If this is true why do members rush then to involve themselves in bounties as you have said of its worthlessness? Is it that they do not know or they just want to do it and been seen as members wearing campaign signals?
I know this from my experience of participating in such bounties. For several years of participation in such bounties, there were only a few that really brought a good profit, but I repeat there were too few of them.  And the probability that you will be lucky with the choice is too small.

My comment was not arguing what you said in your post. You are correct. And as someone who has done bounties severally I have been cheated too. I was only showing my surprise why members still go for bounty hunting when they know that the chances of making something out of it is very low but they still do it. This is what makes me confused. People doing things they know will not be of benefit to them. That maltreatment keeps increasing there but nothing is done to end it.

It makes no sense to hodl altcoins that you received from the bounty, since their price will tend to zero.

If this is true why do members rush then to involve themselves in bounties as you have said of its worthlessness? Is it that they do not know or they just want to do it and been seen as members wearing campaign signals? This is not only minutes to new members because I have seen high tanked members who are also involved in bounties.

If you are not familiar with trading, then just hodl BTC in your wallet.

This is a valuable advice and will work out well for those who have their focus on holding for a long time and not those who sell almost immediately they bought.
123  Other / Off-topic / Re: Questions for dating on: February 26, 2023, 08:01:56 AM

Not everyone likes to talk. And those who are not talkative will find your questions too preying into their privacy on a first day. What I do is to let the environment we are meeting decide what we have to talk about. Talk brings talks. The way my date will respond to the discussion on our immediate environment will let me know what direction the discussion will head. If I discover the person is a food lover, I will begin to talk about recipes and cooking. If she is a sports person, we go that way and so on. I do not like going on date prepared. That backfires and am left speechless.
124  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Earthquakes in Turkey over 25000 persons loss their lives on: February 24, 2023, 08:58:42 AM
Life circumstances has no calendars, it happens everywhere and is really tempted sometimes to question the nature. Why is things the way they are? Why do people who are good to us perished like grasses? What's the hope not die young?
But is understandable nature can not gives us answers, I sincerely sympathies with the country's losses.

My sympathy is to the people of Turkey. The number of deaths recorded in that disaster is terrible for something those people did not bargain or brought upon themselves. Countries that do not experience earthquakes do not know what it means to have them. You go to sleep with fear and not knowing what day the building you are staying in will sink. It is a terrible way to die, suffering under severe pain with blocks and irons pressing one to death. We in Africa do not have such natural disaster apart from flooding which is most times man made disaster because of environmental negligence and pollution. Earthquake is a terrible thing to witness.

No mind that dwarf for Kaduna weh deh rum him mouth there. Residents of Kaduna deh talk say market people no agree to accept the old notes. Them supposed call that Elrufai man to order before he will cause more problems fir this country. Him and the Kano governor just deh try Buhari. 126  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If it was you on: February 17, 2023, 07:33:10 PM
Spot can be a nice start for newbies from what i have seen from the market so far. Since it only entails buying and holding until the asset appreciates just that it will only require patience since little or no technical skill is needed although with technical skill the trader can have more advantage over the market.

You have said it all and that is the general thinking of traders with modest mindset. Only greedy people who are started out newly rush into Futures type of trading because of what gains they heard it gives. Spot is a little less risky but it does not give the type of profit or loss Futures give which can be traded both ways of buy and sell with your chosen risk level through leveraging. Futures trading requires enough trade practice unlike Spot.
127  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you believe racism has come to stay!! ? on: February 17, 2023, 03:59:56 PM
in fact, in the process of solving this problem, a solution to this problem has not been found,

And I repeat as long as people get angry and loose control of their emotions, they will lose their reasoning and insults will fly up and down to get revenge and this is where the utterances that cause racism come out of the brain. We see people of other colours different from our own as though they are handicaps. Most people see handicapped people or those who are physically challenged as lesser humans. That is what also happens with colour difference to those who curse others because of skin difference. They see them as lesser human beings. With that there is no way it will end so long as man exists.
128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One reason why bitcoin is still the King on: February 17, 2023, 03:37:33 PM
Trying to get a good altcoin is always tasking and  after all the effort even if it reaches expectations, it's price still remains dependent on how Bitcoin is growing. So in the End bitcoin still remains the King

Altcoins should start moving away from bitcoin and not collapse whenever bitcoin does. This is beginning to affect the general market behaviour because people get scared whenever bitcoin falls and rush to sell their altcoins in fear and that causes price to fall. We should by now start seeing investors have confidence in whatever altcoins they have and keep holding them even when bitcoin is going down.
129  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My perceived unconscious benefit of bitcointalk. on: February 17, 2023, 02:23:40 PM
I believe that one of the two or more reasons people visit this forum is to learn things. The forum is similar to a school where you must remain disciplined and law abiding in order to interact with other members. Those who refuse to do so usually end up on the wrong side of the forum and have their accounts tagged. No matter how bad you are, when you get here, you'll definitely learn something new that will change your life for the better.

The forum is not similar to a school. It is a school. Infact, how many schools teach what we learn here? It does not only have to be bitcoin lessons, there are other aspects of this forum that you can learn other things that are not bitcoin related. Politics, religion, gambling ethics, relationship coaching are all there. Just name it. And it also provides financial tips for keeping the body going.
130  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Identification of scammers? on: February 17, 2023, 11:49:42 AM
Am a beginner and I was telling a friend about this forum and it's beneficiaries, but it all turns that he said it all a scam so I want to know how to identify scammers and if there is any how can we know them as a beginner.

If your friend said this forum is a scam, what did he see to make that kind of conclusion when he is not registered here or is he here? Try and find out why he has that mindset about this forum. It can be because of the way you told him the type of money he will make as a member of this forum. And since it is hard to find any other site that allows you make money on it, it is very hard to believe such exists. I do not blame your friend.
131  Other / Meta / Re: How to send merit? on: February 17, 2023, 08:35:17 AM
I have seen alot of good post here and I wish to merit it but I don't know how it's been done,I just want to know how it's been done.

Charles-Tim has answered that for you clearly eventhough what you asked for is under your nose, looking you in the eyes. You have to start spending more time on the forum and get engagements so that you will begin to find out how little things like that work here. From BPIP data I see you are honest about what you said and have not sent a single merit to any member. Get busy. But you can close this topic now as your question has its answer already.
132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is Art on: February 16, 2023, 06:49:11 PM
Bitcoin is a peer-to-peer electronic currency, just like Satoshi said. When people start calling it something else, like "a swarm of digital hornets", "digital gold", "art", "revolution" and so on, it suggests that it isn't doing well as currency, because otherwise people wouldn't need to create new narratives of what Bitcoin is.

You should not make heavy about how the Op tried to paint bitcoin. I do not think he means anything bad. It could he is trying to see bitcoin from the eye of an artist. I see what the Op said as a kind of poem on bitcoin. Poets have their way of saying things. Every other person that qualified bitcoin different from what Satoshi said it is not saying it because they are trying to rubbish bitcoin or Satoshi's statement of fact. It is only that they want to add more attributes to bitcoin on how it appeals to them.
133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Heavyweight Boxing 1st April 2023: Joshua vs Franklin on: February 16, 2023, 04:05:17 PM
Joshua seems too willing and eager to win this fight. He's into serious series of training because for sure, he doesn't want to miss the chance of proving himself more in this field again.

Like they say, this boxers all go into the ring looking prepared until something hits them and changes their game plan. I want to hope that Joshua will not expose his flanks for body shots or let down his hands as he often does when he thinks he is having an upper hand. Infact, his game plan should be on how to finish Franklin within the first 6 rounds without letting it go further. He should not rely on judges unanimous decision to win the bout. It may not favour him like it did in his rematch with Usyk.
134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Heavyweight Boxing 1st April 2023: Joshua vs Franklin on: February 16, 2023, 01:43:30 PM
We should see a different Joshua he will never look at any opponent lightly again after the Ruiz loss and Usyk back to back losses where he is the favorite to win in those matches,

My wish is for AJ to take this one so that it can restore his confidence. The statistics favour him in the upcoming encounter and I hope he makes a bold statement with that match. Anything short of a TKO will not be good for his dwindling boxing career.

Joshua is still young and can still make a lot of great fights but he should start somewhere and this is it.

Fitness over age is the core thing in sports like boxing. Most times it is the younger boxers who ends up taking the shine off the more advanced ones. In terms of age the stats favour Jermaine Franklin age wise. But I want AJ to win.
135  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you believe racism has come to stay!! ? on: February 16, 2023, 12:34:21 PM

There is no way racism can be abolished. Let us not deceive ourselves. People react to his people look, whether they are handicapped or of different colour or tribe like what happens in my country. You can not stop that. It has been there for ages. In today's world we also get to see that in sports too, with football fans chanting racist songs. Colour difference says alot. In my country those who are dark skin have a certain they react to albinos around them who are also blacks like them, and we want racism to stop at the world stage? It is not going to happen.
136  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Pastor brings riffle to church on: February 16, 2023, 10:35:44 AM
Please correct me if am wrong but I think something like this has never happened before in this country and this should be the very first time a pastor is bringing a gun to church.

That pastor surname self resemble one of our guy here weh be Aigbe. I no know if they are related or na just coincidence. I saw something similar in the north like 3 or 4 years ago when those Boko Haram boys were on rampage and some pastors in the north begin carry AK 47 enter church. But nobody arrested anybody for that then. Abi na photo shop be all that thing that time?

I've my thoughts on this subject and it can be found in 2 Cor 10:4

"For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds" (NKJ)

That portion of the bible deh talk about spiritual warfare o, no be physical fight. And na part of the thing weh deh make Christians no deh like fight physically, instead they will follow the matter up with prayer. Na spiritual deh conquer physical first.
137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Withdrawing Bitcoin off the radar on: February 16, 2023, 06:47:01 AM
Yes, one option for exchanging Bitcoin for cash in hand is through peer-to-peer (P2P) transactions. However, as you mentioned, this may not be convenient or practical for everyone. Another option is to use a cryptocurrency exchange that supports cash deposits or withdrawals. Some exchanges allow users to deposit cash into the exchange, which can then be used to purchase Bitcoin. Similarly, the Bitcoin can then be sold for cash, which can be withdrawn as cash in hand through a physical exchange location. Not sure where you are from, but if trading Bitcoin is legal in your country, there should be physical exchanges where you can buy and sell cryptocurrencies. The best thing to do is to ask your local community.

He does not want to use an exchange, he does not also want it to go through banks because of tax cuts and this limits his options. But how can someone exchange bitcoin without an exchange or banks. Eventhough he wants to go through a P2P and avoid exchanges, he will also need the bank to receive fiat equivalent of his transaction. I do not know if there are people who carry cash around and look for those physically selling their bitcoin. Bitcoin is more of online and internet thing.
138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Choosing between your relationship and gambling. on: February 15, 2023, 10:00:11 PM
Her reasons is because she has this brother that's into gambling and his gambling habit has led to him selling off important properties of his and some that belongs to the whole family just to meet up with his uncontrollable gambling urge. And this experience scares her to death having anything to do with anyone she notice that engages in gambles activities especially for someone she's in a serious relationship with, that she can't deal with such reality.

She may be right. We have seen alot of cases of gambling addiction and what it has led to. If she has a bad experience of gambling addiction with her brother and does not want her man who is your cousin to continue gambling, your cousin should listen to her and not dismiss her worries of he cares for his relationship with her. It should be a dialogue and he has to see things from her eyes. It can even be that your cousin did not tell you the truth about whatever winnings he has been getting. Women like money and if your cousin was making money from his gambling, am not sure his girlfriend would have been complaining of him getting into it.
139  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ego and too much confidence are dangerous in investing. on: February 15, 2023, 07:17:14 PM
2021 I started my journey here in crypto, I was lucky because I was able to invest in other cryptos before it went all the way up. NFTs, P2E games, airdrops and hyped shitcoins lol. Of course I earned a lot and since it's my first time I became very confident thinking I'm so smart lol Grin. I have more money to spare, so I end up investing left and right carelessly thinking i will earn more but the truth is majority of those i have invested are lost money because of bear market, scam projects and rugpulled shitcoins. I think I am not for crypto Sad.

No man has it all when it cones to cryptos. We have our sad sides to share too of how we have lost money. Cryptocurrency investment is a luck type of investment. You can invest today and be in huge profit faster than someone who invested months before you. Sometimes it is even on the same token but at different time of buying it. When we get lucky and make money from cryptocurrency we should not start acting all too knowing and smart. That is the lesson we all should learn from your story.
140  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Wike not supporting Atiku on: February 15, 2023, 06:19:32 PM
And why be say wike no support Peter obi based on the issues en get with Atiku, why en choose to support Tinubu?

Na because Wike deh find who go butter him bread and he knows Peter Obi no go get that type of package for him. Wike fall my hand like other politicians. As a young vibrant man him for side with vibrant Peter Obi but selfishness no deh allow them do the right thing. We still deh wait make Wike openly call the name of the person weh him deh support as him make mouth for December last year. Till today he has not. Ee deh clear now say fear don enter Wike body.
