121  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Tingin nyo bababa pa sa $8k o mahihit uli ang $18k per BTC on: March 28, 2018, 04:40:14 PM
Currently, prices are $7.8k and yes it did go down a bit below $8k. Nagrerange siya from 7.7-8k USD.
122  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Napanood Mo Ba Ang Scam Expose^ Ni Xian Gaza? on: March 28, 2018, 04:29:28 PM
Currencies are either used in a good or bad way but never made for illegal purposes.
123  Local / Pilipinas / Re: May legal implications bang dapat alalahanin pag nagcacashout galing sa bitcoin? on: March 28, 2018, 04:17:39 PM
For now, there is nothing you have to worry about.

I do not experience any problems related to converting BTC to fiat dito sa country natin. We just have to be aware sa mga gagawing hakbang ng government natin about sa pagregulate para hindi tayo magkaroon ng problema.
124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Working for Bitcoin on: March 28, 2018, 01:19:46 PM
As a student, it's hard to find a work that involves bitcoins. I'm in school 8-9 hours and when I go home, I would like a long rest. That is why, signature campaigns really gives me not much but enough to support my allowances every month.
When I have my free time. I find sites that are finding freelancers. Those who are needing not a too much technical writers or even story writers only. I earn few bitcoins there.
Sometimes, do some errands that my fellow bitcoiners want like, turn papers, then I get bitcoins in return or payment.
I want to know on which platforms do I need to trade cryptocurrencies? If I get a bounty token, I want to sell but I don't know about selling on that platform.

It will depend on the token that they will be giving you. If that token will be listed in an exchange then I guess your token could be valuable. sometimes it is hard to tell whether it will be worth something or not. As long as it is not listed on an exchange platform, it will be useless in a while or for a long tie. That is why when joining bounties that gives off tokens, better be on one that gives famous tokens or alts like ETH and LTC. I think Ripple has potential too. Also it is good to know or give initial judgement if a project would be succesful.
125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good News on: March 28, 2018, 11:51:45 AM
I think it is a good sign that associations are pro cryptocurrencies and sees that banning is not the only way and step that could let bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies exist. For sure there are plans made for it and for betterment of its use. I just hope that the argument  would not lead to more destruction and banning of cryptos instead more development and investment of institution for further growth and involvement of cryptocurrenciesin economical growth of countries.
126  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is the risk necessary to make a big profit? on: March 28, 2018, 05:31:33 AM
I think it is like this.
BIG CAPITAL=BIG RISKS=BIG PROFITS/BIG LOSSES  or SMALL CAPITAL=LESS RISKS=SMALL PROFITS/SMALL LOSSES
It is quite  an easy logic but the process of gaining is difficult. But in order to earn big is to risk a big capital and with that you can win or lose big time in a short period of time. If your goal is just to earn then find a job that pays bitcoin and work hard for it for a long time. I think you an actually save good amount if you will be patient that way.
127  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading don't work for me too well on: March 26, 2018, 06:22:08 PM
Everyone has their own ups and down when it comes to trading and I think its not actually all your fault. Trading is very hard because everything is unpredictable. Some predictions might be correct but none of the or just few are accurate but no assurance in every investment. As you have mentioned your flaws, you seem to say you can not overcome them and that may further cause you more loses so as an advice try to put yourself in another direction. There is more than just trading. cryptocurrencies are very flexible and you can find different ways to make more out of it.
128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you support to open bitcoin or crypto in college level? on: March 26, 2018, 06:12:39 PM
I think a separate course would not work. If implementing the cryptocurrenciies in a subject I think it could fall under Economics in order to be accessible and available to almost all of the courses. I will support learning about cryptocurrencies as long as it not being limited to everyone. I think teaching cryptocurrencies to courses just based on computers or businesses is not fair. Hoping tht it s not limited to courses like Nursing, Agricultures, Fisheries and other courses that are not that much related to technology but also fairly needing introduction about cryptocuurencies .
129  Economy / Economics / Re: Buying a house with BTC on: March 26, 2018, 05:50:13 PM
When you have saved a lot from bitcoins, I think it is a good idea to buy house and properties. Surely they are the most wonderful investment you can make out of your earned money instead of letting it all stay within the blockchain and  be unfortunate to get them all back. It is wise to leave some but never leave it all there.
And when it comes to payment processes, it will be depending on the seller too. If the seller wants it in fiat then do not force to pay bitcoins because it will be your fault if the seller is forced to accept a currency that he or she is unfamiliar with and the amount of bitcoins deceased in value.
130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Still Good to Make Investment in it on: March 26, 2018, 05:16:45 PM
I do not recommend depending on the prices to know if Bitcoins is still worth to invest for but simply we are still in the process of adapting cryptocurrencies and that makes it still new and worth to invest for. There is big potential that it can be implemented in the right way in every country and developments are very much possible with the help of the government.
But be sure that if you are going to invest, you have knowledge about it already. It would be very helpful if you read more about it first and learn how the market move to avoid great loses.
131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We need cartoons about bitcoin to promote on: March 25, 2018, 01:55:24 PM
Seeing cartoon about bitcoins is refreshing. I think we take it too seriously ( it's not that I do not want to  take it seriously  Grin ) and having cartoons makes it more catchy and exciting.
The fact that bitcoins is a very risky investment, cartoons can bring the whole thing alive and it is possible to explain it in a way that everyone could possibly understand it. Bitcoins don't really have an age limit and cartoons could contain everything that a youngest user could understand. Hopefully, there will be more and I hope it contains all facts and not FUDs.
132  Other / Meta / Re: Everyone can trade his merit! on: March 25, 2018, 01:47:01 PM
Another angry user about merit system I guess.
It's like this, most of the people here are for earning and gaining profits, they care much about the new system because it is causing accounts to freeze and without their accounts ranking up to a higher one, their earnings will remain low rated.
You can not trade merits as well as sell them because it will mean that you are abusing the new system or simply cheating. As of the rules, we need to rank by following and with the implementation of the new system.
It gave good results and I think it will be used forever. Trader of merits will not last that long I guess.
133  Other / Archival / Re: Help a Beginner to understand... on: March 24, 2018, 09:14:01 PM
Hello guys...

I have diversified my portfolio to about 25 different cryptos which were worth about 7000-8000$ just before the bitcoin crash came and I am wondering whats the exact reason behind this, when or will it recover (and so the alt coins I hold, don't have any bitcoin).

Why do almost all alt coins crash because of the bitcoin crash or correction?

My portfolio is worth only 4000$ atm.

Sorry for being an beginning idiot and asking this and thanks for everybody who can explain it to me

You have nothing else to do but to hold mate. As long as we know that we are still on the process of adapting bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies you might as well as wait like others do. You have lost  quite huge and I think patience will at least keep your loses less and not permanent. It is hard to tell if prices will actually reach 18-19k USD again but it won't hurt if you will hope for it. It once happened and I think possibilities are high.

I think crashes are mostly because of FUDs, scammers and banning of bitcoins. Hang in there mate.
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what if the top 6 coins is worth a trillion each by 2020? on: March 24, 2018, 09:02:03 PM
Since we are playing a game of ifs: What if they are worth less than a pizza? Have you ever thought of that too?

Yeah. But I think the reason why people are just thinking about pumps and skyrocket is because other  people set their minds that from the value right now it can actually go above it. That keeps people interested to cryptos and if most of the people will think that it will have value less than a pizza then I think less people will be leaving it very soon taking all their investments that will also pull the market down.

Predicting the price somehow influences the market and there are possibilities that it could go either way.
135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin going to be forever pump and dump? on: March 24, 2018, 02:27:56 PM
Even currencies in different countries are not stable but is influenced by the supply and its demand.
As for Bitcoins, we have limited supply and miners are the one mining up the coins to be in the circulation but not more than 21 million can be mined. So the next factor that would affect the volatility of bitcoins is the adaption worldwide. For example, if there are only a hundred people who has bitcoins equally and one sold everything he have then prices would be 10% down. The fact that bitcoins are distributed worldwide, it will be harder to manipulate the prices. So if bitcoins become mainstream, volatility might not be that brutal in dumps and ups.
136  Other / Meta / Re: Merit! Why Merit is sold and how to stop it? on: March 16, 2018, 10:59:03 PM
I propose here to discuss the objectives and the results of Merit. Why I touched on this question.
I and many new users are faced with the fact that for promotion you need to somehow get Merit.
I began to read a lot about this and ask people about how they got Merit.
I was touched by the fact that many newcomers tend to buy Merit, and do not deserve it from other users, offering quality posts.
I learned the situation about buying Merit, and easily found willing to sell me Merit at a price of $ 28 for 1.
I can afford to buy, but this is against the worthy goal of "Merit". Merit is more than money!
As you see Merit, I did not buy it!

Buying Merits will be useless. You would still need to make quality posts to where your merits will be given. If not, the merit that will be given to you will be suspicious.

Though we can not rely on reporters of merit abusers, we should let the users realize that there is more than just earning here in the forum. Thank you because you are not one of them.
137  Other / Off-topic / Re: Self-education. on: March 12, 2018, 11:27:47 PM
Is it possible to become a specialist studying by yourself?

Honestly, yes you can. You can have all the resources you can within books and the internet which are ready made available. But on the other hand, there will be a slight problem with you studying by yourself. You do not have anyone to ask questions if you needed the simplest way to understand it. No shortcuts because you will have t scan everything by yourself. You would not know if you are still on track or something like that. I think guidance is still important when it comes to specializing something.
But with the determination of being a specialist on your own is admirable. I think people with that kind of attitude is powerful. Just an advice, try to be open too, you might end up isolating yourself from others.
138  Other / Meta / Re: Where the Merit Pours? on: March 12, 2018, 10:34:33 PM
Good statistics there mate. Very helpful and I thought I could just assume where merits are given the most.
Before, I thought that merits were not given in local board at all and only in threads like meta and serious thread only. Some are actually suggesting for a merit source in local boards which I think may or may not be a good idea. I think local boards will be prone to spam and shit posts again if they would know that merits will rain there too. I may be a good idea contrary to the first one because, native language is the best language you can use to express a point or explain to others what you know.
139  Other / Meta / Re: Does merit really helping the forum. on: March 12, 2018, 10:20:53 PM
In general, it's a great system. And I think it is helpful not just now but also in the future.

There are a lot of people who are complaining about the new system but they are not seeing the importance of it in the future.

I do know that spammers will still be spammers and yeah, they will still be paid but I think they will also be finding that staying in a single rank for the rest of their time here in the forum will be kind of boring so they will find a way to work on their merits to rank up.

In the meantime, let's just accept the system and wait for the results in the future to kick in.

Farm accounts could just be frozen for a while and can still be paid but I think it can all disappear if they will be caught, if they got negative trust and if they are tired of posting and not getting any merits. For now, we should wait.

It is not easy to simply eradicate spammers and shit posters. But certainly, it was a good step forward from our moderators for keeping our forum functional. The new system is serving the forum good and it works efficiently. I can tell that nonsense comments were lessened. I think with more time, we could see greater results from it. I am not just hoping but I am sure with it.
140  Other / Meta / Re: I just want to ask about merit on: March 12, 2018, 10:10:54 PM
Your first 3 merits were a bit suspicious to me. Try to avoid trading merits with you friend if it is possible next time of if you are an alt, you registered the same date with the user account which gave you merit recently and you send merit back to him and URL link a bit similar. If you wanted to stay here for a long time, avoid being accused as a abuser and try to be as constructive as you can. We are kabababayan and I hope you do good in here too. Good luck mate. Read more.
