentenced as a youthful offender to three years in prison, + three years of probation.

Here are the official docs: https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/20515610-plea-agreement-acknowledgment-of-waiver-of-rights-bc-6f018852-673e-4df1-85da-4c5629856265

What are your thoughts of the sentencing? he has served seven months already of the three years sentenced on him.
130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin better than Fiat? on: March 20, 2021, 07:46:45 AM
The invention of Bitcoin has further exposed the hidden agenda behind regular fiat currencies and wht the centralization does to the masses and the negative part of it called inflation. I can bet you that the folks in the regular finance system in the conventional banks aren't cool with this exposure. They wanted the world to believe that their fiat is the ultimate but Satoshi Nakamoto proved them wrong.

For the first time in history, money is separated from the state. Bitcoin aims to be an alternative to Fiat currencies by providing financial inclusion to anyone, anywhere in the world. A system governed by mathematics and cryptography will put an end to corruption once and for all. The pioneer cryptocurrency can be used globally without limitations thanks to its decentralized model. People can send cross-border payments in minutes without the need for ID verification, background checks, or credit checks of any kind. This brings a whole new era of financial sovereignty as we know it.

What do you think? Is Bitcoin better than Fiat? If not, why? Is it still too early to tell? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Smiley
131  Other / Archival / Re: What will happen to bitcoin on a world war? on: March 19, 2021, 01:57:05 PM
one thing I know for sure is that money is money and will remain money irrespective of what comes or befalls earth. The idea of internet is now beyond earth as it has also been taken to mars/moon by our scientist and all those in the line of space engineering. If war breaks out, it only exists on earth and not on both planets together. private keys will remain the access to those financial portfolios and they can be accessed from just anywhere all you have to consider is to safeguard your private key because even in the abscence of war, A lost private key is a burnt coin!
132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin fall to zero? Be woke with changes of No. of BTC with $ 1 million on: March 19, 2021, 01:46:34 PM
Bitcoin is on a Jet speed to Moon! The recent price increase and general bullish market is notunconnected to the fact that loads of firms have started buying into the blockchain space and creating more scarcity for the bitcoin unit thereby driving prices to the roof. i do not see bitcoin falling to zero as loads of financial institutions have committed their reserves towards purchasing bitcoin and more are alos coming onboard. Bitcoin is Mooning and still will continue to.

As the title described, I don't write more content here. Let's keep it short and look at the visual plot.

US dollar and other fiats are in over-inflated period. The pandemic triggered the money-printing industries globally and gave us free opportunity to see the beauty of fiats and government-based finance.

Even, in worst scenarios when bitcoin falls to the hell, I honestly will be very happy if there are people want to finish deals with me to exchange 10000 Bitcoin for 2 pizzas.

  • With pizzas, I eat, defecate and all will vanish in the air.
  • With bitcoin, it stays with me.

I also saw this interesting and informative article. In a nutshell, the article says that value of bitcoin is increasing and transactions (non-Coinbase) have been switching to multiplier of 1 BTC to satoshi. In addition, its Velocity is in bottom range.

I drop it here now but I planned to try reproduce it from data. Let's see what I can do. With blockchain, and public ledger, data analyses are reproducible.

133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk name once again used to fool people by hackers! on: March 19, 2021, 01:41:28 PM

Ever since Elon Musk got involved in crypto, loads of events have unfolded, scammers have decided to deploy their skills in graphic designs to modify most of Musk's comments and also deployed formts that are claimed to have come from Musk towards doubling on their investments. All should be careful of these scammers as they are out to make more off those who are genuinely making money but ignorant of their devices.

Musk has been in limelight from past year from gaining huge wealth and becoming richest person on the planet with net worth of $200 billion surpassing Jeff Bezos. This happened due to instant rise in Tesla share prices and Elon became socially active on crypto related tweets promoting Dogecoin to insane pumps and adding Bitcoin in his bio.But on the other hand he is associated with some scams also not done by him but by hackers in his name like vanity address scam I mentioned here Vanity address scam to the latest ones.

New scam which has been done in his name is A Germany man lost Bitcoins worth 4 crores by depositing them on fake deposit address mentioned on Musk twiiter which was done by hacker.

The man deposited on fake address to double his Bitcoins in 30 minutes time frame without even realising that it is clear scam. Why would Musk announce such a giveaway? People just got eroded away with the greed and ends up loosing all their money. We need to first recheck everything before doing such stupid acts and act wisely.
134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin puzzle transaction ~32 BTC prize to who solves it on: March 19, 2021, 01:34:03 PM
The idea of solving complex algorithms supposedly for a computer and in reward for a 32 bitcoin units award, i will say its almost impossible. You aer talking about a reward system that exceeds 1.6 million dollars and one should look that way as a reality even in the face of bitoin scarcity? All should avoind this please.
135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying 1 BTC is ‘like owning 60 cars? on: March 18, 2021, 01:44:38 PM
I remember when 1 bitcoin was valued at way less than a thousand dollars and then it could be used to buy loads of stuff but definitely a car, but today we see the increase in price of bitcoin over the years ahs given it massive price appreciation that can make it afford to buy more than 5 cars depending on the price per unit. Bitcoin is indeed a great tech and as well a great investment.
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins to invest in right now on: March 18, 2021, 01:42:23 PM
Always invest in projects that have use cases and also have teams that are well experienced, although most projects have good use cases without having the top notch team and then they work tirelessly to bring it to reality, in such cases, you don't really consider the team as they are geared towards the success of the project

Which altcoins would you select to invest now?

Mine are:

EOS
Alpha
Mantra
Cartesi
Siacoin
XRP
Reef

137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It is not easy to make money in cryptocurrency on: March 18, 2021, 01:38:18 PM
It is almost impossible to have a recorded details of projects or bounties that promised to pay you an exact amount of money or percentage and kept to that promise. Just as the industry remains a volatile one, so are the currencies that exist within it. making money in the space is a bit easy when the required skill is applied but when the issue of airdrops and bounty payment is discussed, it remains uncertain.

Believe me my friend, anywhere in the world, it is not easy to make money. If you see any airdrop that promises 100$, 200$, 300$, 500$ and above just for referring peeps, or sharing post online, then it is atmost 99% fraudulent.

Likewise, if you see trade signals that promises certainty, or bounties that promises you a fixed price for your token, be wary. It is not that easy nor realistic.
138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Opinion About Future of Bitcoin Scalability on: March 18, 2021, 01:35:12 PM
The scalability of bitcoin has till today remained an issue, many solutions including Bitcoin Lightening has been proffered as solutions. But in my opinion, I believe the solution to this will be to increase the capacity of data that is to be stored in a block. From my understanding, the size of the block data has a direct influence on the scalability of the network.

I suspect there are no good solution for cryptocurrency microtransactions. We cannot record billions of transactions of all people in the blockchain every day. I believe that Lightning Network is not good and safe solution.
These days, we can potentially use fast and centralized stablecoins, but not store large amounts in them.

But in the distant future it might look like this:

We can use some centralized "bitcoin banks" where ordinary people will keep their bitcoins.
Banks can also print bitcoin banknotes that are backed by real BTC (legacy mode support).
If you are very rich guy or cypherpunk or cryptoanarchist or Satoshi Nakamoto you can still use your cold wallet to keep your money and use paper bitcoins for micro-transactions.
If you are ordinary person you can keep some money in centralized "bitcoin banks" to use their fast network like Visa for fast small transactions. If you keep all money in that bank and that bank goes bankrupt, then it's only your fault.
If you have a lot of paper bitcoins and they are actually not backed by real BTC -  it's only your fault.

What do you think about it?
139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time to sell my BTC? on: March 16, 2021, 06:37:35 PM
Seeing how bitcoin has remained in the bull nature for this lengthy period, i can only but say that you hold. People are expecting the price of bitcoin to drop to a 39k level but that is just limited to technical analysis which can be over driven by fundamental analysis. just hold.

So I bought BTC at £9000, made a nice amount. Is it a good idea to now sell this and move that money into alt coins? or should I  sell half BTC and buy back in after alt season is finished?

What do you think?
140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do ordinary people feel afraid of Bitcoin? on: March 16, 2021, 06:34:38 PM
It is normal for people to feel scared of what they have little or no information about and most importantly as it concerns finance, people have heard of the kind of money made from the blockchain space and the truth be told, it was just a transfer of wealth from an investor to some trader who wants to sell off his digital asset. nobody likes to part ways with money no matter how small, so, i can understand why people are scared of bitcoin.

Someone told me not long ago: Bitcoin is a dangerous game. It is even possible for some people or groups to take over the blockchain through a majority and destroy the entire mechanism. People don't know they are playing these games.

For a long time buying Google at a high price, Amazon and Apple are both good choices for me.

Yes, there are a lot of stocks there, there are also cryptocurrencies, there are also many bonds and debt instruments.
In the US, there are obviously 9,600 mutual funds (quick Google search)
. The question is, which of the thousands is worth buying.

Just because some or many of the available options are not good investments, it does not mean that the entire asset class is bad.

The prosperity of encryption technology is just like the technological prosperity. They have got a lot of IPOs because of various stupid ideas. Most of these technology companies are stupid and not worth it.
Nowadays, there are many ICOs, most of them are stupid and not worth it.

However, there are still opportunities to realize value.

Also about digital assets. Digital assets have become a reality.
Did you know that Fortnite had nearly $2 billion in revenue last year?
Do you know what these billion users got? Different appearances in the game can give characters different dance moves.
You can play the exact same game without paying any fees.
