121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers favorite tools on: July 17, 2020, 04:15:38 PM
Scammers uses catchy and popular concepts to get easy money from gullible investors. They don't do much work and just copy pastes others work with some slight change. Other popular scams except the ones mentioned by OP at the moment are
1. Masternode coins - 90% of them are just scams.
2. Exchange coins - Don't believe any exchange coins as good exchange would always bring their exchange first and issue the ICO on their own exchange.

That is just it. If they successfully open their exchanges, it will be a pitfall for most investors, because whatever fund they send in there is all gone. Many of them will bring up strategies that would lure traders with huge funds. They would be deceived to send more funds in, promising some forms or rewards or incentives and at the end, they will disappear. A typical example of such is BCNEX.

Other popular ways of scamming people with fraudulent ICOs
- STO, they claim to give x percent of operating profit for x time or forever. Many people did jumped into those STOs and at one time they were quite famous until IEO were the new trend.
- Mining projects. No mining industry can provide a sustainable profit for investors just for one time investment as it's a dynamic business.
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance Card Launches in Europe on: July 17, 2020, 07:44:01 AM
It's a great business strategy of Binance to mold them according to the local priorities and laws. With US citizen being blocked from the exchange, they create a local exchange curated just for US citizens and abiding by the rules of the nation. They are not letting anyone be left behind. They even catalyzed P2P and OTP trading in China and it's been rumored that they are in talk with the Chinese authorities to let Chinese trade crypto once again. But it would surely come with a lot of restrictions like the US version.
123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is my own opinion about Bitcoin block halving on: July 17, 2020, 06:41:49 AM
Though the last date for miners to get reward through bitcoin generation is 2140, the amount would be so negligible that transaction fees reward would be much larger than that reward early on. About 90% of bitcoin are already in circulation from 11 years of bitcoin network being live. And the rest of 120 years would only generate the left 10%. That too would keep decreasing rapidly as the halving progresses.
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto mass adoption closing in on: July 15, 2020, 10:38:57 AM
Everything with crypto keeps getting better, thanks to binance, the team and CEO isn't aiming for their pockets only but helping crypto in general, they understand how important mass adoption is for crypto to survive in future, now I heard binance card is getting launched soon, thank you binance and team

Another good news this year is about PayPal involvement in crypto currency, imagine how easier mass adoption will become if PayPal implement crypto payment?

I even believe that Decentralized Finance and Stable coins will play major role too

So far.....So good with crypto, at least we are getting some where, step by step, bit by bit
Binance is such a big help to the community, he makes us believe, that an exchange is capable to make a big difference in the industry and the company contributed a lot by helping investors find a good projects on their IEO based crowdfunding, they acquired Coinmarketcap for transparency in volume and liquidity, there's more to come for Binance that we have to wait.

The good thing about centralized projects is they earn more and efficiently enabling them to spend some of their profit on advertisement, promotions and creating tutorials and better experience for the users. We can't expect a global crypto adoption without the involvement of private enterprise specially when we are still away from creating a decentralized cross platform solution. A centralized platform can easily integrate fiat and cryptos without the need for users to do trades manually.

The link does seem to be of the forum itself. But not quite sure what the seclock does maybe is some kind of security lock.

It's a miss spell of seclog, a log that gives information about recent password and email changes and waking up.
https://bitcointalk.org/seclog.php

u=2798762 is your profile. t=1751009958 could be time or something. Maybe it's some kind of prank some users are playing with you. Or maybe the link is just a text with a different hyperlink.

126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if cryptocurrency on: July 12, 2020, 04:53:04 AM
Those were the days of hype. Though no one can guarantee that won't come back but it would not be as effective as the last one. People blindly jumped into any ICO or coin and it rose crazy bringing them instant profit. It was more like a ponzi bubble and when it burst, the prices came to the reality. For some coins, that were zero.
That sort of growth is not much beneficial to the development and adoption of crypto. That burst has plunged the prices to depression for more than 3 years now.
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What was the first-ever ICO you’ve invested? on: July 11, 2020, 02:39:16 PM
I think the first ICO I ever invested was EOS. Their ICO ran for a complete year and I was not quite sure if to invest on it or not. But within the ICO, they were getting more and more attention due to their development and there was a great hype surrounding it. I bought some coins and sold them for some profit after about six months. And I don't regret it.
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stablecoins are never perfectly stable on: July 08, 2020, 10:04:34 AM
Stable coins either hold the fiat amount/commodity they are pegged to or have an escrow larger than the value of their issued coins. A stable USD coin either need to hold US dollar or need to have an escrow thats more than sufficient to cover the USD and if the value went down, they'd need to either increase the escrow amount or decrease the supply. For gold backed coins, they also need to maintain the amount of gold equal to the value of their issued coin or a larger escrow.
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin tiktok challenge Hype. on: July 08, 2020, 07:19:46 AM
It's good to see that a cryptocurrency got viral on a platform like tiktok but as it was advertised as a good investment, it would have been better if the starter of trend went with a coin that could be a better investment. Dogecoin though do have price changes and places to make you rich, is an infinite supply coin which would not be a good investment for long run. This way the naive people may get more dissatisfaction on moving to crypto following a social trend.
130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Band-aid solution for the bitcoin.org dilemma? on: July 07, 2020, 10:04:11 AM
Never heard stupider idea.
Why would he even do that.
Bitcoin.org remain with the bitcoin community. And even if we went through transfer of ownership (from cobra), it would remain within bitcoin community.
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do not participate in non reputed bounty managers campaign on: July 07, 2020, 09:01:58 AM
Bounty manager themselves can't guarantee the success of a bounty campaign but they can make it much secure for the participants. There are now a few bounty managers in the altcoin bounty section who would ask the project to escrow the funds with them and they'll be responsible to distribute the coins after the campaign. It does provide some sense of security to the participants but still don't add up any chances of reducing the scam as a good project would pay anyway while a bad one even if they paid with tokens would be useless.

This is exactly what happen to the kingcasino bounty. The bounty managers did escrowed the funds in favor of the participants. All they wanted it was to make it secure for the participants but the project themselves claimed they failed to reach their target and plans to refund the investors. This way the effort made by the bounty participants went in vain and bounty managers too failed to reward their users as the coins they hold, holds no value. A successful bounty depends on the effort of a lot of people not just bounty manager.
132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PAYPAL RUMOR on: July 07, 2020, 02:21:16 AM
When a new person learns about Bitcoin, the first question they ask is how can I buy some bitcoin with Paypal. People are still doing buy and sell of bitcoin and altcoins with Paypal but it has it's own risks. Many fraudulent traders were intentionally creating a dispute an Paypal was making a decision on their favor claiming they can't verify that the trade did happen. With this, Paypal buying and selling of crypto would be safer.
133  Economy / Services / Re: Simple trading technique to earn 3% to 10% per day on: June 27, 2020, 10:14:28 AM
Be your own boss trading on Binance and earn lot of money simple trading chart technique that will earn consistently
Ask for details

3 to 10% a day are not abnormal on trading but you can't always achieve that. The profit would be coming if the market kept moving according to your strategy but when it moves against you, you should retort towards minimizing your loss. 10% per month would be a good result for an experienced trader.
134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin.com forum closes ?? on: June 25, 2020, 04:44:46 PM
If your predictions become true (he is seeking ways to get out of bitcoin completely) this will be disastrous for bitcoin in the short and mid term.

It will be fine in the long term but the recovery might take years. If the rumors were true, this dude owns thousands of btc, then he can pump and dump again it for a long time.

Nah man, Bitcoin isn't even going to experience the slightest of damage. How can a dead forum shutting down even impact bitcoinin the first place?

1. Bitcoin.com is mostly a forum for big blockers(bitcoincash people).
2. Bitcoin.com's forum has been on a downtrend for years, and is only on it's last leg.

Yeah the forum was effectively dead with no discussion or new topics. Even the BCH people prefer reddit over that forum.
Bitcoin.com though is giving conflicting information about bitcoin and calling bitcoin as BTC=Bitcoin Core while Bitcoincash as bitcoin. And many new users are getting more confused on visiting the site.
135  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Read and Learn bounty managers on: June 25, 2020, 03:43:15 PM
It's great to see some of the bounty managers that are maintaining their standards. There are many who don't even care and their were some who misused their trust to scam the participants and the investors. Hope every bounty managers would learn from mistakes of previous managers and work with the projects but in favor of the bounty participants and the forum.
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Compound Coin is worth investing......? on: June 19, 2020, 04:17:23 PM
This is the token of popular defi Compound Finance. They have a total supply of 10M coins if you meant that.
This is a new coin and they are awarding it to the users of compound finance dapp. I don't have exact idea about what features the coin holders would enjoy but they say it to be the governance token that would allow COMP token-holders and their delegates debate, propose, and vote on changes to the protocol.
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Talk Token and Yobit on: June 19, 2020, 04:24:23 AM

They do have a lot of support fro the Russian community though. Its not the English section that matters to cryptotalk, its the Russians and they do have some campaigns there including BestChange and some coins using minter network. If this talk token have some value which it might just be is their services section will work just as they planned, it could work for them.
That's local campaigns but we are talking about what will be the future of the forum. Someone has already mentioned the correct thing about the token will be traded in september that means the posters must have posted in the forum without knowing how much their payment.

I don't know there are still people there as long as they pay, there will be users there. Its said to be traded on september, this will break the heart of those who wants to earn BTC only. I would only expect it to be pumped by september. The forum is developing it to have some use in the forum itself maybe includes for advertising.

They even had a bitcoin reward for every post in the past. It did increased their number of users and post but they couldn't bring in any useful discussion. What more could you expect from an exchange that is infamous for scamming it's users and bring up many ponzi schemes and fake tokens that are not even real tokens but only manipulated numbers on the exchange.
138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India may again ban cryptocurrency on: June 14, 2020, 03:04:56 PM
I noticed South Asian country authorities are more into banning crypto. Possibly they think it's hard for them to regulate crypto but the reality is - true crypto enthusiast will find their own way and it can't be stopped for real. The wise move will be to study and adopted with crypto culture.
And not only Asian countries are doing that. Russia is going to ban cryptocurrency too. I can't understand this logic. Of cause, regulation is a sophisticated process, but banning isn't the answer.

Russia does not bun cryptocurrencies. It is simply do not regulate cryptocurrences. I do not think that it is possible to bun cryptocurrencies.

Banning cryptocurrency is not possible at all. Highly surveillance countries like China could make it much more hard to get and trade crypto. US would not be able to go on full ban as they can't just punish people for trading tokens. Europe's case is also similar. And for most of the world, they still have no idea about how crypto works.
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Future of Crytopcurrency on: June 13, 2020, 04:31:07 PM
The future is of course of cryptocurrency and blockchain. It's being applied and used everywhere are soon our lives would be filled with them. Though most of them would be highly regulated and our government would love to regulate everything we use and do but there would still be two distinct group of crypto. Regulated ones and the free ones.
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I need your help guys! on: June 13, 2020, 02:10:24 PM
That is a poorly designed site that doesn't even have a proper motivation to give them your money.
With so much opportunities and option in crypto world, don't let other manage your funds. You can play with your currency and earn for yourself.
If investment is what you need, look for insured and trusted services or go with verified dex which are transparent.
